I'm not a sushi connoisseur so I can't speak on that, but when my family wants a quick takeout meal Arigato Sushi always delivers. My go to order is the 49er with either some nigiri or a beginner roll, and my wife loves to get their chicken teriyaki and tempura combo. We also very much love their gyoza. Great sushi! We ordered takeout often for dinners and group gatherings. Recently, we ordered another platter with our chosen rolls and sashimi. You can ask them to place your rolls and sashimi on a platter for an additional $6. We got two Shrek rolls this time since everyone likes the garlic taste. We ordered right away but we had to wait quite a while since the restaurant was packed. The service was just ok - nobody checked on us for water refill. A friend and I stopped in for lunch and were excited to see $10 spicy ramen and half off rolls on the board. Seemed like a solid deal for a sit down sushi restaurant. What arrived in that bowl, however, was Shin Ramyun. Yes...Shin Ramyun...The $1 instant noodle packet you can buy in an 18-pack at Costco. No disclosure on the menu, no mention from the server. When I called it out, the waiter confirmed it was instant ramen and offered to take it back. I expressed that I felt they should label that appropriately on the menu she informed me that is why it says 'k-ramen' as in korean ramen. Charging $10 for a packet of instant noodles at a restaurant without telling customers is not okay, makes me wonder about the quality of the rest of their menu. Walking into Arigato Sushi, you are warmly greeted by the workers there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a lot of tables mainly 2 or 4 seaters.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just to start off, my partner and I got the dragon roll, k.k special, orange blossom, and a Lion king roll, Overall, they are good portion size and their rice is fresh without the overwhelming vinegar taste like at other sushi spots. Some pieces of the rolls like the dragon roll and orange blossom had a lot of avocado to the point where I mainly tasted just that. Most of their rolls also have unagi sauce drizzled on and there aren't many salmon options. They mainly favor tuna for their sushi roll options. The lion king was the only roll that tasted more of the bland side. It was served warm but the flavor was lacking. The entire roll also kept breaking apart. Besides all that, I think the rolls tasted great for what it's worth! It reminds me of Sushi Hook prices in relation to their quality but unfortunately that's a bit too far away from me now. Considering that these rolls were 50% off and therefore ranged around an affordable $8-$13 per roll, I would consider this my go to sushi spot for now. I would come back here if I was on a budget and craved sushi. read more

A lovely Friday afternoon. Just had some blood drawn after fasting all day. The venue offers both tables and booths for seating and is a bright and open space. I ordered a Bento box lunch with two items - grilled mackerel and shrimp and vegetable tempura. The box also included soup, salad, and rice. The presentation was nice and everything was hot and freshly prepared. The food was delicious and the service was good. The location is in a busy strip mall with plenty of parking allowing for easy access. I have been here several times and have always had a good experience. To my surprise, a (full-grown) woman shouts me down saying I'm off by a few dollars. I'm irrecoverably disappointed. Greed is NOT a virtue. Arigato is charging $2 more ($27.50+tax) for sushi deluxe. What makes it unacceptable is that the slices are extremely thin, the shrimp is extremely small, they're now using crap-quality disposable chopsticks, and I was still very hungry after my meal. Previous visits, I'd order this meal for $25.50 (10 nigiri and 8 modest sized California roll pieces). And when I was nearly done with my food, I was full. And finishing the whole plate, I was over-full. Kudos for committing to your price increase by providing printed, quality menus (instead of electronic "can change at the drop of a hat" menu of any kind). However, this ain't worth it. Our restaurant dining experience was very nice because we had a great waitress. I happen to love Ginger, so she kept refilling our little ginger bowl to eat with our sushi. It's been a few weeks since we were actually there, so I don't remember which of the roles we had. We like to try one from each section . I don't think I've ever had a sushi roll that I did not like. the restaurant itself is a little bright, and I hate all the TVs running everywhere while you're trying to have dinner. We ordered six rolls, a poke bowl, edamame, teriyaki chicken, and veggie tempura, and here's how it all landed: Edamame: 2/5. Zero seasoning, small bowl, and lukewarm. Poke bowl: 4/5. Solid and great flavors. A big glow-up after the edamame! Teriyaki chicken: 3/5. Fine, got the appetizer so it didn't come with any rice, could have used a nice char on the chicken but the flavor overall was decent. Veggie tempura: 3/5. Good fry on the veggies, but could have used more variety than two slices of sweet potato, two of zucchini, and one piece of broccoli. Rolls: 2.5/5 Maybe we didn't diversify enough. We got: Firefly, Aloha, Maui, James Bond, Lucky 7, and Coconut. And they all essentially tasted the same. I really don't understand the permanent 50% off gimmick on the menu, but it's not, like, problematic or anything, just goofy. My husband and I came a few nights ago with our cousins to have a celebratory dinner. They weren't too busy so we were seated right away! It was our first time to this location and I noticed that the space is so pretty compared to the Howe location. However, it does seem smaller. We ordered lots of food! Had the Pepperfin, Calamari, 3 dinner bento box, 5 rolls and nearly 10 sake bombs. LOL, it was so much food we said we needed a bigger table and our server, Young, overheard us and literally pushed the table next to us over! Hahahaha, top notch service! Everything was delicious and the fish was fresh. My favorite roll was the Firefly, I just love that pesto jelly! I will say, we were not a fan of the calamari. It reminded us of a frozen app that you could find at the supermarket. The batter was like a breadcrumb and it was super rubbery-chewy. As I mentioned, we ordered about 10 sake bombs and towards the end of our meal we noticed another party ordered a pitcher of sake and beer...wish that would've been presented to us at some point...would've made more sense for us to order that rather than individual sake bombs.
