Donut was good! Didn't have too much frosting on the old fashion; which I like. They had a variety of choices. Their cinnamon rolls looked really good; would try that next time. Customer service was great. Very friendly and inviting. Only downfall were their drinks. I was disappointed in their chai tea latte - it tasted straight like milk (as you can tell in the photo). Heard so many good things about the donut so O had to try it. I came around 1pm and was served immediately. The display was still well-stocked but they didn't have cruller (my favorite donut). Haven't been here in awhile but I often think about coming here as this is still my absolute favorite donut place. I don't really eat donuts much, but this is still by far the best donut place I've ever had and their Service Is Always outstanding! Very kind. Every time I come. No matter how little I buy. They always throw in an extra something. I only stopped in for a Maple bar and a glaze doughnut but staff threw in an extra 4 donut holes. I ate it in the car. In Less than a few minutes, I went back in & bought more & of course. Bought a dozen donut holes. They're so soft !! Definitely stop to try something if you're in this area. I'm kind of glad They're not too close to where I live, because I probably would go there every day. i'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. I had to see for myself why Rocklin Donuts & Cinnamon was ranked the number one donut shop in the nation. Came out late morning and they were still pumping out fresh donuts, which already says a lot. I'm not sure how they do it, but the donuts hit that perfect balance of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Not overly fried, not dry, just really well made. Everything tasted fresh and you could tell care goes into what they're doing. I may have gone overkill and gotten way too many donuts for one sitting, but hey at least I know now they're consistent across a variety of donuts. This is a family owned business and it shows. Customer service was kind and welcoming, and the donuts were easily some of the best I've had in years. What I tried was the glazed croissant, raspberry twist, apple fritter, and cinnamon croissant. I couldn't believe I hadn't tried this spot before! A friend raved about their donut holes and cinnamon rolls and so I knew I had to try it. The donut holes are perfectly fluffy, sweet, and melt in your mouth. I ordered a cinnamon roll and my husband ordered the apple cinnamon roll. Both were deliciously cinnamony! The cream cheese icing is liquidy and therefore when drizzled on top makes its way through the layers of the roll. This is genius as I do personally dislike when at the end of my cinnamon roll I'm left without icing - this addresses that! My white mocha was delicious ! Oh em gee?!! Upon entering, I was like a like a child in a candy store. So many tempting choices and I knew what I wanted but my eyes kept on looking and staring at all the yummy stuff. In the end, I ended up with a plain glaze which is what I love anyways. After picking up chocolate bars and donut holes for My family and paying, I saw the cinnamon rolls which I also love but I resisted and left!!! Didn't know what the big deal until a recent visit. Arrived to a line that quickly winded down. Behind the counter they work quickly and efficiently. After two visits, the same level of customer service was received. Consistent and absolutely friendly. They truly value their customers and it's obvious. Personal favorites are the donut holes and cruller. These somehow magically dissolves in the mouth. Never tasted a donut anything like it. Appears to be a family owned business and a local favorite. Best donuts I've ever had! Brought wifey and all 4 kiddos, and staff was so kind, patient, and helpful. The chocolate is 10/10 as a chocolate lover. Apple fritter was reeeaaaaaalllly good. And the stuffed (with jelly) donut was SO good. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and asked for it to be warmed up, just at that moment croissants came out fresh from the oven. Apparently this spot is the country's best donut shop in the whole USA! I must admit they deserve the title. They have the freshest, yummiest donuts. I shared a pecan cinnamon roll with two of my friends. It was a huge, sweet, glazed delight! Even the pecans were candied. Each order comes with a few free donut holes as an extra bonus. Dropped by Rocklin Cinnamon & Donuts a couple of weekends ago. The place was super busy, but the service was quick and friendly. We ordered a couple of cronuts, a blueberry old fashioned, and 3 chocolate bars. While paying, the lady at the counter surprised us with an extra blueberry old fashioned on the house, totally unexpected and incredibly appreciated. That small gesture truly made my morning. It's OK. I probably would've gave the place a 4 if it wasn't for all the hype. I'm sure before the YELP story ranking this the best, it was just like many donut places around ran by a nice family. I don't know if people around the SAC metro just are easily impressed when it comes to donuts, but the way they (see the reviews) make it sound like this is god level type donuts. As mentioned by everybody else the staff is friendly--though I've never really ran across a local donut shop where the staff wasn't. I got a dozen donuts. Maple, crumb, sugar, glaze, chocolate. Note we originally wanted a sprinkle donut, which is just like the usual raised donuts but sprinkles, but this place deemed it to be extra charge? Maybe worker made a mistake (doubtful as they look like the owner), or they changed it recently because old menu pictures show it as part of the regular donut category. French crullers also are part of the more exquisite donuts and cost more. I mention this because a lot of donut shops include the french cruller as part of their regular selections--and obviously something so simple as sprinkles. The lady helping makes it known she threw in some donut holes in there, making us feel like we are special, but from the reviews--it looks like they always throw in a few donut holes. Service was fast. The dozen no frills donuts we selected came out to about $19.xx ($20). Looks like it has went up since 2022-23 from the pics of old menu here on Yelp. Were they good donuts, yea. I have no complaints about the donuts themselves. They were light fluffy sweet, etc. However you would imagine a good donut is. But were they great god like levels that many make them out to be? Nah. There was nothing IMO that made them better or special than the next local donut shop other than the YELP listing. I mean if everyone here is only eating crappy Krispy Kreme, Winco, Safeway, Raleys, and Dunkin Donuts then I could see why they all of a sudden love this place. I'm so glad that I finally got to try this donut spot. I know of one other spot that upon ordering and given to you that the donuts are still warm. These donuts were very soft and had amazing flavor. I also got a cinnamon roll to try as a cinnamon roll was just as soft and warm. They had a great variety of flavor donuts but you can never go wrong with just a plain glazed donut. Really good donuts, and with the amount of traffic they receive, I watched a fairly consistent pattern of donuts being brought from the kitchen area to the front to replenish the stock that had been depleted by their customers. When it comes to going to a donut place for the first time, I'm a bit basic and stick with some classic options to gage if I'd come back. The donuts I received here definitely passed the test. Donuts can be not fun to eat if they're stale, hard. These weren't. They were great in texture and freshness. Additionally, the ones I received weren't just fried pieces of dough with no flavor. They tasted good as well. They had seating indoors to eat your sweet treats, as well. They do have a little parking lot, and there are some other businesses around, so if you're worried about parking, there should be a spot, even if you have to walk a bit. I had to come here after talking with my Yelp friend Sarah T. She told me all about this place and how they have the best donuts around. I informed her that I would be staying in this area and would like some recommendations. I went early between 6 AM and 630. This is a great time to go as they have an awesome selection. I love that there's more than just donuts here too. Please take a look at my picture for reference. My go to is a sprinkled donut which I ordered along with a glazed donut and a turkey and jalapeño croissant to go. I asked if they had donut holes and they informed me that they do not serve those. The lady who helped me was really nice and apologized for not having the donut holes I asked for. Checking out was a breeze. I was able to tap my card. We have so many of these donut places where I live in the Santa Clara, Bay Area, region so I grew up eating donuts from the Cambodian/Asian establishments. There's an abundance of them in which they all sell the exact same thing. I guess because there's no donut shops like these in Rocklin/Roseville area, this place is such a huge hit in the area. I'm just not used to seeing this type of hype for what we call, a "Regular" donut shop. That's great though! I will say, what they ultimately got right here is their dough. Biting into their donuts is like having the same texture as Krispy Kreme. It's airy and fluffy. I recommend their apple fritter and maple donut bar. These are delicious!
