It's the kind of place where a comforting bowl of noodles really hits the spot. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, and it did not disappoint! The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with a deep, roasted garlic flavor. The tender pork chashu, noodles, mushrooms, and crunchy bean sprouts complemented each other perfectly. Everything came together for a hearty, satisfying bowl. Sometimes all you need is a good bowl of ramen, and this one delivered! The portions are generous, and the combination of flavors and textures makes this a great choice for anyone who enjoys a rich, savory ramen. Definitely worth digging into! Rex Tip: Before heading out, check out the little shop section to on left inside the restaurant! They have a fun selection of Japanese snacks, toys, and even Japanese Pokémon cards. It's a neat little bonus, especially for Pokémon fans and anyone who enjoys discovering unique Japanese treats. The interior is focused and intimate, utilizing wood booths and panel walls creating a serene space that is almost ritualistic in a peaceful and unwinding way. The waitress was very Kind to us and the chef was prompt. On top of our orders, the chef brought out carved fruit for our kids twice! Before and after our meals. We thought this was such a great gesture and make the kiddos happy and feel special. The food was great! Love that they have a protein section using no rice to skip the carbs. Their toro was fantastic, and the chef even placed 24k gold flakes on top when he presented the dish. This was a great experience and we cannot wait to return and enjoy another wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

Since it wasn't very busy when we arrived, we were seated right away. The dining room is fairly large, with a mix of tables, booths, and counter seating. Each table has a tablet for electronic ordering, but we decided to go old-fashioned and order through our server. We started with a large hot sake and six pieces of gyoza, asking our server to hold the entrées until we finished. The sake hit the spot and paired nicely with the gyoza. The gyoza tasted good but was just a bit harder than we'd like. For the main meal, I ordered a bento box with nigiri sushi and tempura, while the others chose a salmon teriyaki bento box and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. My nigiri tasted fresh and nicely prepared. I also tried a piece of the Spicy Yellowtail Roll and found it to have a nice flavor profile. The salmon teriyaki was clean and sweet, with a natural salmon flavor, and was tender and juicy. The portions were generous, making for a satisfying meal, and everyone enjoyed their food, although my companions thought the tempura was a bit too oily. Despite the slightly firm gyoza and oily tempura, the good sake, generous portions, and relaxed atmosphere made for a very enjoyable lunch. The highlight for me was sipping the remaining sake and enjoying the nigiri.

Both of the restaurants were all you can eat sushi restaurants, with very similar menus. The salmon sushi pieces were good, but the yellowtail was a little fishy so I stopped ordering yellowtail and continued to order more salmon. We enjoyed the cooked food and desserts. The staff and waitress were nice, but not too speedy. The restaurant was large and pretty casual. The decor was a little plain in the room that we sat in. Narumi Sushi is marked as closed, so look at Akame Sushi for the new sushi restaurant name.

Before tip, it's about $40/pp. You best believe we ordered a lot! Our server was kind, attentive, and efficient. She came over right away and took our drink and appetizer orders. I ordered about half of the listed appetizers. Favorites were the shrimp and veggie tempura and the shrimp fried rice. Miso soup served a good hot temperature with seaweed and tofu and not too salty. Good start with edamame and seaweed salad. We ordered most of the teriyaki proteins. Great char on the chicken and the beef was so tender. We asked for mixed sashimi plate. The presentation was disappointing (very plain) and so was the taste. Didn't look or taste the freshest. The hamachi and salmon yama were both nicely fried with crispy skin. Maybe a bit overdone, but was still good. The sea steak salad was very fresh, thinly cut, and had a kick. Another favorite! We also had their dim sum, the shrimp har gow being the best. Soft shell crab tasted like burnt oil. The fried banana for dessert would've been better but was over fried. I suggest ordering fried items early. Ice cream was Melona bars on a stick and our server said they also had mochi ice cream, not on the menu. Oh, and they were out of oysters. Overall, food was probably 3 stars but service was good and pretty fast with all the food coming out. Wishing AKAME good luck. That location is kinda hidden and next to a sketch hotel/apartment complex.

That's the second time within 2 weeks that I've dined at a sushi restaurant in Rancho/Folsom area and then they've closed the next week. Is this a curse? Hopefully not. I still wanna give this restaurant five stars, because I literally had the best chirashi of my life. The bowl was so beautiful presented, there were so many excellent fishes in the chirashi, the fish was fresh and delicious, they provided the better wasabi, and...it was so exceptional! In addition to the salmon and yellowtail and walu, the bowl had bluefin tuna, seared salmon belly, seared bluefin tuna, and toro! They also had good tamago. This trumped all chirashi bowls and most sushi restaurants ever. My friend got the chicken teriyaki and it looked delicious. They gave plenty of dark meat chicken, with tempura, and miso soup. This was a destination sushi restaurant, worth going out of your way for. I can't believe I just discovered this restaurant, but it had been around for years. They had plenty of seating, with Thursday night football playing on the TV at the bar area. The service was fairly good as they were getting pretty busy as the evening went on. The sushi was so amazing. Aiko closing is not okay.

She was friendly and so patient with us. We were just chatting away each time she checked in on us and we truly appreciate her insight and suggestions from what to order to travels (we just happened to be discussing overseas travels with our teen who spends money like she has deep pockets). This place will definitely be in our circulation.

Taste is subjective, and what one person finds delicious, another may not. However, there are certain universal aspects of dining, such as customer service, cleanliness, communication, and overall hospitality, that every restaurant should strive to deliver. My reviews reflect the complete experience, not just what's on the plate. We decided to try Hasu Teriyaki & Sushi in Folsom for the first time and brought the kids along. Unfortunately, the experience got off to a rough start. When we walked in, there were several open tables, but no one greeted us or explained whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. A female employee saw us but didn't provide any direction, so we picked a table ourselves. After waiting for a bit with no acknowledgment, I had to get up and grab menus on my own. We spent about eight minutes deciding what to order (never easy with kids), but still no one came by. After another several minutes, I finally walked the few feet to the register and asked, "Are we supposed to order here or at the table?" The response was simply, "Yes, order here." After placing my order, I was immediately prompted to add a tip before receiving any service, which is something I personally find frustrating. Then I grabbed our cups to fill our drinks myself, only to find the ice machine was out of ice. At that point, it felt like we were striking out on every opportunity for a good first impression. It appears there's only one employee handling both the register and the dining area, which may explain some of the confusion. If that's the system, it would really help to have a sign letting customers know to seat themselves and order at the counter. There are only about seven tables inside, but without any guidance, the dining experience is confusing for first-time visitors. Once the food arrived, it was presented nicely. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and Dragon Roll, and visually they looked great. Unfortunately, I found the flavors to be underwhelming. The sushi was very mild, and even the wasabi had almost no heat. I added far more wasabi than I normally would, yet it barely had any kick. For someone who really enjoys sushi, the overall flavor just didn't stand out. The kids' non-raw rolls were also just average. To her credit, the employee did check on us twice after the food arrived, and she was friendly. I think she recognized that I was frustrated after spending roughly 15 minutes in the restaurant without any acknowledgment or explanation of how ordering worked. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible, but it wasn't one that makes me eager to return. Between the confusing service, lackluster first impression, and sushi that was simply average, I'd probably look elsewhere next time.

I would describe this as a place for introverts who love sushi. If you don't want to interact with a single human during your whole visit, Bento Revolving Sushi is for you! But I actually like having someone warmly greet us, welcome us in, seat us, and walk us through how things work at the shop. ESPECIALLY when I shared that it was our first time to the restaurant. Especially when the restaurant has a nontraditional method for ordering. We ordered a beer from the ~one~ human trying to fill roles of host, server, busser and cashier (which in and of itself is ridiculous and too much to ask of a single employee). Ten minutes later, I was able to catch the attention of that one staffer. They came over and it was at that point they explained that we needed to order everything using the computer pad at our table. (Cool! Would have been excellent to know that when we first arrived or even when we ordered our beer.) To be fair, the beer arrived along with apologies about the wait. Thanks. Then we got excited for all of the many offerings in their extensive menu. We start ordering via the pad and had to show some restraint to not get too much directly from the kitchen, which is in addition to whatever is moving around the revolving "belt" that snakes its way by the ~13 tables available for customer use in the restaurant (several other tables were stacked with supplies and seemed to just be used for storage). And then we waited. We watched roll after roll sent out of the kitchen to one table in particular on their fairly cool automated conveyor system. Unique. Fun even! But man, that table was getting all the love. I guess they finish their tickets one table at a time rather than sending out a few items to each table to get people enjoying food throughout their visits. OK. After another 20 minutes of waiting, we inquired about our order. At that point (seriously, nearly 40 minutes after walking in the front door), the single staff told us that we had to hit the "send order" button on the pad. (I know. Obvious enough but I missed it and no one took time to spend 30 seconds telling us how to use their system.) None of our order had even been received by the kitchen let alone started. At this point, I was ready to pay for our beer and leave, but the husband talked me down. So we waited even longer, and eventually our meal started arriving, plate by plate. The food was really quite tasty. The shrimp tempura was yummy, served piping hot and we liked the addition of the crunchy noodles underneath. The rolls were good, although one was torched but wasn't under the torched menu, which was less than ideal since we'd already ordered one torched roll. The hamachi nigiri was fresh. The offerings on the belt were not very appetizing, made worse by someone having put back on the belt an empty, dirty plate of one of the desserts, which circulated during most of our visit. Gross. Lastly, nearly every surface was sticky and/or dirty. The screen of the ordering pad was gross. Under our table was so sticky the soles of my shoes were sticking to the floor. Just ick. If all of the other issues were set aside, I would likely consider returning. But honestly, there are plenty of great sushi places that have great customer service and would never leave a table unchecked for 10-20 minutes at a time. While I feel for the single staffer who said, "I'm really busy" (trying to do all the things that more than one person should be doing), I'm just not into excuses. This place clearly does not prioritize customer service. I won't be back.
