Came here over the weekend and it wasn't too busy. I ordered the golden Phoenix milk tea and thought it was just okay. I believe it's a type oolong tea but i didn't get that oolong taste. I do like they have grass jelly as an option along with basil seeds because I feel that's not common among boba shops. My sister wanted a mango drink but they were out of mango so she opted for a watermelon one but they were out of that too which was a bummer since we came around 1pm. Was bummed out they didn't have my go-to options like Jasmine milk tea or plain Thai tea. I don't visit Roseville often, but I finally decided (had this place bookmarked for years) to take a 20-min detour on my drive back to EG after shopping at Galleria mall lol. - Supreme lychee: was really curious since the menu description reminded me a lot of Lychee Flamingo, my go-to drink at T% Coffee + Tea. The drink here tastes very close to it, but I wouldn't recommend it at the "less sweet" level since it tasted a bit watered down (equivalent to 25% sweetness when I was hoping it would be around 50%). - Popcorn chicken: wished there was more coating thickness and blistering on the chicken, but the meat was tasty and succulent. Very patient and friendly lady at the counter! Parking lot is a little busy with the Raley's grocery store being within walking distance, but still fairly feasible on finding a spot. read more

The people here are so nice! And my drink was absolutely delicious! Cute and minimal decor. There was a stupid and rude lady wearing a snakeskin skirt and heels she clearly couldn't walk in - who complained about having Milo chocolate powder sprinkles on her drink - the drink is literally made with the same powder mixed in - she cussed the manager for not remaking the drink without the powder. At that point it would have just been blended milk. All she had to do was stir her drink. The manager handled it so well and kept her cool. Delicious smoothies and boba so close to home!! Woohoo!! Plenty of parking out front shared with multiple businesses including our main grocery store, Raley's. Friendly customer service, very clean and well maintained, classy ambiance (with Jazz music played... what?! Some spots have boba too swollen that it gets stuck in the straw or not soft enough so you're annoyed by tough, undercooked boba. Not here! Moon Tea House's boba is fantastic and NO annoyances whatsoever! Perfectly rounded and soft boba to reach 100% satisfaction with each sip! Quite a surprise to see a bit of the flavor's "origin" in a couple of the drinks themselves! My family likes their drinks here. I've only ever had their #1 which is the Magical Milk Tea with black tea, butterfly pea tea and creamer. Boba itself is fine. Decent flavor. I hate when boba has no flavor or just taste like water. That's how you know it ain't cooked right. Not too hard either so i appreciate that. I wish they had more non dairy options but so far this drink is the only one. Unfortunately I don't come here often because of that and opt for other boba places. So don't come here if you're looking for more nondairy options! They said they can't substitute anything for the creamer either. Bummer. Inside is clean. Moon tea is one of our favorite boba place here in Roseville. The quality of their drinks is very consistent. What I like the most about them is they use real fresh fruits! I do love their smoothies more than their milk tea series. Today we tried their new osmanthus and gyokuro milk tea. Osmanthus is a bit lacking, and gyokuro has a very strong jasmine tea flavor, which I like. They have a snack bar menu as well, but we haven't tried it yet. P.S. A favorite for the West Roseville neighborhoods. Located in the same shopping center as Raley One and other eateries. Parking is easy. The menu has less than 30 items but it covers majority of the popular flavors. There are 4 choices of snacks if you want something savory. You can only adjust the level 2 different ways: less sugar/ice or more sugar/ice. There isn't much alterations/substitutions you can do aside from toppings. I came in with my beautiful wife during their grand opening of Moon Tea House located off of Blue Oaks Blvd in Roseville, CA. I wanted the special drink in the bucket for my drink because 1) it looked amazing 2) it looked cool. When I got the drink, it tasted absolutely out of this world. The staff was kind and courteous, especially since we had the little one with us. We also got the food. The ambiance of the place was casual and relaxing. I ordered the #6 which was pretty much their tropical tea that came with lots of fruit. I loved that it came in a bucket, and the bucket was huge! For me, the tea flavor came across but wasn't too strong and the tea was loaded with fruit. The drinks came out very fast, so service was great, and the ambiance was very welcoming and the store was very aesthetic. I stopped by during their grand opening celebration. They've been open for a while already but were celebrating over the weekend and offering buy one get one 50% off as a special for all their customers. The firsts thing I noticed is that the plaza where Moon Tea House is located has plenty of parking and is pretty open. There are also some other great businesses around including the Raley's O-N-E Market and restaurants. Once I got inside I was met with a great aesthetic with black walls and gold accents. They also had indoor seating with comfortable chairs where you can enjoy your drinks with friends or just wait until your order is ready. I ordered the Magical Milk Tea (#1), Golden Phoenix Milk Tea (#2), Thai Tea Tornado (#16), and Coconut Coffee (#21). Some of them came out in clear cups and some came out in shimmery pearlescent cups. It was a cute touch and is definitely fun for kids or for photos. My favorite of the drinks was the Coconut Coffee followed by the Golden Phoenix. The Thai Tea Tornado wasn't our favorite, but the other drinks were tasty enough that I'd want to come back to explore more of the menu. The staff members were super nice during the whole experience and made sure I had a carrier for my drinks and were helpful when I was deciding. My five year old wanted boba and since this place is close to home I thought we could give it a try. Wouldn't it be nice to have a great place closer to home. The staff are very soft spoken. It's hard to hear them over the music they play at volume that is not super low background level. The store is pretty new so it's pretty clean. The few items they offer must be pretty good because they're fairly busy. Usually my son gets a coconut snow with boba. They don't offer coconut. Seemed kind of odd to me. I asked if they have the brown sugar smoothie. The clerk said they do. But it's a milk tea.... I asked them to blend it; they said yes. Then about five minutes later they called me to the counter and said they won't blend it. I said okay, but they charged extra for blending. The clerk said no. I asked what the extra fee was for then.... Oh that is for paying with a card. If you pay cash there's no extra fee. Wow! It would have been nice to know that - I had cash on me! I tasted my son's milk tea. It's good, which is the reason for three stars. Based upon menu, communication, and customer service the rating would have landed between one and two stars. Fighting this 110 degree weather with some great boba! We ordered a Golden Phoenix Milk Tea and an Ube Taro Smoothie. The server let me use a non-dairy creamer and swap out the house cream cheese for boba, so thankful! The tea has a strong roasted flavor that I love. I asked for less sweetness and I think the combo of less sweet + non-dairy creamer + no house cream cheese = tastes like roasted water LOL. I personally still like it! Just wanted to share my experience. The Ube Taro has to be the BEST tasting Ube/Taro drink I've ever tried!! I normally steer clear of Ube/Taro drinks but this one hits the nail on the head. Made the long drive up to Moon Tea House for their grand opening and it didn't disappoint! They have been open for a while so luckily there weren't super long lines, and they seem to already have a great system down! They were very efficient and I got my two drinks in 5 minutes. Their staff were very friendly as well, including whoever runs their social media account! I had trouble choosing and almost ordered multiple drinks for their BOGO half off deal but decided to be good and just get one for me and one for my husband! I picked the Magical Milk Tea which is a black milk tea topped with butterfly pea tea. The picture looked great but you can't see the pretty butterfly pea color because they put it in their iridescent cup! The cup is really cool too but I wish they would take advantage of the color and use the clear cup for this drink. My mini boba topping was really fresh because it was super soft and warm! My husband's Mushy Milo drink came in the frosted clear cup and you can see all of the chocolatey goodness! I love Milo and it tasted really refreshing. Loved the pudding on top too! Finally tried a boba place out in Roseville while visiting the family. The first thing I notice is that this place is open later than normal. The rest of the boba places in the area close at 8 PM. We ordered 3 drinks, I got the grapefruit lychee less sweet, mango lulu and I forgot the other drink we got. We also ordered popcorn chicken. I really enjoyed my grapefruit lychee and the two other drinks my cousin and my aunt got were really good as well. The reason why I gave 4 stars was because the popcorn chicken we ordered took almost 30 minutes for it to be ready and there was really nothing special about it. I also am not sure why it took that long. They also did not have many options for their drink toppings. I'm from the bay area so of course I'm used to having a lot of options. I think most people would enjoy this boba place. As another reviewer mentioned, menu descriptions would be helpful. My salesperson was friendly and patient to describe the drinks for me and make suggestions. I said I wanted a drink with a noticeable tea flavor and not too sugary, so I ended up ordering the #2 Golden Phoenix Milk Tea. It is fancy, topped with cheese foam and gold leaf! I added mini boba and ordered it with less ice, but as usual, I forgot to ask to reduce the sweetness. Creamy and goes down easy, but I couldn't taste the tea and only noticed how sweet it was. Eh, I don't think bubble tea is for me anymore. I should just stick to real tea. I don't think you can order hot tea drinks here. I hope the restaurant will eventually offer what appears to the Japanese souffle pancake posted as a Yelp pic. If so, I'll be running back to try that. Watch out One Milk Tea... There's a new Boba (shop) in town... I have been anticipating their opening day and they are finally open. The crowd has lessened a little bit since it's opening day on 1/14/23 and I was able to snag a table and enjoy some Chicken Wings with my Matcha Oreo Tornado (whoohoo! I don't have to drive all the way to Elk Grove at T% for this yummy flavored drink). The chicken wings (5-pcs) was tasty and flavorful too. Of course, when I'm not home on time the kids track me down on Friend Find and lo! and behold! I get a text with their orders: Herbal Tea, Supreme Lychee and The O.G. Viet Coffee. I also ordered Fried Fish Balls for the husband since he couldn't join me. The fish balls were chewy and reminds me of how they make them in the Philippines. Finally I decided to try Moon tea, so excited that it open in west Roseville! The service is ok, at first, not very welcoming but later once I started the conversation with the cashier, she was a little more open up. Hope the owner will make sure that their cashiers knows what they are selling ... The place was clean and empty when I came in, no music at all.. it felt very empty lol. Ordered their signature magical milk tea to just to try before anything else. I admit that is tea is very good and I love it! It let you to adjust the sweetness to "less sweet" and I still think is too sweet. It was weird that a boba shop that can't adjust the sugar level to zero, so I asked again and this time I was able to do it unsweetened! The worst of my trip was the popcorn chicken! They used chicken breast for their popcorn chicken, so dry ....... But why chicken breast !!??!! Then my 2 drinks ' top weren't seal correctly... so it got spilled everywhere .. so make sure to check it before leaving the store.. Overall, not bad. The milk tea tasted great, I was able to adjust the 0% sugar. Just the employees needs to be more knowledgeable of the drink and what they can adjust or not.
