We passed by Everest Chill Pepper many times but never went in, until one day we were hungry for lunch and happened to be in the area. As a Taiwanese person, I was very curious and intrigued by the Indo-Chinese dishes on the menu. The shop was quiet and clean, there was only one other family there during our lunch. So we got seated and placed our order right away. There were several large screen TVs in the dining area playing various shows. One was displaying beautiful sceanaries from the Himalayas and that captured my attention for the longest time. Soon our food came. We ordered the steamed Chicken Momos, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Naan and they all looked very good. We liked the curry, and the momos were fun to eat. It's a bit different but also very similiar to a Chinese bao. The Momo has much thiner skin and the filling tasted slightly different from a plain meat bao. To me, it feels kinda like a larger version of a soup dumpling without the pool of the broth inside. Needless to say, I found myself studying the momos while stuffing them into my mouth as they were quite delicious and easy to eat. It's a tangy spiced tomato thin soup/sauce that goes so amazingly well with the momos. My child loves it with her garlic naan. There are Indian menu and Indo chinese menu so we tried both. - Butter chicken: good. Although the bowl looked small, it had big chunks of tender chicken pieces. The gravy was creamy and it was more tomatoey for my liking (but it was still tasty!). - Garlic naan: perfectly baked a bit crispy yet still soft. We dined here on an early weeknight for dinner. Located in a rather odd strip mall next to a bar and some other closed leased spaces. Upon entering we noticed a rather large space with nothing in it but one chair and a table in the middle of that space. Only one other family was there at this time in the dining area. Decor is odd (?) and cafeteria-like, with one big flat screen on the furthest wall playing Indian music videos. Lacking was any welcoming energy vibe. The menu is Indian/Indo Chinese with a host of momo dishes which apparently is their specialty here. The dishes we ordered were on the greasy side and not spicy hot even though we requested them to be on the hotter side (level 8 of 10 should constitute pretty spicy hot). During our meal, only 1 other family came in, and 2 take out carriers. That's not a lot of traffic to keep a business running. Overall, not a bad experience, but not much of an experience at all. Some of the dishes weren't to my taste: paneer dish was too minty but whatever not everything is going to be for me, nor should it be to be completely honest. This gets five stars for two of the 6 dishes :fish chili and lamb curry. Both showed superior skill, the lamb was falling apart to the lightest touch of the fork and it was to die for. Lamb isn't even something I tend to like, but you really should give it a try. I think it is special. Chicken tiki masala was very good as well. For those that don't know it's Indo-Chinese; a distinct style of Chinese cuisine adapted to Indian tastes, combining Chinese foods with Indian flavours and spices.
