Anytime I'm in the area, I try to stop by this place. Their boba is some of the best in the sac area & they have a really clean seating area with lots of cute decor. I got the Taro Blush that comes with strawberry jam at the bottom and added strawberry popping boba and the mini pearls for an additional $.75 each. The staff was really patient in answering my questions and adjusting the drink as needed. January 2025. It's very sad nowadays, there's so many boba tea cafe nowadays, but they all run the same playbook! Step one, have a computer serve your order. Step 2, charge extra for anything additional you can think of. Step 3, minimize staff. This place is terrible, there was only 1 person working on a Sunday, someone said hi welcome in but they were behind a wall, so I was confused. If you are going to welcome me, like at least make sure I can see you. No one took my order, I ordered off a computer screen. It was SUPER confusing, there was like 20 different options for boba, and I literally just wanted normal boba, and I guess the normal boba is "pearls." But it's not like I can ask that computer screen any questions. Before I checked out, it had auto tip at 15%!! That is so ridiculous, first off the order was so confusing. You only have one person working, maybe if they took my order I would give them a tip. But PSA tips are a scam nowadays, they don't even go to the workers, the tips go to the owners too who aren't even working. And yea the boba drink when I received it was not even sealed, you have to shake your boba drink that's boba 101, and part of the drink spilled so that was not great. Terrible... I was told by your night employee on 12/29/24 after 8 pm that certain items could not be made available due to products unavailable? Furthermore, faulty product or a mishandling of the product could have been avoided if employees are careful with the product. Leaking product, luckily my cup holder is plastic and removable so it was an easy clean up. But unfortunately I paid for a product that was not sanitary because it leaked out from the container and nothing was left but boba no almond milk or ice. The past employees that worked night shift before 12/29/24 were actually very wise by checking the products. My go-to drink is oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba. The Roasted Oolong Milk Tea was sooo good with a strong tea flavor, the right amount of default sweetness, and the boba was perfectly chewy. This place prides itself on quality ingredients, and while the default pearls aren't as sweet as I'm used to with brown sugar boba because they use honey for the normal pearl sweetener, it was still really good (and probably a little healthier too lol). And I think they have actual brown sugar boba (AKA Golden Boba) on the menu too so I'll have to try that next time! The White Peach Oolong Milk Tea wasn't as sweet as the Roasted Oolong, and the peach flavor was perfectly balanced with the tea. If you're looking for deeper tea flavor I would go with the Roasted Oolong but the White Peach is also refreshing and yummy! Overall the place is clean and very chill. Seems like a great place to hang with friends with some tables available for seating. Service was pretty quick and there are convenient self-order kiosks which are always a huge plus, especially if you're like me and like to take your time browsing the abundant menu options.
