This was my first time trying this poke spot, and honestly, I was hesitant at first because of the mixed reviews. But I'm so glad I gave it a chance. The poke bowl I ordered was absolutely delicious and totally worth the price. The restaurant is tucked away in the Chick-fil-A parking lot, right next to I Love Teriyaki. It's a small space with limited indoor seating, but it was clean and well-kept, which made a great first impression. Since it was my first visit, I asked the employee if I could sample a few sauces before deciding, and he gladly obliged, offering me generous samples to help me find what I liked. That kind of service really stood out and made the experience even better. I went with the large "Build Your Own" poke bowl, which comes with 5 scoops of protein for $16.99--a great deal. For my base, I picked white rice. For protein, I chose a mix of ahi tuna, salmon, and shrimp, which were the only non-marinated protein options available. You also get to pick six mix-ins. I went with cucumbers, pineapple, crab salad, masago, green onion, and seaweed salad. Additional toppings are $1 each, so I added ginger, and avocado for $1.50. They also include your choice of dry toppings at no extra charge. I picked furikake and crispy fried onions. With tax, my total came out to $21.19, which felt like a steal compared to other local spots. For example, my old go-to charges $18.50 for just 3 scoops and adds extra fees for crab salad, which this place includes in the base price. For sauce, I ended up going with the honey avocado blend and a drizzle of teriyaki. The final bowl was bursting with flavor: fresh, well-balanced, and delicious in every bite. It was a generous portion, too, and definitely enough to share. As much as I love poke, I couldn't even finish it. This is officially my new go-to for poke. Next time, I'll be trying one of their boba drinks. I saw another customer with one, and it looked amazing. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing boba! We are from out of town and stopped here after eating. The passion mango green tea with boba was so good. Probably the best ever and I'm a boba snob lol. The place is clean and the staff is nice. Highly recommend whether you live near by or are just in the neighborhood.

Got to be one of the worst Poke places I've ever had. They should remodel to something else. I've given it a few chances because I love poke. There are annoying signs everywhere limiting things and charging more for extra toppings which is terrible and turns customers away - just put less of each in the bowl instead. The best poke places are generous in toppings, and make the customer feel special. Some of the fish is slimy and smells. The rice is soggy. The pineapple and cucumber pieces are too chunky and the sauces aren't that great and don't work well with the bowl for overall flavoring. This recent time I couldn't eat the bowl and threw it away, so no more giving this place another chance even though I wanted it to be good. Sorry.

    Nasty!

Gave this place a second chance. I ordered it for my lunch since I am having some boba craving and poke! Disappointed with how nasty the food is and the raw meat is old! I can taste it. I hate leaving negative review but I hope y'all step your game up. I don't even want to come back here anymore. Not fresh, no good and just look at the picture it self. No wonder they gave me so much rice but less of other stuff because it's old No thanks! Not recommending either.

We came in earlier today and it was only one guy working the whole place, making bowls and teas. Idk what his name was but props to him for doing it all by himself. The vegetarian bowl and Thai tea were delicious!

"Eating healthy food fills your body with energy and nutrients. Imagine your cells smiling back at you and saying: "Thank you!" ~Karen Salmansohn Poke & Tea!? My two favorite things!! A couple weeks ago my boyfriend and I stopped in for a late dinner. I ordered a Regular Poke Bowl with Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Shrimp, Crab Salad, Seaweed Salad, Cucumber, Edamame, Avocado, Masago, Wasabi Mayo and furikake over white rice. Great value, delicious and flavorful, high five to this bowl! To drink I ordered a Wintermelon Milk Tea. The tea was soo good, a nice toasty flavor and very sweet! It quenched my thirst! I would highly recommend this poke and tea shop, our cashier was both friendly and helpful and they followed current guidelines! Masks were worn by all staff and those who enter and after you write down your order, your poke is made fresh to order and brought out to you, completely sealed and bagged. Suppprt small and local, especially now when they need our business the most!

*This review is for COVID-19 quarantine take out. We were there in July 2020.* We were driving to South Tahoe and we stopped here for lunch. Sacramento/Rancho Cordova is a good stopping point for us since it's about halfway to South Tahoe. It's in a strip mall just a few minutes off highway 50. It's easy to find. It's right next to Five Guys. My husband and son went to get burgers and my daughter and I got poke bowls. When we pulled up to this place, my family recognized it right away. They have been here once before on their drive to South Tahoe. My first time here and we loved our lunch! They are using many safety cautions - every staff was wearing masks and gloves, you put your order on a sheet and pass it to them, there are baskets of sanitized pens and used pens, etc. And then you exit the door you came in through and go to the pick up area which is accessed by different door on the other side. I've included a picture on the pick up side. We both liked our poke bowls. We got exactly what we ordered and it was fresh and delicious. Would definitely come back here!

Literally the only poki place that I'll drive 30 mins to. The food is amazing and you get to choose how it's made with a checklist they give you. Unlike other poke, this restaurant charges them for less than $20 and isnt super bitter and gives a generous amount every time. I love how friendly and quick the service is. And I especially love their fruity tea as its not too sweet and the jelly is nicely delectable. The place is built like a chill cafe, with a strong AC and lots of seating.

We were served by who we assume was the owner, but unfortunately the interaction wasn't very welcoming. The overall attitude felt off-putting, as if he didn't really want to serve us. Sadly, I have to agree with other recent reviews mentioning unfriendly service. I ordered the three hand rolls (salmon, California, and spicy tuna), and my husband ordered a large poke bowl with tuna and salmon to go. I wouldn't order the hand rolls again--the rolls were about 80% rice and very light on fish. When the California roll ends up being the best one, that's usually a red flag. The poke bowl, however, met expectations, and the quality of the fish was satisfactory. Overall, I'm not sure I would recommend this spot. The service left a bad impression, and the prices felt high for the portion sizes. Parking: Large shared lot with multiple businesses; should be no problem finding parking.

I have been to other poki places and nothing compares to the freshness, the flavor... and THE PRICE! I am always satisfied with the flavor and I am so happy that after getting a large bowl (5 scoops of protein!) I have enough to make 2 meals out of it! I always go with their fresh salmon (there is tuna and scallops available as well), but let's start with the base... I have them put in some spring mix in the togo container and then cover that with some white rice. Brown rice is an option as well. Next, you pick your protein. In a separate bowl, they put your protein into it and you have your choice of success they can toss it in. I like a sweet and savory, with some spicy, so I go with sweet and spicy mayo, salty sesame shoyou, sometimes sweet unagi, and definitely add sesame and chili oil... what can I say, I am a saucy girl! Then they put that tossed fresh fish over the base. Then you pick your toppings. There is a soft boiled egg, cucumber, pineapple, crab mix, seaweed salad, kimchee, masago (they also have spicy), jalapenos, green onions, and so many more choices. To top it off, you can add the chili oil, soy sauce, furkake, and crispy wontons. For measly $22 and change your got an easy 2 meals. Please, don't forget to leave a tip! I like to sit inside and eat half here. They are always working hard with online orders and customers walking in. I like to use the chopsticks, but I also get a togo fork as well in case my daughter eats my other half (highly likely!) The biggest reason for this review is that this is the best price around. The best fresh flavor around! If you guys like poki bowls, I absolutely encourage you to come to Chaodown Poki and I promise you'll be a fan, too! There is teriyaki chicken here as well if you aren't down with the fresh taste of fish!
