I got a Korean Iced Milk Tea and the very berry pastry, both were really good! I got a bunch of to-go packaged items for my aunt and she said they were delicious (macarons, Madeline's (shaped like a bear...so cute, and butter cookies) I had issues figuring out how to get the pastry and where to put it. One part of the bakery you point and they grab it, the other half the window opens in the front and there are pieces of wax paper in a built in "shelf" on the counter that I didn't see ‍ so I was thinking ...am I supposed to put this directly in my tray? I came here with my girlfriends on a Saturday morning to try some of their cutie delicious pastries. Because there were four of us were able to try four different items and order specialty coffees. Each item we tried was delicious and light. It's everything that you hoped to have in a pastry. The selection had a wide variety of options some things with protein, some things with dairy some things with no dairy. There was definitely something offered for every person. I highly recommend this location because the parking is easy and there is plenty of seating inside. It was a really busy day and because of that, though I was disappointed that the trash was over full the entire time we were there. My favorites have been the Blueberry Yogurt cake slice and the Pineapple Brûlée pastry The prices are elevated for what you get. The selection is huge with plenty of options to choose from. It's self-service style so you grab a tray and walk through the display cases. They also offer an app for pre-ordering, which is convenient and allows you to accumulate points for free items. I had a little off time on a Saturday morning, and one of my most fave things to do is visit a super tasty pastry shop and sit around outside and have coffee and some outrageously tasty pastry. I came over to Paris Baguette cause it super easy to get to in the Roseville area. Just head south on Pleasant Grove Blvd off the 65 freeway and go just past Roseville Parkway and then turn right into the next driveway. This is the Safeway shopping center, and Paris Baguette is on the right. Lots of parking and outdoor seating. This is supposed to be a fusion of Korean I think, and French baking pastries, but it just seemed more French to me, at least as far as I could tell. You just go in and all the delicacies are on display in clear cases. You use tongs and help yourself to whatever you like. Then just bring it up to the cashier and pay. Cash or cards taken just fine. It's hard to make up my mind, I'd love to try as many things as I can, but I can only fill my tummy so much! What caught my eye and looked so scrumptious was this strawberry and cream filled croissant. Then there were the chocolate croissants and this think I think was called an avalanche, it was a rectangle shaped flaky pastry with slits on top and filled with chocolate. Coffee of course, just black is fine. Prices weren't outrageous or anything at least not for the quality you get here. This sure isn't the Safeway bakery across the parking lot, that's for sure. I sat outside and took single bites out of each treat and closed my eyes and felt this cloud of happiness descend down on me as I tasted the delicate flavors and textures of these wonderful pastries sitting outside sipping my coffee. We come here from time to time to pick up some pastries we like. We find the customer service is usually adequate & have an experience that's fine, but the latest visit was quite disappointing. Came on a weekday afternoon & no clean tongs were available. Usually when it's self-serve, you expect to be able to efficiently get your items instead of wasting time just standing around. Had to track down employees who said they were being washed, but not quite apologetic about the situation. At one point an employee offered to help only one customer by using her gloved hand to fill her box, but then she took off & left the rest of us still waiting & unacknowledged. People lost patience & used the wax paper sheets to grab items. The garbage at the counter by the water station was overflowing. The water container was emptied. We were hard pressed to find a clean, non-crummy table. Our pastries were pleasant, but our experience was not. We ultimately ate one thing there & took the rest home. My 1st and 2nd ever visit ever this past week. 1st visit I bought just a baguette. Squeezing the bag in the shop I was a little dubious of the quality because it felt a little mushy. Top quality baguettes in France have a strong hard crunch to the exterior. But my doubt was erased when I got home and tasted the bread. It is airy inside, lots of bubbles. I lightly toasted it in my air fryer to get that nice crunch on the outside. The flavor is excellent and reminds me of the 100's of loaves I've eaten in France. 2nd visit a few days later I got the hot dog inside a croissant, a macaron, and a ham / cheese croissant. The macaron made me perfectly happy. The two other savory items were pretty much a swing and a miss. The hot dog was extremely salty, not enjoyable. The ham & cheese croissant had a nice crunch to the shell. But inside the skimpy ham and cheese was wet and made the interior a little gooey. I plan to visit again. Next time it'll be to sample some of the pastries. Probably eat them in the store so I can drink a cup of Lavazza coffee. read more

Paris Baguette is a large bakery franchise from South Korea. I haven't been to one in a few years, but I was lured in by their new Dubai chocolate items. They ran out of the mochi donut though and the (small) tart was $10- hard pass. I came around noon, so I guess I need to come earlier if I want to attempt getting the mochi donut again. I ended up purchasing the crab meat croquette. I didn't care for it as I expected it to be more potato and less bready. I did download their app before going in and saw there was a free welcome pastry with purchase. The cashier said I had to purchase two items, which I was confused about. Oh well. The almond croissant had the perfect amount of layers, and filling ! It tasted like real almonds and was not overly sweet. I also really enjoyed the croissant with cream and berries inside. He said it was for "donations" while literally cutting in front of us while we were trying to pick out some pastries. There were so many yummy treats here and some items I do not normally see at my Colorado location. The day I came I brought my aunt and she ordered a variety box of treats, a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. We were waiting for about 10 minutes for her sandwich after our order and they forgot to warm it up or bring it to her , completely forgot. By the time they gave her the sandwich, her coffee was cold. It was her first time eating here and I was embarrassed. After that we enjoyed our coffee and treats. They had a table set with board games. They had a person constantly cleaning the tables. Another person was checking in on guests. It was not overcrowded but it was busy that morning. There were tons of people also trying to choose so it made it kind of hard. At times it felt like driving in rush hour traffic the wrong way! But there was plenty for everyone. They refilled the cases with pastries and were friendly on the floor and at the register. You can also pick up ready made sandwiches and coffee or specialty drinks, some of which are seasonal. First visit to Paris Baguette. Having visited their website a while back they have an extensive menu with many unique items both sweet and savory. The space appeared clean. Plenty of tongs and trays. Display cases were well stocked. One display case backed up to the seating area so if the place was full and there were people seated at the adjacent tables you wouldn't be able to see or access the goods. That wasn't a problem today. There were a number of items I had seen on the website that weren't offered in the cases but I understand there's only so much space and they may tailor their offerings based on customer preference. If something's not selling no sense offering it so not knocking them for that. Pastries looked pretty and well portioned. But pretty only goes so far. The bulk of the pastries we sampled were mostly mediocre puff pastry; crispy and flakey but with very little flavor or filling. Some reviews mention the pastries aren't very sweet. Because there was so little filling I couldn't say one way or another. The cakes were pretty as well but what they were charging for an itsy bitsy slice I was not interested in trying them. You take your items to the counter and the cashier rings up and packages. I don't know if the cashier that waited on us was brand new and this was her first day or if she was just naturally clueless. Rang up items wrong and was confused as how to package the items. If it's her first day I'm sure she'll catch on and be fine. If not, not a good customer service rep. Anyway TL;DR If you need a big selection of unique baked goods and don't care about the quality or price (like catering a work function on the company's dime) then this place will serve your needs. If you love fresh flavorful baked goods you can pass on by.
