I always crave Chaodown Poki! I'm thinking I need to be here at least once a week! I was just in here the other day and thinking... I have been to other poki places and nothing compares to the freshness, the flavor... and THE PRICE! I am always satisfied with the flavor and I am so happy that after getting a large bowl (5 scoops of protein!) I have enough to make 2 meals out of it! I always go with their fresh salmon (there is tuna and scallops available as well), but let's start with the base... I have them put in some spring mix in the togo container and then cover that with some white rice. Brown rice is an option as well. Next, you pick your protein. In a separate bowl, they put your protein into it and you have your choice of success they can toss it in. I like a sweet and savory, with some spicy, so I go with sweet and spicy mayo, salty sesame shoyou, sometimes sweet unagi, and definitely add sesame and chili oil... what can I say, I am a saucy girl! Then they put that tossed fresh fish over the base. Then you pick your toppings. There is a soft boiled egg, cucumber, pineapple, crab mix, seaweed salad, kimchee, masago (they also have spicy), jalapenos, green onions, and so many more choices. To top it off, you can add the chili oil, soy sauce, furkake, and crispy wontons. For measly $22 and change your got an easy 2 meals. Please, don't forget to leave a tip! I like to sit inside and eat half here. They are always working hard with online orders and customers walking in. I like to use the chopsticks, but I also get a togo fork as well in case my daughter eats my other half (highly likely!) The biggest reason for this review is that this is the best price around. The best fresh flavor around! If you guys like poki bowls, I absolutely encourage you to come to Chaodown Poki and I promise you'll be a fan, too! Great spot when you're craving poke in the area! Parking is easy in the plaza, and service is quick and friendly. The store was empty when we arrived at 1 PM on a Saturday. The place had a casual and easygoing vibe to it. We ordered a large bowl to split, but honestly they loaded it up with rice and a bit less fish than expected, so it felt a little light on protein for the size. Still, the salmon and yellowtail were solid and flavorful, and I really liked that they have chili oil as a topping to add some heat. Overall, it's a good option to satisfy your poke craving. I happened to be running errands nearby with my last stop being at Ben's Barketplace next door to here. So thought I'd try it out again . Glad I did. Came here after noticing the good reviews. I got a small bowl and the portions were GIANT! They loaded it up with tons of toppings. Fish was pretty good too. Parking was easy and service was quick. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the sauce. It didn't taste super...authentic? Or maybe I wasn't a big fan of the sauce I got (forgot the name). I found this spot on Yelp and the name made me laugh! We were in the area and hungry for lunch so we came in and so glad we did. Chaodown has lots of great protein selections. I got the regular bowl that has two scoops - and they were big scoops. I went with the Chaodown mix - which is marinated tuna and salmon, plus yellowtail. The yellowtail was low so she added fresh yellow tail to mine. I did half salad mix and half brown rice. Lots of great toppings and sauces too. I went with the spicy sweet mayo and the wasabi cream - Wasabi cream was really spicy - I sneezed after my first bite -but I thought it gave it a nice kick. My husband had the XL and it was enormous. Five scoops of protein! Personally regular was plenty for me. I thought all the fish looked really fresh and loved all the topping choices. Plus the bowls were really reasonably priced compared to others we've visited. They also have lots of drinks, mochis and other desserts. We were in the area and were craving some poke! This place had great reviews so we decided to give them a try! Boy, we were so glad we did!! They had extremely fresh ingredients and huge portions!! Look at how packed my bowl was! I was so happy that they had a vegetarian bowl option with reasonable price since I have a hard time justifying having to pay regular prices for tofu and not seafood. My friend and I came here after a trip to the Galleria on a Saturday afternoon around 4 PM. We were craving poke and found this spot on Yelp. Since we weren't super hungry, we decided to share one poke bowl with two scoops of protein. It was around $15, and honestly, for what we got, it was so worth it. We asked for three scoops of salmon and basically all the available toppings. We ended up with a mountain of food--partly because we chose salad greens as our base, and they really don't skimp. I can't remember the exact sauce we chose, but it was a soy-yuzu mix, and it paired perfectly with everything. The staff member helping us was incredibly sweet. My friend doesn't like jalapeño or pineapple, but I do, so she put those in a separate bowl so we could split everything easily once we sat down. Which was a thoughtful touch. Compared to other poke places which are overpriced here even though it is cheaper the quality of the fish remains great. No worse than some I've eaten on Kauai, where I vacation every year. Salad greens are crispy fresh. The spicy tuna mash tastes like the stuff I get in Hawaii. The shrimp tempura is some kinda batter that's shaped into a cylinder, breaded and fried. For the same price as a McDonalds combo burger meal you can eat something here that's much healthier, more tasty and will set in your stomach much more peacefully.
