Out here for work and was across the street getting a refund from the laundromat and helping a guy jump his car, when I noticed this pretty donut shop. I asked the guy if this place was good and he immediately said yes and he especially loves their bear claws. I walked across and followed the signs to open the correct door and Kim was there! I noticed they have THE CUTEST donuts with whipped cream and little characters and charms on top. It's like a kids dream donut (or an adult)! I went with the vanilla or cream filled donut with matcha whip cream on top and slices of strawberry and got a bear claw for my new friend. I can tell you the strawberry matcha donut is giving! It's not too sweet, perfectly light, and the strawberry slices give it the right amount of tang. I'm not really a donut or matcha girlie and I loved this donut! I asked Kim about the Cambodian coffee and she said it's similar to Vietnamese coffee. After my inspection this morning I deserved a shot of tequila, but went with this Cambodian coffee instead! Thank you Kim for taking the time to ask if I wanted it sweeter or stronger. It tasted just right! Not as bitter or extremely sweet as Vietnamese coffee. If you want to get an adorable sweet treat for a coworker or friend's birthday, wedding, divorce, promotion, definitely stop here first!

Support family owned, local businesses! There's a promo going on until end of January where you get a free donut for buying a drink. For those that are lactose intolerant, they have soda or redbull drinks but everything else is made with milk. I wanted the promo so ordered a number 5 rose lavender soda & received a blueberry donut. I cannot justify a $7.50 (sprite canned mixed with rose syrup) and honestly the blueberry donut reminded me of a blueberry cake mix but in a donut form. Sadly their prices are higher by about 50 cents from other shops. I do like their hours of operation from 4:30 to 5 pm and that they have a food menu too.

Came in to grab a treat while I waited for my car to get washed. Got a maple donut that I devoured. It was fluffy and perfect, I could have eaten a dozen. Also tried their strawberry smoothie with boba. It reawakened my love for boba. 10/10 recommend.

It is nice to have a donut shop in the area. The chocolate old fashioned donut was very crisp, which is a plus for me personally. The donut holes and the strawberry glazed donut were average. I appreciate that they are open later than most donut shops and look forward to trying their drinks! They also have Korean street food which is unique for a donut shop. Service was friendly.

If you cannot resolve a problem, or if it is an ongoing issue, you should escalate it to someone with the expertise and authority to address consumer concerns. Do not wait for customers to approach you after the situation has already deteriorated, especially when a flippant response has shifted the tone of the interaction. Another option would have been to table the conversation for a later time or on a different day until more information was available. What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.

I finally stopped by after picking up something small at Chick Fil A next door. When I pulled up into the drive thru, there was a sign that said that the speaker was currently not working so had to go up to the drive thru window to order. Luckily there was no line when I was there! I pulled up to the drive thru window and initially ordered an Iced Vanilla Matcha. Unfortunately, they were out of matcha so I ended up going with my usual second choice drink which was an Iced Vanilla Chai. I also asked for light ice so it's not too much ice. The drink was made pretty quick so I didn't have to wait too long. I took a sip and was very pleased with their Vanilla Chai drink given it was my first time trying a drink from here! You can definitely taste the chai which was subtle and the vanilla sweetener made it even better. Will definitely try this place again to see how their Vanilla Matcha is! Luckily there's another location near my office building where I work so might give it a try there next time. Although I do love the drive-thru only concept when on-the-go!

I came during a busy hour which wasn't idea but didn't affect anything in regard to the taste of what I got! Typically I like to find a spot that's quietly busy so if you're wanting to do the same I would try to come when it's less busy as I found myself slightly overstimulated by the business and seeing all the seats filled up which otherwise is a good sign! The Banana Dream Match caught my eye so I ordered it immediately along with an Avocado toast + egg ( extra cost). They give you a buzzer for the food and you have to find a corner to wait in that's out of the way and pick your food up by the kitchen. The vibe was very open and I liked the different seating options as well as the abundance of outlets. I ended up eating outside to get away from the busyness and the I was in the middle of talking when the taste of the Banana hit me. The best. Banana matcha I've ever had. Which I didn't expect because I've tried so many but what I loved most is that the banana flavor was sweet but tasted like real banana and the matcha flavor was still present. The banana flavor wasn't just at the top either it was top to bottom so every sip tasted the same making it soooo good!! The Avocado toast was good as well a little on the tangy side but I loved the egg. Great spot when it's less busy which would make parking easier as well but glad I stopped in to find my new favorite matcha spot.

I did get her name but the woman behind the bar was a delight. She offered so much knowledge of the process and was very informative. I've never had mead and found out it is fermented honey and more like a hard cider than wine. They source their honey from Woodland and Fresno. She even gave us a sample of honey they use. We got the flight, I was a little bummed they didn't offer very many flavors to choose from but was told they had a huge batch of their base fail and they had to toss it leaving them with not very many options. Which I get, stuff happens so I can't dock them for that. We did get traditional, pomegranate, blanc, hard cider and mix of traditional and the hard cider. I really enjoyed them all. It was like a sweet version of a basic hard cider with a hint of sour. At the end we opted for a bottle of the Pomegranate mead to take home but now I'm wishing we got some traditional too. Just another reason to come back I guess. They did say give them a month to get their new batch made so they can have more flavors on tap, so in a month we'll be back. Overall it's a really cute spot with good drinks! And the back story is a heartwarming.
