01.15.26 When I get that late night sweet tooth craving, there aren't many places that cannot only satisfy, but are even open to do so. With Donut King being open 24/7, they've NEVER let me down when 'called' upon. Which goes to say, Hubs & I are frequent customers of the late night variety. And with us being in our mid-40s, that means after dark but still before 9pm. LOL But hey, I'm sure the consistency we've experienced means we'd likely get the same tasty goodness & friendly service at ANY time of day--at least that's what I'd like to think. Sometimes, we may stop in for a late afternoon treat if in the area shopping or whatnot. So yeah, they consistently good. Some days the case variety may be a little more....sparse, but still enough selection to feel like they don't have something worthwhile. Most times, the case is pretty full, containing the usual classics and a few not so classics. But don't come here looking for that specialty, high-end, bougie-style donut. No no! This is your standard, run-of-the-mill, good ol' fashioned Old Fashioned donut variety, which just so happens to be one of my favorite to get, either in chocolate or maple glaze. Apple fritters are another go-to, while a rainbow sprinkle and even a sugar or crumb donut can be found. Custard filled? Check. Donut holes, absolutely. Maple bar (another go-to of mine) is also a yummy classic served up here. But the one we got on our most recent visit, the one that spurred me actually finally writing up this review, was a BLUEBERRY filled donut. Now, I do love most anything blueberry, so full disclosure. But when hubby tells me even HE found this donut to be SUUUUPER good, that's when I know my tastebuds aren't being biased. Before I wrap this up, let me bring it back to service. The Asians behind the counter, as I've mentioned earlier, is always friendly. Even if/when there occasionally are other patrons besides us, I've witnessed they treat people so nicely, practically as family. It makes me believe they have regulars, but maybe that's just their standard--and if that's the case, it's not a bad business model! So I certainly hope Donut King keeps things going strong and they continue to be abundantly blessed with great customers, to be around for many years to come. I came here with my girlfriend to try out this spot while driving home late at night. The employee was very kind and the space was very clean. I got a chocolate bar and she got a maple bar. Donut King's name says it all... they have my heart, and can make a fabulous muffin too, on top of the whole donut thing! Always wonderful, friendly, and fast service. Excellent refrigerated drink selection. Their menu appears small but the staff will make you a delicious custom coffee if you ask. Soft, warm, fresh donuts of excellent quality. Did I mention they're 24/7? I recommend the apple fritter, the chocolate glazed, and my favorite - the cream cheese muffin. You'll have to thank me later. read more

My first time coming and I wish I came here sooner. The sprinkled strawberry glazed donut and blueberry glazed donut was so good! I would definitely come back. I wouldn't order the Thai Tea again though. Too much ice and was slightly watery because of it. Also, be patient and wait for more donuts if you notice they are out. It's worth it. 5 stars. I love the donuts here. They are classic, delicious, and it definitely helps that they are open 24/7. They offer a great variety, including filled donuts, bars, old-fashioneds, crullers, cinnamon rolls, fritters, ham and cheese croissants, muffins, and more. Donut King has a huge variety of donuts that were available. I ordered a bakers dozen and as soon as my family and I sat down the donuts had vanished almost immediately. The donuts are soft, fluffy, flavorful and have a good amount of sweetness to them. They had chocolate, strawberry, caramel, jelly filled, glazed, sugared, chocolate muffin, croissant sandwiches and many more options to choose from. I couldn't stop myself from getting seconds especially with a side of warm coffee brewed over the counter. What's also nice is that this establishment is opened 24/7 and the customer service is amazing. We were greeted with a welcome and a smile which made us feel at home and comfortable enough to use their self serve refrigerators and coffee bar. I picked the cinnamon sugar doughnut. The coating was ok but a little thin, a lot of cinnamon fell off because I think they used less frosting. The dough was ok but not the best. At $1.65 a doughnut my expectations are high. The $3.00 coffee was decent but not anything I would look forward to. They don't do top offs or refills. If you want a refill it is $3. The people working there are super nice and the location is kind of clean. Like it was wiped down but it needs a deep clean, clean. Sitting here they get a ton of traffic so they must be good. I grew up in the area coming here since I was a kind. As an adult, I have noticed yucky things and after my last experience, won't be going back. The owner (the guy who works at night) I have witnessed multiple times, scratching his head or itching his nose and then touching things and serving donuts without washing his hands or putting gloves on. If he do blatently ignores those basic sanitation things, I can only imagine how sanitary the baking is. In my opinion these are basic donuts that really aren't that special. with so many other options, the a place that cares about cleanliness. read more
