    Spicy squid rice bowl
    Sarah A.

The good: Spicy squid rice bowl 9/10: very flavorful. For anyone who complained there was no crispy rice at the bottom, BE PATIENT! Mix your bowl, then spread the rice out along the bottom and up the sides, then let it sit for 10-15 min. If you eat it right away you'd probably burn your tongue anyways. The stone bowl ensures the food stays hot and your rice will crisp up. Eat the banchan while you wait. Banchan was a good selection and servers were good at refilling it when asked. Servers were also quick and kind. The bad: There is no purple rice option. Everything is white rice. The galbi was not worth it. Got the galbi and mixed tofu soup combo. Tofu soup was decent and grew on me. Great with the sides. The galbi was very disappointing as it had no char, which meant it lacked flavor. Galbi pieces were also pretty fatty and were not as plentiful as other places I've been to. Overall: would come again for the spicy squid rice and will maybe try their noodles next time. I saw some old Korean ladies eating there and it makes me want to try other things.

I was craving Korean food and had stumbled across this place on Yelp. I am so glad I had stopped by & tried it out! When I had walked in, the place was bustling so I had high hopes it would be good...and it amazing. The staff were super attentive and would check in with tables often. The bulgogi, sides & tofu soup stood out to me the most and ended up being my favorite. From the flavor, texture, temperature, and ingredients in the dishes. I had also order the Korean chili fried chicken and it was good but a little too sweet for my liking as a savory girl. The batter was light and crispy and I'm glad I gave it a go. I definitely recommend to those who like a sweet and slightly savory bite. As for the Tteokbokki, I loved the chewiness of the rice cakes and they were perfectly soft. They definitely did not skimp out on the cheese (which was an extra charge to add on). Definitely perfect for cheese lovers! Your meal also comes with a complimentary iced plum tea which was so perfect to end out our meal. It was light, perfectly sweet and refreshing. I will definitely come by again & share with all my friends and family.

My family and I were here today for dinner and had a wonderful experience! We didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us immediately. The place was busy and there were a lot of happy people eating. We ordered kimchi pancake for appetizer, my kids ordered the chicken teriyaki and I ordered the Doma Dosirak (fish katsu and beef bulgogi). The banchan (little dishes) were also excellent and service was impeccable. The waiter came by often to refill our small dishes and I was warmly surprised by the delicious flavors. At the end they even gave us plum tea as an extra special treat! Thank you for an amazing experience

They are extremely nice, professional, and polite here. Very inviting, like entering a family's home, and kitchen. There is free plum tea while waiting, delicious! Small quaint restaurant, clean, ample parking, great service! The food here is absolutely !! The tofu bimbibop is Devine!! The flavors and precision that go into making every part of it, is so good. I finsihed it all! The korean pancake is also tasty, something I could probably eat everyday!! My fiancé loved his Bulgogi. The aromas that filled the air while they cook, is absolutely remarkable. Love this place. Highly recommend!!

Doma is the best restaurant! The food is amazing, and the people who work there are super nice, respectful and professional. Excellent dishes from appetizers to drinks. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and cute. Ambiance is just perfect for anyone.

The family and I have found a new Korean place that's close to where we live! We've always passed by, but this is the first time we're actually dining in. And Doma did not disappoint... The place is nice and clean. Very nicely decorated. The thing that caught my eye the most were the window blinds. It lent light into the place and made the feeling more comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive. They were all just shuffling back and forth, delivering drinks or the banchan, or the fare you ordered. The staff were always seeing the refills or questions you may have about the menu. And the taste of our orders were uniquely great! I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and it was not overly sweet as others were. It was just right... The price is just right for the lunch menu. I suppose the higher priced items are the food you share around. But the food my family and I ordered were already quite a lot. Good food and a hefty serving... You should try them out when you're in the area. They are highly recommended!

Bulgogi, Seafood Tofu Soup and Mackerel along with full ban chan
    Ken L.

One of the few Korean spots I have visited so far in Sac and this one hits the spot. Service follow ups were frequent and attentive. Refills on Ban Chan sides were quick and painless. Portions on meats and main dishes did not disappoint. Clean up of dining areas and observed frequently right after customer departure kept the area neat and inviting. As for food, a large variety of ban chan sides come with the meal and all were well made. The beef bulgogi was tender and flavorful, seafood tofu soup stayed hot with silky soybean texture and the mackerel great. I also like the free hot barley tea! Overall, I definitely will return again to try their other items.

I was craving Bibimbap and kimchee so badly while we were passing through Sacramento after eating burgers and pizza all weekend. It must have been fate because I found THE MOST incredible, authentic, Korean spot ever in an unassuming strip mall after hopping on Yelp to find Doma. The portions are generous, the prices are even more generous (lunch specials for the win!), and the quality is top notch. I loved all the banchans that were given to us as well. The environment is humble and hole-in-the-wall ish (but still clean!) and the staff are very polite :)

We used to go here when the restaurant had different name and we liked it. So, we want to try it as it still serves same menu. At the end of our meal, they gave us a small cup of tea that was refreshing. - bulgogi: the bulgogi was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The beef was tender and sweet. - tofu soup combo (white - no spicy at all): it was tasty and savory. The broth was warm and good. It had lots of tofu pieces but kinda skimp on other fillings. - potato korean pancake: delicious crispy pancake

Hi-ya! Service and food quality were excellent. We had a little of everything as we had a big party and nobody had any complaints. All the stews and dishes were really good and the side dishes (marinated crab and fish) and kimchi and broccoli was so fresh and good). The place is actually next to a spa and so you may see folks in relaxed clothes with slippers in an offshoot area, but the main dining area was so clean. Bathrooms were clean and just a good experience. The pricing is on the higher side, but for good quality and service can't complain. We ordered the shaved ice desert at the end and it was a great highlight. The meal was quiet because everybody was just eating and enjoying. Top notch and 5 stars.

Doma Korean Bar and Grill SaturDate night = new food adventure! We were craving Korean food and decided to try Doma--and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant is bright, clean, and welcoming. The staff greeted us warmly, and we lucked out with a cozy table in the back. Since I had already scoped out the menu , I knew exactly what I wanted. I ordered the Galbi, while Francis went with the Bulgogi. Both came with all the classic fixings--fresh, flavorful, and just the way we love them. Instead of tofu soup, we chose the refreshing cold noodles (perfect for a hot day!) and they did not disappoint. Overall: delicious food, friendly service, and totally deserving of its 4.8/5 Google rating and 4.7/5 on Yelp. If you're in the area and craving Korean food without having to grill it yourself, this spot is a must-try! #DateNightEats #KoreanFoodLovers #FoodieAdventures #SupportLocalRestaurants #SacramentoEats #SaturDate Have you tried Doma Korean Bar and Grill yet? What's your go-to order?

The food and service was such a beautiful toast to Korea. It brought me back to my trip to Korea. I highly recommend the bulgogi hot pot, galbi and ton katsu. The unexpected highlight was the iced plum tea they serve at the end. The service was like being at a family gathering or your friend's house. We plan on being regulars.

We stopped in during a roadtrip as this location is easily accessible from the highway, with street parking all around. We order the 1/4lb tri tip, 1/2lb turkey, cornbread, bread roll, coleslaw, collared greens and broccoli salad. The food was great! They also have a variety of made in house bbq sauces, sweet and spicy, so it's good for every taste. Today I also got a blackberry tart ale which was delicious: sweet and slightly tart. My favorite thing about this place though is the atmosphere. They have both outdoor and indoor seating, and we sat in the side patio area which tends to be more quiet.

When we first walked up, the place was super busy with the outdoor seating area and queue full. There were still members of our group that were on their way, so we didn't mind waiting in line. They had kids menus available to look at, and even thought the stack for regular menus was out, some people in line were kind enough to hand us theirs when they were done. I stared at the menu the whole time I was in line. I think I was just hungry and the strong barbecue smell in the restaurant was making me crave everything. I eventually landed on a barbecue burger and decided to sub the fries with collard greens to be somewhat "healthy," and also because my husband was getting fries. What's his is mine. Ordering at the register was quick. They had a nonalcoholic frozen drink option that I was tempted to get since I don't drink. I'd recommend giving it a try if you don't mind parting with $10. I think it was $2 extra dollars to get a similar drink with alcohol too. Also, there is a separate line for ordering beer, so if you have a decent-sized group like we did, maybe consider splitting up to grab a table and join the beer line. We lucked out with one of the longer tables next to the bathrooms. Side note: they have hand-washing stations separate from the area with the toilets, so super clutch if you just need to clean up before you start touching all your food. Our orders seemed to come out as they were ready, and overall maybe 15-20 minutes, which is decent considering how packed the place was. My burger was delicious. Meat was on the medium-well side, but I don't mind a little more cook as long as it's still juicy, which was the case. Cheese was melted, onion rings were crisp, bun wasn't soggy, and there was a generous bed of jalapeños under the patty. It wasn't overly spicy or anything, but it did provide a nice noticeable difference in texture. The collard greens, I would say right now, are pretty high on my list of collard greens I've had in my life, and I order them if I ever see them on any menu since it's not often I find them. It was a decent amount, but I wished there was double once I was done. As we were finishing our food, some nice staff members were quick to come clean up our dishes. We were so satisfied with our meal and drinks that we almost forgot we needed to catch an escape room!

Honestly the best thing we had was the waffle fries with their seasoning. Easily some of the best tasting waffle fries I've had. For the meats though, it was a bit disappointing. Everything was kinda cold/room temp and didn't taste fresh. Even with the sauces added, I felt like the meats were pretty bland. Not sure if it was a bad day or not but it was a miss for me either way. If you are coming to watch sports though, this is a great spot. The space inside is so massive and TVs everywhere. Wow that was incredible!…read more For my dad's birthday and fathers day we ordered bbq tri-tip, ribs and mac and cheese. My brother and his wife found Silverback BBQ through a friend who highly recommended trying this for a party. We wanted something special for the birthday and my dad loves bbq. Ok we all love it but this was all geared for my dad. I bbq and smoke meats sometimes so I have some idea what to expect. I knew the food was going to be great just from word of mouth and some of the pictures on his site so the expectations were high. We paid extra to have the food delivered. Communication and payment was easy. Silverback BBQ (Carl is his name if I recall) and his wife both delivered the food. I was worried it might be cold but the special container he used, some kind of large carrier or crate kept the food very warm. It was steaming when everything was placed on the table. The smell was amazing! He proceeded to cut up the tri-tip into slices. I can't remember if the ribs were already cut or not before or during. He had made everything to our own specifications. We wanted medium well, somewhat spicy with some sweet and that's exactly what we got. The tri-tip had a beautiful cherry smoke ring on it. It was juicy and tender. The ribs were perfect. Again juicy, easy to bite off the bone but it didn't just fall apart, had some pull to it(which is good!). Flavor was great. Let's just say my sister who never eats ribs had a second helping. Price was great for everything that was included. I wasn't expecting Carl to also cut the tri-tip in front of us and serve everything. He took a lot of care to make things very enjoyable and I'm serious about that. Aside from the food I give his service 100% perfect. The whole process was entertaining and fun plus he took pictures with my dad and some of the family. I can't describe his personality with enough credit. He's just a cool dude for lack of a better word. Professional but cool. Looking forward to the next event when we can order more!
