One of my favorite donut locations! I passed this place on my way to work and decided to finally try it. I went here during the holidays and let me tell you, the lady who owns the shop is SO NICE!!! I was taking a minute to decide which donut I wanted to get and we started to talk a bit. She was so kind to offer me to try a free eggroll! SO TASTY!! Honestly made my day. If you see this, thank you Her donuts are delicious. I am basic and get the usual chocolate or maple donut. The crust of the donut gives a slight crisp crunch when you bite it and the inside of the breading is so light and airy. They offer many types of donuts here, I would recommend going a bit earlier if you want more of a selection. They get sold out quick! This is also a good place to eat breakfast. It is fast paced but also very quiet and calm. I would definitely recommend coming here. Great customer service. read more

I love Manley's donuts! I happily drive 20 minutes each way for them, at least once a week. I reside in Rocklin, and there is no shortage of donut shops between here and there. There's even a "world famous" donut shop here in town. I'm always happy to make the drive for a chocolate old-fashioned! Just... Perfect! read more

I was in the area. I thought I'd stop and get a doughnut and the donuts were greasy, oily, and disgusting. Typically you can't do much to a donut, but I was wrong. Think twice before coming to Manley's donuts... They're not that good there may be a few flavors that are OK but the rest of the cake donuts are very oily and greasy... No flavor read more

Ube Chocolate Donut The outdoor sign just simply says DONUTS... that was good enough to catch my attention. It was a Sunday afternoon around 1:15p when I poked my head inside to see what was left for the day. They closed at 2:00p. I wanted a raised glaze but they were all out... I purchased a few chocolate glazed donuts (which is also a yummy substitute), an old-fashion and a frosted donut. The donuts were light and airy... so good. My daughter loved the frosted cake donut. Owner is super nice and friendly. As I was paying he had me sample a chocolate Ube donut complimentary... on the house. The catch is I have to eat it inside the shop to let him know how I liked it... I'm probably in the 2% who is not a huge fan of Ube but I took a bite... and a second... I didn't really like it... I LOVED IT!! I wanted to get more but it was the last one! I'ma have to come back for a dozen of those. Im still not a fan of Ube but these are darn good especially with the chocolate flavor... I finished my donut as I was walking out! Came here after finding it here on Yelp since I'm new to the area for work. This donut spot was the closest and on the way so decided to stop by to grab a dozen donuts for my staff as a Friday treat. Immediately had great customer experience with the lady at the cash register. She helped me choose which donuts to put in the box and I also wanted a Thai tea drink, but she politely told me they were out of stock. I told her I wanted something sweet so she recommended the Vietnamese coffee which I had before but first time here. She made it perfectly sweet to my liking. I also ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and it was BY FAR the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The only thing I will say is they have limited seating area if people were to sit and eat. Other than that, I will definitely come by here again sometime on my way to work to get a Vietnamese coffee and breakfast sandwich! read more

I was suppose to review this place April of 2023, unfortunately for me I went into early labor the same day I had these delicious donuts This place is clean and very organized. The donuts are delicious and the croissant breakfast sandwiches looked amazing want to come back to try. Customer service was 10/10 the owner gave me a ube donut to try and it was amazing. Donut box cutest design ever and the donuts were pretty fresh warm and soft. Unfortunately service was not good lady didn't seem friendly didn't know how to use the computer register and the man tried to help her but she just kept talking in her native language. Did not like that I felt like I was over charged $26.50 for a dozen donuts they first charged me $16.50 for a dozen charged me more for 6 large donuts in which I only got 4. And said that the toppings one with cereal and cookies were specialty's so that was extra. Are you kidding me for cereal topping thats like sprinkles and for an Oreo/ animal cookie that's wild. I try to support local so I'd recommend if you live around here only cause of the donuts. Gentlemen was nice who worked here but the lady needs help with her customer service skills. read more

It's Christmas. I'm hungry and on the longish drive to see family. I need something to tide me over till I get there. The last 3 Starbucks I've past have lines around the block...I don't have the patience for that. I spot a donut sign and think that will have to do the job. I go to yelp...I always look at donut reviews because you just never know. Yelp said it was closed but I saw people inside so I went in. This spot was clean and the owner...he was sooooooo cool. When I say cool I mean kind, welcoming, conversational and generous. If I lived in this city I would come here often for my donut fix and a dose of sunshine. This is thebest donut place ever!! I live near Tahoe and I gladly drive all the way to Roseville to get 2 doz donuts here. Thinking about it makes me want more. Bye. See ya... Oh, which ones? They open at 6am, I got there five minutes early. At 6:05, the door was still locked in the "open" sign was still turned off, but there was a gal inside restocking a drink fridge that was near the door. I went and tapped on the door and the lady refused to look up. I looked and the mixer was going, but the donut case was completely empty. Disappointed I didn't get to even try anything because I had an event I needed to pick up Donuts for so I ended up having to go somewhere else which made me late. Super bummed. I would have bought a lot of donuts for the event and some coffee, too. read more

Amazing donuts to say the least. Everyone I get them for loves them. They're just a little pricey. Inside looks and smells like good. Found this gem on Yelp! OOOMMMGGEEE donuts are fresh daily and their turkey sandwich is to die for!!! DEEEEELISH. I always ask for the "mom" to make my sandwich. The owners are extremely polite and at times there's a long line which is great because you know you're getting fresh donuts each day. I'm always greeted when I walk in! The UBE glazed donuts are mouth watering which pair well with black coffee :) See you next time! read more

OMG talk about a hidden gem (Ok, maybe not so hidden, but it's been hiding from me!)! Manley's is a tiny but mighty donut shop putting out some fresh, light & airy pastries. The display case may be small but they still had a good variety of flavors and types of donuts and pastries. But since we got there later in the morning we already missed out on donut holes and the ube donuts I read about, and why I chose Manley's. When I asked if there were any ube donuts, he handed me one and said, "see if this is green tea or ube." I bit into the freshest, most flavorful moist donut ever! I said, "it's green tea but omg it is sooooo good!" I can imagine the ube one is just as scrumptious. I gobbled that up while I was deciding what else to get. My husband and the man helping us (owner?) got to talking football. He was really cool and so nice and welcoming. He even threw in another green tea donut in our bag for free. I had something that was called a "sunflower," and the texture and taste was like Hawaiian bread with chocolate icing and slivered almonds on top. It was fantastic. The cinnamon bun was too sweet for me, although to be fair, I tried it after eating 2 other donuts. Husband loved everything. Customer service and donuts were 5 + stars! read more

Another little hole-in-the-wall donut shop, the kind we pass daily without a second thought. We have passed this place hundreds of times over the years and never really paid any attention to it. We had our favorite place for donuts (Donut Spot in Orangevale) and all was good. Then, the owners of Donut Spot sold the business. The quality went to s**t and we were bereft of a good place for donuts. Driving by today, as we have before, I was seized with an urge to stop in and at least give it a shot. The smell gets you as soon as you walk in the door. Sweet, something savory, all around mouth watering. The guy behind the counter is all smiles and hospitality. We order our donuts and I notice as he is packing them in the bag, there are a fair number of donut holes making their way in there too. We get to the register to pay, and he hands us a donut, fresh, hot, and just out of the glaze bath. Once we reach the car, I bite into it because it's burning my hands. OMG... The absolute *DEFINITION* of "pillowy" and "soft" meets my tongue. The glaze is nicely sweet, but not so thick that it overwhelms the flavor of the donut itself. In a word, heaven. I had my raspberry filled a little while later, it too has the same delicious, pillowy texture and the tartness of the raspberry filling is a perfect counterpoint to the sweet glaze. Amazing! We have found our new donut place! read more

Today is National donut day and my daughter wanted to get some donuts so we came here to try their ube donut! So good! Frank and Judy were so nice and friendly! We bought a dozen donuts, a few specialities and 2 breakfast sandwiches! They were are so delicious! Donuts are fluffy! Highly recommend this place! I knew I would return before I even walked out of the door with my box of donuts. They were so kind and polite and even threw in several extra donuts for me when I mentioned it was my first time in their shop. They have a Reese's donut that is actually stuffed with an entire Reese's peanut butter cup. I've never seen that anywhere else. I was told they also have circus animal, Oreo, captain crunch, flavored donuts but I was a little too late for those. These were excellent donuts. I will absolutely return. Unique flavors you won't find anywhere else. Plus the people are so friendly! read more

We just moved to the area and went here based on Yelp reviews. We immediately fell in love. I don't even want to try other donut spots, this IS the one. I got lucky enough to discover this shop when I got my nails done next door. They have an amazing selection of donuts from the classic maple to reeses filled deliciousness and fun captain crunch donuts. There's something for everyone including bagels. The staff is super friendly and they always give me an extra donut when I order. Every time! I love this spot and will be enjoying my weekly donuts fix here. read more

The chocolate croissant was not flaky or crispy, but had that classic donut shop chewy texture, and of course, was loaded with chocolate. I HAVE to come back for the apple fritter, as that's one of my favorite donuts, and the cinnamon rolls look insane. I will be back!

I stopped by around 10:50 PM and had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a…read morelong time. The employee at the register was wearing headphones and counting cash when I walked in. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no effort to assist me. After repeatedly counting the money, he told me I would have to wait because he was about to clock out at 11:00 PM and needed to finish counting his drawer first. What concerned me most was that after handling cash, he immediately asked what I wanted to order. I requested that he wash his hands first. He refused, saying he wasn't going to touch the donuts with his hands because he would use tongs. Regardless, basic hygiene and food-handling practices should be taken seriously, especially when serving customers. At that point, I decided not to order anything and left. The entire experience felt unprofessional, unsanitary, and unwelcoming. It's disappointing to see a business operate this way. Management should seriously review customer service expectations and food safety procedures.

I used to love coming here as it is the closest donut shop to my residence. However, that was…read morebefore it was sold to a business owner who has employed their family in customer service positions and has no desire nor ability to coach their employees to provide better service. The gentleman who is always there seems intoxicated and has no business working in customer service. He says strange things and is extremely forgetful - in fact, the same day I stopped coming here, a man with his family had a confrontation with him. The worker's behavior always very off - not a personality thing, but appears to be a sobriety issue. In the aforementioned man's confrontation, the worker forgot multiple items and wouldn't make it right until the man brought it up, showed his receipt, and made the worker calculate the items which were bought - after the worker gave the man what he was owed, the worker failed to acknowledge their mistake and simply looked at the man with a blank stare. I had a similar issue and called the manager, who wasn't even on site. However, I didn't notice I was missing items until I drove home. The manager wouldn't even say "sorry about that" they simply said they would talk to the staff and that I should go back to pick up the items THEY failed to provide. I went back, and the same gentleman with the inconsistent, non-sober appearing behavior said he didn't hear anything from his manager and I had to call the manager AGAIN. If it isn't the poor behavior from the dude working there, the chick in the back with the sour attitude also fails every box of customer service. I'll never return. This was a great place when the original owner was running the show, now it's just bad.

What attracted me to come to Sake was that it's AYCE but you order want you want and however many pieces of whatever's on the AYCE menu. None of that mess people create on the buffet and no worries about how clean the other people's hands are when they touch the serving spoons/tongs. This restaurant was the same location for that promising Mexican restaurant just before COVID hit and was thus, forced to close. The inside was not too big, it was just the right size. Nothing fancy but I didn't go there for the fancy. I was there for the sushi and deep fried soft shell crab. The soft shell crab was crispy, just a little bit too done but had a nice crunch and the serving size was perfect. The sashimi were sliced in a variety of thinness/thickness, I guess depending on the fish. The sake/salmon was thick enough but the rest were not so much. But, it's AYCE so just double the order for each fish and you'll satisfy that sashimi cravings you've been having since last weekend. Also, surprise, surprise. They also have amaebi. One of my favorite nigiris. Sadly, the deep fried head didn't come with it only for us to find out that we had to specifically ask for it. I understand because many don't want to try the head, so food waste is minimal. To the service and staff I go. They came by our table asking if we would like to order some more. Albeit not too busy, maybe 10 tables at the same time we were there, but it's nice that they approach you not for the purpose of rushing you but to make sure you've had your fill of your favorite nigiri/sashimi/maki and the variety of rolls. It was a good experience. The staff made our visit a successful experience. The choices for food was expansive and I was not disappointed at all. Thank you Sake.

I had previously checked their menu on their official site which slightly differed from what was displayed so I ended up getting a mocha. My father wandered to the separate section of this establishment and got ice cream. The mocha was great! I substituted it with oat milk - not sure if that's what made it taste better but it was satisfying enough that we ended up heading over there the following day for coffee. I assume because we arrived near dinner hours and school ended, there was quite a bit of foot traffic. But overall, the experience was great! Found my new local coffee spot in Roseville. Thanks!

They even brought the food out to me. I had a Sweet Matcha Latte and a Sausage Breakfast Sandwich, but they also had pastries and regular lunch sandwiches as well. The sandwich was a bit overpriced ($16), but really enjoyed it so would definitely order again.

Anyways, there must have been a change of staff since I haven't seen my usual people for my last two orders. The avocado coffee was sweeter than their usual, I like my coffee strong. Vietnamese coffee-strong. I feel like they added too much condensed milk on their coffee, and I don't want to have that same experience for the 3rd time. I might take a break again from Gu and hopefully the usual baristas will be back soon. Ambience inside is always nice, although the newer baristas should be a little more welcoming as well.

I'm not sure what the purpose was of the paper they put over the top of the cup, but I took it off after leaving the shop.
