Had a lovely evening at Fats last night. Great atmosphere. Fab service by Josh at the bar. Not only did he create fab margarita, he also made a great non alcoholic refreshing and delicious drinks topped with mint and blackberry. Took his reco on the chicken lettuce wraps with plum sauce. So tasty and very nice portion. Along with potstickers. They have extensive food menu but this was perfect for the appetite.

We go to Fats weekly (usually Fat Tuesday happy hour) the tables at the bar fill up quickly. Tonight we tried 2 new dishes. The tempura asparagus was amazing with a delicious aioli. The eggplant chicken dish was quite tasty with an amazing sauce. As always our servers & genius bartenders Ann & Sean made our drinks perfectly & extra delicious. They are both so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! Cheers.

We took the MIL to Fats for a pre-birthday dinner since hers is on Thanksgiving this year. This restaurant has been a staple in Folsom for a long time, sadly we haven't been here in ages. Which gave a perfect opportunity for this review. There is ample parking. Inside is decorated beautifully and plenty of booths and tables to accommodate large and small parties. They also have a bar area with televisions for sports fans. Our server was friendly and very efficient. Bring an empty belly because Fats serves family style and their portions are generous. We dined on won ton soup, garlic noodles, orange chicken, and pork fried rice. They even celebrated my MIL's birthday with a complimentary slice of their famous banana cream pie to her delight. Thank goodness for their to go boxes! If you are looking for a delicious meal in a lovely setting Fats will hit a home-run for you!

Came here on a Sunday for lunch and not busy at all so we were seated quickly. Our waitress informed us they do family style with the plates since it was our first time here. We ordered four dishes and did have some leftover to take home but I was expecting a lot bigger dishes. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp and beef chow fun. The shrimp was really good! I liked the crisp from the lightly fried batter and the amount of sauce was good. The beef chow fun was too salty for my liking. My sister ordered the Kung pao shrimp and bulgogi lo mein but I was too full to try her food. I also got a slice of banana cream pie to go since Fats is known for their pie. I thought the pie was okay. Definitely on the pricier side. Service was good though. Restaurant is dimly lit but lots of seating and tables where you could have a large gathering here.

First time coming to Fats - you walk in the place is stunning inside! We had the pad Thai so flavorful and not too heavy. The orange chicken was crispy, tangy, and just the right amount of sweet with a kick! . And the crab rangoon...Absolute perfection--crispy outside with a creamy, flavorful filling. Service was friendly, attentive and did not feel rushed.

Such a wonderful experience. I went here with my husband and grandmother and we had a great time. We each got something off their Tuesday menu where everything is $17 and the portions were perfect. I got a sour watermelon margarita and it was so delicious I just had to get two. The emperors garden is a delicious meal for vegetarians as it offers a wide range of vegetables. You can also add tofu, which was cooked perfectly! Highly recommend Fats for anyone looking for something more upscale and intimate. It was delicious, service was phenomenal, and we will definitely be back.

Great service at the bar from master mixologist Dan. Very personable and professional. I had the Louie shrimp salad soooo good. Lots of shrimp and wonderful Louie dressing. This is a very comfortable spot not too loud but a happy place to be in. When in town this is it! See you here

Drove by here in a road trip. Saw the Happy Hour on Yelp, so ventured in. There was about only a 5 to 10 minutes wait at the bar area (for HH, only the bar tall tables). Ambiance was nice, like a upscale, PF Chang copy cat restaurant. Noise level was also not loud, beautiful decorations and spacious. The server was as attentive as he could be. He was also bar-tending at the same time, as serving the tables at the bar area. We ordered a few items in the Happy Hour menu, as it was only around 4pm: neither lunch or dinner. The presentation was quite nice. However, all dishes were quite bland. California roll was only 4 pieces. If the chefs put slight more effort into the flavors of the all the dishes, I would have given 4 stars. Ribs were too salty. The fried rice could use a bit more salt. The pot stickers could have been pan fried slightly more for a crispier texture outside. The chicken could have more salt. And I do not eat very salty food too. Definitely a place I would not purposely come, driving a long way. It was convenient and just there. Parking was easy too, a covered one level garage, or plenty of outside parking.

This restaurant is beautiful! Love the setting, they have sections where they can seat a party of 8, perfect for celebrating Birthdays and Anniversary with your family. The service was bit disappointing as one of our friends order never arrived even after being reminded several times. The food is decent but not the best Chinese food in town, we ordered bunch of dishes buy nothing was spectacular to say it was yum. Don't go here expecting the best Chinese food, go here for experience.

Fats Asia Bistro, I am in love with this place. We literally spent about 3 hours here just eating and vibing. Alejandro, made is feel like we were VIP from start to finish. He gave us great drink recommendations and he was there every step of the way to make sure we had the best dining experience possible. I can't wait to come back. We came here to celebrate a birthday which was great. Now it's time to bring the hubby and a few couples so we can just vibe.

Then the first thing that caught my attention was the poke bowls starting at $22. It felt like an obscene number (and now, I assume that it is on par with this shopping center), but I was really wanting poke for lunch. The staff were friendly, but I was even more disappointed with how liberal they were with the rice and greens, but then throttled the fish servings with the cookie dough scooper. It was even more tough when I see the other working helping out their friend and giving an extra half scoop. After trying it, it definitely wasn't worth $24 for the medium, but it was quite tasty. While I would default to the 3 out of 5, I did appreciate the worker doing the sauces in a separate bowl with the veggies and non-marinted fish, while keeping the marinated fish in the bowl. I appreciate this intentionality, and would come back in a heartbeat if it was priced at even 16/18/20. But unless I really wanted poke again, I don't see myself paying that much again for it.

And we got to squeak in an order of the Ahi Nachos, which I believe are only offered on Happy Hour, and OMG, they were SO good. We were still talking about them the next day. The "nachos" were like a fried wonton. And just all around, the entire dish was delicious! Spicy jalapeños, quality tuna. Go to this place, even JUST for these nachos. The spicy crab (or lobster, I can't remember) bisque, was also really good. I'd recommend it. Mildly spicy, not crazy. My coworker got the caesar salad, and was very underwhelmed with it. For my entree I got the Pesto Scallop pasta. The scallops were overcooked, and underwhelming, in size. But I acknowledge that could just be the season. Doesn't excuse the fact that they were overcooked. The pesto sauce was yummy! I give this place a solid 4 stars, and would definitely revisit next time I'm back in the area. Ahi Tuna Nachos get a 5 star, though, for sure. Thanks for hosting us!

I first made a reservation online, one week in advance for 5pm on a Tuesday. In the reservation notes, I specifically requested a table on the patio (I have a toddler that is in the throwing food on the ground phase), requesting a high chair and stating this dinner is for a 69th birthday dinner. When we arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled reservation, we had to wait almost 15 minutes past our reservation because our table outside was not ready. We had to wait for them to get cushions for the patio chairs, wait time 15 minutes. When they brought us back to the table stating it was "ready" - it wasn't; the table was not wiped down, there was not a high chair, no napkins/utinsils - needless to say, the table was still not ready. After almost 30 minutes past our reservation time, we finally sat down. Our server Nick was cool, personable and provided good recommendations. The best thing we ordered was the lobster roll. One of the best I have ever tried. They have a good selection of starters, seems to be their bread and butter at Eldo, just the starters. The oysters 1/2 doz for $24 was pretty good, nice and fresh oysters. The following entrees were pretty salty which included the Eldo Burger and Bolognese. My shrimp skewers were okay, it came with 2 skewers and the rest of the plate was a cucumber salad, a lot of roasted potatoes and 2 large homemade pita flatbread, nothing to write home about with the entrees. Pretty disappointing all together with the main dishes. With a bill of $325, sad to say Eldo is overrated in my honest opinion, sadly not rushing back for a second visit anytime soon.

She patiently explained the menu and answered all of our questions. We ordered across the menu: a ribeye, a filet, the salmon, and one of the daily specials, scallops. There were a couple of substitutions: extra spinach instead of mashed potatoes with the salmon and fingerling potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes with the ribeye. I ordered the Brussels sprouts as well. Everything was delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. The proteins were substantial, well worth the price. FOOD we started with the chilled prawn cocktail. the prawns were fantastic, and the cocktail sauce was divine. we jumped into a cup of lobster bisque; which was something i was looking forward to. unfortunately, the soup tasted like a very bland tomato fish soup. ugh. it lacked flavor and i don't think there was hardly any lobster in it. major bummer! we go the surf and turf (with lobster), the rib eye, and mushrooms and brussels to accompany the steaks. TONS of food, which was nice (especially for the price)! both steaks were ordered medium rare; the filet was cooked as ordered and the rib eye was on the medium/medium well side. however, the major bummer with the rib eye was the menu states well marbled but the steak gas VERY fatty when you're paying $62 for a USDA prime, "well-marbled" (per the menu's description) steak, the last thing i'd expect is to describe the steak as more fatty then marbled. the sides were great; the garlic mashed potatoes with the soy wasabi sauce were incredible! SERVICE our server started out very attentive and progressively we saw him less and less throughout the night; waiting for the check, needing water refills, etc. i get that everyone has busy tables and the F&B industry is having a tough time, but dang. at a place like this, i'd expect top notch service throughout the dining experience! AMBIANCE it's very nice inside. super cool bar when you first walk in. lots of spacious seating so you're not sitting on top of one another and modern decor. after having worked in F&B, i totally understand the industry; some nights people call out, larger parties consume the kitchen, etc. but for the price, nothing really seemed to blow us out of the water :( hopefully it was just a bad night that we went. it has a great reputation for a reason! hoping the next visit is a better experience!

But in general, if you come a little earlier, it looks like they have the full menu, and service is actually pretty great. I would say the food is a solid six or seven out of 10, and we are serious foodies over here, husband went to culinary school. I think also people giving this place such poor reviews are also not keeping in mind the view. And dining outdoors. That is definitely a huge part of the experience here. And worth a little extra money. I would say the Food, the service, and the environment All make for a pretty good experience worth returning To. For food I would recommend the burrata salad and crawdad bucket. We also got the skewers and fish tacos which left room for desire.

The atmosphere was still nice, but I do think the food would have been a lot better if we had visited on a regular day with their full menu. That said, the drinks were excellent, well-made, refreshing, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Even with the buffet setup, the bar really stood out. Overall, I'd be interested in coming back on a normal service day to get the full experience, because the drinks alone were impressive.

My wife and I glanced at the clock and realized we could make it to Manderes just in time for Happy…read moreHour. We started off with an order (2) Pork Sliders and Brewhouse Fries. The slider was a bit too spicy (it's not THAT spicy) for my wife which meant more for me. The fries were done just the way I like them. The fries come with ketchup as well as cucumber wasabi ranch, which was just a little spicy. My wife stuck with the ketchup. We then decided to split an order of Korean barbecue beef. The meat was thinly sliced and deliciously marinated. The rice and the cucumber salad were very good and the stir fry vegetables were cooked perfectly with just the littlest bit of crunch left in them. Everything was delicious. Our server made sure that our drinks never got below half and our bill was promptly brought out as soon as the take-home box was delivered. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff was really hustling and we were in and out in an hour without feeling rushed. It is a brew house vibe and there were TVs tuned to hockey, NBA basketball and NFL Football. The crowd checked off every demographic. I loved that they were almost completely full, yet it was quiet enough to carry on a conversation. It's no wonder two different sets of friends said this is their go-to restaurant in Folsom.

Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to find what looked and felt like a local upscale pub with a large bar with TVs and various tables scattered around. The menu offers something for everyone, and the portions are generous. I opted to start with the garlic bread with a dipping sauce, followed by the Southwestern chicken salad entree special. The bread crust had garlic baked onto it, and the dipping sauce was huge and flavorful. The Southwestern salad exceeded my expectations. It was huge! The chicken was grilled and blackened and cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fresh lettuce with black beans, chopped onions, and blue cheese with a spicy dressing that was fantastic. The dish was so good that I'm tempted to go back tomorrow night. If you're looking for a casual dining spot with a friendly local vibe and amazing food, Manderes fits the bill! I appreciated the fact they had a couple of NA beer options along with a nice selection of beer on tap. Highly recommend!
