She even gave us these adorable snowman containers, which was such a thoughtful and charming touch. The ambience was inviting, and we truly enjoyed the overall experience. They also offer a complimentary photo print, which was a fun and unique addition. Although we didn't get to try the bingsu this time, we did try the Croiffles, and they exceeded expectations--perfectly crispy, and the whipped cream was light and made to perfection. I used to love this place when they first opened, their drink menu for boba is limited but the selection is good overall. The last three times I've gone have been very unfortunate though. The first instance the drink was noticeably incorrect, tasted like it was 98% milk and very little other flavor. The second, I had to wait over 30 mins for one drink. I went this last time as all the other boba places were closed and I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt- it took a little over 20 mins for my drinks. I've never been to this location in person but I occasionally get delivery from DoorDash. I really love the croffle desserts they have, they always come tasting fresh and crunchy. My favorite is definitely the Mixed Berry Croffle as it contains the perfect amount of sweetness while still being refreshing. I am unfortunately not a big fan of their coffee drinks. They are advertised differently on their DoorDash profile but they don't look anything like the photos and they don't taste very good. The milk teas are much better but the boba is a hit or miss. I would definitely like to come in person someday as they have a variety of bingsu options that look delicious. After seeing the new Sweet Corn drinks on Instagram, we decided it was time to make another trip to Kobing! There's plenty of indoor seating. Kpop music videos playing on the big screen tv. Such a fun vibe. There's now a kiosk to order from. We ordered both the Soo Soo Matcha and the Soo Soo Latte so we could try both drinks! And my little one ordered the Vanilla Gelato with Boba. Both our drinks were delish! The yummy sweet corn topping was creamy, sweet and the perfect addition to both the matcha and latte. I love Asian desserts -- especially since many of them tend to be carb-free. When I heard about the bingsu here, I had to try it! Bingsu is a Korean dessert with finely shaved ice or milk-based ice with sweet toppings. Definitely finer than shave ice and the texture just melts in your mouth for a creamy experience. I was torn between the traditional Korean bingsu with red beans and mochi or the melon one ($16). I opted for the latter and I was so glad I did! This behemoth came out in half a melon with melon balls and chopped up mango on top. A passionfruit syrup was drizzled over everything with a side of sweetened condensed milk. At the bottom of the melon "bowl" was more melon. OMG talk about mouthgasm. The melon bingsu is definitely made for two, the cute pink interior and trendy Korean videos makes for an easy date spot. Service was fast, although the tables could've used some wiping down. I'm already craving this again and it's been less than a week! read more

For a place with such a limited menu, I find a few things consistently frustrating (and I've probably been here at least 30 times since they opened): 1.Even when there's only one other person inside, ordering a single item somehow takes way too long. 2.The customer experience can be rough. Almost every time I'm there, people take forever to order from a very small menu, ask a million unnecessary questions, and leave a mess behind. 3.I've tried ordering online to avoid all of the above (I live five minutes away), but the mini shaved ice -- which I always order -- isn't available online. On any platform. I've mentioned this multiple times over the years and nothing has changed. If you sell it in-store, why can't it be ordered online? That said, the shaved ice flavors are great and the crowaffles are really good too. I just wish the overall experience matched the quality of the food. read more

Visited recently and my rating still stands. Not the worst but not the best in the area. Service is always great and there is never a wait for my order. Crunchy, chewy, lightly sweet and hits that spot. I ordered the apple yuzu green tea. It was a bit sweet for me even though it as told it's not too sweet and not to lower the sweetness. I should have gotten half sweet. This drink is on the sour side, and I love sour, so maybe for others the normal amount of sugar is good for them. Located in a small little plaza. Plenty of parking. Considering I've been a resident of Citrus Heights since 2016 (the year is 2024 as I am writing this review), there hasn't been many boba spots (if any) since living here. Everything is more or less in Sacramento, Elk Grove, and other more diverse areas. This takes me to "Kobing Dessert Studio" that is located on San Juan Ave. and just south of Greenback Lane in the heart of Citrus Heights. Their grand opening was in July 2023 and they took over where "Beanheads Coffee" once stood for just a short time. Prior to that was where "Bo's Urban Eats" was. Let's hope this place lasts longer than the previous two. Parking is fairly easy to find as this is in a relatively quiet strip mall. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted with light pink walls complete with marbled tables, an LED TV playing K-Pop videos, and bright pink neon signage showcasing their business name. It is definitely one of the places that women will love as it is very TikTok/Instagram friendly. Their menu carries quite a few of Boba options including Thai Tea, Strawberry Matcha, Lychee, and the option I ended up ordering, their "Okinawa Brown Sugar". Since I didn't want it overbearingly sweet, I asked for 50% sweetness and light ice. In addition to their Boba choices, they carry traditional hot/iced coffees, soft serve ice creams, Bingsu (shaved ice), and Croiffles (croissant + waffle). My lady ended up ordering an Iced Americano and we took our drinks to-go and made the quick drive home. I've got to say that the service that was provided here and overall experience, this place went highly above my expectations. As for my Boba drink, even at 50% the brown sugar was still relatively sweet. This is why it's good to give a good shake (of your cup) since much of the sweetness is on the bottom. And the iced Americano that my lady ordered, she said it rivals some of the best iced coffee she's tried in the entire Sacramento area. That says a lot for a place that is still the new kid in town. Keep in mind that even though they serve coffee here, they don't open until 12pm. However, they are open for business 7 days a week from 12-9pm. I am quite curious to see how their desserts shape up. From what quite a few of my Yelp friends said, they were also very pleasantly surprised with how good this place was. As I mentioned, I just hope it survives since I've seen a lot of quality businesses come and go here. With that said and done, I am going to give "Kobing Dessert Studio" a unanimous five star rating. read more

This place is SUCH a cute spot for Korean desserts, especially bingsu! It's got the cute pink aesthetic going on and kpop music playing in the background and kpop music videos on the TV hehehe. If you're a fan of kpop and korean desserts this place is for you. And even if not a kpop fan it's still super cute and enjoyable to try some korean desserts here! I can't recommend the mango melon bingsu enough! The flavor and texture of the melon balls with the mango shaved ice and condensed milk is so addicting. We had a large to share with my partner and I couldn't help eat almost all of it LOL. It's ok though because he's not as bug a fan of melon (yay for me) But he also had a mini choco lovers bungsu for himself which he really liked. Other dessert I highly recommend is the injeolmi croffle! If you've never had it but like nutty flavors you'll love it! It's basically roasted soybean powder with mochi. Soooo good! Went with friends to Kobing yesterday after lunch. I ordered the soo soo latte and my friends had the green tea shaved ice and strawberry matcha. While they both enjoyed their items, I have to say that my soo soo latte was real real good! Service was great. Friendly and helpful. The place is very cute. But back to my latte. It was soo soo good!!! I've been thinking about it ever since I had it. But corn is one of my favorite foods of all time, so if you don't like corn, you're not going to like this latte. I told the server that I don't really like strong coffee so she said I could try it with just one shot of espresso instead of the normal two. The drink tasted like a sweet cream corn shake with a hint of coffee flavor. It became thicker as everything mixed together.
