Went there to celebrate Mother's Day. When we arrived, there were already a lot of people waiting outside, so we expected a very long wait. Once we got inside, there was also a line to check in and pay, but everything moved pretty smoothly. After paying, we waited about 20 minutes before being seated, which honestly was not bad considering how busy they were. The restaurant was very clean and well organized, even during the holiday rush. The staff worked hard to keep the food stations stocked and the dining area clean. There were lots of varieties to choose from, including seafood, sushi, BBQ, noodles, desserts, and many different hot dishes. The food was fresh, hot, and constantly being refilled. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and made sure drinks and plates were taken care of quickly. Even though the restaurant was packed, the service still felt fast and professional. We came in to celebrate a birthday and we were immediately seated even though it was lunch time and there were plenty of customers but there was no wait time. It was our first time here and we all enjoyed the buffet. We just didn't like how the server treated us. Instead of giving everyone water, our server gave water only to people in our party who didn't order soda or tea. When we asked for more water, she took someone else's water (from our table) and gave it to the person who asked for water. Like, how hard is it to get another glass of water? Why would you take someone else's water (even if no one was drinking it)? Aren't buffets supposed to have unlimited drinks too? And we're talking about water here. Also, they asked for additional payment for drinks. The food was good. They had a good selection of dishes. They also had mongolian style portion where you choose what you like and have someone cook it for you. What's weird though was the glasses on top of the buffet were like a magnifying glass that's graded so it makes looking at it kinda dizzy. Being from the Bay Area, $16.99 for AYCE weekday lunch is such a steal! It's even better that they have lots of variety to choose from and are all constantly coming out fresh. You pay at the front before they usher you to your table. Since it was a weekday, it was not too crowded so they didn't seem to be super strict about the 90 min dine-in policy which I appreciate! Many, many Buffett hot tables of food with just about everything you can think of. Have not been to a Chinese buffet in a while cause I've been trying to diet and be healthier. However the temptation of sushi/sashimi and Mongolian bbq was too much to resist. The quality of the food was good considering how busy it was! I beelined for the Mongolian bbq area and probably had to wait 5-10 minutes for it to cooked. I loved that they had the LA galbi ribs for meat options! It was good! Also had the chicken which was juicy. The sushi rolls were good! I didnt know what kind of roll I was eating but it tasted fresh. Later on I got to try their fresh sashimi slices of tuna and salmon which were very good! Found this gem. One of the best assortments of food from a buffet . $24 a person on weekends . Seated right away . Very busy place which unfortunately with the tile flooring and cement bare walls it gets extremely loud. If you are there to just eat which makes sense since it's a buffet then mission accomplished but you can't have a conversion . Great assortment of food but not all the food was great. I am not usually a huge fan of buffets because they lack in flavor and quality, but this place changed my mind! They have a large variety of Asian food. Their raw fish and sushi was actually pretty good in quality. Their hibachi section has ribeye and galbi. My friends and I are huge fan of crawfish, and the ones here are huge and meaty! Was really craving crawfish and was recommended this place to eat on a budget :) Was blown away by the SIZE of them, almost mini lobsters! For 23.99 I definitely ate my moneys worth. I needed to find a place to take my crew to dinner after a long day of field work. I've found finding a place that will please 5 different people including me, Chinese buffets work out well. Everybody gets to find something that they'll like, from Chinese American food, to sushi and even ribs and French fries and pizza. Yeah, for some reason every Chinese buffet has pizza! This Hibachi Buffet is located on Sunrise about halfway between the 50 and the 80. If you're coming from the north just turn into the parking lot. But if you're coming from the south, there's no easy way to turn into the lot, so you gotta make a U-Turn at Kingswood Drive and go back to the lot. This Hibachi Buffet is huge, there a big lot and a ton of people. The inside seems super busy, but not too dirty or anything. Service is typical Chinese buffet, efficient but not there to make any friends. The food is quite the spread. The sushi section had a ton of stuff, and not just rolls, but different nigiri pieces as well. The Chinese food was typical buffet stuff, chow mien, egg rolls, some veggies and some really good wings. The quality was a little better than a lot of buffets. The food is refreshed fast so there's not empty trays. The price for dinners was around $25, plus some tax and a little tip figure about $30 per person. As long as my crew is happy, I'm happy. I do love a good buffet, and this place is okay to me. I went there to celebrate my boyfriend's family, and it was alright. It tasted like any other buffet. The galbi, though, hits differently than at other buffets. The chow mein is okay, but I found it weird that they have spaghetti as the noodles. Also, the meat was kind of bad. Let me start by saying the 1 star is not for the food or the staff -- just hygiene. The staff are kind. The food was okay -- 2.5 stars at best. Nothing special but typical for an Asian buffet. They didn't have king crab legs if that's your thing and there are no steamed crabs, only stir fried. My favorite items were the stir fried crab & corn. To get seated you have to pay for your party first and then they'll seat you. Nothing special about the decor. Just a bunch of tables to maximize the space, typical of an Asian buffet. Wow this buffet was a nice surprise on our way back to the Bay Area. We went on a Sunday and it was busy! 15 min wait for a party of 2, so not bad at all. You pay upon arrival and they give you a buzzer, so you can wait in your car if you'd like. Hibachi happens to be a pretty solid option when it comes to this category of dining, especially at dinner, which includes some really wonderful dishes, including dry and wet style stirfry crabs, frog legs, clams, and more. We seated at a large table for four and had a great view of the buffet. This was our first time as a family at a Chinese style buffet, and a first for our children who absolutely loved the huge selection of dishes. I got a kick out of eating frog legs with my four-year-old for the first time And watching as my older son was very unsure about what exactly was going on with us. The crabs were OK a little bit mushy at times but good flavor and fun to eat. The selection of sushi was just OK but then again I don't expect top-tier when it comes to these type of restaurants and the fact they offered salmon and tuna sashimi was a really nice touch for the dinner menu which still is only about $25. I also liked the addition of the hibachi, though I will say the meats that they use on this particular experience or not very good. It reminds me of casino buffets in Vegas without the price tag. The food is all fresh and chefs continuously change out and bring out new food. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I haven't ventured out to their grill to order anything but from the looks of it, I can tell that the grill option is very similar to Mongolian BBQ where you pile your bone with fresh veggies and frozen meats and it is cooked to perfection for you to enjoy. Apparently this has been here for two years and never tried it until today for lunch. It is located on Sunrise near the former Marie Callendars used to be. I remember back in the day this used to be Bobby McGees. Anyway, We planned all week for it and made sure not to eat at all beforehand. I was surprised to learn that it was only $25 for dinner or weekends all day. Most of these buffets usually run you about $40-50. You pay up front and they seat you. Drinks are a separate charge and bring it out to you. We walk in the dining area and it is MASSIVE! Six long tables with at least 18 different trays and that does not include the grill area or the ice cream and cookie station. And OH the people. They were pretty full and I estimate about 200 people if not more. It is truly a sight to walk into. Being hangry, I couldn't wait to try everything. They had a lot of seafood including sushi and frog legs! There were blue crab (very small) and crawfish if you want to fight with it. Clams, mussels, and oysters! Shrimp hot, fried, and cold. 4 different soups. Just about every traditional Chinese food possible. I appreciated the fresh fruit section and desserts. There are numerous staff clearing plates and refilling drinks without being intrusive. I never had to want. It was pretty much all self contained. So I waivered between 4 or 5 stars. At first I though whoa what a deal for $25 and it is. However, nothing really made me say mmmnnn and quite a few things I felt were not good at all. The honey walnut prawns were hard. Some things lacked flavor. The sushi was sketch. Poor quality fish. Won ton was chewy etc.... What I liked best: Hibachi grill option which ensured freshness but they only put soy sauce and teriyaki on it so it was bland. Fried chicken. Hibachi chicken stir fry was tasty. Oh and the freshly fried shrimp chips brought back childhood memories when my mom used to make them for me were delightful. I write this 5 hours after leaving here and I feel so blah from just the amount of food I ate and how it is sitting in my stomach. I didn't pile my plate but there was so much, that just one small pinch of each item to try was lot. For me, I think I would rather pay a little more to get a better quality taste and food if I am going to indulge but anyone can find something to love. It is also all very overwhelming. I've been here about a handful of times now as this is one of my dad's favorite places to eat. He invited us tonight to eat dinner together as he and my mom just came back into town. And it was a nice treat as I had not been back here in awhile. I must say for a buffet, this place has a lot of options. The ambiance looks well-lit and clean compared to most buffet places. The service was ok, most staff smile and are helpful. The only thing is that the food seem to contain msg and some of the other items taste very salty. I wish there were healthier options but not a lot of fresh greens and vegetables. It's mainly Chinese food with some American-inspired options like a salmon and tilapia filet, pizza, etc. There's also a selection of sushi, although it didn't taste that fresh tonight. They are also big on the seafood and have crab legs, oysters, clams and shrimp. I think for a fresh option you can go to the "made to order"/Mongolian bbq corner where you can choose vegetables, a protein and a starch for them to cook for you. It was busy, but didn't take too long for us to be seated in a corner area of 2 nearby tables--1 round & 1 long rectangle. We were visiting Sacramento for the first time and just staying one night, so I was looking for good places to eat. We love buffets, and when I saw that Hibachi Buffet was only $23.99 on the weekend, I was honestly surprised. That's a great deal, especially with how expensive everything is these days. They also had a wide range of sushi, which were labeled clearly, plus a selection of soups, and tons of hot dishes ranging from classic Chinese to American comfort food. What really won me over was the crab. I always feel like I get my money's worth when I can fill up on crab. They had two types the night we visited. One was deep-fried blue crab, kind of done in a salt and pepper style, and the other was Dungeness crab cooked in a ginger sauce. Both were really flavorful, and I ended up having three full plates of crab. I tried a few other dishes too, but honestly I just came back to the crab again and again. One thing I noticed and appreciated was how well they manage the food stations. There were two or three employees constantly monitoring everything. They wore headsets and would call into the kitchen whenever something was running low. That meant fresh food came out quickly and there was rarely any empty trays or long waits. They have a large variety of hot foods as well as sushi, dessert, and a hibachi grill where you fill a plate with raw meat, noodles and veggies for the chefs to cook up. I enjoyed the hibachi flavors but thought the beef was just a little bit tough.
