Went here on a brunch our Sunday. There was just one to two customers other than us. I was satisfied my Japanese cravings. One person might need a bento box order plus other orders to make yourself full. In that case dollar sign gets higher because you need to order more food than just one order. But, otherwise, everything is appetizing. Staff was friendly and kept on checking on us.clean restroom. Moderate noise overall.

I've seen a lot of places a come and go from this awkward corner of Taylor and E Roseville, and I'm glad Akame has landed. I've visited a few times in the past year for AYCE, and I've always had kind and timely service from the staff here. I typically order a bunch of hand rolls and 1-2 speciality rolls right away, and they have always come out so quickly - sometimes even before staff has had time to drop my hot tea off. They give me plenty of time to enjoy before returning to order more, and the swoop by so quickly to clear plates. The fish has always tasted fresh, no off smells, and the cuts are generous. I honestly can't get enough of the hand rolls, and have gone down the course A menu trying each one - I always come back to the tuna one, as it's a classic. Akame also does full 8 piece rolls, which is a lot so I don't always go for them. As a spice and tuna fan, the Akame and red flags are ones I'd return to. Haven't tried much of the prepared food, but I like to finish off my meal with miso soup, which you really can't go wrong. There's always tons of TVs playing movies and sports, and I appreciate that tables are spaced out so I'm never on top of the next diners.

I hope this place stays for the long run, because I've seen so many different names on the building that Akame is housed in. The restaurant is spacious when you walk in and we were seated right away. The staff were super attentive to our orders and the food came out pretty fast. The price point was not too expensive and the amount you receive is a good proportion. For the limited items, try them because you might as well since you are paying for it and with that said it was the first time I tried Uni and it wasn't bad at all. We utilized getting the sashimi an each piece was fresh and delicious. I would suggest a thinner cut on the sashimi next time but overall the food was good and we didn't feel stuffed after spending an hour ordering rounds after rounds. This is our go to spot now for AYCE sushi. Update: the Limited items for the Uni is one piece per person, when i went it was 2 pieces per person

I've been here several times now and can say it's worth it. There aren't many sushi buffets in sac that serve decent sushi. This is a bit of a drive for me since I live in Sacramento, but I'll go out of my way to come here if we're craving sushi. We usually go with option "B" for the all you can eat since I don't eat a lot of the additional items from option "C". I really like the hibachi steak, the cream cheese wontons and the Habachi Kama. All the sushi dishes are good also. I like the yellowtail. The habachi kama is a must try. For the sushi rolls, they are good, but I feel like the portion of rice is more than at other sushi places. It makes you full faster. So I limit my sushi roll orders. You also get your choice of different flavored and different types of ice cream. Service is great too. The servers checked in is and refilled our drinks. They also make great great recommendations. The restaurant itself is nice and can take large crowds. Parking lot is laid out weird, but there is decent parking. Akame and it's sushi are on my list of 2 decent all you can eat sushi. Both are similarly good to me.

Maybe 3.5 stars. We drive by this location multiple times in a week and have talked about stopping by to check it out. We had been to the previous establishment that was at this location, Maneki, but weren't too impressed by it. Decided to stop by on a weekday, to avoid any potential weekend crowds. When we first entered, we noticed they had kept the Maneki cat artwork on the wall that the previous establishment had displayed. Seemed fitting, since it was a Japanese restaurant. No one was at the host stand so we stood around awkwardly while wondering if we were supposed to seat ourselves or what. No friendly call-out from the sushi chefs that we're used to at other locations either. Finally a server who was standing at a table noticed us and walked over to us slowly. No apology for the delay, no friendly greeting, nothing, just a question of how many. Walked us to a roomy booth, which looked promising until I realized it smelled like a wet mildewy rag must have been used to wipe the table. Tried to find a sanitizing wipe to clean the table again, to get rid of the smell. Ice water was dropped off at our table in cups that did not look very clean. The plates did not seem very clean either. I stopped by the restroom and while walking back to the table was a little concerned about the cleanliness of the restaurant. I don't know what it was, maybe something I noticed subconsciously that made me feel like they don't put a lot of emphasis in deep cleaning. The sound of the servers' Crocs-type shoes keep catching my attention and my gaze going to the floor, noticing discarded chopstick wrappers. Menu was vast. Definitely a good place to go if you like variety. Price didn't seem bad. Taste was just ok. Felt like they add salt or something to their sushi rice, which was odd. Either use plain sushi rice or add the vinegar mix. But not salt. Unless they're trying to sell customers more drinks? It wasn't bad, I guess, for an AYCE sushi place but I think I prefer the taste and feel at other establishments like Its Sushi or even just a Japanese restaurant where you pay for each item. But I'm glad we got to try it and check it off our list.

Came here for dinner on Friday night around 7pm. The restaurant itself is super spacious with a nice open layout, and you can see the sushi chefs working right in the middle which was cool. However, when we first walked in, there wasn't anyone at the host stand to greet us. The chefs noticed us but didn't say anything, so we ended up waiting a few minutes until a server came over to seat us. Once seated, you scan the QR code for the menu. They offer three different AYCE options, and we chose Course C ($46.99). The selection is pretty impressive that includes appetizers, soups, stir fry, sushi rolls, hand rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and even desserts like ice cream. They also hand you a separate drinks menu with milk tea, Thai tea, and other options (those aren't included in AYCE). I did like that they give you a pitcher of water in a hydro flask style container to keep it cold! Service wise, it could've been better. Our server wasn't very attentive and we had to wave her down a few times just to order another round. The food itself, though, was good. Fresh and flavorful! My favorite was definitely the pepper fin salad, it had the perfect balance of spice and citrus. Overall, not a bad spot for the price with plenty of options to choose from. Just wish the service matched the quality of the food.

on their website, it specifically says call for any requests when placing an order. i ordered a lucky 7 which is my to go to roll & a golden gate & specifically asked for the salmon to be cooked because i'm pregnant. this fish is still raw & now i can't eat the sushi. i don't understand why they can't just cook the fish & accommodate such an easy request.

Nigiri - salmon, yellowtail, octopus, escolar, garlic salmon

I came to Akame Sushi in Roseville for AYCE sushi and had a pretty good experience. We came for dinner on a Monday and there was no wait for a table. The front door is oddly located, all the way around on the other side from the parking lot. There are 3 options of AYCE to choose from. The first, A, is $27.99 and includes rolls, hand rolls, and appetizers. The second tier, B, includes nigiri and is $36.99. The top tier, C, includes sashimi and is $46.99. We opted for option B. We tried the salmon, yellowtail, octopus, walu, garlic salmon, and garlic yellowtail. I liked all of the fish, but the salmon and yellowtail best. The fish was fresh and delicious. The garlic versions were really good too. The hamachi kama was really good. The grilled oysters were okay. I enjoyed the soft shell crab and sesame balls. I tried some of the udon, which was good. The ice cream desserts were just so so. The salmon tacos (salmon kingdom) were so good! Salmon, rice, avocado, and ikura on crispy nori. I really enjoyed that one. Our server was very nice and came to take orders every so often. She forgot to bring one or two items, but we were full by the end. The restaurant was cool and had large booths to dine in. Akame is great for all you can eat sushi.

This place is great! We did the all you can eat was a great deal and experience. The rolls were all so good, we also ordered some jalapeño poppers which are so delicious. Service was also on point! Don't pass this place up!

Came here for AYCE on a weekday and was surprised how busy it got for a Monday! Our server was super helpful, bummed that I didn't catch his name to give him credit! We had Course B so that we could try the tacos and nigiri. We pretty much ordered everything we wanted in the first round so we didn't need much afterward except for a couple things! The salmon lava roll was cute and shaped like a heart but I wasn't a fan of the spicy salmon texture. The lemon salmon roll was a little underwhelming, needed way more lemon. The Mr. Krabs was our favorite of the specialty rolls because of the torched salmon and overall it had the most flavor. Overall appreciated that these specialty rolls didn't have too much rice. The nigiri was all pretty decent but wish they would include pickled wasabi in their AYCE price!! The best nigiri were actually the garlic ones, again they had the most flavor. I enjoyed the tacos the most - the Salmon Kingdom slightly more than the Salmon Lover Taco. The texture from the crispy nori was the best part! Loved my ube mochi to end the meal! Overall it wasn't a bad experience but also wasn't the best AYCE either, so the 3 stars reflects an average experience. There are so many AYCE sushi places now in Sacramento so any new ones are going to have to do something to stand out in order for me to want to come back!

U see the taco.

We got seated right away. A waiter came by and took our order right away too. We did get our food, but it came out one by one, and the drinks we ordered, like hot tea and the extra items we requested, took a while. No one really checked on us to see if we needed anything else. A lot of the time, I had to wave someone down. It just so happened that when a waiter was serving food to a table nearby, that was the only time I could get someone's attention to ask for service. We got the Blue All-You-Can-Eat option. I ordered quite a few raw specialty rolls, and some of them had good flavor. The taco was good too. This was my first time here, and I thought their portions would be small, but they were actually big. They don't limit how much you can order, which is nice. I'm not sure if they offer half rolls, but I would definitely do that. The miso soup comes in a bigger cup, not the usual small one, so if you're coming with a partner, you can just get one and share. I'm not sure if I would come back. I'd rather go to Shabu Hot Pot in Elk Grove to get my sashimi or sushi fix along with hot pot. The service here was just lacking, and it sounds like other people on here are complaining about the same thing.

Automatically taking in the ambience of the restaurant, it felt really clean and has a nice dim light that makes the dining experience feel private. The service was very attentive and they'll do a temperature check on how the food is with you after you receive your meal and they were all genuinely very friendly. 10/10 for the service, no doubt. For food, we ordered their "Fukumi Ramen" and their chicken karaage . Chicken karaage came out first and was freshly fried. The coating was amazingly light and the chicken itself was flavorful. It comes served with a lemon wedge and tiny pieces of salad and the dressing in the salad was delicious! For the Fukumi Ramen bowl itself, the initial taste of the broth was flavorful and the black garlic oil was a nice touch. You'll immediately notice how thickkkk their chasu slices are and I think the free order of extra noodles is a nice plus. However, the thin noodles served with the Fukumi Ramen bowl seemed like a lighter color than I normally see at ramen places and the noodles were overcooked so I feel like it obscured the overall taste of the ramen itself since ramen noodles make up so much of the bite. Even though the extra noodles were free and a nice complimentary addition, I feel like I could tell why because the ramen noodles lacked the quality the rest of the bowl had. The tamago egg was decent and I was surprised because it looked like a plain white boiled egg rather than the traditional brown seasoned egg you get in ramen. Overall, I think Fukumi Ramen can do the job of satisfying a cold rainy day, and I think with their wide variety of ramen options, you'll definitely have to try and find one that might hit for you! Portions are huge here too so it might take a couple visits to try more options!
