I had to update my review and give so much thanks to their team because I stopped in on National donut day. Originally I was going to grab a quick dozen, but last minute thought it would be a grand idea to request ten dozen donuts with no lead time to their staff. I made sure they knew it was ok if they couldn't and I'd take less, and whatever selection they chose. The staff member was SO KIND and assured me she could do it. They got me a beautiful selection and even threw in some bonus donut holes. While she was boxing everything I hung out in their cute restaurant and watched so many other happy customers pick up treats. Before I left I added on a croissant sandwich and tried their coconut coffee. We had to go to Folsom to get a State Parks Pass for my son's birthday, but it really was a ploy to try BJ Cinnamon. Named one of Yelp's 50 Best Donut places in the US, it sure didn't disappoint. My husband had his go-to chocolate bar donut, and said that it's delicious and light. I had my go-to (chocolate old fashioned), and it was great. Much lighter texture than any place I've been. The chocolate is the best. We got here a little before noon, and everything was still very fresh. My husband says that the coffee is as good as what he makes at home (5 stars) and I enjoyed the chai latte. The service is quick and friendly. The shop s clean and comfortable. I always order a dozen donut holes (my favorite!) and they give me lots of extra pieces! The donut holes come out warm every time and make the perfect companion to my Vietnamese iced coffee. BJ Cinnamon is legendary in the Folsom Area for their fresh Cinnamon Rolls. If this is your first time then you MUST order their Cinnamon roll. Trust me it is so freaking good. Funny thing is I'm not even much of a cinnamon roll guy. To also add, they put this fresh sweet glaze on top of the cinnamon roll at the end. You can keep telling them to add more if you like. They literally drown the cinnamon roll with this glaze. They don't skimp. Heads up it is super sweet but it is insanely delicious. For me they make the best cinnamon roll in Sacramento. I went to this donut shop after seeing them in the local news. I went on a Monday around 1 pm to avoid the morning rush - though I'm not sure how busy it gets in the mornings. It was a good time, plenty of parking and only one other customer. They have a nice set up with chairs, tables, and a couch. You can certainly take a seat and enjoy a donut and a drink. I ordered a few donuts, chocolate, glazed, and sugar. By far the glazed was the best! Super moist and not too much glaze - perfect. Our server Sort of struggled with our order putting back things I had asked for and making a peppermint latte despite being told multiple times peppermint mocha. The order was going to be taken to an event, totaling over $100. The driver arrived promptly, asked for the order and waited. The order was never fulfilled or even prepared. With the event starting soon, I had no choice but have DoorDash cancel the order at 7:23 AM. There's really no excuse for 43 minutes to pass without fulfilling an order, especially when the items are already made and ready to go in the morning. For a large order tied to an event, reliability is really important. Unfortunately, this caused unnecessary stress and we had to scramble for other options at the last minute. BJ Cinnamon did not let me down! I saw them on Yelp's Top 100 Donut List and new I had to give them a try. They are your average hike in the wall neighborhood donut shop but with a twist. They had a nice variety of donuts everything from raised, cake to old fashioned and apple fritters. They also make scones which come in a few flavors (blueberry, raspberry, orange), this was definitely nice to see. They also are famous for their homemade cinnamon rolls. They have the regular cinnamon rolls, apple cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns. I've been here quite a few times and I have to say that I'm actually hooked on their raspberry scones. They are nice and fluffy, have lots of fresh raspberry flavor, lightly glazed and are one of the best scones I've ever had. I also tried their pecan sticky bun with a side of their cream cheese icing and this was delicious as well, fresh and fluffy, moist and best when smeared warm. I wish I had the stomach space to try one of their many breakfast sandwiches because they have a wide variety of them and they look so yummy.
