The manager went around to all the tables and thanked folks for coming in. What a nice touch! The wait staff also recognized locals so it had a community feel. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and they even offered focaccia bread and water while I waited, which I appreciated. I ordered two kids pizzas, one with pineapple and one with olives, and specifically asked for extra sauce because my kids like their pizza that way. I was also charged an extra $2 for the toppings, which I paid, but it would have been nice if that had been communicated to me upfront. Unfortunately, after waiting about 40 minutes, the pizzas were very disappointing. My kids immediately said it tasted like cheese bread, and after trying it myself, I agreed. There was barely any sauce at all, which was surprising since I had asked for extra sauce. My kids wouldn't eat it, and I ended up having to take them somewhere else to get pizza. I was really disappointed after driving so far and having high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

I had already looked over the menu and knew I wanted to try the Pork Belly Sisig. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I placed my order and added a spontaneous milk tea with boba, 'cause why not live a little. Food and drink came out quickly. The pork belly sisig was great, and consisted of shredded browned pork belly with a side of pickled veggies over a bed of rice, with a fried egg and two pieces of lumpia, garnished with a touch of diced white onion. Very tasty. I ordered the Jasmine Tea boba. Pro-tip: you can ask for less sweet on the teas. He customized my milk tea at 50% sweetness. I look forward to coming back to try the pork adobo, order more lumpia and try the spam musubi. It's been awhile since I've had good Filipino food! I grew up in a very culturally diverse area and missed these dishes, so I'm stoked to have this available right down the street from my work. I went in ready for a mangonada, only to be humbled because they were out of mango freeze. Tragic. So I pivoted to the fresada... and it completely redeemed the moment--refreshing, flavorful, no complaints. Also had the esquites (corn in a cup) which was creamy, delicious, and disappeared way too fast. Now I'm clearly obligated to come back for my mangonada redemption arc--and I've got my eye on the ceviche too. Hidden gem for sure. Will definitely be back soon!
