Spicy salmon and tuna roll! The very best! Great service and family friendly. A must have! We keep coming back!

The very best! Delish food, diverse menu, family and kid friendly... we keep coming back for more !!

Forgot the name of the roll

We stopped by the little gem on our way to Reno and this place was pretty good. We ordered the miso ramen. The kid liked it. The miso flavor she said reminded her of mom's cooking so I guess I'm a pretty good cook. The only thing she didn't care for was the meat. She said she would rather have tofu. My youngest kiddo also slurped the ramen. I ordered a roll but forgot the name. I enjoyed the roll. But the rice was a tad bit hard. But the overall flavor of the roll was good. I like how this place does not drizzle sauce on the roll so you can actually taste the fish. Which did not leave a fishy mess. The hubs ordered the bimbimbap and he was satisfied. I tried it and it was flavorful. Last we ordered a kid's chicken teriyaki. Compared to other places that offer kids meal. This one has less chicken and rice and normally a kids meal at other spots will fill my son's belly but this one he ended up eating some of his sister's ramen. Also ordered a mixed shrimp and veggie tempura plate. Loved the lightness of the salad dressing. The kids loved the tempura batter. Overall this place is cute and worth a try if you are in the area.

So far this place was really good. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and the beef yaki noodle. I really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki plate. They do however give about 3/4 cup of rice. For how much chicken it has, it seems a little light on the rice. But the chicken was really good and cooked how I had imagined. The Beef Yaki Noodles were alright and were a pretty good chow mein like dish. We'll likely order from here again.

    Dragon roll

Very clean, well lit restaurant. Friendly staff and quick service. We ordered the bulgogi bowl and the dragon roll, both were delicious. The dragon design with the sauce on the plate with the dragon roll was a very nice touch. The roll had perfectly balanced flavors, will definitely order again. The bulgogi was very tender and flavorful.

Very welcoming and kind staff. Good order was placed fast. We went 2 adults and 2 kids and everyone was satisfied. Delicious. Happy. And some garlic edamame with calamari. Super yummy. Good music. Definitely coming back.

Pan Fried Gyoza and Caterpillar Roll
    Rachel K.

I was in the area running errands and had just picked up a sandwich next door at Jersey Mike's for my husband and saw the Grand Opening sign outside. I love sushi, so I decided this would be my lunch. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a staff member behind the counter, they asked if I was dining in or taking out and when I said it would be to go, she gave me a menu to look over. They do have a menu on the wall, but they offer so many items that the text was a bit too small for me to read. I looked over the menu and decided to keep it simple for this visit and get a Caterpillar Roll ($13.50) and Pan Fried Gyoza ($8.50). I paid and took a seat by the doors to wait. They have a good amount of seating inside and it's open, well lit and has a fun mural on the wall. I was there at about 12:45pm and there was a group eating at the time, but it wasn't crowded. My food didn't take too long and the nice staff person brought my bag to me and wished me a nice day. When I arrived home I was excited to dig in. The Caterpillar roll looked like it may have fallen over during the drive, and the avocado on top looked fresh and bright green. Once I went to pick it up with chopsticks though, I realized it was falling apart and hard to grasp with chopsticks. After taking a bite it seems the rice may have been overcooked, it was a very mushy texture and as I continued eating it the roll turned more into a rice, avocado, unagi mixture in the takeout box. I also noticed that the unagi was not super prevalent in each bite, it was there but definitely smaller pieces. I'm not sure if the Caterpillar roll was a bad choice, if it was an off day, or something else but usually when I order simple rolls it allows the ingredients to shine through and this didn't wow me. The Gyoza was still crispy when I got home and I enjoyed the sweet vinegar sauce that came with them. The outside is a thin wrapper and the inside is a mix of meat and veggies. If I come back I'll try something different from the menu, although previous reviews raved about the sushi. This leads me to think I may have caught them on a bad day. Overall it was OK and the service and atmosphere was great, but there are a lot of local sushi spots and overcooked, mushy rice shouldn't make it out of the kitchen.

This place is absolutely fantastic--some of the best service I've ever experienced at a sushi restaurant. I've visited multiple times, and every time the staff is unbelievably friendly and welcoming. On one occasion, we were even treated to a complimentary appetizer, and every visit feels like we're being welcomed by family! They're fast, helpful, flexible, and the sushi is good. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious. Some of our go-to rolls are the Rocklin Roll, Teriyaki Chicken Roll, and the Lish Roll. We're also big fans of the chicken udon--comforting and flavorful. I tried the chirashi once too, and it was super fresh with great flavor. If you're looking for amazing food and warm, thoughtful service, this spot is worth a visit. I also find the venue clean, and well maintained. You'll leave full and smiling!

Uggg...I forgot the name, Thai noodles and perfect amount of spiciness!

This place caught my attention when I saw the sign leaving Ulta didn't even know it was there and come to find out. It's been open for a while decided to pop in and try it out. We lucked out and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Service was quick. Food was good we got the kids chicken teriyaki. My husband got the Yaki noodles and I got a roll. All of it was very fresh. Whenever I'm near either location I make a point to stop by to enjoy a meal or pick up take out to enjoy at home. While a fresh bowl of ramen in the restaurant is always the best experience, their take-out options are packed well and reheat nicely. I'll often warm up ramen the day after I pick it up and it's such a nice treat to have at home. The Lincoln location has plenty of parking and once you're inside you head up to the kiosks to order for dine in or carry out. Definitely take a look through the menu, they have a variety of ramen options, including soupless ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers. They also have a variety of drinks, and I noticed on my recent visit that this Lincoln location has alcoholic options. My favorite order is their spicy tonkatsu ramen- the broth is so rich, there's a perfect amount of spice, and it hits every mark for me. Honestly, I didn't truly appreciate good ramen until I tried Umami Ramen and now this is the standard that I judge all other ramens by. We also typically order their karaage chicken and I pick up and onigiri or two (the tuna is my favorite). Everything on the menu is great though and I'd recommend trying anything that sounds yummy at the moment. There is plenty of seating and I love that the restaurant is decorated with plenty of fun posters, art, and even figurines to look at. They also have a shopping area for Japanese snacks, toys, drinks, desserts and a claw machine. A pro tip is to check out their specials- when I visited they had a $25 special for a small appetizer, ramen, and drink. It was a great deal! They also have the option to adjust your ramen by leaving off certain items or ordering extras- I usually get extra bamboo shoots for $2 (it's a generous portion of them) and their eggs are AMAZING- if you're a fan it's definitely worth ordering an extra. The staff here is also so kind, if you're having trouble deciding they're happy to help and can ring you up if your prefer ordering with them. They also always make sure I have water when I dine in and pack my to-go orders with such care. I highly recommend both of Umami Ramen's locations and hope they open a third closer to me so I can go all the time. For now, I'm happy to travel though!

The broth here is rich, bold, and packed with flavor...some might find it intense, but for me it's a total chef's kiss. You can choose thick or thin noodles, and I always go for the thick ones because I love that extra bounce. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen because garlic is one of my love languages. My husband went for the Spicy Tonkotsu and was sweating bullets by the end of the meal, but he still cleaned his bowl! The chashu pork was a little dry on this visit, but the broth, noodles, and all the toppings still made for a delicious and satisfying meal. Bonus: They're currently offering FREE gyoza with every ramen order! If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful bowl of ramen, check them out. Just don't question my decision to eat hot soup during a heat wave.

According to one of the nice servers, this business has been running since 2012, or for over a decade, and the food clearly shows this experience. This Chinese restaurant has everything from friendly staff and service to a delicious meal topped with perfectly plated condiments. It is located in the perfect place to not spend seemingly hours looking for parking and includes only a 30-second walk from your car, making it easily accessible. The restaurant was clean, and even fellow customers were friendly, which helped give this restaurant a great homey feel. I loved the atmosphere and pleasant impression and would truly suggest that you pay it a visit. Starting off strong, here are the top five things I loved about Yoshi Ramen and Sushi: The amazing atmosphere, the high quality of the food, the presentation of the meal, the kindness of the servers, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Each of these things blew me out of the water and gave me an overall great experience while eating. To start out, each aspect I took note of seemed better than the last. I started off by thinking the service was really nice, then I got to the actual food, and it seemed even better. This restaurant is also great for family dinners, as it gave me a chance to catch up with my siblings and take a break from my busy schedule. During my visit, the overall experience was wonderful; however, it was a little bit expensive, or around $20 for a bowl of ramen, and the food took a while to arrive. Though a bit pricey, the ramen came with many add-ins, such as egg, seaweed, and meat, making the price worth it. And the long wait was actually exactly what I needed to have good conversations with my family, as I have mentioned before. Once we did receive the food, however, it was worth the wait, and we all chowed down on our delicious, perfectly cooked ramen. This restaurant's hours were also the perfect time for a brunch, lunch, or dinner, giving you the option to have sushi any time and almost every day of the week. From 11:30am to 3pm, this restaurant runs its ramen factory delight before taking a break and then resuming the delicious business from 5pm to 8pm every day except for Wednesday, in which they are off. Moving on to the best part of the restaurant: The actual taste and texture of the food. I ordered the Yoshi Ramen, and after waiting, I was served a beautifully arranged bowl of ramen topped with many different add-ons and ingredients. It had a very mellow and soft texture with a very pleasant and almost sweet aroma. The add-ons were soft from the broth and tasted amazing mixed in with the ramen. The ramen was perfectly cooked and a complete level up from the cup of noodles I am so used to having at home. Overall the food itself was amazing, and I can't wait to go back soon. From the texture and taste of the food to the friendly service, I was so happy with this restaurant. I love ramen, and getting the chance to taste the real deal was a great experience. The calming feel of the restaurant and the attentiveness of the servers made my meal even more enjoyable and led me to believe that Yoshi Ramen and sushi truly do care about their customers. Overall, I was pleased with each aspect of this restaurant and can't wait for my next visit. I recommend this restaurant to all looking for a tasty meal with friendly service and delicious ramen and sushi!

The cucumber salad was very good, the edamane looked like they had been frozen then defrosted and served, and the stuffed jalapeños tasted off, we ate them, 4 total. My wife ordered a spider roll, it had a strong gamy taste like a lower grade fish that was used. My wife tried two pieces, swallowed the first and spit the second into her napkin, to her it was awful. I ordered the Shashimi Regular, that came with a small salad and miso soup, they were both good, I received the shashimi last, long after the spider roll; it was interesting, but the fish was more of a class C instead of a class A. Their prices were class A and the fish didn't meet that expectation. It was an $84.50 meal but didn't meet the expectations of a class A sushi meal. The waitress was very professional and asked us about the meal, we were honest and she took the spider roll off the bill. She offered an other roll but by then my wife was done. My wife declined the offer. The restaurant's ambiance was modern and very nice. I would not recommend eating here to my friends.
