I was in Roseville for a basketball tournament and I have been wanting to try sushi at this establishment. Ambiance It is located in a strip mall, it is dated. It has a sushi carousel turning however there was no food on it. This place has been here for a long time. Customer Service It was excellent waiter shared some of the popular favorites. Sushi Chef's Choice 7 sushi 4 pieces Rockin Roll The sushi was nigiri with tuna, salmon and yellowtail. The sushi had generous portions and was delicious. The Rockin Roll very good. Spicy Steve Roll This was a piece of art and massive. So good. Will return and will experience Dancing Unagi Roll and Godzilla Roll

It is official. Yours truly is a cooked Sushi Junkie. And this place has a section with a whole lot of choices in it. I chose the Tiger Roll. And I was glad I did. Inside the roll was yummy shrimp tempura and imitation crab mix. Outside the roll was cooked eel, what is called in Japanese as Unagi. I like the taste of eel. It tasted delicious with soy sauce on it. Of course like most sushi rolls it was topped with vibrant orange colored Tobiko for crunchy taste. They had spiked up the presentation by add in shredded imitation crab on top. The service was polite and professional. It is definitely a tidy place for a quick lunch. It will be unfair if I take the cucumber salad for granted. The toasted black and white sesame seeds spiked up the taste and were tantalizing to the taste buds

Really wanted to like this place but every item was a disappointment, heavily sauced and poorly prepared.

We got invited for a kid's birthday party. It holds almost 50 people and 18 of them are kids. Kids are happy with full stomach. "Yummy in my tummy!" Great location near mall and Costco. Reasonable price and great quality of raw fish. We like the Hamichi. My kids have stirred fry noodles and fried rice. The host told me they don't usually host a party but they made an exception. Enjoy!

Ordered the poki bowl and it was fabulous! I didn't come close to being able to finish it because of the generous serving. Service was extremely attentive. Would definitely come back here.

Got invited to a cute private party at Izumi! Great service, friendly staff, great food quality! Everyone left with a happy tummy filled with Gyoza, Edamame, Chicken Teriyaki, Rainbow Roll, Tiger Roll, Izumi Roll, Cha-Shu Ramen, Mixed Sashimi, and more!

    Chirashi!!!

I travel for work and usually bring my food on the road with me. I don't after stay in the same hotel two days in a row but I diss this week and I'm soo glad I did. I saw the paper menu in the lobby of the hotel I'm staying in and talked myself into Sushi my last night in town. I called in a pick up order to take to the hotel, Chirashi and Seaweed Salad. Carrying it back to the room I couldn't help but be stocked at the heft of my dinner. The salad was a portion for 2+ and it was perfect. Great mouth feel, cut well, and dressed perfectly. The Chirashi bowl.... OMG!! The fish was fresh and colorful and freaking impressive. The tomago was sweet and perfectly cooked. The size of the sashimi would make Morimoto-San proud! I can't recommend this place enough! I'll stay in the hotel with the sucky internet every time I'm through for work just to give these people my money!! Thank you Izumi staff!!

We were near the mall and wanted to try a different Sushi restaurant than our normal place. We found Izumi Sushi close by with easy parking. They have a small footprint but make good use of their space with bar and table options. We ate a bunch of dishes from Izumi's happy hour which had great pricing for each plate. Everything tasted standard with nothing sticking out. Service was quick and the waiter was friendly. Our tea never ran dry. Room for improvement: * Create unique dishes * Use Sushi grade rice * Use a lighter healthier frying oil * Serve tea in non-plastic cups * Slice sushi rolls a little bit thinner (5 mm) * Acquire high quality sushi that melts in your mouth

Both Udon Noodles that my nieces chose had excellent broth and the kitchen did not skimp on the toppings. The restaurant is a bit dark inside but it's probably to create a more romantic date night vibe. Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. Overall, we had a great experience at Azayaka Japanese Fusion. The food was delicious, the service was warm, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.

First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

The presentation was nice and everything looked fresh, but the overall experience was pretty underwhelming for the price. We ordered the Rainbow Roll and they forgot the onions, which was disappointing since it's a basic component of the roll, had avocado and a crab stick wrapped inside and it was just very off. Flavor wise, most of the rolls were very bland and lacked complexity. A lot of the menu feels repetitive, like the same ingredients are just rearranged into different rolls without much creativity. I was especially looking forward to something with hamachi, but they didn't have any options on the menu. I asked for a custom roll, and while they were able to make one, it was just okay and didn't stand out. For the price point, I expected more depth of flavor and more unique combinations. There are quite a few sushi spots nearby that offer more interesting rolls and better overall value. I'd probably choose places like BF Miyabi, Tang's, or Roku over this next time. Not terrible, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to, when I was eating this, I kept thinking to myself something just tastes off like it's missing something
