Another employee -- a short, curly-haired, very light-skinned/mixed Black woman -- was just as gracious when we asked about cashews for our daughter. Both of them were beyond kind and knowledgeable. Third star: great coffee. I only had an Americano, but it was really good -- smooth, rich, and exactly what you want with pastries like these. Fourth star: the place is clean, organized, and clearly well-run. It was busy, but the team handled the crowd efficiently without feeling rushed or chaotic. Fifth star (the fun one): the pastries are ridiculously good. We tried a bunch: * chocolate mud cookie -- perfect crunch on the outside, chewy inside * cinnamon-roll-style pound cake -- super moist and flavorful * cinnamon roll scone * almond cake with raspberry ...and several others I didn't catch the names of. Everything was delicious. You'd never guess these are vegan/gluten-free/dairy-free -- they're just straight-up amazing pastries. Bottom line: Pushkin's is a gem.
