I ordered the Shoyu ramen and it was hands down one of the best ramens I've had. The broth was very savory, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. We also tried the gyoza which were crispy on the outside and juicy inside definitely worth ordering. My ramen was served quickly, hot and in a good sized bowl with proper (real chopsticks) serving utensils and a soup spoon. I selected the Ada (Red) Tonkotsu which is on the spicier side. The ramen broth had deep flavors and great spice. I could have requested hotter spice, but wanted to sample the original recipe. Pork was tender, sliced thin and also had great flavors. I wish there were more than just two slices of the pork though. All of the other ramen veggies were a great compliment in the dish. I've been to the downtown Ryujin many times and was excited to try this new location, but unfortunately, it felt like an off night for the food. The service was great, and the staff were attentive throughout our visit. We had reservations for 7 PM, and when we arrived, there were only two other tables occupied. I don't think many people know about this location yet, but I'm sure it will get busier as word gets out. As for the food, the fried oysters (kaki) were cooked perfectly and paired well with the sauce. However, the chicken wings were underwhelming--soft rather than crispy, bland, and in need of sauce. I ordered my usual, the AKA (red Tonkotsu ramen), but this time it was lukewarm and lacked its usual depth of flavor. We also tried the miso ramen, which turned out bland as well. Usually, miso broth has a noticeable salt base, but this one seemed extra light. Overall, I wish there had been more flavor in all the dishes we ordered. I'm hoping this was just an off night, as I've had better experiences at their downtown location. I'd still recommend making a reservation just to be safe if you plan to visit. read more

It's in the same plaza as Raley's O-N-E on Blue Oaks Blvd. The Grand Opening with the Roseville Chamber of Commerce was Monday, June 23, 2025. Kuro Black Tonkotsu Ramen was yummy. I asked for spicy red paste on the side. It contained chashu, cabbage, kikurage mushrooms or wood ear mushrooms, red ginger, green onions, and a seasoned ajitama egg. You could upgrade by adding corn, tofu, bamboo shoots or menma, an extra egg, extra noodles, double noodles, or extra broth. I also enjoyed the taste and texture of the Geso, seasoned deep-fried squid legs. I would skip squeezing lemon on top, which only made it sour. I wish I had ordered Gyoza, so my lunch companion could have enjoyed an appetizer. She loved how tender the chashu pork in the ramen was, how it fell apart and melted in her mouth. I'm so happy that there is now a Ryujin Ramen House in Roseville. I used to always go to the one located in Sacramento. I tried the katsudon and the aka red ramen. They both tasted similar to the Sacramento location. They did offer the katsudon in chicken but I stuck to the original. The only reason I am rating them 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the service, or lack of it. The katsudon tasted similar to the Sacramento location but this one was a bit saltier. I ran out of water soon after receiving my food because the katsudon was salty. I typically don't have issues with Ryujin but we didn't get checked up on at all after we got our food. Just one visit from the server or a refill would have been made the experience better. Other than that the food was tasty and the prices are fair. Will come back again! read more

First off, we came just 10 minutes before closing but they still welcomed us with a smile and an amazing greeting to eat in! My husband and I were ready to take our food to go instead but Legend (our waitress's name) insisted that we stay. She could not be more kind and amazing at her job. She made sure to come back to our table to check in on our water & if we wanted anything else while closing. Secondly, the ambiance of this place was honestly to die for. I could not believe that this Ryujin location was going to look almost like a bar where you must dress up to go to! Such an amazing time taking photos of this place for inspiration. Lastly, their food was delicious! We did not order as much appetizer this time but the takoyaki was cooked so well & had the right amount of taste for each topping. Crispy but still had a soft bite on the inside. My husband enjoyed his spicy tonkatsu but he really wanted to steal my tan tan ramen. Can't blame him for it, it was such a comforting taste! Writing this is just making me crave for this again. So good!! For the taiyaki, we decided to take it to go so we're not in the way for closing time but they packed it so well for us with labels too. My hubby is a big time Ramen fan. He makes it at home all the time for breakfast. So we decided to try Ryujin. It is 3 minutes from our home. I typically do not order Ramen, it's just not my thing, so I had to order something else from the menu that could be a main dish. I selected the beef rice bowl. I won't comment on the ramen as I just never order it. The rice bowl was $16.50. It comes with enough rice for two or three people, however it left me saying "where's the beef".... I swear there was only about 1 ounce of slivered beef on top of the rice. The sauce was very good on top of and mixed in with the rice, but come on! Let's up the amount of beef please in this dish! I've seen Ryujin pop up on Yelp and since it had the same name as the Ryujin in Sac, we had to check it out! We walked in and saw the sign noting it was their soft opening. We were greeted and seated quickly. We asked the staff if they were the part of the Sacramento location and they confirmed it was a new branch. We looked at the menu and they had all the same items. They had the different tonkotsu ramens that Ryujin is well known for. We got the tsukemen, kids ramen, and aka tonkotsu. The ramen was just as good as we remembered! The egg was so perfectly soft and the marinade was delicious. The aka (red) has a nice heat that's flavorful and not overwhelming. The tsukemen broth wasn't overly salty. The inside is so spacious and nicely decorated. Love the colors and design off the wall decor. The staff were awesome! They were efficient and friendly. Newest ramen place in town. We went during their soft opening. We've only tried their ramen so far - Karamiso ramen and Kurogomo tantan ramen. The service was good and we were seated right away. The other thing I like about Ryujin Ramen House is that you can make reservations. They also have cold noodles in their menu, so you could enjoy noodles in the summer too. The only thing I didn't like is their cups. Since they are stainless steel, the servers wouldn't see that you have finished your drink and you have to call them to refill your drink. read more

Soft Opening [Roseville CA] The long awaited opening of Ryujin in Roseville has finally come and we finally have our own here in Roseville. Last year while dining next door at Sister's Thai Kitchen I noticed the sign posted on 3/29/24... "coming soon." We dined at the restaurant yesterday during their soft opening. We walked inside and was seated immediately. The interior decor is nice and modern. We were led to a booth and in a very much slower paced than their original location in Sacramento we were able to relax where we didn't feel rushed and we took our time dining. I ordered the Chashu Don while hubby chose the Katsu Don. We are saving the ramen for next time. Chashu is a traditional ramen topping and the braised pork belly served over rice with egg and scallions was delicious, though a tad bit salty for my taste. Still yummy! I thought it should've included shredded nori and pickled ginger but it was fine without them. The chashu adds a sweet, salty, and savory accent to the steamed rice. The serving was generous and I had the leftovers today for lunch. Somehow it tasted better the next day LoL! The new Ryujin in Roseville is spacious inside with booths, tables and counter seating. Wayne, co-owner, who is very friendly and personable took the time to chat with me and shared insights about this new location. Soon there will also be patio seating outside. New location and this time in Roseville, no need to head to Sacramento when craving for ramen kicks in. They are still on their soft opening. Conveniently located in The Plaza at blue oaks shopping complex by the corner of fiddyment and blue oaks blvd. This new location is living up to customer expectations with regard to taste and presentation. Still the same but better ambiance. We came in at past 12:30pm on a Sunday with 16 people in our party but they were able to accommodate us. They were also able to do separate checks without any hassle at all. As I observe people leaving, I stepped inside into the waiting area because they will call your party only at the waiting area. If you are not present, they will move on to the other parties. I think we waited 15-20 minutes. Not too bad. Finally got seated and it took our waitress some time to take our order. No worries. We had baby with us, so we took our time. The ambiance of the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! Modern Japanese designed restaurant. The bathroom is GORGEOUS! We've been lucky enough to visit Ryujin Ramen House twice this week, and both visits were fantastic. On Sunday, the place was packed, but we still managed to get a table for three pretty quickly. Once seated, service was prompt and friendly. Our drinks came out fast, and our server took our food order right after. We tried the Shiro Tonkatsu and Kuro Tonkatsu, and each order was excellent. The broth arrived warm enough to start eating right away, rich in flavor but not too heavy. The chasu portions were generous, and the noodles were plentiful and perfectly cooked. We're not ramen experts by any means, but everything tasted great. We actually went back tonight and brought my parents, who are usually very critical when it comes to food. They both ordered the Shiro Tonkatsu and gave it a big thumbs up--which is about as high of praise as it gets. West Roseville truly has a gem in Ryujin Ramen House. I had dinner with a friend here since we both haven't tried it. We were excited to try this place since it had good reviews. My friend had a chicken curry rice bowl and she said it was good. I had one of their signature Tonkatsu Ramen's which sounded delicious. When I got my bowl, it looked great! I tried my first bite, the flavors were good but very disappointed the soup was only luke warm! I was expecting a hot steaming out bowl of noodles!
