I just wanted to share what I saw as another customer in response to the previous review from earlier today. The workers did make a small mistake during what seemed like a quick break switch, but one of the girls apologized immediately, made your drink in about a minute, and even offered you a free doughnut. From my view, they handled it well and kept their composure, considering how the situation became tense. Also, the "15 minutes" mentioned in the review doesn't match what you said in person about waiting "10 minutes," so the wait time was overstated. Shoutout to the same coworker who handled everything and even watched my drink and belongings while I used the bathroom. I love Bober Tea and Coffee! I get the Mochi doughnuts. so tasty!!! I think they have rice flour in them. 12/ $35 6/$18. I tried the supreme pineapple green tea. it was average. I wanted to try the supreme mango green tea, but they didn't have it. pretty colored drinks. I love the shop pink and white "flowers" in the waiting area. The server was nice. I asked her about the drinks. They have a chizu series, brown sugar series, fruit tea, latte, milk tea, latte, tea series and cloud series. I would give a higher rating but the drink was average. it was $6.20. next time I will go to Starbucks and get a Frappuccino. the Mochi doughnuts some are really tasty tho. different flavors...the best to me are black sesame, green apple, churro, and circus animal. the powdered sugar and matcha ones were bland. try Bober Tea and Coffee. next time I will buy more of the Mochi doughnut flavors I like. read more

After seeing the $2 LaBobas advertised on Instagram, we decided to stop in! I mean, $2 LaBobas? YES PLEASE!!!! We ordered on the app and went in to pick up our orders. The drinks were 10/10 as always! The Pink Haze Vietnamese Coffee is my go to!!!! It never disappoints. My youngest loves taking pics all over inside with all the pink decor! I was craving boba and decided to check this spot out since it's right next to Handel's Ice Cream. First impression wasn't great, the entrance door was full of smudges and fingerprints, and when I walked in there was no one at the front to greet customers. Everyone seemed to be in the back. The inside is very cute though. Pink decor, flower walls, definitely set up for Instagram worthy pictures. They have two ordering screens on the side, but they were covered in fingerprints too, which made the place feel a little neglected, especially since it wasn't busy at all. I ordered the Chizu Matcha Latte (50% sweet, added Oreo + boba + light ice) which came out to $9.60, along with three mochi donuts ($8.99). The drink came in a beautiful pearl colored cup that stood out, and the matcha itself was creamy and tasty. The boba, however, was firmer than I prefer. Not as soft or chewy compared to other places I've tried, even their other location in Folsom. For the donuts, I tried pumpkin, strawberry, and vanilla. The strawberry one was the cutest with little butterfly decorations, which my daughter loved. The vanilla was fine, but the pumpkin had no flavor at all. Overall, the matcha latte was solid and worth coming back for, but I'd probably skip the boba add on and the donuts next time. read more

Had their Thai tea with Boba, you can't customize the sugar sweetness on the Thai Tea but thankfully it was perfectly balanced -- rich and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and that signature deep orange color. The Boba was soft, chewy, and freshly made. It has that ideal texture: not too mushy, not too firm, with just a touch of brown sugar sweetness that complements the Thai tea beautifully. The cafe is very cute and is decorated with wall to wall pink flowers which makes a great photo op. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving classic Boba or Thai tea with top-tier boba. Came here to get a drink as I was in the area. I also hadn't been to a Bober Tea in awhile. This location is smaller than the Sacramento location. However, this one is less busy from what I remember, and friendly customer service can be seen here. But the 3 stars is for the poor quality of the drink. I ordered the mung bea pandan latte. The total was $7.60 (I added crystal boba). When it came out, it was a bright green with no milk layer and flower like it had in their photo. In fact it looked more like a honeydew milk tea. The taste was ok however it had so much ice. Will I return? I'm not sure, there's other boba places that I like over this one. They are also more expensive too with less quality. read more

I ordered the Taro Coco Cloud and was given a regular iced coffee instead. When I told the worker that the drink didn't look anything like the taro coco cloud, she told me "it's prominent, but that's the right one" and handed it to me anyway. The drink I received clearly had no taro, no coco flakes, no color, nothing like what the menu shows. It was literally just plain coffee. Not only was my order completely wrong, but she insisted it was correct even though it obviously wasn't. To make it worse, the coffee didn't taste good at all. I'll preface this that maybe I came at a not-so-good time, given the number of high quality reviews that this business has received already. I've been to a different branch of the company, and it was a better time than the one I had here. First, the milk tea was solid, but the famous boba that they're known for didn't hit the spot in the same way the other company location did. Additionally, wasn't a huge fan of the fact that there is an additional fee for less ice, which is something not all places do. One of the things they also made a good deal out of was their mochi doughnuts. Compared to some of the well-known players that sell these types of pastries, the ones here at the Roseville location of Bober were not very good. They were stale and the flavors weren't that amazing. I probably wouldn't go back for the mochi doughnuts, and instead find a competitor for them. Wanted to support Bober Tea again and purchased their Too Good to Go surprise bag. The first night, they cancelled 2 hours before pickup, which is fine. Tonight the employee forgot to cancel the orders so we made the drive and wasted gas/time for nothing. Employee Sonia did not apologize for the mistake or offer anything to remedy the inconvenience. We understand that companies will sell out but they need to give customers advance notice, so they don't waste their time. Do not plan on returning to this establishment because of their lack of customer service and organization. Will find other companies in the area to support instead. read more

I've only come here for Too Good To Go, which is a good value with 5 mochi donuts. I got 3 different kinds, 2 of which were cute seasonal ones that tasted good/not stale, and were even good the next day. My flavors were crushed peppermint candy cane, chocolate Rudolph reindeer with pretzel antlers, and an oreo ube or taro one, all of which were surprisingly not overly sweet, and perfectly chewy. I've been to other Bober locations where the TGTG surprise is 6 mochi donuts and more variety, but I'd still get it here. I don't typically like their drinks because you can't choose the amount of ice or how sweet they make it, and it's typically way too sweet. The interior of this location is extremely pink and flowery. Definitely ultra Instagrammable. They're next door to a popular ice cream place in the Roseville Galleria area, so this is a good place to be at if y'all want dessert! There is plenty of parking. read more

Ordered the roasted oolong milk tea 75% sweet, brown sugar matcha latte 100% sweetness, chizu matcha latte 75% sweet. All were misses. The roasted oolong milk tea tasted like powdered sweetened milk couldn't taste tea 5/10. Chizu matcha latte too sweet and barely taste matcha flavor in tiny little grains 6/10. Brown sugar matcha latte way too sweet just taste like sweet milk no matcha. Tapioca is tough and obviously shaped as compressed frozen/refrigerated balls which I understand for boba stores but these haven't even separated 6.5/10. I think this place has came to their senses a little bit and dropped down the prices. I like the viet coffee, the plain viet cofee is like $5.90. And other viet coffees like Pink haze, which is viet coffee with a sweet pink foam. When I gave this place a 1 star review it was they literally just increased their prices and downsized their drinks. At least you get a 16oz drink now for the viet coffees. Mixed feeling on this place because you can tell the managers here give like to run a barebones staff. Also the Egg coffee is not good at all, they should just discontinue this one. 4 stars for the viet coffees. If they raise their prices again, I will update my review again. read more

It was freshly cooked, soft but pleasantly chewy, definitely one of the best parts of the drink. The store is beautifully decorated in a romantic style, with pink roses everywhere. It's a great spot for photos and has a cozy, dreamy vibe. Ordering was super convenient with the self-service kiosk, and the drink came out quickly with almost no wait time. The only downside was the sweetness. I ordered 25% sugar, but it still tasted too sweet for me. I asked the staff if they had actually used 25%, and unfortunately, their response wasn't very friendly. So if you're sensitive to sweetness, I'd recommend requesting even less sugar than you usually do. Overall, a lovely experience -- I'd come back, just with less sugar next time! read more

Stopped by Bober Tea and Coffee in Roseville. It's a self-serve setup, no one greets you, you just order through a kiosk. The only interaction is with the employee who hands you your drink, so don't expect any customer service beyond that. The place is cute at first glance, but the seating is in rough shape. Chairs were worn out, dirty, and had peeling plastic wrap, which really takes away from the ambiance. I ordered my drink with light ice, it tasted good, but I was surprised to see they charged almost $1 extra just for that. Overall, not the worst, but definitely not memorable. read more

We stopped by Bober Tea and Coffee and were really disappointed with our visit. We ordered the Chizu Strawberry Green Tea and Chizu Mango Green Tea. The strawberry one was way too sour and it was just small chunks of strawberries mixed in warm tea, which wasn't enjoyable at all. For the mango tea, we asked if they could blend it, but they said we'd have to pay extra just for that. which feels unreasonable. They also only offer one size (large), and if you want it in a special cup, you have to pay extra . We also tried three mochis, but they were hard, like they'd been sitting out for days. On top of all that, the employees weren't friendly or welcoming. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Definitely won't be coming back. I've had much better boba elsewhere. read more

Boba is delicious, but inconsistent. I've ordered about 20+ times, coming in and also sometimes via uber eats. It used to be my top boba place and was my fav in the area. Now it is "usually" good tasting, but not always a home run. Sometimes the stir fried boba it's warm and sweet and other times is chewy and cold. (Even if you're picking it up). Service is always inconsistent, never seems like there is enough staff to keep up with drinks in busy times. Probably about 3 times I've preordered before driving there and got there after my pick up time and had my drink not started. Staff doesn't seem to know how to handle the pressure. The real reason I'm not recommending it and rating it low is because the establishment has grown really dirty. The seat covers are all torn and there seems to be a layer of grime over the chairs and tables. They need a serious deep clean. That paired with the lack of music means when you're waiting a few minutes for your order is awkwardly quiet. You hear other peoples conversations and don't want to sit anywhere because it is dirty. Also new folks come in a lot and assume they should order at the counter and not the screens - so there seems to be confusion. Just needs a deep clean and maybe some support from leadership. I'll totally update my review when I come in and the place is looking more sanitary. Btw, the kitchen and back counter looks suitably clean, and I keep coming back because I like the product. It's really the seating / waiting area for guests that looks rough. It was so much nicer when it opened and gets worse every time I come in If you want boba on a time crunch, skip this place. If you want a place to hang out - skip this place. If you don't mind a grungy wait surrounded by dusty pink flowers and torn seat covers - you'll be fine and you'll probably like the product even if service and ambience are suffering. Hope to see them improve and would be willing to bump to 4 or 5 stars if they cleaned! I did see they got newer outdoor seating recently so honestly I'm hoping to see some work done inside soon!! I arrived at 9:55 a.m. (according to Google they were scheduled to open at 10:00.) no problem although the open sign was lit to "open" the door was locked. I waited an additional 5 minutes and the door was finally opened. Once inside I had to ask where to order and was directed to an automated kiosk. I ordered 6 pick your own flavor mochi doughnuts, two coffees and a latte. There was no customization allowed on any of the items, no sweetener options for the latte. Okay whatever, we will make do. Asked a girl if she could add sugar to the latte. Nope, no sugar in the shop for that. Zero doughnuts in glass cases, honestly, the place looked abandoned. One employee served up a box of mochi doughnuts from the back without letting me choose my flavors. The other was having trouble making a latte. As she passes by, she says, "it's going to be a while for the coffee," I had to stop her and asked how much longer. She said she didn't know. As all this was going on I observed a girl in back with no gloves handling doughnuts, dipping in topping, then licking her finger. That was the final straw. I kindly asked to cancel my order and asked if a refund was possible. The girl at the counter was kind and made the refund happen only after realizing the ipad for transactions had no charge and had to fix that first. Couple things to note: At payment kiosk, you're forced to leave a tip starting at %15. There was barely any employee interaction, I had to chase them down to ask questions. Why is there no sugar options for a coffee? Why is a coffee, doughnut shop opening at 10:00am? Both employees I encountered appear frazzled, with somewhat questionable hygiene. Place was nicely decorated but the vibe was way off, it felt empty and unclean. This is the 3rd or 4th Bober Tea & Coffee location I have been to and probably the smallest so far. I came in for my second round of surprise cups, which are only in stores for the holidays. The cups cost an extra $3.50 on top of any drink you pick. I believe you can choose hot or cold drinks (but ordering via their kiosk, I didn't see the option to add it on some, which was odd). The service was pretty fast as they were not busy on the Wednesday I stopped in. They also offer mochi donuts in various flavors, which they rotate. Prices can get high, especially if you add multiple toppings and the surprise cup. I was hoping I wouldn't get any pink keychains, but I did get 2... will be giving them to my niece, lol. I kept Grogu and my Cinnamoroll keychains!! It's a casual ambiance good for hanging out with friends or family. It's super PINK inside and out, right down to the tables and decor outside. This is their signature look, so expect it at each location! Parking is no problem here, as it's a big lot in a shopping center. First timer at Bober Tea yesterday ~ The interior is very very pink and Instagrammable. Great spot to snap those photos Yelpers! Service: OK. You order by kiosk/smart screen on the left when you enter the store. Payment and everything is done there and then you wait for your order. The drinks came out quickly. There's minimal interaction with staff unless you have any questions. I ordered the Chizu Milk Tea with boba and it was surprisingly good! I've only tried a few boba spots in Sac since the move and have not been very happy with any particular spot until I tried Bober. The milk tea is creamy and the cream cheese was yum! I liked that the cup was sealed and had a dome/hard cap allowing me to shake my drink up and mix the boba in before popping my straw in there. I was disappointed that you can't order drinks without ice because I wanted to order a few drinks and stock up to drink later. Thankfully, staff was able to refund me for the extra drinks. This place is very pink and very instagramable, but the lack of interaction you get to have with the employees was a little off putting for me. I didn't even receive an acknowledgment/greeting when walking in. You can only order through the self serve kiosk, which I like when establishments have them for when it's super busy. It can be convenient to order that way, but again, barely any interaction with the workers there. Cash customers would not be able to get anything here.. I got the hazelnut milk tea and my first impression was that it was really sweet. I was happy to find this place as I truly feel there are not enough boba options in this area, especially as the hours get later towards night time. Entered the store and whoa, holy pink decor! Had no issues ordering through the kiosk. Coincidentally we were there on a Tuesday and you can add on a mochi donut to your drink for only a $1, what a deal! Thought the stir fried brown sugar boba sounded interesting, it was interesting, don't think I'd get it again. It had a toasty caramel taste to it and I wasn't a fan. The Wintermelon milk tea was good, was on the sweet and rich side but sugar level on it was not adjustable. Supreme grapefruit green tea was just ok. I am not much into the color pink but they have a whole theme here which hits you immediately. Honestly this is the best boba my wife and I have had in Sacramento and we kind of try a lot of places, the boba is soft, the boba is sweet and the drinks are delicious! The Boba itself was delicious. Sweet but not too sweet and the boba pearls were a good consistency in texture. I am not sure the day I went in their AC was not working/on because it's was 100+ degrees outside and inside the store felt like a sauna! It was quite sticky and uncomfortable.
