Black garlic tonkatsu ramen $3.90 today only for 1 year anniversary
Kerensa U.

We came here for their 1 year anniversary and enjoyed their $3.90 anniversary ramen special that is good for today only. My black garlic tonkatsu ramen was delish. I liked the broth and the noodles were the perfect thickness and the veggies were the perfect complement. I even liked the pork, it was super lean and flavorful. Normally, I don't eat pork chashu cause it seems too fatty. The service was good, which is saying something cause every table was full with a line almost to the door. I'd come here again to try their other flavors, it was worth the drive. They have a cute display area showcasing snacks and trinkets for sale next to the line while you wait to order and another display area that shows figurines. Parking is in a shared private parking lot.

We had a delightful meal here with our good friend and fellow Yelper Elite, Belinda C. who suggested it. The restaurant had a two day event to have Ramen with Wagyu beef from Japan. Who would want to miss that! Plus, the price was reasonable. It's a special Win-Win and great reason to get together. We were offered either a regular or spicy version. I went for the spicy and Belinda and Ed ordered regular. We were given a table and settled in for some great conversation. Belinda surprised us with an order of Pepper Chicken Karaage which had six pieces, plus a sauce and was utterly delicious. The food arrived in a timely mannet and staff is always friendly and cordial. It's family owned and the owner even came over to check on our satisfaction. Thumbs up! The broth looked white and creamy and the Wagyu very evident on top. It looked wonderful. At first bite mine was Super Spicy but upon mixing it the flavor and spiciness level was fine. I enjoyed the consistency of the noodles and the Wagyu. The beef was extraordinarily tender and delicious. The entire meal was great and most enjoyable. They have some wonderful things here including a small store with fun items. We took home two ice cream sandwiches that were very good. Please check this place out. It's quite good!

In a tale as old as time,my daughter and I faced a common 1st world dilemma that many have encountered-Pho or Ramen? Once we decided Ramen-do we want Japanese-style Ramen or Hawaiian-style Ramen?...Once we decided Japanese-style,the choice was obvious,we headed out to Umami Ramen in their newest location in Lincoln. Umami Ramen location in Folsom with its amazing 4.7 Yelp score is currently ranked #9 overall Ramen Shop in the state of California on Yelp-which is an amazing score-well the Lincoln location has a 4.8 Yelp score-so I knew as I was headed out there I was In for a treat. Parking at this location is plentiful as it shares a lot in a multi tenant lot-so that was no problem. When we arrived it was pretty quiet as we were the only customers,so we walked in and placed our order on their huge kiosks located at the front counter and then grabbed a number then grabbed a table. The decor at this location is phenomenal-it almost like transports you to another place-it's such a fun feeling as your walking in-Japanese anime-style feel to the entire store l-I liked it a lot.I for sure would not call this place a serious restaurant- much more casual restaurant feel-I could see my daughter who is in her young 20s,coming here often with her friends before a night of fun. We both decided to go with R3-Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen ($17.00) but I went with thick noodles and she went with thin noodles. They brought our order out very fast-under 10 minutes. The ramen at this restaurant-I don't know exactly how to describe it from say a ramen chefs point of view but here is my take-dang it's good, the broth has such a beautiful mouth taste the moment it hits your tongue,so flavorful,so rich-darn near perfect broth with the perfect blend of black garlic flavor. The pork slices were so yummy-perfectly flavored-the soft boiled eggs, maybe that was the only downfall-they were just ok,I feel I might've just gotten an unlucky egg. The noodles I had were so perfect as well-I had the thick noodles and the chew on them was a delight-my daughter went with the thin and she seemed to like em but I don't know,I just prefer the thicker noodles-feels much more hearty if that makes any sense. Another thing I like about ramen shops in general and I felt this to be true here as well-the meals are fast-this isn't a 90+ minute dinner-this is quick-I felt like I was in and out of there so fast-I like it. Overall-this was my 3rd visit to this location since they opened and I can without a doubt say in my opinion this is a top 2 ramen shop in the Sacramento area and I am thrilled they have this location in Lincoln so I no longer have to drive all the way to Folsom to experience their Ramen expertise-well done Umani Ramen. PS-The decor in the bathroom is just wild-they have Pokemon in there on the walls-love it!

This place was highly recommended by my son , he said the ramen is delicious!! He was 1000% correct! The atmosphere is vibrant, youthful, fun and full of energy. It's spacious, bright, festive and super clean. The table are unique and organic, the anime figures and Japanese traditional arts transport you in an authentic dining experience in the heart of Ramen town in Japan. The Tongkatsu broth I rich and flavorful, options to make it spicy brings the umami to a whole new flavor profile. The pork charsu are firm but tender with a smoky flavors, The noodles have a perfect aldente bite that's soaks up the deliciousness, while the bamboo shoots, mushrooms, greens onions and beans sprouts complement each bite with textures and freshness. We also tried the black garlic Tongkatsu, miso ramen, and the fried squid tentacles . All uniquely delicious. Fast and friendly attention. Smiles and ready to serve you requests. Very warm and nice people. The whole dining experience is amazing...great ramen, relaxed and vibrant atmosphere all adds up to frequent vists and a must try if you have been to Umami Ramen!!! Love love this place and highly recommend!!!

I had been wanting to try this spot since Umami Ramen held a Yelp event I was unable to attend. They have a good selection of traditional ramen as well as appetizers like chicken karaage and fried oysters. It is on the pricier end as for two ramens and 4 fried oysters was $50, but it hit the spot. My brother and his wife felt the chicken was undercooked, but I think it may have been the cooking style they weren't used to.

Food is really good. This is always my Ramen spot thank god they have a branch here in Lincoln because before we travel 30mins because their main branch is in Folsom the first time we tried this place I know we'll keep coming back. Today was their 1st anniversary and I'm present again it feels like every milestone of their restaurant we are here lol. Ramen is really good and also their appetizers, service is good to and their staffs are always ver friendly and accomodating. The ambiance here is good as well, japanese vibes. I ordered Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen and its really good you choose the level of spicyness. I ordered chicken karage and it was very tasty with the honey sauce. I also ordered Fried Scallops and it didn't disappoint because scallops are my favorite. They also have soft serve ice cream here and I didn't order today but we tried it when we went to thei Folsom branch and it was also good. If you go to their restroom it's cute because of the decorations inside. This place is a hidden gem that's why we keep coming back.

In a nutshell; Good ramen, great decor and anime esthetics, great place to hang out and enjoy ramen. Greeted by anime figures and vibrant Japanese themed decor, the place really does well intriguing your curiosity to stay and try out their food. Theres a nice amount of food items to choose from that just isnt ramen. Their ramen is good but not the best I've had yet still high tier. You can order directly if a person's by the cash register or use one of their kiosks to order and grab a number which makes things a little easier. My food did take a bit long but may just be due to the busy hour and to make sure their food quality stays top tier. Theres plenty of parking all around in case you're wondering. Overall pleasant experience, Will drop by again.

We've been to their Folsom location and are very happy that they opened one very close to us now. They have a great variety of options, not just ramen but also their appetizers and mains. You can only order via their kiosks, but it's very easy to use. I always love the convenience. And the best part is the ramen. I love how creamy the broth is, and it's not salty. They also give you the whole egg. The noodles have a good chew, and the toppings are a good amount.

Super cute place! Saw Yelp friends' photos for the Yelp event here a few days ago and thought we should stop by also. Came at opening today (Saturday) and had a pleasant meal. Located next to Simply Nutrition, Stretch Lab, and Urbano's. Same shopping center as Subway, B&B Boba, close to Chevron. Lots of parking. When you first walk in, there's a freezer full of interesting ice cream and unique frozen treats. Then there are mouth-watering drinks like a mango cream soda, peach soda and more. You'll place your order at the kiosk and put your table number in place of your name. My husband was very excited when we first walked in and immediately ordered the chicken karage, not realizing each bowl of ramen comes with 3 pieces of complimentary chicken karage. He ordered the black garlic ramen and I got the soupless garlic noodles with pork. We both felt the soupless noodles tasted better. Portion size didn't seem very big but we were pretty full at the end of our meal (probably from so much chicken karage!) We didn't order any drinks but were given a carafe of ice water. Funny to say but the ice water was SO GOOD! It was chilled in their fridge at a low temperature so it was extra cold--perfect for a hot day! We gulped down two carafes. :) Lots of cute anime figurines for purchase, as well as adorable Japanese snacks and treats. They have a location in Folsom too. The Lincoln location has been open around 5 months. We will be back!

What a great location for a Ramen restaurant. Didn't have a chance to make it to the Yelp event but we wanted to try this place out. When you first enter the restaurant, there are various snacks, frozen treats, and drinks available for purchase, many of them are Japanese ones. They also have anime figurines available for purchase that are proudly displayed throughout the restaurant. At the front, there are kiosks where you can place your order and pay, although one of the owners was there and helped me with my selections. I decided on the black garlic ramen and a side order of chicken karaage, not knowing that for a limited time, I would get 3 free pieces with the purchase of any ramen. Oh well, that just means that I have more chicken karaage to devour. Yay me! My wife ordered the soupless (not "soulless" as my iPhone autocorrect keeps wanting to change "soupless" to, it is far from soulless) garlic noodles with pork. OMG, the soupless noodles, I feel, were even yummier than my ramen. Guess what I'm getting next time? My black garlic ramen was still very tasty though, don't get me wrong. Oh yeah, let's talk about the chicken karaage. It was perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside yet moist and tender on the inside. It was perfectly seasoned and it honestly doesn't need any kind of dipping sauce. I can find no faults with any of the food that we ordered. We didn't order any drinks but were served ice water in clear carafes. Wish more restaurants would serve water this way. Our waiter, who was also one of the owners, was very friendly, always checking on us, and brought back a second carafe of water for us. Service definitely was not lacking. This will definitely be a new favorite restaurant for us and I guarantee that we will be back soon. Give this ramen shop a try too. You won't be disappointed. It's close to where we live and there's plenty of parking. FTW.

Umami Ramen opened its 2nd location in Lincoln on 4/2/25. Soft opening from 4/2 to 4/19.

I'm so happy that Umami Ramen has come to the Lincoln Twelve Bridges area! My favorite is the Black Garlic Tonkotsu, which is my default order and flavor preference at ramen restaurants. I loved that the thick cuts of tonkotsu pork had grill markings! PRO TIP: I swap the default thin noodles for the Thick Noodles because it has more chew. From prior experience at Umami Ramen's Folsom location, I know the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen also has a tasty broth. Karaage Don wasn't that exciting to me, but you get a lot of chicken karaage. Not as flavorful compared to popcorn chicken, but probably more palatable that way for kids and people who avoid spicy and oversalted. I would have liked more sauces. PRO TIP (which I forgot to do): Mark the Spicy checkbox when placing your order or write it under Special Instructions. In addition, look for A11: Pepper Chicken Karaage. During most of June 2025, there was a 3 Free Deep-Fried Gyoza offer with every Ramen purchase for dine-in customers. That was a yummy treat! At the Folsom location in the past, I enjoyed the Geso, seasoned deep fried squid legs. Other menu items I would try: - Katsu Curry - Chashu Don - Chicken Chashu - Shio, Paitan, and Spicy Paitan ramens all have a chicken broth. - Teriyaki Brussels Sprouts - Pan-fried Gyoza (fried together into a flower shape) I like that you can order Bok Choy as a ramen topping add-on. Thoughtful and adorable Japanese anime and ramen related decor, even in the restrooms. During one visit, I counted 10 tables for 2 and 6 tables for 4. Restaurant feels like a fast food or self service cafeteria style establishment. You order at the counter and grab a number for your table, which you get to choose. You'll see the server bring water and your meals to your table, but that's pretty much it. For dine-in, to be safe, I would arrive at least 20 minutes before closing. I was told 15 minutes was OK, but the one time I arrived around then, I wasn't allowed to dine in. Restaurant closes at 2:30 pm on weekdays. It closes 8 PM Sunday to Thursday and 9 PM Fridays and Saturdays. Welcome and best wishes, Umami Ramen!

My husband and I came in around 2PM on a Friday. We ordered by ourselves at the kiosk. The restaurant is filled with anime decor. Even the restrooms have anime wallpaper. We both ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen but my husband got his with thick noodles. The thick noodles have a very eggy taste. I prefer the thin noodles but thick was good too. The broth was so flavorful and the egg.... Literally the best egg I've ever had. The inside was jammy and had a savory yet sweet taste. Next time I'm definitely ordering an extra egg. The chasu was great too. Savory and thick but not too thick. I usually order extra mushrooms on my ramen but the bowl here came with plenty so I don't have to. The service was good too. The waiter greeted us as we came in and were leaving. He also quickly refilled our water whenever we ran out. I've tried a few ramen places in the area and I'm tempted to say this is the best. I will definitely be back!

Chashu Don and Mazemen
Ashley C.

This review is based on a DoorDash takeout order. Our food was so good despite being takeout! I loved the Mazemen noodles- perfect if you don't want something with soup but still want the hearty noodles and meat. It even came with the soft poached egg and it was still perfectly cooked when I cracked it open! I appreciated that they left the spice on the side so I could control it too. The chashu Don was a great portion and loved the flavor in the tender meat. Would definitely order here again, or even return in person!

The service was very attentive and they'll do a temperature check on how the food is with you after you receive your meal and they were all genuinely very friendly. 10/10 for the service, no doubt. For food, we ordered their "Fukumi Ramen" and their chicken karaage . Chicken karaage came out first and was freshly fried. The coating was amazingly light and the chicken itself was flavorful. It comes served with a lemon wedge and tiny pieces of salad and the dressing in the salad was delicious! For the Fukumi Ramen bowl itself, the initial taste of the broth was flavorful and the black garlic oil was a nice touch. You'll immediately notice how thickkkk their chasu slices are and I think the free order of extra noodles is a nice plus. However, the thin noodles served with the Fukumi Ramen bowl seemed like a lighter color than I normally see at ramen places and the noodles were overcooked so I feel like it obscured the overall taste of the ramen itself since ramen noodles make up so much of the bite. Even though the extra noodles were free and a nice complimentary addition, I feel like I could tell why because the ramen noodles lacked the quality the rest of the bowl had. The tamago egg was decent and I was surprised because it looked like a plain white boiled egg rather than the traditional brown seasoned egg you get in ramen. Overall, I think Fukumi Ramen can do the job of satisfying a cold rainy day, and I think with their wide variety of ramen options, you'll definitely have to try and find one that might hit for you! Portions are huge here too so it might take a couple visits to try more options!

The thing that ticked me was when our ramens came out, we tried the broth and it was nice, but my bf shortly noticed we didn't have any eggs. Once we told the waiter (not the guy that brought tables the katsus) he asked us which ramens we ordered to see if they come with eggs, *All of them come with eggs except for kids ramen* and then he asked if we were sure it wasn't there and if it wasn't just buried under our ramen. No long wait, no chaos. Even better, I arrived before my friend, and they kindly let me sit at the table and wait for her comfortably. That level of hospitality immediately stood out. Now let's talk about the menu because they truly cater to everyone: * Plenty of vegetarian options * Chicken broth ramen for those who prefer it * Rich, flavorful pork broth ramen for traditional ramen lovers It's refreshing to see a ramen spot that offers variety without compromising on authenticity. And the broth... wow. That first spoonful of warm ramen broth feels like a hug. It's rich, deeply savory, and perfectly balanced not too salty, not too heavy. The kind of warmth that fills your soul and makes you slow down and savor every bite. You can taste the care and time that goes into it. The noodles were cooked perfectly springy, fresh, and satisfying and the toppings were generous and high quality. We also ordered the chicken pancakes, and they were such a pleasant surprise!
