Went here for the first time and got 2 custard maple bars and a regular maple bar. Came out to about 8 bucks. The donuts looked soooo good and were fresh because we went in the morning. However it gave my husband and I cramps and got mild food poisoning symptoms. It might have been old oil but not going to risk it again. read more

Based on Yelp reviews I decided to try Honey Donuts. Well sorry to say the donuts or the apple fritters didn't live up to the hype. The donuts were just alright, no biggie. The apple fritters didn't have any apples and the dough was just a bit under cooked. read more

Excellent donuts but the cinnamon rolls are out of this world. Choices are many, some of my favorite ones are the buttermilk and maple glazed. Everything is freshly made in the morning and sometimes before noon, they're all gone. Especially the cinnamon rolls. The restaurant is clean and tables are provided for dine in; they accept card payments; I only see two people who worked the counter and I am assuming they are mother and son. Donut cravings Searched for the closest donut shop from my home and this is one of the donut shops that popped up in Yelp. Made it here but wait! from my car view I see a bunch of little kids inside the shop with their parents... nothing like seeing little ones all sugared up. Thankfully, they were all on their way out and I had the shop to myself. I purchased half a dozen donuts. Some raised glazed, a couple of chocolate and, my favorite, cinnamon roll. Service was pleasant and friendly from the employee. The donuts were delicious and made fresh, pillow soft... so yummy but I surrendered at two! Two was good enough for me. The rest were gobbled up by my family. LoL! Pricing depends on the donuts you choose. My six came out to $10.25. The shop is located at a strip mall at the Elverta Crossing Shopping Center on Watt Avenue in Antelope. Lots of parking. Donuts are a classic pastry that has continued to inspire me over time. It's a shame when a business owner tries to sale day old stuff at full price straight up lying to you. The display indicated a certain price for Cinammon rolls yet she said they cost more and was giving me a discount which so happened to be the price reflected on the display for pricing. We like this better than Maries or Donut time. Hands down the best donuts in Sacramento county. The old fashioned is my favorite and when I want to pig out I get the huge Apple fritter. The pink raised donuts have maraschino cherry flavor that is a hit with the fam. Great owners and so happy that they have stayed in the area. read more

I stopped by Honey Donuts on my way to work one morning because it's conveniently located in a shopping center on Watt Ave in Antelope that's not busy AT ALL and easy to get in and out of. They also have another location on Watt Ave in the Arden Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento. I'm going to be very generous with my four star review because it technically should have been three. The parking lot is huge and easy to get in and out of. The shop wasn't busy at all when I went in, so the wait was short and the selection of donuts was plentiful. Yay! Service was OK. They only had the basic donuts. Nothing special or unique. I asked for a Chocolate Bar and Half a Dozen Donut Holes. I got a Maple Bar and Five Donut Holes. WTF? The donuts were fresh and tasted good which is why the four stars even though my order was messed up. Good thing I still liked what I got! The inside of the shop is a mess. There are excess pink boxes all over the place as well as other misc. storage items. There is like one table. Because it's conveniently located on my way to work I will stop by again and adjust my review accordingly. read more

I must have stumbled upon this place one day in a pregnancy induced hunger stupor craving the most unhealthy food on Earth second to whatever is first. I love coming here for donuts, it's super close to home. My only thing is it doesn't feel clean to me. I've seen ants on the counter before, so who knows where else they are. Meh- they charge you 40 cents when using debit. This morning the lady kept sliding my card when I told her to insert it or it wouldn't go through. She basically fought me on it until she was proven wrong by her machine. Told her I wanted an assorted dozen and to throw in some sprinkle donuts as it's for work and she didn't. Smaller case with not a lot of options but they have all the basics. I usually get chocolate glazed and my son gets cake with sprinkles. Always moist and fresh. Coffee is decent, case with all sorts of drinks. A few small tables inside but we always get ours to go. Great little mom and pop shop to feed your donut cravings. read more

My favorite are their glazed donuts, which are soft & pillowy. Apple fritters are good there, too. Don't care for the artificial whipped creme they use in their filled chocolate log, however. Also, I'm a traditionalist and don't like filled donuts that are sliced in half rather filled in the middle. Why do some donut shops do that? This is such a good little doughnut shop! My coworkers and I were craving some doughnuts, and one of them said that this was her favorite place. I walked in to a older looking shop than the outside would indicate, but this place is kind of a hole in the wall so it was whatever. What mattered is that it was kept VERY CLEAN. We got 2 custard filled chocolate covered doughnuts, 1 old fashioned plain, 1 custard filled maple bar, 1 sprinkles with pink frosting, one crumb doughnut, and a coffee. for all that it was only 10 bucks! The lady who owns the shop is very friendly and gave recommendations on which ones she thought turned out a little better that day. These are literally the best doughnuts I have ever had in my life. Decided to take a different walking route today. I walked near CenterHigh School but got hungry and went to a Honey Donuts for breakfast. I had coffee and (2) maple glazed donuts. Both were fresh and very good! The young lady that took my order & waited on me was very pleasant , courteous. Also, while I was there, I found my lost car keys! Apparently a kind stranger found them & dropped it off @ the donut shop...what are the odds! There are still kind hearted people in the world & I thank God for them! Great little donut shop. Me and my aunt have been going here since we were kids. Same owners and they've been doing a great job keeping the business up. Kmart used to be where that tool store is now.
