I stopped by around 10:50 PM and had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. The employee at the register was wearing headphones and counting cash when I walked in. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no effort to assist me. After repeatedly counting the money, he told me I would have to wait because he was about to clock out at 11:00 PM and needed to finish counting his drawer first. What concerned me most was that after handling cash, he immediately asked what I wanted to order. I requested that he wash his hands first. He refused, saying he wasn't going to touch the donuts with his hands because he would use tongs. Regardless, basic hygiene and food-handling practices should be taken seriously, especially when serving customers. At that point, I decided not to order anything and left. The entire experience felt unprofessional, unsanitary, and unwelcoming. It's disappointing to see a business operate this way. Management should seriously review customer service expectations and food safety procedures. read more

We got half a dozen mix of our favorites. The donuts were soft and fresh and yummy and at a good price. The shop is located east access near the I-80 freeway on Douglas Blvd. Look for an older building with a few parking spots on a private lot. Third time coming here and this place being open 24/7 is a legit game changer--especially when most of my usual spots are cleaned out by the time I roll in. Here, everything was still fully stocked, fresh, and looking like it actually wanted to be eaten. I grabbed a maple bar and honestly it was one of the best I've ever had. And I'm a donut snob, so that's saying something. The outer frosting had that thin, delicate crust you hope for, and the inside was still warm--pillowy, soft, basically perfect. Tried a few cake donuts too, and that's where I dock a star. They were a little too... well, cakey... for me. I like my cake donuts with a slight crisp on the outside to balance the soft inside. These didn't quite hit that mark. That said, the frosting game here is strong--sweet, smooth, and generously applied without going overboard. Lots of selection for donuts and always Fully stocked! I would call myself a donut connoisseur and love looking for the best fluffy, bread-y type donut. I got the cinnamon donut with chocolate glaze on top. I feel like it was OK. Just a regular tasting donut, nothing too special. 2nd time going here and I thought the same both times. Donut still tasted fresh and soft inside. However, it does get the cravings out! I would totally recommend if you want a quick donut at any time of the day. Baker Benz Donuts is a weekly trip for me. They have all the regular donuts that you would expect from a donut spot at the right price. They are super kid friendly and make sure they take the time to say hi to the littles. I stopped by this donut shop by chance and decided to grab a quick bite. The woman who served me at first was kind and helpful. Later, a man took over and was rude. When I asked for more cream (I was drinking coffee), he said that I hadn't bought coffee. I showed him my transaction history and told him he could ask his colleague. He was unhappy and literally threw the cream at me. Also, if a transaction is under $5, he refuses to process it. A woman came in wanting to buy a couple of donuts using quarters, and he refused to serve her because he didn't want to count the change. As for the taste, it's an average café - not bad, not great. But the attitude toward customers is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place; they are rude and will ruin your appetite. read more

The nice thing about this place is that for insomniacs like myself they are open 24hrs. I've only ever seen two different dudes working the place, one is real cool and one is a complete customer service nightmare. He looks angry and he does everything with a terrible rude attitude, I'm sure he's the guy you read about in most of the negative reviews. He glares at you in place of simply asking what you want. Honestly his attitude is so bad and his hatred of the people handing over their hard earned money is so clear that I do not trust the food at this point. If he's that angry to your face who knows whats going on when no customer eyes are watching. I live a few minutes from the place but I'll never be back after my last visit, there was literally a piece of garbage in the trays of donuts on the racks by the register, it looked like a balled up napkin or tissue paper. It's a great business model to piss off the people in the neighborhood around your business. The donuts are fine but nothing you can't get anywhere else. Special "Thank You" to Baker Ben' Donuts for supplying me with four to five fresh dozen donut holes for a community Placer County Advisory Commission meeting in October of 2024.Ordered these donuts by phone in a same day order. At the midafternoon meeting, the donut holes were a hit and were eaten immediately. In fact given so close to Halloween the donut holes were more popular than the cookies offered at the meeting. By individuals who ate the donut holes, I was told these fresh donut holes were some of the if not the best in Placer County. Found out about Baker Ben's Donuts this local place by a Kasier Hospital Roseville staffer who grew up in neighboring Granite Bay following a medical appointment. Baker Ben's Donuts has been around over at least a decade or two , however I suspect the establishment would be even busier if the place was located closer to Roseville High School as Marie's in Sacramento is near McClatchy High School would have had difficulty filling a same day order under 20 minutes. Baker Ben's Donuts is located not too far from the Roseville Chamber of Commerce if drive to fast you would never know you missed the spot. Upon arrival the place appeared clean, had the smell of a bakery, the workers were courtesy, and ensured my order was ready to be picked up. I'm done. I'm tired. I walked in the other day and instead of jelly filled donuts they were cut in half and the filling was added. Crueller attachment has been broken for months and the donuts are consistently underdone. The establishment is dirty and outdated. I've been here a handful of times, the donuts are not bad BUT let me tell you about the last three visits I have had, the most recent visit was the last straw Also, to be fair, I did have a couple of good visits before these, but they're not even worth mentioning Visit 1- approximately 11:30 PM guy grabbed the donut with his hands, not wearing gloves, of course :/ Visit 2- 10:30 PM a drunk driver, crashed in front of the donut shop!!! My phone was in the car, so I asked the guy working to call 911.... He refused Visit 3- I was there with a couple friends that had mild intellectual delays (disability) the young African-American girl was very kind and professional BUT the older lady was downright rude to all of us and kept correcting every little thing the younger g girl did. She treated my friends like they were stupid.... Forgot this place I will never go here again and I am telling every person I know the same!!! Came in this morning, and I think depending on how your attitude is, reflects theirs. It took me a bit to be seen, but I laughed it off and told them they were busy, as they were facing other directions besides the front. Once I did have the attention, ordering was quick! A dozen came out to $18.99. I knew my co workers would be happy to have donuts on a Friday morning, and know that they also come from a small family business. We absolutely LOVE Baker Bens. It's our go to donut shop. I've been going here since I was kid. The owners are amazing and the prices reflect their kindness. With everyone raising prices on everything these days, it's nice to support a small business in roseville that isn't breaking the bank. Great Donuts, Great staff, and great prices. FYI They also give discounts on large orders. It's great for early soccer tournament mornings and a nice treat on sleepovers or treating my coworkers. Bens never disappoints!! read more
