Thin fillet of Cantonese Style Salmon, Sea Bass

I was impressed by how clean and modern the restaurant was. We had a chicken dish, tofu, and the crispy noodles, and all three were great. The dishes were flavorful, and the chicken and tofu came with generous portions of mixed stir-fried vegetables. I was actually sitting in the restaurant, ready to write a five-star Yelp review, when the Cantonese sea bass arrived. For $30, it was a tiny, roughly 1 cm-thick fillet of white fish. I had been trying to order the crispy version, but perhaps due to my error, the steamed version with ginger and soy sauce came out. It still did taste good. But seriously, many restaurants serve a whole fish for that price, not a small, previously frozen fillet. It disappeared in about five minutes, which was disappointing, especially since the portions of everything else were reasonable. When I come back I will confirm if they have whole fish, otherwise I would pass. Finally, I would recommend they offer a real homemade crunchy chili oil without vinegar. What they brought out looked and tasted more like oily sambal than chili oil. Overall, the food and atmosphere were very good, but the sea bass kept this from being a five-star experience.

True rating: 3.5/5 My husband and I came here for lunch and got their Sichuan chicken and pork with eggplant dish. For the lunch special it was $15.75/each. Came with a hot and sour soup. We felt like the dishes were good but not very memorable. They also didn't feel very "meat" heavy. There were a ton of veggies for both plates which can be nice but felt it was skimping on the meat. The soup was actually my favorite! The inside is very clean and modern. Service was quick, nice, and attentive! I'm glad we went to try a new restaurant but not dying to go back. Looking for some other new and yummy Chinese restaurants around sac!

We stumbled upon Folsom Palace while in the area and what a great decision. The decor inside the restaurant is colorful, classy, and such a vibe. I loved it and the service! Wow amazingly friendly and accommodating. Our server had a lot of energy. We ordered the wonton soup, pork fried rice, chicken Thai basil chow fun and the Korean bbq short ribs. Everything tasted delicious and came out hot! You'll have to stop by and check it out for yourself!

Great food, great service everyone is kind and excited to see you. Had the Korean steak strips- so tasty! The walnut prawns -huge and perfect! The Korean spare ribs had great flavor and were tender. The chicken fried rice was the best I had in Sacramento area. Beautiful ambiance

12-25-2025 4:30 pm. Ambiance: Awesome setting. You have several big screen TVs to watch sports while waiting for your food. You can view the kitchen while they cook your meals. Pretty awesome. Service: Amazing. We had nine people and our waters and drinks stayed full. The food was served fresh, hot, and correctly. Nice selection of beer, sodas, and wine. Food: The best Chinese food in the Sacramento area; hands down. Everything we tried was amazingly delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Bejing Beef and Baos. We paid for 4 people and with 20% tip the total was 200.00. Worth every penny!

This was a hard review to give a number to. I'll explain. First of all, I've been here several times and the food is excellent. The restaurant is pretty inside and comfortable and clean. There is seating inside and out. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. My review is based on a situation that happened the last time I went in for lunch. I got my bill and it was not correct, according to their menu and their website. The website says one price for lunch special, the in person hard cover menu says another price and I was charged five dollars more than both of those prices. I had Sweet and Sour Chicken lunch which was a small portion of chicken and a small portion of Fried Rice. No appetizer with the lunch special. I did not want the soup. It was $18.95 on my bill. I had an order of six pot stickers and my lunch portion of chicken and water....and the bill was (with 20% tip) $43.50. Yes, $43.50 for one person for lunch. I knew the price was incorrect and asked my waiter. He said oh yeah, they've raised the prices two times....but never changed the online menu or the hard cover table menu. I don't think this is okay. There was not a manager or anyone available to talk to about it. The price for both items I had was more than advertised. I do not have the means to spend that much for lunch for one person! So unfortunately I won't come back to this good spot. I will reiterate, the food is good!

I chose this restaurant for Mother's Day as their food is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful. It is an Asian fusion restaurant with a mix of modern decor with traditional Chinese art. Despite making a reservation we had to wait for our table and it took a while for our food to come out. Everything was incredible: even the most simple dish was flavorful, and everything was spicy and seasoned perfectly. My kids were picky Eaters and happily ate everything. The staff was upbeat and friendly despite how busy it was; the manager was laughing that he was Superman running around. I can see why people chose to take their moms out for this special day at this restaurant. I was happy to make memories there.

The food was good. The lemon pepper chicken was fire. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious and lastly the chicken rice was good. The service was on point and he never missed a beat. The environment was nice and the ambiance of the place was dope. Music was great. Very calm and good vibes

The place is very nice and modern. I was greeted quickly by a very friendly gentleman. I observed several people eating at the tables. I placed a to-go order around 1pm on a weekday. It took about 10 minutes to receive my order. I ordered one of the lunch combinations of chicken chow mein, rice, and chicken w/ veggies. It tasted good and satisfied my craving for Chinese food that day. Parking was available and easy considering the lot is shared by a few other businesses. Overall, good chinese food and great customer service.

Review #666 Spoooky!!!! Lol…read more Wow!! Delicious!! After our day date, we worked up an appetite. He told me about Beijing Gourmet and how good he thought it was. Haha, ok. I'll bite. We were about 20 minutes away when we ordered by phone. We went with some Sesame Chicken and Chicken Chowmein. When we arrived we were still waiting since they were making orders ahead of us. We sat in the dining room, which is not set up for anyone to dine in. This seemed to be only a pick up type of place. After about 15 more minutes our order was ready. The woman was so nice and packed up a couple plates, with silverware, napkins, soy sauce, and fortune cookies. We hopped back into the truck and drove back to his house for the remainder of our date. After another 20 minute drive, we went inside and out food was still piping hot! The only issue we had was that the paper plates were so thin. We literally only got 2 of the thinnest plates you could find on the market. Putting anything on them would bleed through... so if you ask for plates double or triple up what you really need. The Sesame Chicken was very good. Cooked fresh. The crunch on the outside of the chicken and the taste of the sauce was spot on. The Chicken Chowmein noodles were just as delicious! This spot was so close to my parents house, I am so surprised I had never discovered it! Good food ended with a gorgeous night!!

04.26.26 Mama (that's me) was in the mood for some Chinese,…read moreso instead of taking hubby for a sit down spot in Roseville/Granite Bay I've been meaning to take him to, we opted for takeout close to home. We've tried several spots in the area after our typical go-to hadn't been great the last few times we ordered. So, I turned to my trusty Yelp and found Pearl House. Hubs knew exactly where it was--next door to Grocery Outlet. I thought it was closed last time we were at GC, like closed closed. So when we saw pics from 3days ago, we knew that wasn't the case. Being 7pm on a Sunday, we saw they closed at 9pm. So, looked at their menu online, we decided on our order: Hubs' go-to whenever trying a new place is General Tso's Chicken, and I tried something new-Happy Family because I was in the mood for a protein variety dish, and this had quite the variety: scallop, shrimp, calamari, crabmeat, chicken, BBQ pork, and beef with a plethora or veggies. We also wanted egg rolls. I called and a lady answered, took my order, and said it'd be ready in 10min. Didn't take my name or number-wow! Not only did I think that was kinda crazy, but TEN minutes?!?! This was either gunna blow my mind or be horrible. We drove over and upon entering there were a few people inside leaving--not sure if they were also to-go or has finished eating there. I looked around and saw many empty tables, but clean looking dining room area. A lady behind the counter wearing a face mask asked to help me. I let her know I was there to pick up, and she asked what I ordered. Our order was already boxed up ready to go. Our total? $41 before tip. I asked her if they did sit down, she confirmed yes. Then I told her it was my first time in there, to which she asked where I lived and that they've been there for 37 YEARS! Then she said she hopes we like our food and to see us again. I grabbed a to-go menu and went on my way. The food smelled good and when we got home, I grabbed my own chopsticks and hot chili oil, and was ready to grub. In the box, besides our ordered food, they included sweet & sour sauce for the egg rolls, as well as soy sauce packets and individually wrapped fortune cookies. I first went for an eggroll, which was surprisingly longer in length than most other places. Took a bite and enjoyed that wonderful crispy outside texture, and saw it was veggie only inside--whomp, whomp. In my mind, these should really be called spring rolls. However, these had some REALLY great flavor!! Hubs enjoys meat in his rolls, but after explaining the flavor, he still tried one himself and was quite happy with it. He had taken a bite of his GT Chicken and said it was pretty good. He said it tasted a little too sweet, almost dessert-y, but that it was also really good. I tried a small piece and liked how crispy it was even in all the sweet sauciness. Then I opened my dish and boy oh boy did it look good. Now before I talk about how it tasted, I need to explain what I thought I was getting. The menu said all those proteins I mentioned, and that it was tossed with snow pea pods, broccoli tips, mushrooms (which I ordered without) and baby corn. All veggies I enjoy! So, what my dish actually came with (as you can see in my pic), there was onions, carrots, celery, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, NO calamari or baby corn or BBQ pork. That all said, I was most disappointed in not having the calamari, BBQ pork or baby corn. Sad, yes. But the overall dish made up for it. With that, I was not mad AT ALL, and surprisingly ate the entire thing in one sitting--NOT a usual thing for me!! Granted, I hadn't eaten since breakfast, but still. It was DEE-LICIOUS and I'll say Dee-approved!! I'm literally writing this review immediately after eating dinner because it was THAT good y'all! I couldn't not let my people know that Pearl House is legit and it's obvious why they've been around for 37 years. This may be our new go-to spot for that neighborhood Chinese food craving, IJS. So, if you're in the area and looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine, look no further and check out Pearl House for yourself. We most definitely will be back. P.S. And them fortune cookies are good too!

Last week I was hanging out with an old friend and our furious Pokemon go playing left us seriously famished. She mentioned this spot was a favorite of hers and that they're accommodating so I said let's get it! And I could see clearly why it's a favorite. Accommodating they absolutely were. I felt comfortable ordering what I actually wanted. We chose a booth in the corner and got to work looking over the menu. Sometimes I worry about asking a lot of questions of the server, but I didn't need to worry at all here. Jenna told the server I was vegetarian and from then on she would tell me which things I could have or could be made to order vegetarian. They have a combo dinner plate that I was allowed to make substitutions on since there were no meatless options for the combo plate on the menu. Some places don't let you do this. I ordered the vegetable medley with tofu added, veggie chow mein as the side, plus egg roll, and a cup of wonton soup without the wontons. I know that sounds weird and I wouldn't have ordered it but we also wanted a big bowl of veggie hot n sour and the server offered to do a cup of the wonton soup broth with the greens "so I could try it." (Jenna also had said I must try it and I have trusted her with my life since 2002.) When I say this alone was fantastic I'm not lying. The broth was so delicious. (Spinach and green onions were also in there soaking up the broth.) So too was the hot n sour soup. Yummmm. They won't give you a cup of it without meat but they'll make you a big bowl to order without so that's cool. My tofu and mixed vegetables was fire. The tofu wasn't too soft, and they had bamboo and water chestnuts in the medley, my favorites. Plus mushrooms and broccoli. Not as excited for squash and carrots but they hold flavors well so. I never know what I'm getting with the mixed veggies at Chinese food spots, so it's always a fun surprise to see. Don't sleep on the chow mein. It was so flippin tasty. Best I've had in a long time. Reminded me of the chow mein at my old favorite, Twin Dragon in Auburn, where I suggested we go but we decided was too far. I'm so glad we came here instead though! This place had great friendly vibes. Lots of tables and booths, busy until around the time we were done which happened to be closing time whoops. We can talk for ages and we did order a lot of food! I had enough leftovers for two meals, easy. It's a nice restaurant too, very beautifully decorated. I highly recommend coming in here for some delicious Chinese food. That combo plate I was talking about was $16 for entree, side, egg roll, and a cup of soup. My tofu sub was a couple bucks on top of it. The big bowl of soup was $11 and enough for four people. Value! Taste! Ambiance! Friendship! Oh yeah. Vegan Corner: you would need to ask but our server was so friendly explaining what can be made to order that I imagine vegan is possible Parking: busy lot with some tight spaces and terrible drivers, so typical Roseville Bathroom Report: the tiniest bit janky, but clean is what we like
