I specifically ordered cupcakes for their vegan options. We ordered 3 different flavors and all were amazing! Vegan baked goods are often dry and dense- or the frosting just takes like oil. But not these! They were perfection! Everything was so good and the fillings were just the right amount of extra sweetness. I took them to a party and even the non-vegan attendees were completely impressed. Will absolutely be ordering again! read more

I needed vegan cupcakes for my son's birthday to share with his daycare. I contacted Bridget the day of, and although she had a big event to do, she was still able to squeeze in our order! Mind you, this is the week before Christmas so I know things can be hectic. She was actually able to get the cupcakes done same day and even offered the option of dropping them off to me/his daycare or having us pick them up. The daycare told me the cupcakes were delicious and Bridget even added an extra cupcake to make it an even 16 for me. I will be back if I have any other catering needs for sweets. read more

Bridget is amazing- she did my daughters birthday cake during the Christmas holidays in 2021 and was super flexible, kind, and most importantly her cupcakes were delicious! We ordered extra and nothing was left over! Since I was very confused on what color to have the main cupcakes, Bridget went above and beyond and made the special cupcakes for my daughter to place her candles on in four different colors! I mean that is called AMaZInG service! She also was so flexible on timing, which I know it hard during the holidays! honestly I can't wait to order again This birthday season! This review is long over due. My son, who's 30th birthday was coming up, lives near Sacramento, while I was living overseas, making it quite difficult to make this milestone birthday a big deal. In my usual fashion, I waited until just about as close to the birthday as possible to try to figure out how to let him know this birthday is a big deal. Enter Busy Bee Cupcakery. I contacted them by email and explained my situation. Bridget was a delight to work with! We chatted back and forth about cupcakes, and birthdays and family. She was great! The cupcakes were delivered as promised and my son and daughter-in-law raved about these tasty treats. As a matter of fact, for my daughter-in-laws birthday, she got cupcakes too! I will definitely be using the Busy Bee Cupcakery again in future. What a wonderful find. read more

History

Established in 2010.

I began this business as the result of my childhood dream of owning a bakery and being able to help others in my community.

Meet the Business Owner: Bridget P.

I am a full-time mother, Kindergarten teacher, and fitness fanatic. I began baking at the age of 3 with my mother and grandmother, continued experimenting on my own when I was old enough to be trusted with appliances, and have been perfecting and creating recipes for years.

Ask the Community - Busy Bees Cupcakery

Hello, Bridget can you do an Italian buttercream? Or Swiss? We have been searching for ever and no one seems to know how?

I know how!!! Whipped egg whites with sugar syrup and softened butter

Any Keto options?

Yes so far I’ve perfected a Keto cupcake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. Both are made with Swerve sweetener

Do you deliver in Sacramento area only or outside Sacramento (like Davis) as well?

I'm in Roseville so I deliver for a small fee

Are there any vegan options?

Hi Megan! I can make pretty much all of my flavors vegan

Craving for dessert and coffees after an afternoon lunch, our large group elected to come here in this little strip mall off Foothills Blvd in Roseville. Parking is super easy, barely an inconvenience. This is an intimate cafe with a limited cluster of tables and chairs much alike the one we visited in the South Bay. My wife and I decided to share an Upside Down Halo-Halo while the rest of our group either had the Regular Halo-Halo, smoothies and coffees. Now for the uninitiated, halo-halo is a vibrant Filipino shaved ice dessert with a base layer of assorted sweet stuff, drizzled with evaporated milk and crowned with ube ice cream. An upside down halo-halo blends the ube ice cream with the slush and is topped by vanilla ice cream. Cafe 86 has coconut jellies, jackfruit, boba, frosted flakes, and leche flan listed as their ingredients. The lone staff working that afternoon certainly had her hands full. Our orders came out one by one but we didn't mind as we came for a little chit-chat with old friends. Our dessert pit-stop didn't disappoint. Our halo-halo was a nice balance of sweet and cold with varied textures of crunch, creamy and chewy which is what a good halo-halo should be. I mean I want to support and continue to buy more desserts but they making it impossible. I even offered to pay ahead of time. This is truly unfortunate and acceptable as far as bad customer service. The manager Ben made an Ube Oreo monster milkshake but it was a huge mistake because I witnessed him put three scopes of ice, three scopes of ice cream and some milk. Your guess is best as mine I ended up getting a water down (full of ice) purple color drink. Such a let down because I've ordered the same item on a different day and the flavor was definitely and noticeably different like night and day. I don't think I'll be coming back to this location as there are some inconsistency on communication as well as transparency on when can I actually place an order of two dozen of ube leche plan and two dozen of ube Oreo dessert to be pick up on said date since I'll be delivering them on a set schedule. The custom smash cake and cupcakes we ordered for our special occasion turned out perfectly. The cake presentation was flawless because she successfully incorporated the rose gold design we requested , and it tasted better than expected. The cake presented itself as a masterpiece while delivering exceptional flavor. They provides excellent service for all dietary requirements including vegan and gluten-free, and keto options, which result in delicious food. Bridget is amazing, she is detail oriented, listening to me, and not just nodding her head, she actually takes her time to perfect each cupcake, notice I said cupcake? That's because Busy Bees CUPCAKERY makes cupcakes, cake pops etc, not CAKES or WEDDING CAKES. I am only pointing this out because it sadens me, as a business owner myself, see her review status drop because of a negative review about something that is not even on the Busy Bee's menu. That would be like writing a negative review on a "beer bar" because they didn't sell hard alcohol. Keep the reviews light and fare. I have had cupcakes made by Bridget many times, and they are by far the best in town and all around, just don't be disappointed if you can't get a cake. read more

The chef customized the cake just for us. We had the carrot cake and it was so delicious, moist and not too sweet. I just loved them. We also used Busy Bees Cupcakery for our Cookie Buffet. All of the cookies were super fresh and tasted amazing. We had personalized biscotti and mini black and white cookies. The guests loved the Cookie Buffet and there weren?t any cookies left over! read more

Bridget recently made cupcakes and cake pops for my daughter's baby shower. We ordered a variety of flavors and we were not disappointed in any way. They were fabulous and we gave her name and number to everyone. We had an owl theme and she made darling owl cake pops to give out as a favor. The guests are still talking about them to this day! read more
