Thin fillet of Cantonese Style Salmon, Sea Bass

I was impressed by how clean and modern the restaurant was. We had a chicken dish, tofu, and the crispy noodles, and all three were great. The dishes were flavorful, and the chicken and tofu came with generous portions of mixed stir-fried vegetables. I was actually sitting in the restaurant, ready to write a five-star Yelp review, when the Cantonese sea bass arrived. For $30, it was a tiny, roughly 1 cm-thick fillet of white fish. I had been trying to order the crispy version, but perhaps due to my error, the steamed version with ginger and soy sauce came out. It still did taste good. But seriously, many restaurants serve a whole fish for that price, not a small, previously frozen fillet. It disappeared in about five minutes, which was disappointing, especially since the portions of everything else were reasonable. When I come back I will confirm if they have whole fish, otherwise I would pass. Finally, I would recommend they offer a real homemade crunchy chili oil without vinegar. What they brought out looked and tasted more like oily sambal than chili oil. Overall, the food and atmosphere were very good, but the sea bass kept this from being a five-star experience.

Great food, great service everyone is kind and excited to see you. Had the Korean steak strips- so tasty! The walnut prawns -huge and perfect! The Korean spare ribs had great flavor and were tender. The chicken fried rice was the best I had in Sacramento area. Beautiful ambiance

True rating: 3.5/5 My husband and I came here for lunch and got their Sichuan chicken and pork with eggplant dish. For the lunch special it was $15.75/each. Came with a hot and sour soup. We felt like the dishes were good but not very memorable. They also didn't feel very "meat" heavy. There were a ton of veggies for both plates which can be nice but felt it was skimping on the meat. The soup was actually my favorite! The inside is very clean and modern. Service was quick, nice, and attentive! I'm glad we went to try a new restaurant but not dying to go back. Looking for some other new and yummy Chinese restaurants around sac!

We stumbled upon Folsom Palace while in the area and what a great decision. The decor inside the restaurant is colorful, classy, and such a vibe. I loved it and the service! Wow amazingly friendly and accommodating. Our server had a lot of energy. We ordered the wonton soup, pork fried rice, chicken Thai basil chow fun and the Korean bbq short ribs. Everything tasted delicious and came out hot! You'll have to stop by and check it out for yourself!

12-25-2025 4:30 pm. Ambiance: Awesome setting. You have several big screen TVs to watch sports while waiting for your food. You can view the kitchen while they cook your meals. Pretty awesome. Service: Amazing. We had nine people and our waters and drinks stayed full. The food was served fresh, hot, and correctly. Nice selection of beer, sodas, and wine. Food: The best Chinese food in the Sacramento area; hands down. Everything we tried was amazingly delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Bejing Beef and Baos. We paid for 4 people and with 20% tip the total was 200.00. Worth every penny!

I chose this restaurant for Mother's Day as their food is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful. It is an Asian fusion restaurant with a mix of modern decor with traditional Chinese art. Despite making a reservation we had to wait for our table and it took a while for our food to come out. Everything was incredible: even the most simple dish was flavorful, and everything was spicy and seasoned perfectly. My kids were picky Eaters and happily ate everything. The staff was upbeat and friendly despite how busy it was; the manager was laughing that he was Superman running around. I can see why people chose to take their moms out for this special day at this restaurant. I was happy to make memories there.

This was a hard review to give a number to. I'll explain. First of all, I've been here several times and the food is excellent. The restaurant is pretty inside and comfortable and clean. There is seating inside and out. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. My review is based on a situation that happened the last time I went in for lunch. I got my bill and it was not correct, according to their menu and their website. The website says one price for lunch special, the in person hard cover menu says another price and I was charged five dollars more than both of those prices. I had Sweet and Sour Chicken lunch which was a small portion of chicken and a small portion of Fried Rice. No appetizer with the lunch special. I did not want the soup. It was $18.95 on my bill. I had an order of six pot stickers and my lunch portion of chicken and water....and the bill was (with 20% tip) $43.50. Yes, $43.50 for one person for lunch. I knew the price was incorrect and asked my waiter. He said oh yeah, they've raised the prices two times....but never changed the online menu or the hard cover table menu. I don't think this is okay. There was not a manager or anyone available to talk to about it. The price for both items I had was more than advertised. I do not have the means to spend that much for lunch for one person! So unfortunately I won't come back to this good spot. I will reiterate, the food is good!

The food was good. The lemon pepper chicken was fire. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious and lastly the chicken rice was good. The service was on point and he never missed a beat. The environment was nice and the ambiance of the place was dope. Music was great. Very calm and good vibes

The place is very nice and modern. I was greeted quickly by a very friendly gentleman. I observed several people eating at the tables. I placed a to-go order around 1pm on a weekday. It took about 10 minutes to receive my order. I ordered one of the lunch combinations of chicken chow mein, rice, and chicken w/ veggies. It tasted good and satisfied my craving for Chinese food that day. Parking was available and easy considering the lot is shared by a few other businesses. Overall, good chinese food and great customer service.

Best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. The Mongolian beef was so tender and sizzling hot. The Szechuan chicken was packed with flavor and veggies were crunchy (which is how I like it). The combination chow fun was also incredible. Service was great. The ambiance is spectacular; there are multiple TVs and a bar, so you can watch a sporting event while eating excellent Chinese food lol. I will definitely come back

Gamsahamnida! Back…read moreagain, and the food and service continue to be great! The chicken katsu is still one of the best I've had--light, crispy, and perfectly crunchy on the outside, with juicy, tender chicken inside. Every visit has been consistently delicious, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I also tried the spicy pork again. It's a bit different from the Korean spicy pork I'm used to. Instead of the pork being marinated so the flavor is deeply infused, it seems to be grilled first and then coated with the sauce. While it's not the traditional style I expected, it's still flavorful and worth trying if you're open to a different take on the dish. In addition the chicken gangjeong dish that requires it to be "deep fried chicken" needs additional time to get crunchy like you would expect. I think the sauce may have made the crunch disappear. The consistency in both the food and the service is what keeps bringing me back. I'm looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu. Other: -plenty of parking -bathroom inside -on hot days it's a little warm in the restuaruant *local family business*

Crispy, golden breading with a juicy pork cutlet underneath, smothered in a rich, savory Japanese-style curry that was comforting without being too heavy. Served with rice and fresh cabbage slaw, it made for a complete, satisfying meal. The bibimbap was fresh and well balanced, with plenty of vegetables, tender beef, and a perfectly fried egg that tied everything together. Every bite had a great mix of textures and flavor. The vibe is casual and welcoming. This is the kind of neighborhood spot you'll want to come back to whenever you're craving Korean comfort food. Rex Tip: Mix the bibimbap thoroughly before your first bite. Every ingredient is meant to come together, and that's when the flavors really shine. 5 ROARS from Focusaurus Rex

I just experienced the best food and hospitality from Hometown Dumpling…read more I went for lunch on a Friday and with their help, I ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings, BBQ pork buns, and my favorite, sesame balls. The portions were generous, and everything was delicious. There were so many dumplings in the order that I couldn't finish them, and I took them, cold, to my teenager, and she thought they were fantastic. Further, they let me stay in their restaurant and finish a work project. I took up a seat and they were nothing but accommodating to me. I really appreciate all the hospitality that they showed me while I was there working.

The menu also has wonton soup, noodles, soup dumplings, fried spring rolls, crab rangoons, cucumber salad (Asian style), Chinese egg custards, bbq pork buns, sesame red bean paste fried balls,, stir fry veggies, taro steamed buns, and some other items. I've tried the dumplings boiled, steamed, and pan fried. The boiled ones are slippery and best when I'm in the mood to have them swirled in a sauce like hot chili oil. Streamed ones have a slight chew to the dumpling exterior than the boiled or fried dumplings. But doesn't take away from the taste. Pan fried is good when you want a crispier exterior and slight crunch. Whatever way you order 'em... it's all good! The egg custards, sesame balls, and crab rangoons are classic and my other go tos. I enjoy the diversity of the menu. Gotta confess, in Folsom there is not a lot of these good authentic dumpling places. Plus throw in some dim sum items...score! Is it Michelin star, no. It is homemade and comforting, yes! The place is clean, comfortable, and has basic furnishings and decor. There is no music or TV. The owner works most of the shifts. It truly is a small family business that welcomes your family.

Customer Service: 0/10 It was our first time here, and the staff did not greet us when we walked in. We ordered our food from a kiosk, and the young Asian lady working didn't even inform us that there was self-serve water or where to find to-go boxes; we had to figure it out ourselves and go ask. Worse, she completely ignored my daughter when she tried to ask a question, literally trying to make herself look busy even though she knew my daughter was speaking to her. During our meal, we noticed that while she completely ignored us, she actively greeted and thanked the other customers who came in after us. When we left, she was standing right at the cash register and completely ignored us again. It is incredibly disappointing to see an employee be so selective about who they want to greet and provide decent customer service to. Furthermore, whether she is part of the family that owns the place or not, her attire was entirely inappropriate for a work environment--she was wearing black-and-white checkered pajama pants with an oversized t-shirt. Professionalism and basic courtesy seem entirely missing here. Please do better. Food Review: * Cucumber Salad: Had no flavor. It was basically just sliced cucumber tossed with some sesame oil. I love cucumber salad, so this was a major disappointment. Rate: 0/10 * Chili Wonton: Super plain with literally no flavor. I love chili wontons, and these were completely tasteless. Imagine eating wontons with absolutely no seasoning. Rate: 0/10 * Chow Mein: This was okay--probably the best dish out of everything we ordered. Rate: 3/10 * Black & Gold Molten Lava Bun: It looked interesting with a sweet, glittering liquid gold filling inside, but it wasn't as good as it looked. While the bun was soft, the filling fell short. Rate: 2/10 * Shrimp & Pork Shaomai: Just okay. We've had much better elsewhere. The outside wraps were dried out and chewy. Rate: 3/10 Would I come again or recommend anyone who happens to be nearby: No. Go somewhere else.
