I was in the area and when I saw Fishology Poke Bar I immediately knew what I wanted for lunch. Poke is one of my favorite foods and always a treat when I can find a good spot. The Yelp ratings were good too, so I was excited. The shop is small, but has seating for dine in and is quick service where you order and choose your toppings and add ins at the counter (like most poke places). They also had a cold case with drinks, crab salad and seaweed salad available. I opted for the Regular Poke Bowl ($18) with 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 1 scoop of salmon. The scoops seemed generous compared to some places I've been. The free toppings are red onion, ginger, seaweed and wasabi- I got a bit of all of them and it was interesting that they mixed them all into the poke with my choices of sauce. Typically ginger and wasabi are more side items. I chose spicy mayo, and sweet and spicy unagi sauce and they mixed everything up and put it on top of a 1/2 salad, 1/2 brown rice base. Their additional toppings are listed as $1 each and there's a variety including those I typically see as upgrades (seaweed salad and crab salad) and some that I thought were weird as $1 upgrades (Furikake, sesame seeds, cilantro, jalapenos, etc.) It definitely encourages customers to keep it simple. I opted to add the crab salad and seaweed salad ($1/each) because I really enjoy them with my poke and they did add what seemed to be a generous amount. When I got home I enjoyed the poke bowl, it was fresh and tasted great. Definitely a great lunch treat!

I came in for lunch and built my own poke bowl. I love that they toss it in wasabi for you. I love spicy and this was the first time a poke place offered this option. I had two scoops of ahi tuna and one scoop of salmon. The fish tasted so cool and fresh. I got it over a seaweed salad and loved every bite. I'll be back for some more. Thank you!

What fresh and delicious options here! I hope this business thrives cause the owner was so kind and even gave me a discount for my work badge. I got shrimp mixed with the most delish spicy mayo and some spicy tuna. The seaweed salad was delicious and he didn't even charge me extra for it (some places have). They had a nice variety and the location seemed nice and clean. I will be back!

Food: I got salmon, ahi, and shrimp in my bowl. Everything was fresh. Ordered the regular size bowl with 3 scoops. Price, just under $19 total. No extras. A lot of topping options and sauce options. Bowl was very good... but maybe a tad overpriced. Service: Place wasn't busy at the hour I went in (approx. 1pm). So, quick service. Person who took my ordered gave recommendations on sauces. Very polite. Ambience: Clean, white walls and tables. A little basic besides the cute neon light that was good for a photo op. Napkin and utensil station was clean.

We ended up here for unplanned dinner but I was pleasantly surprised by our meal. The portion was a bit small for the price but overall I thought it was better quality than some other places I've tried. We were greeted upon entering and they were ready to serve us. Everything is listed out on the menu above but I like actually seeing the ingredients, which you can see but nothing is labeled so I was constantly looking up at the screen and down at the counter. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward and similar ordering style to other build your own poke bowl places. Everything tasted very fresh and I loved that they had some things that aren't commonly at other places like the lemon wedges, cream cheese bites, and togarashi. I was not a fan of the crab salad though, it had more of a tuna salad texture which I wasn't a fan of. Would definitely consider eating here again if I was in this shopping center! It's not an everyday kind of place though since our total came out to $40 for two poke bowls and a side of rice (which was $4 and I thought that was really unnecessary considering you can buy a small bag under $10). But it's a good option if you're wanting poke in Folsom.

The quality of fish was very good! We were very happy with flavor and the options available. The establishment was clean and nice. The staff weren't exactly "inviting" which was unfortunate. The bowls are on the smaller side compared to other poke places I have been to. But if you like good poke I'd give it a try.

Was craving poke and this place got it satisfied! It was so delicious clean place and great service and great poke!

My husband and I came in to grab a couple of poke bowls for dinner last night. The fish (we chose spicy tuna and salmon) was fresh, the sauces and toppings were tasty. Portions were generous! We chose to take our orders home to eat, but could've had a nice little dinner date right there, as the place had plenty of available seating, and was clean and cutely set up. The cheerful young man who served us, Jason, patiently and accurately completed our orders . Two thumbs up for yummy food and great service!

Great spot in Folsom for poke bowls. I always do well with the regular, in fact, I have a hard time finishing it, but my husband always devours the large. Friendly staff, very clean and great selection of fish. Sometimes not all the fish looks amazing so I just get what looks good. I've never been disappointed. The sauces and toppings are varied and they don't hold back. We like to eat there but it seems most people do take out. I also like that they have some outdoor tables. Great for lunch or dinner.

Tuna Poke Nachos (Spicy) Folsom version is just some pieces of tuna and A LOT of mayo, and some jalapeños??

This place clearly not owned by anyone who has had real poke. If you're hoping to get a taste of Hawaiian poke, this is not it. Better to just go to a sushi restaurant.

I wished I like it. Ahi is old and nothing is fresh. Everything needs more flavor. Nothing bets hawaii poke. Customer service was nice.

Great sushi and great service…read more I've been here a couple times and also ordered to go; I have always been pleased with the quality of their food and the kindness of their staff. Two times, we have gone with our kids when they were infants and toddlers. The staff was very kind and patient with them and found a place where we could all sit without waking the baby. They have a great happy hour and their sushi is delicious. They give great cuts of fish and each roll is unique and tasty. My father in law LOVES their sesame chicken bento box too.

Wait time was only about 15 minutes when I walked in there was a good amount of people eating so it's nice to know that on a Friday night people are still here. The moment I open that to go box the sushi roll was pleasantly colorful and organized well. I really like that they included all the condiments inside that to go box. My first bite was very delicious I tasted a lot of the fish versus rice which is always hard to find at certain places when the ratio isn't right. Service was 5 stars for me! We will definitely come back and dine in to get the full experience. Give this place a shot! Really good sushi here!

The staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean, I used their restroom and it's clean. I always do this coz this is really important to me. If they treat the restroom really good that says about the food they serve as well. Their decor is simply nice and beautiful as well. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, and not too pricey. However, I just learned about their AYCE sushi when I read the reviews the next day. Wish we had known before we ordered so that we can try it. We appreciate the experience, attentive service, and their high-quality food. They even put orchid flower on a couple of the plates we ordered as a decor. Some staff recommended for us trying the Chirashi Don bowl or innovative sushi rolls but we declined. Parking is free and ample. Next to Ranch 99 so you can go after you eat if you need to go groceries. Highly recommended.

The order was ready in about 15 minutes, as estimated. I ordered the Spicy Ramen, but skipped the egg and pork (and requested extra veggies in their place). They did seem to give extra veggies, and the bowl was loaded with spinach and mushroom slices, along with several fish cakes and peppers. The Ramen noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed eating everything, except the broth itself (not much flavor, and salty, to my taste). My husband looked at photos here on Yelp, and found one labeled "Stir fried veggie udon". That isn't on the online menu, and when I tried to order it, I was told that it was Veggie Udon (which is usually cooked in broth) "stir-fried in Teriyaki sauce" (not on the menu). And indeed it was. He loved it. The Teriyaki sauce was not overly sweet (like many other places). The stir-fry was well done (not oily), with a very good selection of veggies, and some tofu. The veggies and noodles were cooked to perfection. It was a big hit for him. Prices were quite reasonable, and the few people I interacted with were very pleasant. It was a very nice lunch experience.

The spicy edamame was really good too, cooked right and had a nice spicy flavor to them with lots of garlic! We used to be asked if we wanted the veggie noodle spicy or not, when I asked waitress she said it's not spicy. So I was confused because we have always been asked about our preference. I literally crave the spicy version we've always had before. Luckily I had the spiciness from the edamame dish and used some of that on it. They were very busy which is why I didn't reduce my review by a star because they had forgot to refill our water and bring napkins after I had asked for them.

The sauces are good but if you aren't used to a hint of sweetness adjust your taste buds. The Lucky 7 and Ichiban are yummy. The Ichiban is sweeter than I'd prefer but it was still my favorite. The Lucky 7 was hubby's gave. We both could've passed on the Queen Bee . The lemon on top of the Queen Bee caught us off guard but if you like a lot of lemon on sushi you'll like it. The single chile signal for "spiciness" should probably be 1/2 of a chile. These rolls were not what we would consider spicy (we can take a lot of Creole heat) . This is a great price point for lunch and I will FOR SURE be coming back and you should for sure come here for lunch!
