Forgot the name of the roll

We stopped by the little gem on our way to Reno and this place was pretty good. We ordered the miso ramen. The kid liked it. The miso flavor she said reminded her of mom's cooking so I guess I'm a pretty good cook. The only thing she didn't care for was the meat. She said she would rather have tofu. My youngest kiddo also slurped the ramen. I ordered a roll but forgot the name. I enjoyed the roll. But the rice was a tad bit hard. But the overall flavor of the roll was good. I like how this place does not drizzle sauce on the roll so you can actually taste the fish. Which did not leave a fishy mess. The hubs ordered the bimbimbap and he was satisfied. I tried it and it was flavorful. Last we ordered a kid's chicken teriyaki. Compared to other places that offer kids meal. This one has less chicken and rice and normally a kids meal at other spots will fill my son's belly but this one he ended up eating some of his sister's ramen. Also ordered a mixed shrimp and veggie tempura plate. Loved the lightness of the salad dressing. The kids loved the tempura batter. Overall this place is cute and worth a try if you are in the area.

    Dragon roll

Very clean, well lit restaurant. Friendly staff and quick service. We ordered the bulgogi bowl and the dragon roll, both were delicious. The dragon design with the sauce on the plate with the dragon roll was a very nice touch. The roll had perfectly balanced flavors, will definitely order again. The bulgogi was very tender and flavorful.

Very welcoming and kind staff. Good order was placed fast. We went 2 adults and 2 kids and everyone was satisfied. Delicious. Happy. And some garlic edamame with calamari. Super yummy. Good music. Definitely coming back.

Beef yaki noodle (takeout close up)

So far this place was really good. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and the beef yaki noodle. I really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki plate. They do however give about 3/4 cup of rice. For how much chicken it has, it seems a little light on the rice. But the chicken was really good and cooked how I had imagined. The Beef Yaki Noodles were alright and were a pretty good chow mein like dish. We'll likely order from here again.

Uggg...I forgot the name, Thai noodles and perfect amount of spiciness!

Amazing, kind, service from the moment we walked in the door! And the food was terrific. Thank you!

Pan Fried Gyoza and Caterpillar Roll

I was in the area running errands and had just picked up a sandwich next door at Jersey Mike's for my husband and saw the Grand Opening sign outside. I love sushi, so I decided this would be my lunch. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a staff member behind the counter, they asked if I was dining in or taking out and when I said it would be to go, she gave me a menu to look over. They do have a menu on the wall, but they offer so many items that the text was a bit too small for me to read. I looked over the menu and decided to keep it simple for this visit and get a Caterpillar Roll ($13.50) and Pan Fried Gyoza ($8.50). I paid and took a seat by the doors to wait. They have a good amount of seating inside and it's open, well lit and has a fun mural on the wall. I was there at about 12:45pm and there was a group eating at the time, but it wasn't crowded. My food didn't take too long and the nice staff person brought my bag to me and wished me a nice day. When I arrived home I was excited to dig in. The Caterpillar roll looked like it may have fallen over during the drive, and the avocado on top looked fresh and bright green. Once I went to pick it up with chopsticks though, I realized it was falling apart and hard to grasp with chopsticks. After taking a bite it seems the rice may have been overcooked, it was a very mushy texture and as I continued eating it the roll turned more into a rice, avocado, unagi mixture in the takeout box. I also noticed that the unagi was not super prevalent in each bite, it was there but definitely smaller pieces. I'm not sure if the Caterpillar roll was a bad choice, if it was an off day, or something else but usually when I order simple rolls it allows the ingredients to shine through and this didn't wow me. The Gyoza was still crispy when I got home and I enjoyed the sweet vinegar sauce that came with them. The outside is a thin wrapper and the inside is a mix of meat and veggies. If I come back I'll try something different from the menu, although previous reviews raved about the sushi. This leads me to think I may have caught them on a bad day. Overall it was OK and the service and atmosphere was great, but there are a lot of local sushi spots and overcooked, mushy rice shouldn't make it out of the kitchen.

This place is absolutely fantastic--some of the best service I've ever experienced at a sushi restaurant. I've visited multiple times, and every time the staff is unbelievably friendly and welcoming. On one occasion, we were even treated to a complimentary appetizer, and every visit feels like we're being welcomed by family! They're fast, helpful, flexible, and the sushi is good. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious. Some of our go-to rolls are the Rocklin Roll, Teriyaki Chicken Roll, and the Lish Roll. We're also big fans of the chicken udon--comforting and flavorful. I tried the chirashi once too, and it was super fresh with great flavor. If you're looking for amazing food and warm, thoughtful service, this spot is worth a visit. I also find the venue clean, and well maintained. You'll leave full and smiling!

Great food, great server, great area, will be back next time with a larger appetite so we can try more! Menu is extensive and much of the other food we saw throughout our stay looks great. Newer place. Chicken fried rice 4.5/5 Pan fried gyoza 5/5

This place caught my attention when I saw the sign leaving Ulta didn't even know it was there and come to find out. It's been open for a while decided to pop in and try it out. We lucked out and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Service was quick. Food was good we got the kids chicken teriyaki. My husband got the Yaki noodles and I got a roll. All of it was very fresh. Large parking lot located next to studio moviegrill

I'm updating because I came back on another day and had the veggie tempura and rainbow roll. Very cool dragon design and tasted great

    Green Dragon Roll

Dragon Ball is out of this world. I will warn you that it is pricey for 3 dragon balls. Green Dragon Roll was good. Has a beautiful presentation. Sauce is very tamed and has a nice sweet aftertaste. Service was VERY quick and incredibly attentive to needs.

Automatically taking in the ambience of the restaurant, it felt really clean and has a nice dim light that makes the dining experience feel private. The service was very attentive and they'll do a temperature check on how the food is with you after you receive your meal and they were all genuinely very friendly. 10/10 for the service, no doubt. For food, we ordered their "Fukumi Ramen" and their chicken karaage . Chicken karaage came out first and was freshly fried. The coating was amazingly light and the chicken itself was flavorful. It comes served with a lemon wedge and tiny pieces of salad and the dressing in the salad was delicious! For the Fukumi Ramen bowl itself, the initial taste of the broth was flavorful and the black garlic oil was a nice touch. You'll immediately notice how thickkkk their chasu slices are and I think the free order of extra noodles is a nice plus. However, the thin noodles served with the Fukumi Ramen bowl seemed like a lighter color than I normally see at ramen places and the noodles were overcooked so I feel like it obscured the overall taste of the ramen itself since ramen noodles make up so much of the bite. Even though the extra noodles were free and a nice complimentary addition, I feel like I could tell why because the ramen noodles lacked the quality the rest of the bowl had. The tamago egg was decent and I was surprised because it looked like a plain white boiled egg rather than the traditional brown seasoned egg you get in ramen. Overall, I think Fukumi Ramen can do the job of satisfying a cold rainy day, and I think with their wide variety of ramen options, you'll definitely have to try and find one that might hit for you! Portions are huge here too so it might take a couple visits to try more options!

So the chaos was kept to a minimum. When it was our turn to dine in, the staff were fast and efficient with bringing a carafe of water and glasses to the table. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes of being seated. I had the black garlic tonkatsu (thin noodles) and my husband had the chicken paitan (thin noodles). The pork broth and the chashu were flavorful and tender. The chicken broth was good with a light creamy layer of flavor. The chicken chashu were nice cuts of white meat. Typically all of the fish is raw and they do a torch on the sauces, they should go back to that. They must have been short on maguro because I barely hit a sliver in my roll, perhaps because I added cream cheese but they charged me to add it so it shouldn't lessen any other ingredients. I also ordered the Inari Bomb which is 4 pieces of crab/cream-cheese stuffed tofu skins dipped/fried with tempura. for some reason they put this on top of a bed of cooked onions, zucchini, and carrots. just ruined it! it picked up the taste of onions and the soft wet veggies made the tempura batter soggy. had to toss that too as I can not stomach onions or zucchini and never would have ordered this if these ingredients were listed on the menu. so disappointing, I just can't risk going back. they need to update the menu to match the description of what you're getting.
