Second times a charm! Came here a few years ago and was not impressed , like at all, so never came back since. I happened to be running errands nearby with my last stop being at Ben's Barketplace next door to here. So thought I'd try it out again . Glad I did. The fish quality was a lot better than I remembered. And got a large portion, this guy gave some hefty scoops which I appreciated. Inside is cozy, clean. Service was ok. Not super friendly but not rude either so that works out for me. Definitely will come back again now

I found this spot on Yelp and the name made me laugh! We were in the area and hungry for lunch so we came in and so glad we did. Chaodown has lots of great protein selections. I got the regular bowl that has two scoops - and they were big scoops. I went with the Chaodown mix - which is marinated tuna and salmon, plus yellowtail. The yellowtail was low so she added fresh yellow tail to mine. I did half salad mix and half brown rice. Lots of great toppings and sauces too. I went with the spicy sweet mayo and the wasabi cream - Wasabi cream was really spicy - I sneezed after my first bite -but I thought it gave it a nice kick. My husband had the XL and it was enormous. Five scoops of protein! Personally regular was plenty for me. I thought all the fish looked really fresh and loved all the topping choices. Plus the bowls were really reasonably priced compared to others we've visited. They also have lots of drinks, mochis and other desserts. I treated myself to a fish ice cream with matcha - one of my favorite desserts. So good. It's a family owned place and has a great friendly vibe and plenty of seats for a quick lunch. Definitely recommended!

We were in the area and were craving some poke! This place had great reviews so we decided to give them a try! Boy, we were so glad we did!! They had extremely fresh ingredients and huge portions!! Look at how packed my bowl was! I was so happy that they had a vegetarian bowl option with reasonable price since I have a hard time justifying having to pay regular prices for tofu and not seafood. They literally had all my favorite toppings plus more! My only complaint is I wished I asked for extra sauce in my bowl! This place is so worth your money and I will definitely be back again!!

Poke Bowl with 2 scoops of protein and all the toppings

My friend and I came here after a trip to the Galleria on a Saturday afternoon around 4 PM. We were craving poke and found this spot on Yelp. Since we weren't super hungry, we decided to share one poke bowl with two scoops of protein. It was around $15, and honestly, for what we got, it was so worth it. We asked for three scoops of salmon and basically all the available toppings. We ended up with a mountain of food--partly because we chose salad greens as our base, and they really don't skimp. I can't remember the exact sauce we chose, but it was a soy-yuzu mix, and it paired perfectly with everything. The staff member helping us was incredibly sweet. My friend doesn't like jalapeño or pineapple, but I do, so she put those in a separate bowl so we could split everything easily once we sat down. Which was a thoughtful touch. Everything tasted fresh--the toppings, the greens, and especially the fish. The interior also has plenty of seating, and it's a nice space to sit and enjoy your bowl, which we did. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone in the area and will definitely be back whenever we're in Roseville.

Upset. I went out in the pouring rain to pick up my order and I am again disappointed with the pre-order. I placed online through grubbhub and I'm missing items that I did request as topping in my bowl. As the screenshots show I requested an egg and crab salad and found neither in my order. I'm giving h them a 1 star because I hope they can somehow compensate. This is not the first time this has happened however it is the second consecutive time this has happened I love it here and I am really disappointed because I was really excited for lunch. I hope to hear back from the shop because I have spent a lot of money here and have recommended it to a lot of people. Also ordered raw salmon and I got cooked and none of my sauces

Chaodown Poki serves up made-to-order bowls with a generous amount of fixings! I stopped by on Sunday afternoon, and there was no wait. Service was fast, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I choose to take my order home, but there's seating inside if you prefer to dine in. The store is well kept and clean. When I got home, I was excited to dig in. I ordered a regular bowl (half white rice and half spring mix) with tuna and yellow tail as my proteins, three sauces, and too many toppings. My stand out toppings were the kimchi and crushed peanuts. Surprisingly, avocado wasn't an option; however, I still enjoyed my bowl without it. The fish was separated out so that I could mix it in to my liking. Overall, Chaodown satisfied my poke craving!

    Shrimp with vein

I was really looking forward to this poke bowl- sadly I ended up not eating much of it. I ordered from this poke restaurant this past Saturday, and was excited about how many options they had for toppings and sauces. When I went to eat my bowl after I had gotten home, I realized that the shrimp were not de-veined. Not just one, but ALL of them. You'd think that a poke restaurant would know to de-vein the shrimp, but apparently not.

I've seen this store raise their prices, 2 times that I've noticed within the last 2 years. What was known as a good value meal, because of huge portions is now known to skimp on the chicken katsu while raising their prices yet again. $15+ for a regular Chicken katsu. Just a few years ago I could get 2 for $24. Understandable that everything has gone up since, but does the quantity have to suffer too. This particular store no longer offers good value. And one sauce? Are you kidding!? One sauce? $15 plate? As an FYI other branches offer more chicken for less the price. What L&L is supposedly about: "L&L Hawaiian Barbecue centers its mission on serving authentic, high-volume Hawaiian plate lunches, focusing on affordability, speed, and generous portions--famously two scoops of rice and macaroni salad. The restaurant caters to hearty appetites with large, shareable meals while offering "mini" options for smaller portions, often described as a "taste of Aloha".

She happily walked in saying "Aloha" and asked the woman working there if she could tell her her Hawaiian middle name, Kamanaolaikaʻiliokamoana. It was a sweet moment, and everything seemed to be off to a good start. We ordered our food, waited, and then sat down to eat. While we were eating, my 4-year-old accidentally dropped one of her chopsticks. I told her it was okay and encouraged her to politely ask for another one. My oldest daughter went with her to help. When they asked for a replacement chopstick, the woman told them, "No, they are not a toy." I explained that my daughter is only 4 years old and had accidentally dropped one of her chopsticks. Instead of showing any understanding, she refused and became extremely rude. After I questioned why she wouldn't replace a single chopstick for a young child, she finally handed one over. By that point, both of my daughters were upset. Neither of them wanted to continue eating or stay in the restaurant, so we decided to leave. As we got up, the woman began yelling not only at me but also at my children. I told her this was ridiculous--that my 4-year-old had simply made an accident by dropping one chopstick. She then claimed she owned the restaurant, said her name was on the bill of sale, and told me that my children and I were no longer welcome there. After leaving, I called L&L Hawaiian BBQ's corporate office to file a complaint. The representative was kind and explained that the locations are individually owned. She told me the owner of this location is a man and that she would contact him regarding my complaint. I have never been treated so poorly over something as minor as a 4-year-old accidentally dropping a single chopstick. What upset me the most was the way this woman spoke to my children. There was absolutely no reason to raise your voice at them or make them feel unwelcome over an honest mistake. We will never return to this location. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect, especially families with young children.

The chicken dishes are flavorful & succulent, the pork is soft & moist, the katsu has good thickness/coating/texture, & the beef is flavorful & tender. The mac salad is spot on for me. The crunchy salad is shaved cabbage & carrots with a tangy dressing. The sauces are great too! The creamy garlic once came as a sub for spicy mayo for the katsu, the other katsu sauce is unique with a thinner consistency & hint of sweetness (versus being thick with prominent Worcestershire flavor). I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.
