I got the ham and cheese croissant so did my daughter and my son-in-law and Grandson got the hot link croissants. Everything was so tasty the croissants just melted in your mouth so much flavor. I'm kind of full right now, but looking forward to trying the apple fritters or my chocolate buttermilk doughnut, or anything the donut holes were hot and melted in your mouth. I definitely highly recommend this place very good. They gave us even a few extra donut holes to enjoy very friendly staff very personable, and each one made an effort to speak to us. And make us feel welcome. Walking in was dangerous--the smell of fresh-baked donuts and pastries was heavenly! I'm visiting family, and everyone was craving donuts, so we gave this place a try. We pulled off the freeway for my toddler to go to the bathroom and ended up at the Starbucks located right next door to this joint. So while sitting in the car waiting for my wife and toddler to use the bathroom, I googled this place, not thinking much of it. Then, I find out that Rocklin Donuts and Cinnamon have made it onto some of the best donut lists in the whole country! So, of course, here I am jumping out of the car and strolling over to see what's left on a Sunday (Mother's Day) afternoon. Unfortunately for me, they were out of there incredible looking cinnamon rolls and apple fritters. The photos from other Yelpers made me jealous. Instead, I got some donut holes and a chocolate croissant. The nice lady had a thick accent, but we got things figured out, and she even threw in some extra donut holes for me. The donut holes were incredible. Absolutely melt in your mouth. Perfection. The chocolate croissant was not flaky or crispy, but had that classic donut shop chewy texture, and of course, was loaded with chocolate. My son had a sudden hankering for donuts while at the beach. Made a quick stop on the way home. I couldn't believe I hadn't tried this spot before! A friend raved about their donut holes and cinnamon rolls and so I knew I had to try it. The donut holes are perfectly fluffy, sweet, and melt in your mouth. I ordered a cinnamon roll and my husband ordered the apple cinnamon roll. Both were deliciously cinnamony! The cream cheese icing is liquidy and therefore when drizzled on top makes its way through the layers of the roll. This is genius as I do personally dislike when at the end of my cinnamon roll I'm left without icing - this addresses that! My white mocha was delicious ! I'm not sure how they do it, but the donuts hit that perfect balance of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Not overly fried, not dry, just really well made. Everything tasted fresh and you could tell care goes into what they're doing. I may have gone overkill and gotten way too many donuts for one sitting, but hey at least I know now they're consistent across a variety of donuts. This is a family owned business and it shows. Customer service was kind and welcoming, and the donuts were easily some of the best I've had in years. What I tried was the glazed croissant, raspberry twist, apple fritter, and cinnamon croissant. I chose a croissant-wrapped hot dog and chocolate croissant, and both were super delicious. I'm so glad that I finally got to try this donut spot. I know of one other spot that upon ordering and given to you that the donuts are still warm. These donuts were very soft and had amazing flavor. I also got a cinnamon roll to try as a cinnamon roll was just as soft and warm. They had a great variety of flavor donuts but you can never go wrong with just a plain glazed donut. Really good donuts, and with the amount of traffic they receive, I watched a fairly consistent pattern of donuts being brought from the kitchen area to the front to replenish the stock that had been depleted by their customers. When it comes to going to a donut place for the first time, I'm a bit basic and stick with some classic options to gage if I'd come back. The donuts I received here definitely passed the test. Donuts can be not fun to eat if they're stale, hard. These weren't. They were great in texture and freshness. Additionally, the ones I received weren't just fried pieces of dough with no flavor. They tasted good as well. They had seating indoors to eat your sweet treats, as well. They do have a little parking lot, and there are some other businesses around, so if you're worried about parking, there should be a spot, even if you have to walk a bit. Maybe worker made a mistake (doubtful as they look like the owner), or they changed it recently because old menu pictures show it as part of the regular donut category. French crullers also are part of the more exquisite donuts and cost more. I mention this because a lot of donut shops include the french cruller as part of their regular selections--and obviously something so simple as sprinkles. The lady helping makes it known she threw in some donut holes in there, making us feel like we are special, but from the reviews--it looks like they always throw in a few donut holes. Service was fast. The dozen no frills donuts we selected came out to about $19.xx ($20). Looks like it has went up since 2022-23 from the pics of old menu here on Yelp. Were they good donuts, yea. I have no complaints about the donuts themselves. They were light fluffy sweet, etc. However you would imagine a good donut is. But were they great god like levels that many make them out to be? Nah. There was nothing IMO that made them better or special than the next local donut shop other than the YELP listing. I had to come here after talking with my Yelp friend Sarah T. She told me all about this place and how they have the best donuts around. I informed her that I would be staying in this area and would like some recommendations. I went early between 6 AM and 630. This is a great time to go as they have an awesome selection.
