I'm not a milkshake person but I love the taste of these milkshakes! You can taste the difference in the quality of ingredients. I love this place and I don't understand the negative reviews surrounding their prices. I don't mind paying $5-6 for a quality homemade cookie. This place is awesome and the staff is kind too.

Six pack of cookies

The Yummy Cookie is a hidden gem of a bake shop and my favorite in the Greater Sacramento area! My partner recommended it, and I couldn't be happier that we stopped by for a six pack of cookies. When we walked in, I was immediately impressed by the smells wafting from this shop. We came on a weeknight evening and were warmly greeted. Customer service was very friendly and accommodating. The woman behind the counter went above and beyond to locate a double chocolate cheesecake cookie for us! The cookies came out fresh, warm, and soft. You can tell that they're made with love, and our favorites were the cheesecake cookie, brookie, and fruit topper.

Came here for three cookies but the friendly staffer convinced me to get the 6-for-5 deal and I don't regret it. All cookies were soft, flavorful and more importantly not overwhelmingly sugar sweet (I'm gagging at you crumblah!) Pecan Caramel Topper was hands down the unanimous hit in our household. Not to imply the other ones aren't as amazing but the PCT was phenomenal. I also fell in lust with the chocolate cheesecake. Ingredients are sourced local to Northern California with special attention to pasture raised eggs and dairy. Support small family owned cookie shops and forget about the chains!

The cookies here were amazing! They're carefully and thoughtfully packaged. Each cookie is bursting with flavor, buttery, gooey, soft, and melts in your mouth. We tried chocolate chip, double chocolate, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, and several more.

We had never seen this place before, so my daughter and I stopped by. The selection is vast, and they even have vegan options. Caitlin (not sure on spelling, sorry!) helped us and let us know the specials. We couldn't decide, so we opted for a cup of mini cookies. It was at this point I noticed they do milkshakes... but you can have them blend ANY of their cookies into it. Insert drooling sounds here. I went with a vanilla shake with a cookie that was half chocolate and half chocolate chip blended in. My daughter went with vanilla with a chocolate chip cookie blended in. The cookies are huge too. Both shakes were fantastic. If you've got a sweet tooth and love cookies, brownies, or shakes, definitely check them out.

My customers tried the cookies and really enjoyed them. I thought the chocolate chip was good. I will try more flavors.

Really great selection of cookies. The cookies had great flavor and baked perfectly. A little pricey but quality is worth it.

My go to use to be Whole Foods Chocolate Explosion Cake, moist, not too sweet, & always tasted the same. Then WF was bought by Amazon and the quality went down hill. I checked out Nugget and various other bakeries from the east coast to the west coast and nothing satisfied. Some were too sweet. Others were too dry. I was getting ready to just live with a cake craving that would never be satisfied, until Tous Les Jours. I had the Mocha Cloud Cake. DAMN! Upon first bite I was instantly impressed and satisfied. She then tells me, we'll itll be a little tight with all the pastries but ill try. (WTF kind of response was that?) She then totals my transaction and finalized it. Then she asks if I just brought the sweet potato loaf just now. And im over here standing in front of her the entire time. So I had to pay again. Cool. So you've given a paying customer attitude and you look like ive inconvenienced you coz you now have to make 2 drinks. I will take my $45 elsewhere. Right when you walk in, the sweet aroma of fresh baked sweets welcomed you in. There was a good crowd inside which we thought were waiting to order but found out they were waiting for the fresh baked sweet bread. A must if you ever try any. Just looking through the case of all the amazing creation. Basically fancy donuts. One after the other. They also had a few savory items included. Didn't get any but they looked amazing. We ended up going with the bad bundles. Half dozen donuts and 20 piece staxx. Found out that's what people were waiting for when we walked in. Everyone was waiting for them to come fresh out of the oven hence the long wait. It did take a while for us but we were offered a cookie to try while waiting. It was delicious, I do recommend the ube cookies. After what did take a long while, we tried our fresh HOT box of staxx. Let me say, wow they were amazing and of course hot. Straight from the oven. Nice moist bread with a nice sweet glaze. I can see what the hype was about with them. Everyone in line for them. We didn't get a chance to try the donuts right away. By the time we had them, it had been sitting for a while. Still good but better if they were fresh from the start. It was good regardless and this place was great. The staxx, would definitely get again.

Drinking 3/4 of a regular-sized cup carried me through the whole day! Taste-wise, pretty good as well and actually reminded me of pumpkin pie lol. Quite noticeable pumpkin flavor, and the brew itself gave a smooth and toasty flair (like the crust part of a pumpkin pie :p). Another seasonal drink that I tried was the pumpkin cold foam chai, and it pretty much was like a melted milkshake with a little bit of chai flavor lol. Didn't notice much pumpkin at all. Too milky for my liking, but if you're a fan of Starbucks Frappucinos, then this might be the seasonal drink for you. As for the desserts here, I enjoyed the eclair (nicely assembled and had smooth and rich dark chocolate on it) but was disappointed on the fruit tart (the fruit toppings were vibrant and plump, but the custard was missing a strong vanilla taste and I wasn't a fan of the egg-white-based crust that ended up sticking to the foil cardboard base). Friendly staff. Super cozy cafe vibes especially with the pothos houseplants (so cute that water propagations of cuttings are table decor). Ample lot parking.

I ordered a custom birthday cake and paid $117 upfront through Zelle…read more After I sent the payment, the owner informed me she no longer had access to that Zelle account. She said she would contact her bank and still confirmed my order. Just two days before my daughter's birthday party, the owner told me her family had norovirus and offered to either make the cake or cancel with a full refund. I appreciated her honesty and chose to cancel since the cake would be served to many children. Having to find a replacement cake only two days before the party caused me a great deal of stress, a parent planning a large birthday celebration, this added unnecessary pressure during an already busy time. Despite that, I remained understanding because I knew her family's illness was beyond her control. The owner asked for other ways to refund me, I sent her my Venmo information and she promised my refund would be sent "in the next couple of days." More than a week later, I still have not received my $117 refund despite multiple polite follow-up messages. I also contacted my bank, but they explained they couldn't dispute the payment because it was successfully sent to her Zelle account. Since the recipient banks with a different financial institution, they couldn't investigate what happened after the funds were received. What frustrated me the most throughout this experience was the lack of communication. I never knew if or when I would receive a response. Sometimes I had to follow up just to get an update, and now my messages have gone unanswered altogether. A simple update would have gone a long way. I understand emergencies happen, and I genuinely appreciated the owner's honesty about her family's illness. However, promising a refund, acknowledging the payment issue was their responsibility and then failing to communicate or issue the refund has been very disappointing. As of today, more than a week after she promised to send my refund, I am still waiting to receive it and have not received any communication from her. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this bakery at all.
