Love supporting local businesses and this is the place to go! The owner is so nice and their doughnuts are FRESH! Usually I don't like old-fashioned doughnuts because they are dry, but that is NOT the case here. Super moist and every doughnut I got was delicious. read more

Honey Donuts is our family favorite donut shop! The owner and wife are always so nice and the donuts are amazingggg! We've been coming here for the last 5 years. At one point my daughter asked for donuts for her birthday & this is where we ordered them for her classroom. My favorite is the maple bar & chocolate bar. My husband likes their croissants. You can't go wrong here. The donuts are fresh & most of the time they are literally still hot from just being made. You really should stop by & check it out. read more

Back again--because apparently I can't stay away--and now we've discovered the blueberry donuts. Game changer. But be aware that they only make them on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday), so plan accordingly. They're soft, slightly crisp on the outside, and packed with blueberry goodness. My wife's the one who found them, and now she's hooked. read more

First time visiting Honey Donuts today, and I'm so glad I stopped by! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming--it had that warm, personal touch you only get at small, family-owned spots. The donuts were fresh, delicious, and not overpriced, which is a rare combo these days. I absolutely love discovering mom-and-pop shops like this one. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in both the service and the quality. I'll definitely be coming back and look forward to supporting this local gem again soon! read more

Apple fritter review #11 Glaze: Enough, a little crunchy, five stars Outside: moderately crunchy, four stars Inside: fluffy and soft, five stars Filling: good amount without being wet, five stars One of my favorite fritters in the area. They actually used to be the crunchiest fritters I'd ever had (maybe I'm weird but that was a plus for me) but they stopped making them that way, probably so more normal people can enjoy them, lol. Five stars. read more

Honey Donuts in Citrus Heights has very delicious donuts every day, early in the morning. Many people stop at their donut shop to pick up a few or a box of donuts on the way to work. The owners of Honey Donuts are super nice. The shop is clean, and the donuts are displayed beautifully. It makes me want to bring all of them home. Lol! Finding a parking space in front of the store is easy. They have a vast parking lot shared with many businesses. However, they are not open as early as Honey Donuts. read more

I've been to honey donuts, several times over the past few years. I don't purchase donuts often as they are a true treat for me. Recently, I purchased a dozen for my daughter's daycare during teacher appreciation week. The owner is always incredibly kind, but when she heard that it was for a school, she upgraded it from regular donuts to fancy donuts and threw in several donuts holes as well. I'm so glad this place is down the street. It will continue to be my go-to donut shop when I need donuts! read more

This place is right by our house and fast is good and they always give u a donut hole with your order. Nice and clean and the donuts are yummy and fresh. Thank u read more

The best donuts in the area & Kim is so kind and welcoming. Couldn't recommend more! The old fashion donuts & buttermilk donuts are the best

Looking for a quick pick me up? This is the place! A small in and out donut shop that also sells savory items like ham, egg and cheese croissant. Service was fast and friendly. Overall clean and older classic looking mom and pop shop. Ordered a few regular chocolate donuts and a bacon maple bar. The chocolate layer was light and thin but sweet. The bacon maple bar had bacon on it that tasted candied, and donut was also very sweet. Dough was light and airy, very fresh. Overall, good donuts, definitely for those who loves a very sweet treat. Conveniently located inside a plaza with plenty of parking in front. On the main Laguna street, easy in and easy out. Great place to grab and go, especially if dropping off a package next door at the UPS store. read more

BEST HAM & CHEESE CROISSANT EVER! (I'm drooling as I write this review) Every time I come in, I have been greeted by the owner, Kim. She friendly, always smiling.. and her selection is AMAZING! Let's start with my ultimate favorite selection. The Ham & Cheese Croissant. It is not your typical croissant cut in half and thrown together... She uses premium ham and premium cheese AND bakes those big fluffy croissants with that premium meat and cheese INSIDE!! Order a couple and have one right there! She also offers jalapeno & cheese croissant that are just as delicious.. my favorite is the Ham & Cheese, though! Omg, I'm drooling!! IT'S THE BEST AROUND!! When I stop in I love grabbing a dozen doughnuts before I go to see my family (my family comes here regularly) or on my way to work. Kim's donuts are fluffy and moist in all the right spots with the perfect sweetness to the frosting. The selection is the best the earlier you get there, the better(she gets there super early to work hard for our cravings! Fresh everyday!) Superior customer service and phenomenal decadent doughnuts! Kim has the perfect recipe to please our sweet tooths! read more

This was a great donut shop. We ended up getting three donuts for kids and none for us (dieting...). The team was great, and even snuck in a couple donuts holes for us that didn't see until we got to the car so I could t thank them! They had a good selection of donuts, cinnamon roles, and other options. Their staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Fun donut shop to visit! read more

The sweetness of the owners who greet everyone with kindness in my visits, are sweet like Honey and the business name fits them. Parking is easy with plenty of spots from front to side. With some spacious store area, they have a few bench seats to eat thier or take them home or to work to enjoy, or on the road. The selections and types of donuts are the iconic kind. Nothing fancy, high end toppings or crazy stuff. Just the type you grew up loving. From your regular type of donut, to the old fashioned and cake like donuts. And the kids favorite and kids at heart they got donut holes. They do accept debit/credit unlike many donut shops that dont, but they do charge a fee. If you like the bar shape donuts and you like the crean filling, they will slice it open and fill it up for you. If you have a favorite or wanna make up something just ask if its possible they will do it. A few donuts to name, french crueller and they have them topped with a few dips, chocolate, and a maple. Toasted coconut, soft and doughy in a good way. They aslo have some bear claws, cinnamon rolls and fritters. Gracious owners, good donuts, plenty of parking. If your in the area and wanna donut stop and DoNut go any further. read more

I consider myself to be a donut connoisseur of types. Typically I don't expect much from the random run of the mill donut shop but today I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. We had a variety of donuts from crumb to chocolate and glazed. All were absolutely fantastic and perfectly prepared. Slightly doughy and chewy but still light and fluffy. Can't recommend this store enough! read more

Came here on my way to get a treat and the first thing I noticed was the woman at the counter wasn't wearing a mask. I'll be honest, I was hesitant. There was a plastic barrier that hung between me and her at the counter. She was also very not talkative and didn't come off friendly. This was all business for her (maybe an inconvenience, I don't know for sure): As for the donuts itself they were good. A good, dependable donut. Would I come back? After the pandemic ends or face masks are worn by the employees. read more

Best croissant I've ever had! The lady that works there is so nice and always throws in free donut holes

This place is lovely, it's what inside counts and this place has it. Witnessed a mother buting donuts with her family and thinking the cashier stating "I owe you $6 from yesterday" right away I thought that's funny what place actually allows you to walk off without paying. Then she continued thanking her for giving them yo her son and trusting she will pay because her son couldn't. I thought it was extremely sweer. You don't see business caring as much anymore but maybe because majority are franchise. This place goes beyond great customer service, they treat people here like family if you been here long enough. Donuts are donuts, however I did notice they have regular and they also have smaller and chunkier donuts too, my students lobed them. read more

Honey Donuts - Greatest donuts ever and the employe gave us some extra donut bites 10/10 - Donuts Near Me - Citrus Heights, California

I tried this place on a whim, it's up the street from our house and we were craving donuts so I went for it... I'll go elsewhere next time.... I went in and said "I just want a random dozen donuts for a group, I don't care what you pick, just a dozen" and she looked at me like she didn't understand, so I clarified "a dozen, just throw whatever you want in the box, they don't care ..." I've done it a hundred times before at a hundred different donut shops but this lady couldn't comprehend putting random donuts in the box... Now I'd assume there was a language barrier because they were speaking Mandarin to each other (which I understand a little of btw... Watch your mouth around customers) , but she spoke perfect English to me and other customers so I knew that wasn't the case. I don't know what the problem was there but they made me feel like a complete bother for a simple request... So I go to pay and I'm already thinking "never coming in here again!" And I sit my card down on the counter, they had a visa symbol on their windows like almost every other store on the world, so I ASSUMED that was okay... She looks me square in the eyes with a straight face and ask "you don't have cash, we prefer cash?" I tell her no and she SNATCHES the card off the counter and mumbles again "we prefer cash"... I was ready to walk out at that point, but she turned around, slapped the pen and receipt down on the counter then watched me intently as I signed like she didn't trust me, then snatched the receipt off the counter and muttered a thank you... I won't be back... ever. I was kind, courteous, didn't hold up the line, and tried to make it quicker by just saying "give me a random dozen" but apparently simple task are an extreme challenge for these women... I don't get it. Donuts shouldn't be this complicated, and customer service shouldn't be this difficult. Every store on earth takes Visa, I don't understand why it was such a big deal other than them not wanting taxable income. Really weird experience. read more

OMG! Im from South Sacramento, and Bakers and Maries will always have my heart, And these are right up there with them. Kim is so awesome! She always remembers me and greets me when I arrive, always goes above and beyond, (throwing in freebies, hell she even frosted donuts on the spot one time when I came in with my kids after lunch when stock was low and my spoiled ass kids wanted Strawberry frosting LMAO) She is absolutely amazing and the donuts are always great. The ham and cheese croissants are my FAV!!! Love this place , will always be my go to! read more

They suck because horrible service very rude gave me a half of a donut and they smashed completely

I couldn't sleep so I stopped in to see if they had donut holes at 4am. They weren't done yet so I planned on coming back at 6am. I accidentally fell asleep and woke up at 9:30 panicking because I realllllly wanted those holes and I was afraid I had slept through them. I got there and the beautiful, amazing workers had set two dozen aside for me and it literally made my day. Thank you so much it really is the little things that make a difference! read more

Friendly staff. Clean shop. Really good donuts (tried lemon filled, raspberry filled, chocolate bar, cinnamon roll, sugar donut)

We've been going here for years! Husband and wife team that are always very pleasant to talk with and the donuts are yummy!

Good place to go for donuts, only place I know of in the immediate area which is nice. They are hidden in the back of the Raleys shopping center behind the 7-11 and pizza place and before the post office. I didn't even see a sign but I guess it's there! I went on a Tuesday morning around 7:30am and there was no line and plenty of selection. I ended up getting a Chocolate Old Fashioned, Maple Old Fashioned and Chocolate with Chocolate and Sprinkles Cake Donut. It came to $3.00 and she threw in a few donut holes for free. Nice. My favorite donuts are old fashioned, but these were a little too buttery for my taste. (shocking I know!) I think I actually liked the cake donut better, it had great flavor and not too sweet. Good place to get donuts in the area, would come here again the next time I want donuts quickly, but I don't crave them. read more

Tried Honey Donuts on Antelope and was pleasantly surprised. I judge the donut shops I visit by their apple fritters and their original glaze donuts. The apple fritters at Honey Donut was hard and crunchy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside. There are nice little chunks of apple and not too strong on the cinnamon, but just right. That's just the way I believe they are supposed to be. The original glaze was firm enough to hold it, but if you hold it too tight, the donut will fold. The inside is fluffy and not not dried out. I also stumbled upon a cinnamon crunch donut and it's basically a glazed donut with cinnamon crunch topping all over it. It's pretty awesome and was a nice surprise. I met Kim, who I think is either the wife of the owner or the owner herself. I didn't ask because during our conversation more customers came in. She was very friendly and even threw in a free donut. Overall a good find for a donut shop and I recommend this donut shop if you're looking for good donuts. They aren't open all day, so get there early or you run the risk of them running out of specific donuts. read more
