    Chirashi Bowl
    Connie B.

I have been meaning to try this place for a while now and finally got around to it on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is not too big but easily located off the freeway and plenty of parking within the plaza. The service was amazing where they were attentive, but not overbearing and the quality of the fish is great for its price! I highly recommend the chirashi bowl and the only critique I would have is to serve it in a bigger bowl because it was a little difficult to eat. However, the chef's choice selection was awesome and I really do enjoy it when they actually name each fish. They also do happy hour all day on Sunday so I tried two of the Rolls and it was solid. I would definitely be coming back as a regular.

After a 4.5 hour hike, we decided to find a refreshing sushi restaurant. We decided to stop in. We were greeted and waiter was very professional, and polite. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and restroom was clean as well. Ordered the cucumber salad, and tempura for starters. The presentation and flavor for both, absolutely delicious, fresh! We couldn't get enough. Then we placed an order for a few roles. Every single roll, was gone within minutes. My fiancé enjoyed them all. His favorite out of the three, was the knockout, although he said all three were all very good. I ordered the shrimp lover roll.. so tasty. Highly recommend, will come back again.

Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Came here on Friday night and was able to get a table fairly quickly. I didn't see an option for reservations online as well. Food came out very quickly and very pretty presentations. Want to try the raw oysters, but they didn't have it that day. Service was very friendly as well. Great quality sashimi and everyone enjoyed it. We'll be back to try more dishes.

This has been a long time favorite, not much has changed since the name change. My go to is still the beautiful roll. The atmosphere is intimate and the service is outstanding. We have been sitting at the bar and still getting that exceptional service we have always gotten. The garlic edamame can't be beat. It's so good that we opt to dip everything in the sauce after all of the beans are gone.

Superman Roll, spicy garlic edamame, California roll

Spicy Garlic edamame is the best edamame I've ever had! Superman roll hit the spot. And their California roll is the perfect side. Glad we stopped by here. Super satisfied.

My new favorite sushi restaurant! When I tell you everything tasted so good even the wasabi was something I loved. We ordered Geso (so fresh and well seasoned), gyoza (I've never had one like it and it was really good), and cucumber salad (I could have drank the sauce the put on it). We got four rolls: Slap happy, Scallop Maniac, Let me take a selfie, and Show me your love. The Scallop Maniac was my favorite but each roll was so good. I don't know if this is a me thing but at other places all of the rolls end up tasting the same, here all of the rolls were so unique and distinct tasting. The best thing offered was the sashimi platter. I highly recommend getting the large because we got the small and it was not enough. The fish was fresh and melt in your mouth quality. I would 100% be going back and trying other rolls. Our server was 10/10 but I also noticed the other servers engaging with their tables and I took a mental note of how great the service is. The restaurant itself was very clean and I'm going to be honest I was so focused on the food I didn't look around too see if there was any unique decor.

This place is absolutely amazing. Has been one of my go to stops here in rancho. Friendly staff, great vibe with the Japanese anime decor. The food is always amazing and the highest quality. We always get the chef special, be careful how spicy you ask for it because they do not play around here. Love this spot and will continue to make the drive here! My only knock, booths need to be updates. Other than that fantastic

The food here is so good! I apologize if the names on the photos are wrong since I don't remember what they all were. But anyway the sushi and rolls are yummy! It tastes good and feels nice and tender. Feels and taste fresh! The service here is good and I've gotten stuff to go before as well. Really enjoyed it!

Walking in you are greeted with a Japanese greeting. The server was prompt in informing you to sit where you like. We must have came in on a bad night because they are out of a lot of items. No uni, no hamachi, and no kanpachi. When asking if this is a regular occurrence the server said it isn't. Onto what we ordered. Nigiri: Otoro, tobiko with uzura, and bluefin tuna. Rolls: Lion King, Slap Happy, and Smoky Aiko. Everything was so fresh and the rolls were so tasty. I really like my rolls sliced thin, and these rolls had nice thin pieces and the proportions of rice the ingredients were just right. The nigiri did not have too much rice. I am very interested in tasting the items they ran out of. Dining atmosphere is casual with laid back jazzy style music quietly playing. Tables are granite topped and Japan Night Time Cityscape posters above the booth seats. TV above the sushi bar has sports playing. The sushi chef is at the bar chatting with patrons while he is busy procuring orders. He informs them of what is what. Very good! I am inclined to return!

In a nutshell; pretty neat sushi establishment, not a strong suggest but an ok spot if to try if you're in the area. Another sushi place with specialty sushi that have rather unique names. Lots of parking space around. Went during dinner and it was fairly busy but place had a lot of seats and comfortable booths for any time of the day. Servers were great. Food didn't take too long to arrive. Never had trouble having refills for water. Overall always a pleasant experience every visit.

We are new to this area and decided to try this "hole-in-the-wall" in a strip mall setting. Pleasantly surprised. Amiable staff and the fish was fresh. We will definitely return. We sat at the bar, and the chairs were a little too low for the bar, so we will sit at a table, next time.

    Ask the Community - Aiko

Is there a happy hour menu at Sky Sushi? If there is, where is it posted, and what are the happy hour days/time?

Are they going to be open jan 2 and is it dine in now?

As far as I know they are only closed today and mondays. And yes dine in is open

Are they open during the shelter in place? If so what are the hours? I've tried calling a couple times to place an order.

The have different hours during this time. We ordered our food around 5pm on Friday evening. They do curb side service.

Are the sushi rolls half price?

All of their specialty rolls are. They do have one small section (maybe 7-10 rolls or so) of full priced rolls. Quality increases with price, but all their rolls are great!

I'd never been here before but my husband was picking up pizza across the street and this was nearest location. My first impression on a quick stop Friday night. Restaurant is small but clean and modern. They were REALLY busy but friendly and my roll was ready by the time I got there. I asked for soy sauce and wasabi, they had already put it all in the bag. Good customer service. When I got to my destination, sat down and finally opened the box, I was surprised at the size of the roll. I ordered the Machu Pichu and it had a good combo of seafood so I expected a larger roll. It is also priced at $25 so there's that for expectation. I do realize price of food has gone up a lot, I was still taken back a bit. The roll was really good though. Machu Pichu- Tempura shrimp and spicy tuna in the roll. Spicy tuna didn't have the kick, I couldn't tell it apart from the other ingredients. It was supposed to be topped with avocado but didn't have any as you can see in the pictures. It did have a good amount of snow crab mix. Half the roll was topped with salmon, the other half with tuna but it looked fresh, not seared. Also, I didn't know they would be divided. The description implies the entire roll having each of the ingredients listed. Other than that, it did have the creamy and unagi sauces, the leeks, marsh and salad. Overall it was fresh and good. It just wasn't what I was expecting nor was what I thought it would be for a $25 roll. I was so hungry and didn't dine in so I let it go.. plus that amazing flavor of wasabi and soy sauce met enough of what I was looking forward to tasting with the other ingredients. I got the Inari for my toddler. It was good but also $8 for the two halves. Maybe I've been hiding under a rock but that's pricy for 2 tbsp of rice with tofu wrap. Would I go back? Haven't decided. I'm sure if I had dined in, these details would have been corrected. Overall it was good.. there was just a lot missing for me in this first time experience. If I do, I will definitely update.

I visited on a weekend afternoon and was the only customer in the restaurant, with just one chef and one server present. I ordered a torched roll. The albacore on top was stiff and overcooked, the sauce was excessive, and the shrimp tempura inside was soggy. Every component was mishandled -- from ingredient freshness to execution -- and after two bites I felt sick and could not continue eating it. I considered asking for a replacement, but the chef left the restaurant immediately after serving the dish. The server was polite and understanding when I explained I couldn't eat the food, and I left without ordering anything else. I have given this restaurant multiple chances and this was the final one. It was amazing. The squid was not too chewy, and I don't know how they seasoned it, but it was delicious. The sauce on top was very savory. I especially liked the tentacles, the little "suckers" were actually crunchy. A total home run. Last time, I had their tonkatsu Ramen, which is my favorite Ramen. Their version is excellent. I was going to have it again, but this time I saw the seafood Ramen on the menu. Amazing! You choose your spice level. I chose the mild, and there was just a tiny bit of spice, just enough that I noticed that it was there . There was plenty of seafood, the shrimp were tender, and the scallops were buttery. The fish cake also had a good flavor. The noodles were the perfect texture, the veggies were good, and the broth was rich, but not overly so. It had a great savory flavor. I absolutely loved the egg. It was perfectly in the middle between hard boiled and soft boiled. My late mom would make what I liked to call "goopy eggs." , and this one brought back a wonderful memory. I had enough of the Ramen and enough of the squid left over for a full second meal. The portions were huge! It put just a tiny bit of a sweat on my forehead, but not much. It wasn't just spice, it also had a good flavor. I left very full. The price of the special, soda, tax and tip was extremely reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. I want to come back and try the sushi next time. Thank you!

So I told my wife to pick what she wanted for dinner tonight for Mother's Day, and she stumbled…read moreupon the Google page for Express Sushi & Teriyaki and thought the pictures of the food looked delicious, so we decided to give them a try. They are located in a little strip mall off Folsom Blvd. right next to a laundry mat with a decent sized parking lot, with a little sign mentioning Mother's Day with pink balloons to commemorate the occasion. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated by a very sweet young lady named Violet who ended up also being our server. The inside was clean, with a wall of TVs that formed one large screen, lights on the walls, and they had pink heart balloons all throughout for the holiday. We had already picked the items we were interested in beforehand, and Violet let us immediately order. We got the Hamachi Kama, the Shrimp Daddy, The Northen Lights Wrap, 2 small bowls of miso soup, the BBQ Albacore, the House Wife Special Roll and the Philly Cheesesteak Roll. EVERYTHING tasted SUPER FRESH and incredibly delicious! We HIGHLY recommend the Shrimp Daddy and the Northern Lights Wrap, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of the items we selected. Violet was VERY professional, personable, and tentative and took great care of us. The other server, Gayane, was also very sweet and came over and gave my wife a miniature chocolate cake (made by a local bakery called Heavenly Pasteries) as a Mother's Day treat. Then at one point, Chef Maguro walked around and checked in with every customer and stopped at our table for a chat. Maguro was such an incredibly cool and talented guy. He told us he's been a sushi chef for about 28 years, and it shows. He's also responsible for all the delicious looking pictures on their website and in the restaurant. Not totally sure if Chef Maguro made ALL of our food, so we need to also shout out Chef Henry as well. This place is excellent! The food was super tasty, and the people working there really sold the experience. Thank you for being a wonderful server, Violet! Someone give this woman a raise! And thank you Chef Maguro for being a stand up, awesome guy! We will for sure be coming back again soon!!
