Ate here again recently and the food was just as good! The portion sizes are huge, so definitely getting your moneys worth. I really like the pickled cabbage dishes, and the mapo tofu is delicious. They are a little slow, but the food quality is great.

My go to place when I want some spicy, delicious comfort food. The staff are always so friendly and nice. Food is consistently good. I'm a big fan of their spicy crispy chicken and fish with pickled cabbage

Great value for the price! Wonderful Chinese restaurant with an expansive menu. As the name suggests, the food here is filled with spice, but it's mostly the use of peppers in the dish, so it's not too spicy. Their ingredients are all fresh and taste that way, with high heat stir fry dishes that are imbued with flavor.

Lunch special soup starter with peanuts. No explanation as to whether nuts were to be added to the soup or just as an additional starter.

I ordered eggplant with shredded pork. It was so comforting and delicious- flavorful without hot spiciness. If you are off out by pools of oil on the dish, I don't recommend; however, I love fat and oil and found that it added to the taste as I spooned it on my rice. Since I'm an old lady I find that I don't eat much at each meal. The remainder of this meal is enough to serve me two and possibly three more meals. This makes it quite affordable. I enjoyed the restaurant that used to occupy this space but this one is every bit as good and close by. If you're looking for tasty Chinese food and in the neighborhood please give it a try.

This place has solid Chinese food Panda Express prices. The lunch specials are a great deal. You will leave fill and satisfied. Everyone enjoyed their food including our fussy Asian food expert. Solid version of hot and sour soup, good sides and very good mains. The deep fried items like orange chicken were excellent. Service was good for a place that got busier as we dined.

clean sit down chinese restaurant. Food was good! Ordered the sesame chicken lunch plate with fried rice, tripe appetizer, spicy beef noddle soup (which was different than i was going to be, so that was a 3/5), and they gave us a complimentary dessert plate at the end which was a nice surprise! would possibly return to try other items. service and ambiance was nice!

We stumbled in this delicious eatery after a failed attempt to eat next door! We were graciously greeted and seated. My girlfriends and I had never been in this restaurant, although I take it back because I believe this used to called Hoicin, which I had been to previously years ago! Alright now back to Spicy Temptation! We ordered a plethora of food, everything from wonton in chili oil, potstickers, chicken chow mein, beef chowfun, general tsu chicken, orange chicken, chicken fried rice and ground pork sauted in thick gravy sauce with noodles! It was ALL DELICIOUS! The ambience was chill and takes me back to when I use to go eat at Chinese restaurants as a kid with my parents! Very "homey" feel. Very clean establishment, lots of parking outside! The staff was so kind and accommodating! Everything was made to order and so fresh!

The food is delicious and served in generous portions. The restaurant is clean, the sever is friendly, and our dish arrived quicker than expected. We enjoyed Mao Shei Won, Crispy Pork Rib, Braised Eggplant with String Bean, Boiled Pork Intestines in Hot Sauce, and Rice Cake with Brown Sugar as dessert. I would come again and try different dishes next time.

Came here on a Sunday night around 7pm, it was pretty empty with only two other groups at the time. Once seated we were quickly served our beverage orders and hot tea. The refills of water throughout the meal may not seem like a big deal but their attention is commendable. We may have ordered too many dishes for four people, but we didn't expect the portion sizes!!!! For the value - def worth the visit. You'll leave very satisfied, and with plenty leftovers. - Seafood tofu soup - lacking a bit of flavor, but nothing that soy sauce or chili oil couldn't fix - Stir fried eggplant, potato and peppers - great flavors, equal amount of ingredients. - Mongolian beef - def had a nice spicy kick. they didn't skimp out on the protein. My personal favorite - Beef chow mien - this was also a top favorite. Not too greasy and portioned well with protein - Crispy pork chop - we were expecting something different but it still met our flavor expectations. great presentation and the jalapeños and peanuts *there was a miscommunication in our order where we were served a braised pork dish. they generously comped the mistake. it had a rich flavor, but something I won't order but glad I tried. To top off our meal, we were served with fruit and cake squares. Great way to end the experience. I suspect the people working during my visit was a family trio - good people who know how to engage and ensure the customer is satisfied. I'll def be back!

We were greeted immediately as we entered and was seated at a nice spot next to the windows. They took our order and within like 10 minutes, we received our food. To say the least, the string beans was one of the best I've ever had and I would definitely be coming back just for this. The cumin lamb was super flavorful with the spicies and the onions. The portions for everything was very big. Also the spicy level was pretty tolerable, and there were also less spicy or nonspicy options. The spicy chicken was also very good and tasty. The peppers was alittle too spicy for me but they add an awesome kick to the dish and I would recommend to someone else who likes Malatang or very spicy food! It was pretty quiet inside and the servers came to check in and refill our waters regularly when it was low. One of the best Szechuan cuisines in Sacramento so far and I would definitely be coming back!!

Husband suggested to try as this is one of our list after trying restaurant next door. We had the crispy spicy pork rib and beef chow fun. Pork ribs is flavorful and spicy most likely salt and pepper ribs with jalapeños and garlic and chili sauce and flavor is really good if u like spicy. Chow fun is good flavor wise but noodle is thinner compared to other restaurants chow fun with thick noodles we've tasted. Restaurant is kind of old fashion with seat covers .We just pick up but customer service is great!

Finally had a chance to try this place for lunch. Place was spacious and clean. Servers were very attentive and pleasant, our waters were refilled constantly without asking. The food was amazing! The green bean beef was soo good, very tasty and not oily at all. General Tso's chicken was perfectly cooked, sweet and tangy yet still crunchy . The pork ribs was super tasty. The fish was the highlight of the day. It came out steaming hot and it was crispy and very flavorful. Best fish I've had in awhile. Can't wait to come back to try their other dishes!

Came here for dinner a couple of times, the first time I ordered the rainbow roll ($15) which is my barometer for sushi at restaurants. Decently sized, the fish was fresh and the roll was filling. Daughter ordered the ramen ($18) with the red option, which she enjoyed with the plethora of toppings. Dinner the second time, I got the teishoku set with salmon ($21). Two decently filets of salmon came with rice, miso soup, salad, deep fried egg roll and salad. You also get a choice of either croquette or chawanmushi. The chawanmushi was a highlight for me! We ordered: Appetizers: Mixed Tempura 8/10 - wish it was a smidge flakier Grilled Squid 1000/10 - might just come back alone for this. Absolute perfection, no notes Mains: 18 piece Sashimi 10/10 - large slices, scallops were definitely the start- tho no higher rating due to no description on what was being served and slightly inconvenient design even though the presentation was pretty. Double Toro roll 8/10 - my date loved it, I'm just not a big roll fan Spicy scallop hand roll 9/10 - super delicious, scallops were fresh Unagi hand roll - 10/10 - I didn't even get to try it, my date loved it Tuna maki roll - 10/10 - simple, delicious We will definitely be coming back. I will say my only note is that we ordered the appetizers first and actually waited to order our mains in hopes that the appetizers would come out first. Instead my mains came out before the appetizers and then my dates came after the appetizers came out. Everything was delicious but I hope that isn't a common habit as it made the meal feel a bit rushed and the waitresses were commenting about how much we ordered and if we could eat it all... everyone was very nice though. A little cold in the actual restaurant but makes sense to keep the fish cold.

The Cajun style seafood boils are consistent, messy in a fun way, and generally satisfying, which is a big part of why this place stays so busy. It's definitely a great spot for groups. The whole setup with the bags of seafood, sauces, and sides makes it interactive and social, and it works well when you've got a table full of people sharing everything. That said, the experience can be a bit uneven. The service is something I've always questioned. It's not always poor, but it's very inconsistent. Some visits feel smooth and attentive, others feel a bit off, especially considering how busy they usually are. Food wise, I've always had a good meal here. Nothing has ever been bad, but it also doesn't really stand out beyond what you'd expect from this style of place. It delivers on the concept without really going beyond it. Overall, it's a reliable option if you're craving a seafood boil or going out with a group, and I understand why it's popular. For me, it lands right in that average category.

We started with the deep-fried mandu - 12 perfectly crispy pieces for $13.99 - hot, golden, and incredibly satisfying. They also brought out a generous spread of banchan, all fresh and well-balanced. For the main, I ordered the chicken teriyaki and tofu soup combo ($24.99), which comes with sliced chicken marinated in a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce and a bubbling hot tofu soup. Adding the complimentary raw egg ourselves into the boiling soup was pure magic - rich, comforting, and exactly what you want on a chilly night. Everything came out piping hot and perfectly timed.
