The strawberry ring is amazing! One of those foods that bring a smile on a rough day. Bread was soft, strawberries tasted fresh, cream was nice and fluffy and overall, it wasn't too sweet. The cinnamon roll was soft on the inside, but stale and crusty on the outside, would've been better if it was soft entirely. Big plus for the ask on more frosting, she completely covered the top of my cinnamon roll...oh yeah! The apple fritter was the best I've had! I would rate the apple fritter itself 5/5. It was crispy on the outside and yet retained a fluffy and soft texture that blended well with apple and cinnamon. I also enjoyed the density of the ham, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. My husband got sausage, egg, and cheese but didn't like it so much. The only downside was some cream puffs (2 out of 6) did not have cream :( Vietnamese iced coffee was good and less sweet (not as strong in the condensed milk from what I could taste), which I liked. I had to update my review and give so much thanks to their team because I stopped in on National donut day. Originally I was going to grab a quick dozen, but last minute thought it would be a grand idea to request ten dozen donuts with no lead time to their staff. I made sure they knew it was ok if they couldn't and I'd take less, and whatever selection they chose. The staff member was SO KIND and assured me she could do it. They got me a beautiful selection and even threw in some bonus donut holes. While she was boxing everything I hung out in their cute restaurant and watched so many other happy customers pick up treats. Worth the drive!! I live just over half an hour away but was passing through and wanted to finally stop by! I got a handful of doughnuts (thank you for the freebie!!!) and the freaking (eclairs I think?) split with whip cream and fresh strawberries in the middle? FANTASTIC!!!!! I also grabbed a sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich (at noon!) and was so sad when it was gone: it was absolutely amazing and on a round croissant type bread. We had to go to Folsom to get a State Parks Pass for my son's birthday, but it really was a ploy to try BJ Cinnamon. Named one of Yelp's 50 Best Donut places in the US, it sure didn't disappoint. My husband had his go-to chocolate bar donut, and said that it's delicious and light. I had my go-to (chocolate old fashioned), and it was great. Much lighter texture than any place I've been. The chocolate is the best. We got here a little before noon, and everything was still very fresh. My husband says that the coffee is as good as what he makes at home (5 stars) and I enjoyed the chai latte. The service is quick and friendly. The shop s clean and comfortable. I always order a dozen donut holes (my favorite!) and they give me lots of extra pieces! The donut holes come out warm every time and make the perfect companion to my Vietnamese iced coffee. We usually pull up to a packed parking lot with a line out of the door but the wait is never ridiculous. Once you step foot in the parking lot, you are met with the sweet aroma of fresh made donuts! It's wonderful. The staff members are sweet and get the line moving quickly. The donut selection is endless and the prices are fair. BJ Cinnamon is my favorite to get assorted dozens from. Funny thing is I'm not even much of a cinnamon roll guy. To also add, they put this fresh sweet glaze on top of the cinnamon roll at the end. You can keep telling them to add more if you like. They literally drown the cinnamon roll with this glaze. They don't skimp. Heads up it is super sweet but it is insanely delicious. For me they make the best cinnamon roll in Sacramento. I went to this donut shop after seeing them in the local news. I went on a Monday around 1 pm to avoid the morning rush - though I'm not sure how busy it gets in the mornings. It was a good time, plenty of parking and only one other customer. They have a nice set up with chairs, tables, and a couch. You can certainly take a seat and enjoy a donut and a drink. I ordered a few donuts, chocolate, glazed, and sugar. By far the glazed was the best! Super moist and not too much glaze - perfect. The owners/workets are alwsys so pleasant, and they're "famous" for throwing in a freebie or two. Smart, cuz it doesn't cost them much but builds goodwill and maybe even loyalty. I've been wanting to try BJ Cinnamon for awhile, and it was so good! The cinnamon roll was soft and chewy, sweet but not too sweet. The sausage egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich was hot and the egg was fluffy. They also gave us few extra donut holes that were still warm :) All of the employees were busy, busy! Live less than a mile from this place and had a very disappointing experience this morning. I placed an order at 6:40 AM for delivery around 7:00 AM. The order was going to be taken to an event, totaling over $100. The driver arrived promptly, asked for the order and waited. The order was never fulfilled or even prepared. With the event starting soon, I had no choice but have DoorDash cancel the order at 7:23 AM. There's really no excuse for 43 minutes to pass without fulfilling an order, especially when the items are already made and ready to go in the morning. For a large order tied to an event, reliability is really important. Unfortunately, this caused unnecessary stress and we had to scramble for other options at the last minute. I want to start off by saying that I've been a regular here ordering bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches & cinnamon rolls here almost every weekend for as long as I can remember. Shames me to say, the quality of the food here has been very poor the past few weeks. Today, I've ordered my regular go to for me & my spouse- 2 bacon, egg & cheese & 2 cinnamon roll. I was very disappointed. The bacon on both sandwiches were burnt & had a horrible after taste. The cinnamon rolls were not even placed in a styrofoam Togo container like they normally do & placed them in a regular box which caused all the icing the seep through the box! I'm not the one to usually complain as hence I don't have many reviews but this happened multiple times consistently over my past few orders. BJ Cinnamon did not let me down! I saw them on Yelp's Top 100 Donut List and new I had to give them a try. They are your average hike in the wall neighborhood donut shop but with a twist. They had a nice variety of donuts everything from raised, cake to old fashioned and apple fritters. They also make scones which come in a few flavors (blueberry, raspberry, orange), this was definitely nice to see. They also are famous for their homemade cinnamon rolls. They have the regular cinnamon rolls, apple cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns. I've been here quite a few times and I have to say that I'm actually hooked on their raspberry scones. They are nice and fluffy, have lots of fresh raspberry flavor, lightly glazed and are one of the best scones I've ever had. I also tried their pecan sticky bun with a side of their cream cheese icing and this was delicious as well, fresh and fluffy, moist and best when smeared warm. I wish I had the stomach space to try one of their many breakfast sandwiches because they have a wide variety of them and they look so yummy. I will definitely be back for those and to give some of their donuts a try. I highly recommend trying them out, you will not be disappointed! read more
