We visit this little spot in the mall frequently. A young gentleman said they do not offer tastings. We take a 4 year old there frequently and have always been able to get a taste before buying the ice cream. He was not friendly at all and said it has always been that way. I explained we come often and have got a small taste each time. He said nope not doing it. If I did not have a small child I would have walked away. If I could have sent a message privately I would have. As I think this is an issue with training or just not wanting to do the job. read more

Yum! Well, this goes to show that I have not been inside the Galleria in at least five months... roughly around the time I ended my part time job at Macy's. Caught my eye and stopped by this little stand just right outside the soon closing Aeropostale and in front of Sears on the 2nd Level... ooh! ice cream! It was a cupcake place once then a tea stand and now, yes! ice cream! Their ice creams are sold by cup or cone. Daughter and I each had the small cup [$3.50] and tried two flavors each. I went for the classics, cookies and cream and rocky road while my teen had the rainbow sherbet and cookie dough. Even before we started doing anything, including dinner, we had our dessert first. I always have time for dessert LoL! The ice creams were delicious!, creamy and flavorful from (or similar to) Gunther's. Sugar + cream is probably one of the BEST ice cream spots right next to The Parlor Ice Cream in Roseville. The cute little ice cream booth would be located on the 2nd level near Aeropostale and Hottopic. Sugar + Cream not only offers Ice Cream but French Macarons and Milkshakes! For the ice cream flavors that they have are quite similar to The Parlor's flavors and they also keep a mixed variety of flavors! You can never go wrong with the classic Taro and Green tea flavors. One of the flavors that made this little ice cream spot stand out is their Horchata ice cream! Probably my favorite flavor at the moment! I tried the champagne sorbet (refreshing) and the green tea (very flavorful), so I got a medium scoop of each ($5.50). Pretty generous sized scoops; a small would have easily satisfied my sweet tooth. They have freshly made waffle cones, "ponchik" (donut stuffed with ice cream), and ice cream macarans available too. My favorite thing about Sugar + Cream was the plastic temperature-sensitive spoon they give you. The white spoon turns pink/red when it hits the cold ice cream. It's really cool. The ice cream here is delicious. The only problem is it is very hard to find. It is upstairs in a kiosk and the sign is very small. It's located just beyond the food court not I the actual food court. Tried the birthday cake, vanilla bean and the one with Golden Grahams. It is totally worth walking around the whole mall to try and find. Just an FYI to all of you thinking 'oh I'll enjoy a scoop here and take one Togo for later' well think again! This is a cute stand in the Roseville Galleria that sells super cool ice cream flavors, macaroons, and amazing shakes! Each time I come to the mall, I sample a different ice cream flavor here. The workers are very nice and attentive. They are very knowledgeable about their job which I appreciate. My favorite flavors are taro, birthday cake, pumpkin (seasonal), green tea, and strawberry cheesecake. They are all amazing and are a must try... especially the taro! As I was shopping at the mall, I stumbled upon Sugar + Cream. I decided to try out their macarons and I wasn't disappointed! I tried out their Fruity Pebbles one and it tasted fruity (obviously). Their macarons weren't too sweet and had a great texture. Sweet, crispy, chewy, and fresh. They were not stale, unlike most stores I've went to. I believe it was around $2.45 a piece. I'm a usually patron of this small ice cream shop but as of today I am no longer. Service was horrible. The server basically slammed my kids ice cream on the counter instead of handing it to them. And when it was time to pay I gave him cash. Some of the bills were folded and his immediate response was "wow" in a real sarcastic tone. So yesterday I returned to have another try at this place. The blond playing with her hair wasn't working this time, but another female with long dark hair was. Hair not tied back, she was scooping ice cream flipping her hair from one side to another as she was bent over the freezer. What doesn't the owner understand about health issues?
