We came to Doma for the first time and found it to be a pleasant experience with friendly service and good food. I had the bibim naengmyun (cold spicy noodles). The noodles were slightly overcooked but the sauce was flavorful and not too spicy. I added a little vinegar to kick it up a notch-- 3.5 We also ordered pork tonkatsu, classic preparation with crispy batter and a well balanced sauce drizzled on top.. it was good enough for my husband and son to eat every bite-- 5 My youngest ordered the ttukbaegi bulgogi, which had great flavor in a light broth that was served boiling hot. My son chowed down the tender pieces of beef, sliced rice cake, noodles, bok choy, mushrooms, and meat filled pot stickers--5 I also enjoyed the Kpop music playing in the background and the side dishes were good.

I like coming here. The ladies and workers here are welcoming and nice. The food is good and I wish there are more side dishes. It's a cute little restaurant, and came here for lunch and it wasn't busy. Would come back and support.

You know that feeling when a craving hits? That was my experience tonight at Doma. I came in with a serious hankering for K-food, and Doma hit every single mark. We started with the deep-fried mandu - 12 perfectly crispy pieces for $13.99 - hot, golden, and incredibly satisfying. They also brought out a generous spread of banchan, all fresh and well-balanced. For the main, I ordered the chicken teriyaki and tofu soup combo ($24.99), which comes with sliced chicken marinated in a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce and a bubbling hot tofu soup. Adding the complimentary raw egg ourselves into the boiling soup was pure magic - rich, comforting, and exactly what you want on a chilly night. Everything came out piping hot and perfectly timed. The restaurant itself is small, clean, and well-kept, and the team was quick, attentive, and always on top of table touches. Even as it got busy, the service never missed a beat. I feel incredibly lucky to live near so many great Korean spots - and even luckier to count Doma as one of my go-to favorites. High marks across the board and absolutely no complaints.

I was craving Korean food and had stumbled across this place on Yelp. I am so glad I had stopped by & tried it out! When I had walked in, the place was bustling so I had high hopes it would be good...and it amazing. The staff were super attentive and would check in with tables often. The bulgogi, sides & tofu soup stood out to me the most and ended up being my favorite. From the flavor, texture, temperature, and ingredients in the dishes. I had also order the Korean chili fried chicken and it was good but a little too sweet for my liking as a savory girl. The batter was light and crispy and I'm glad I gave it a go. I definitely recommend to those who like a sweet and slightly savory bite. As for the Tteokbokki, I loved the chewiness of the rice cakes and they were perfectly soft. They definitely did not skimp out on the cheese (which was an extra charge to add on). Definitely perfect for cheese lovers! Your meal also comes with a complimentary iced plum tea which was so perfect to end out our meal. It was light, perfectly sweet and refreshing. I will definitely come by again & share with all my friends and family.

My family and I were here today for dinner and had a wonderful experience! We didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us immediately. The place was busy and there were a lot of happy people eating. We ordered kimchi pancake for appetizer, my kids ordered the chicken teriyaki and I ordered the Doma Dosirak (fish katsu and beef bulgogi). The banchan (little dishes) were also excellent and service was impeccable. The waiter came by often to refill our small dishes and I was warmly surprised by the delicious flavors. At the end they even gave us plum tea as an extra special treat! Thank you for an amazing experience

The family and I have found a new Korean place that's close to where we live! We've always passed by, but this is the first time we're actually dining in. And Doma did not disappoint... The place is nice and clean. Very nicely decorated. The thing that caught my eye the most were the window blinds. It lent light into the place and made the feeling more comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive. They were all just shuffling back and forth, delivering drinks or the banchan, or the fare you ordered. The staff were always seeing the refills or questions you may have about the menu. And the taste of our orders were uniquely great! I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and it was not overly sweet as others were. It was just right... The price is just right for the lunch menu. I suppose the higher priced items are the food you share around. But the food my family and I ordered were already quite a lot. Good food and a hefty serving... You should try them out when you're in the area. They are highly recommended!

Korean Pancake Bossam Kimchi Jjigae Ddukguk

While the initial wait for a party of two was a bit long, the experience was well worth it. Once seated, the staff was incredibly attentive and worked diligently to ensure we were served efficiently. They checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed, from water refills to extra side dishes. The food was the highlight of the night. I'm a big fan of kimchi jjigae, and theirs was particularly delicious. They generously portioned out the protein and kimchi, and the broth was rich in flavor. My partner tried their ddukguk for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion. It was much larger than the soups we usually find elsewhere. We also loved the kimchi pancake, which was crispy and packed with flavor, and the bossam. It was also my partner's first time having bossam, and he really enjoyed being able to customize each bite with the various toppings provided by the restaurant. Considering the generous portions and the high quality of their dishes, we found the pricing to be fair. However, it can be a bit pricey as most of their foods are portioned and priced to accommodate bigger parties, but it is definitely worth it for the experience of an authentic and fulfilling meal!

They are extremely nice, professional, and polite here. Very inviting, like entering a family's home, and kitchen. There is free plum tea while waiting, delicious! Small quaint restaurant, clean, ample parking, great service! The food here is absolutely !! The tofu bimbibop is Devine!! The flavors and precision that go into making every part of it, is so good. I finsihed it all! The korean pancake is also tasty, something I could probably eat everyday!! My fiancé loved his Bulgogi. The aromas that filled the air while they cook, is absolutely remarkable. Love this place. Highly recommend!!

Bulgogi, Seafood Tofu Soup and Mackerel along with full ban chan
    Ken L.

One of the few Korean spots I have visited so far in Sac and this one hits the spot. Service follow ups were frequent and attentive. Refills on Ban Chan sides were quick and painless. Portions on meats and main dishes did not disappoint. Clean up of dining areas and observed frequently right after customer departure kept the area neat and inviting. As for food, a large variety of ban chan sides come with the meal and all were well made. The beef bulgogi was tender and flavorful, seafood tofu soup stayed hot with silky soybean texture and the mackerel great. I also like the free hot barley tea! Overall, I definitely will return again to try their other items.

I was craving Bibimbap and kimchee so badly while we were passing through Sacramento after eating burgers and pizza all weekend. It must have been fate because I found THE MOST incredible, authentic, Korean spot ever in an unassuming strip mall after hopping on Yelp to find Doma. The portions are generous, the prices are even more generous (lunch specials for the win!), and the quality is top notch. I loved all the banchans that were given to us as well. The environment is humble and hole-in-the-wall ish (but still clean!) and the staff are very polite :)

We used to go here when the restaurant had different name and we liked it. So, we want to try it as it still serves same menu. At the end of our meal, they gave us a small cup of tea that was refreshing. - bulgogi: the bulgogi was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The beef was tender and sweet. - tofu soup combo (white - no spicy at all): it was tasty and savory. The broth was warm and good. It had lots of tofu pieces but kinda skimp on other fillings. - potato korean pancake: delicious crispy pancake

Hi-ya! Service and food quality were excellent. We had a little of everything as we had a big party and nobody had any complaints. All the stews and dishes were really good and the side dishes (marinated crab and fish) and kimchi and broccoli was so fresh and good). The place is actually next to a spa and so you may see folks in relaxed clothes with slippers in an offshoot area, but the main dining area was so clean. Bathrooms were clean and just a good experience. The pricing is on the higher side, but for good quality and service can't complain. We ordered the shaved ice desert at the end and it was a great highlight. The meal was quiet because everybody was just eating and enjoying. Top notch and 5 stars.

They have a variety of different fusion flavors that all tie to Korean cuisine. A must get is for sure their Booty Booldak; other than the fun name lol, it's served with crispy taters and cheese melted on top. I also tried their Kimchi Karbonara for the first time! It was good, but I wished there were more noodles, because we were left with a lot of bacon bits in the end. Our server, Sierra, was so sweet! She was welcoming and friendly, and we even had great conversations with her. She was also quick at serving us and getting what we needed.

Apparently that night was their 3 (?) year anniversary, so not sure if this is always the case but they did have a whole live DJ on the main floor. When we arrived there were a couple other tables dining. There isn't much seating inside, and most of the tables ended up being blocked off for bottle service lol Me and my girl were there to eat so we ordered as many dishes as our tiny table could handle! Kimchi Carbonara - TBH this tasted like spaghetti... with some kimchi and bacon. It wasn't bad, but it tasted exactly the way I described it. They should just take the carbonara out of the dish's name completely. I wouldn't order it again, just cause the bacon flavor was really smokey and strong. Spicy wings - These were actually really good! Served with pickled jalapenos, pickled radish, and a cabbage salad! Just make sure you get some rice on the side. The wing sauce was spicy! Not overly, but just enough. It was sweet but not too sweet. I would recommend! Mandu- Decent. Not spectacular, but a good side to round out your meal. The dipping sauce was yummy, a nice sweet soy. Pink Venom - The flavor was so good. Tasted like a pink starburst. If you like sweet drinks, this one is it! Didn't taste the alcohol at all though. Parking sucks so bad, we had to park a couple blocks away and cross some train tracks but we made it! The waiters were so nice and checked up on us even with the whole party going on. The bouncers though didn't pass the vibe check and I didn't really like that we got IDed so many times. We're in our mid 30s lol.. be frr. The whole vibe is fun, they have a full bar and apparently in the back room, it's another bar/lounge scene. It wasn't that type of night for me, but I would come back to eat and hang out if I was in the area. Keep in mind though, the crowd is early 20s!

First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

Chicken had a nice char, soup had large pieces of tofu. Dumpling soup: the pork mandu were very yummy. It's a large portion soup. I'm gonna try to come here a few more times before they close. I think the prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants in the Sacramento area, maybe a little cheaper.

There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

I will preface this by saying I should come back and judge based off their main menu offerings,…read morehowever they offer a separate brunch menu and that is what I had for my visit at fuji sac. We orderd the loco moco and breakfast fried rice with scrambled eggs. The eggs were deliciously scrambled. The fried rice was ok. The big concern was my burger patty was really burnt. The consistency and flavor of the gravy was interesting. We were the first visitors of the day so I'd say while it eventually filled up, not sure the reason behind burned food. Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.

Yum! Was unsure about lunch one day so the husband brought home Kindred Seoul. He swore by them…read more(he's a state worker nearby the restaurant and has had them many times before). I ordered the beef cupbop and it hit the spot! All the flavors I could've asked for: sweet, salty, umami goodness. The rice was perfectly fluffy, the japchae nicely cooked, and the beef was so tasty. Great portion and was a nice, warm lunch on a cold day. If you're a state worker and haven't tried them yet, you need to! Delicious Korean food that's fresh and filling!

Located in the Allenby Building State building in Downtown Sacramento. They have a vast eating area…read morethat you can bring your own lunch if you choose, you don't have to order from Kindred Seoul to eat in the building. I've only eaten here once, but it appeared that was plenty of seating for many more people. When we walk by it's never been packed. Parking is mostly street parking with some parking in local garages. They have 2 very clean unisex bathrooms to the right of the counter. You order at the counter and then they call your number. We arrived a few minutes after Noon. There was only 1 person in-front of us and 1 person behind us so we thought it would be a quick lunch. As it turns out several people went through the line before us and the wait was around 15 minutes. Kind of an excessive wait for a counter lunch. There was one girl holding her baby taking the orders and one girl filling the orders. She was going as fast as she could, but it still took awhile. It got really backed up. I ordered the BBQ Beef Cupbop. I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out the bottom layer is white rice, next is a layer of glass noodles, then comes the can corned, a mixture of cabbage, and topped with the BBQ Beef. It was very tasty. A little on the spicy side, which made it just more flavorful. It wasn't mouth watering or eye tearing hot. It just had a little kick. The consistency of the meat reminded me of ground beef. It was very finely chopped strips. Overall it was really good. Very filling for the amount you get. It's more than we usually have for lunch. My husband had the chicken soy ginger. I had some and it was really good, but fried, so probably not as healthy as the BBQ Beef. It doesn't appear that they cook to order any food here, but they do scoop to order. From what I could see they sell a variety of Cupbop flavors, including a vegetarian option. They also sell sandwiches, salads, and a burrito. They have an ice water dispenser at the end of the counter with water cups. The vibe was interesting. You are surrounded by state worker from all different agencies all minding their own business. Many groups of 2-6 were eating together. There were less singles than groups.
