It felt like I had not had sushi in over a year, so I decided to try Ichiban since it was close by and highly rated on Yelp. From the outside, all the windows were blacked out, which was unusual because you cannot see inside. Once we walked in, the layout was typical for a sushi spot with a bar and a few tables. We were seated quickly and given menus to look over. There were plenty of options, although I did notice they did not have any rolls with eel, which is something I usually enjoy. We ordered two rolls and they came out quickly. The flavor was great, the portions were decent, and everything tasted fresh, though I did feel the prices could have been a bit lower. Overall, Ichiban is a solid choice if you are craving sushi.

My husband ordered a bento box with chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, and California rolls.  The California rolls were good.  However, he said the teriyaki and katsu were just okay and definitely not worth $25.95.

I am a fan! We ordered the cherry blossom roll, the orange blossom roll, and the samurai. All tasted amazing and were presented beautifully. I couldn't have picked a better restaurant to have my first real postpartum meal! The orange blossom roll was so simple yet so flavorful! We loved the sauce that was drizzled on it and the samurai was a fun choice we had never had before with a delicious kick from the fresh jalapeños. If you like spicy, if highly recommend this! And the cherry blossom roll is our go-to and the reason we picked this restaurant to begin with and it didn't disappoint!

I'm updating to 5 stars even though I haven't been back mostly due to responsible spending. But I always think of the sesame chicken here when I want sesame chicken!

We visited Ichiban Sushi on July 16th 2025 and placed an order to go. The food was ready within 20 minutes which is regular time. Lobby was clean and customer service was fine. Only when we arrived home I found how much condiment they put in the bag for our order where at least 5 positions required soy sauce/wasabi/ginger. When the waitress was handing the bad to me I literally asked if they put soy sauce and ginger, well she said yes and we went home happy and excited to try this food. Thank ME that my last grocery shopping included soy sauce and I had some pickled ginger at home. The last I would wanted to do is going to the store and having my sushi get older. Next thing which just ruined everything, completely everything - is "beef yakisoba". It was just impossible to eat, the meat was so bad, not fresh at all and obviously the person who tried to eat it got food poisoning! The whole container went to the trash. The squid in "IKA" was rubbery like a shoe sole. Went in the trash as well. But at least I did not get a food poisoning. I insist manager or owner to contact me regarding all the issues we had with such experience. In conclusion I just wanna say that the only items I recommend are 49ers and orange blossom. Classic but delicious and fresh

Great tasting sushi! loved my roll. I got very full eating here and only had to order 1 roll. Never had that happen before. Quality is great. Miso tasted good, not too salty. The interior is very small. Service is very kind and works hard.

We went here twice so far and found them to be pretty good. The service was great the last time we came as well. The Lion King roll was good. The Bento boxes are enjoyable. The place was clean and had a good overall smell, which is a big thing for me. The bathrooms were nice. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because the first time we came about a year ago the service was different. This most recent time was much better though. I would certainly recommend them.

A tiny unassuming restaurant. The interior is a bit dark. The few times that I dined in, I only saw the same lone server. She was great though... friendly, efficient, and attentive. Food is good. We normally go for the bento box. My fave here is the sesame chicken. It is delicious!

SOOOOOOoooooooo GOOD! Always! I sometimes don't know what's better - the food or the service. We have been eating here consistently since 2019. The food is ALWAYS fast, fresh, hot, consistently good, and perfectly proportioned and appropriately priced. Ernee (short for Ernestine) is magic!!! I don't know how she remembers every order we place without writing anything down, but she does. Every - single - time! And although we only eat here about once a month, she always greets us with the WARMEST of hellos and a "do you want your usual?" I feel like we are eating in her home more than we are a public establishment. There isn't anything on this menu we haven't tried now. The spicy edamame is really special - do not miss out on this! I always forget to take pictures because the food is so good, it's not until halfway through the meal (and clearly not Yelp picture worthy). This charming sushi restaurant may be small, but don't let that detour you if there isn't an immediate place to sit. Their service is so fast and so good, your wait won't be long - and trust me, it's worth it! Thank you Ichiban for being OUR sushi place!

My favorite sushi spot in the area! Every visit is an awesome experience with friendly staff, a clean atmosphere, & most importantly... Sushi, Bentos, Drinks & Deserts that never fail to impress. Mahalo Ichiban for the continued consistency & the extra close attention to detail from the dining-in experience to the execution of dishes. Always a pleasure Ichiban! Looking forward to my next visit.

Both Udon Noodles that my nieces chose had excellent broth and the kitchen did not skimp on the toppings. Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. Overall, we had a great experience at Azayaka Japanese Fusion. The food was delicious, the service was warm, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.

First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

The presentation was nice and everything looked fresh, but the overall experience was pretty underwhelming for the price. We ordered the Rainbow Roll and they forgot the onions, which was disappointing since it's a basic component of the roll, had avocado and a crab stick wrapped inside and it was just very off. Flavor wise, most of the rolls were very bland and lacked complexity. A lot of the menu feels repetitive, like the same ingredients are just rearranged into different rolls without much creativity. I was especially looking forward to something with hamachi, but they didn't have any options on the menu. I asked for a custom roll, and while they were able to make one, it was just okay and didn't stand out. For the price point, I expected more depth of flavor and more unique combinations. First off, PK Sushi is a family-owned gem, and you can feel that the moment you walk in. The vibe is casual, welcoming, and perfect for family dining--but it's also polished enough that we've happily chosen it for date nights too. Whether you're rolling in with a small group or hosting a very large party, they somehow make it all feel effortless. The staff and owners are truly amazing. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind--they remember you, take care of you, and make you feel like more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is rare and it keeps us coming back. Now let's talk about the food--because wow. Our go-to favorites (and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of these): * BBQ Albacore - That sauce is absolutely insane. We crave it. * Monkey Eyes - Always a must-order. * Rainbow Roll - Fresh, balanced, and beautifully done. * PK Roll - A house classic for a reason. * Thomas Train - Fun, flavorful, and memorable. * Ninja Roll - A straight 10/10, no notes. If I had to make one complaint--and this is really reaching--it's that they aren't open for lunch on Mondays. That's it. That's the only downside. PK Sushi nails the trifecta: great food, incredible service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's the kind of place you recommend confidently and bring people you care about. We're proud to call ourselves regulars and will happily keep coming back. I love that they know my daughter's order, but they still help us find new menu items each trip. The cucumber salad was very good, the edamane looked like they had been frozen then defrosted and served, and the stuffed jalapeños tasted off, we ate them, 4 total.
