Ordered the 9pc soy garlic wings and the galbi combo, and it was roughly around $45. That was little steep in my opinion. The flavor of the wings were great. Slightly sweet, and savory. But when I think of Korean fried chicken I think of crispy/crunchy wings. These were just soft. And not even because the sauce made them soggy, they were just not crisp at all. So that was a miss for me. The gable combo was just ok. Came with a decent amount of meat but the sides weren't my favorite. The kimchi had an off taste, and the japchae definitely wasn't fresh. Almost as if it was previously refrigerated and they tried to heat it up to make it palatable to serve but the noodles were still stuck together. The rice had a hard patch on it so you can tell it was just over exposed to heat just sitting in the rice cooker that it dried out. The bean sprouts were tasty though and the broccoli still had a good crunch. I'm glad it wasn't over cooked. The restaurant space is quaint. And we had came in on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one other table there prior to us. So we were able to sit anywhere and our food came out at a reasonable time. So service is good but unfortunately the food fell a little short to me.
Came here on a Wednesday for lunch and it wasn't really busy. Came mainly for the lunch combos and kimbap. I got the boneless garlic soy chicken lunch combo with a tuna kimbap on the side. I love how it came with different banchans, kimchi, bean sprouts, broccoli, japchae, gyoza, and rice. The chicken was nice and juicy and still crunchy. The kimbap came a few mins later as they made it and it was so good too! It came with some broth on the side. I saved half of the meal for later because it was so much. Would come back to try other things on the menu and the same things as well. My coworker got the tofu soup and she liked the banchans as well.
Came here for lunch and it was pretty quick to get my food. I saw they have popular Korean street food here so gave it a try. Sodukk sodukk: B Two skewers of crispy rice cake and mini sausages, covered with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce. I've seen this in Korea food videos, and while nothing mind blowing I did enjoy this a lot. Extra crispy boneless chicken: B- Super crispy exterior as promised, and chicken was very juicy and tender. By itself it was a bit bland to be honest. After I tried it with the hot sauce packet I would say it was enjoyable.
Yang nyum chicken 9/10, soy garlic chicken -9/10, Tteok-bokki - 10/10, soon du bu - 7/10, bulgogi -4/10. The fried chicken was good and I recommend trying. The highlight was the Tteok-bokki. It had just the right amount of fish cake and rice cakes. The bulgogi was VERY dry. I hope they fix it. The soon du bu was a little blander than expected. The restaurant itself was interesting. As soon as I walked in, I wasn't greeted at all, then was finally acknowledged after I was looking at the menu. The cashier/server gave her recommendations on which chicken wings order & made sure I had everything I needed at my table. You order & pay at the front first, then sit anywhere. 6/10 - S2 Yang Nyum Chicken with sides: the chicken was 10/10, it was delicious! The sauce was a nice balance of sweet, sticky, & slightly spicy; other than that the sides dish (broccoli, bean sprout, & potstickers), kimchi, & japchae were not good; kimchi was bitter, japchae lacked flavor, & the potstickers were meh. 9/10 - Fried Seaweed Rolls: these were cute tasty nuggets of goodness; the shape of them made them fun to eat. 8/10 - Sodduk Sodduk: the sauce is very similar to the sauce of the Yang Nyum Chicken; rice cakes were crispy, but slightly hard; sausages were yummy.
Me and my girls love to try new Korean spots around the city and my oldest went here on her own one day and brought some back. I tried it and immediately knew I'd be trying them myself. They were out of something and I can't recall what it was but they were nice enough to give some sauces and radish on the side. They're a smaller spot with some pretty cool wall decor, it was nice and clean inside and staff is friendly and helpful. Each time I've gone I've tried a new flavor of chicken and can say they're all pretty tasty. My littlest ones really liked the fried seaweed roll which can be a little snack or just a side either way they're a nice crunchy extra.
Wanted a quick, not too fancy, local spot for dinner. Found Ttobongee on Yelp and thought we'd support a local spot. Spot looked busy- good sign. BBQ smell was evident and inviting. Prices were on the high end for a "fast food Korean" spot. They were short staffed because some of the tables needed to be cleaned and there was only one person who served as the cashier/busser/etc. She said she was new - sweet girl, was working hard. Ordered 2 short rib plates and a spicy pork plate. Came out to about $60. Spicy Pork: Good flavor, not too sweet, would get again. Galbi (short rib): Have had better but was still good and satisfying. I enjoyed all the side dishes that accompanied the plates: daikon, jap chae (although noodles were noticeably over cooked), broccoli, and kim chee. I would say a smidget overpriced for the quantity but would still come back because of location to my home. Left satisfied!
Their individual chicken pieces are worth it. The whole chicken is very small more like a hen but it's still very moist and delicious. Their beef short ribs were flavorful. F Overall flavor is great but price point is high for the amount of food you're getting.
I got the seafood tofu soup to eat there and some chicken to take home. The tofu soup was great! They didn't have beef so I had the seafood and it had a lot of protein in it. A good variety of seafood too. The soup was very filling and the side dishes were nice too. I got Maip Dak half chicken to go and boy am I crying! It is so spicy! The burn lasts for a few minutes too. The chicken is nice and tender & was cooked really well. The interior is small but there is plenty of seating.
This place hit the spot for korean fried chicken. Wasn't too busy on a late Friday night. Food came out very quickly especially since we ordered fried chicken. I got the yang nyum meal which comes with 4 wings, 4 sides, 2 gyozas, and rice. The sweet and chili sauce was delicious. Was not spicy at all. Pretty good sized wings. Don't think it's double fried though. I sadly did not like the kimchi that came with my combo. It was sour and bitter.

The size of the chicken varies quite a bit, and you will find a few big drumsticks and a mix of wings and drumettes. We asked for the bulgogi plate and was disappointed they were out of it. Instead we tried the Galbi plate and it was decent with plenty of sides included. The joint is no-nonsense fast food with sit down available. The staff brings you the food and there's self service water available. Price are pretty high, seems a bit too much based on what you get, but I guess that's the current state of the Korean chicken market!

Ttobongee (Manna Bunsik) has officially closed as of May 25th, 2025. I was a huge fan of their kimchi spam fried rice, bulgogi beef set, and bulgogi kimbap. I'd also tried their yang nyum fried chicken, Korean corn dog, dduk bok gi, tofu soup, banana milk and Soon Hari soju. The bone broth soup was so good, there were a few times when I just got a large/double order of that to go. Service was always friendly and great, and I heard that the owners are moving out of state to be closer to family due to illness. Sad to see them go. Wonder what will take its place, until then Natomas only really has the chain Bonchon left for Korean food. read more

I'm really sad to find out they are closing in two weeks! FYI they're called Manna Bunsik, not Ttobongee. I don't know why I waited so long to come here. The food is very tasty and the portions are nice. Service was very friendly too. They were so busy today they ran out of beef bulgogi but offered us a generous alternative as an apology. We finished very full and had lots of leftovers. KFC boneless: crunchy with nice strong sauces. Too salty for our palates but very tasty. Banchan: large scoops were given, our favorite was the broccoli, beef bone broth and japchae. Chicken bulgogi set and tofu soup set: both were fabulous. Chicken had a nice char, soup had large pieces of tofu. Dumpling soup: the pork mandu were very yummy. It's a large portion soup. I'm gonna try to come here a few more times before they close. I think the prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants in the Sacramento area, maybe a little cheaper. read more
I ordered through Door Dash and the quality of the food did not disappoint. My only complaint was the fries were extremely soggy. I love the crispy chicken. It was definitely extra crispy. The chicken had a dry rub, which is what I prefer. It was very juicy and tender. I highly recommend this. The maip dak was not bad, although I expected a spicier sauce rather than a sweet sauce. It was very juicy and tender as well; however, I prefer the crispy chicken. I love the tofu soup set with beef and seafood. It came with 3 sides, steamed rice, and 2 crispy mandu. There was a good amount of beef, shrimp, and clams. This definitely satisfied my soup craving during the extremely cold weather. I am surely dinning in on my next visit. read more

I came back to try this place and was slightly disappointed. My partner and I dined in this time instead of doing takeout. Fortunately, the server was so sweet. I must say that the portion size has gotten significantly better. So I do commend them on that! We ordered yang nyum chicken (sweet and spicy), seafood tofu soup, japchae, Tteokboki, and a peach soju. The chicken was a little too sweet for my taste. I like a spicier flavor , the japchae is pre-made. It had lots of black pepper in it, and I end up returning it after trying it on my sampler because I ordered it for my 1 year old son who found it too spicy. The tofu soup was AMAZING THOUGH! It came with many sides(jab chae being one of them), which I love. The Tteokboki was soft and had a good flavor. I do enjoy the one from Deluna cafe on the other side of the movie theater, though. All-in-all I did enjoy some things here . My only complaint was a drunk woman who was harassing me and my family. I wish that management took more initiative instead of letting the poor server fend for herself. read more

Korean fried chicken and a host of other Korean items on the menu! I loved my visit to Tto Bong Ee! This small restaurant near the Regal Cinema is great. The chicken is absolutely delicious. You have the option of order a while order or a half order - and you can select wings, drums, or a mix. I love little chicken wings, and this place fries them up perfectly. The wings are have a perfect fry with seasoning that is delicately done. The Korean corn dog was a revelation! It's unlike your usual corn dog in that it is light and crispy on the outside. The inside is oozing with melted cheese. There's a little ham sausage right in the middle for you to find. If you want more traditional Korean fare, that's on the menu too. I had the clear noodles and it came in a very large portioned bowl. I couldn't even finish it and had to get it to go in a box. I found Tto Bong Ee to be a restaurant that I'll frequent over and over again! read more

I ordered half and half chicken: the yangnyeom, original and the soy garlic. Also got tdukbokki. I would have to say that the flavors were definitely there, but the quality of chicken were not. Definitely on the weaker side of quality for something quite expensive. Tdukbokki tasted premium though. The rice cakes were delectable, but very spicy. It's ideal for a quick snack but not for a full course meal. read more

Ordered online today at the Natomas location and my order was ready when I got there. TC is located inside the Walmart Shopping Center next to the Regal Cinema. It is pretty small inside so plan on ordering Togo. I tried following: Extra Crunchy boneless chicken; tender crunchy chicken with a good spicy kick. Kimchi And Spam Fried Rice; moist rice with cubed spam and fried egg on top. Bulgogi Combo S4; A meal in itself very tasty. Everything was fresh and tasty but the chicken needs dipping sauce so plan on ordering some. Overall I enjoyed this spot and look forward to coming back. read more
Maybe I'm spoiled with Korean but this place is subpar. I'm eating while I type this. Good can be better, girl working the counter is on her phone the entire time. Place is unnecessarily dirty. Girl was cleaning a table while on the phone and dropped rice plate on the floor, didn't bother to clean it. The table next to me is still filthy. Two workers are on the phone. Order: Soy Garlic Chicken | Half Order took about 10 minutes to come out. The smell was amazing and plating is very cute. Chicken was cooked very well, although I wish for a little more seasoning. The portion was decent for the price. Decent spot to hit that korean fried chicken fix. read more

The service was very quick as in she was rushing me to order although there was no one in line behind me and only one table seated in the restaurant. It's a small place so it wouldn't be the best for big parties. My husband and I love Korean fried chicken and have been to many places and when we ordered, they were very strict on no substitutions which is very sad because you can't get the soy garlic unless you want to buy a whole separate plate of it. Their split flavors are limited and could be flavors you don't even want together. We got the combo #3 and it came with one small plate of rice and we also ordered a side of fries. Our total came out to be almost $40! The wings were so dainty, so small, and seemed like something I can buy a bag from at Costco. The wings were barely coated in the sauce that we were scraping the foil it was served on. The size of the wings were as small as a ketchup packet! Not exaggerating, check photo in the review. This place is a disappointment to Korean fried chicken. Overpriced, small portions, and rushed service. read more

Absolutely finger licking good! I got the Korean fried chicken set with yangnyum sauce and it is so delicious. The banchan and japchae is authentic and gives me feelings of home cooked meals from my mom. I will definitely recommend and be back. Love it! read more

Have been craving Korean fried chicken ever since I went to the Ttobongee in Folsom. Was excited when I saw that they had a location in Natomas but skeptical because of the name change to Manna Bunsik. The verdict is this place is delicious !! I ordered the 9 piece fried chicken, half crispy and half yangnyum. Had to wait about 15 minutes but was well worth it. Chicken came out hot. The yangnyum sauce was so good, tangy, has a subtle spiciness, addictive. I think I would opt for the soy garlic next time because the crispy didn't have a ton of flavor but it was still delicious. The guy that took our order in the front and served us was so friendly !! Really impressed and surprised by the service at a causal place like this, but he really made sure we had everything we needed. read more
Best Fried Chicken Experience! Great food and friendly employees. I am a fan of good fried chicken and I loved their fried chicken, crispy, tasty and flavorful. We ordered a bowl of fried rice and a half order of the Original Ttobongee Chicken Combo (#1) drum + wing. You can have your choice of bone-in or boneless. Definitely bone-in for me. The rice was served first while the chicken took a little longer. The chicken was served piping hot and the half order was just the right amount for me and the hubby, 9-pcs of wings and drumettes... definitely shareable. They also gave complimentary daikon radish. The dining room is a modest size with a huge flat screen on one side of the wall. Clean. Order food at the counter and food will be served at your table. They applied a 15% "Grand Opening" discount to our total order. Sweeeeet! Pleased to have tried this establishment. You also get a free drink for writing a Yelp review. This location located in the Natomas Marketplace opened in June 2021 and a month later they opened another location in Folsom at the Broadstone Plaza. Service is great but the chicken was not crispy. I was expecting it to be super crunchy, but the texture was more like roasted chicken or just soft. The soy garlic sauce could be tastier, it's not that sweet, savory and sticky consistency you'd expect in Korean fried chicken. Maybe their other food is better. read more
The food is great and authentic. Reminds me of a korean joint in LA. The decor is super kpop and hipster. The soup i got was really flavorful and delicious you have to crack an egg in it and you can enjoy it with your rice and toppings. My brother got the bibimpop. Waitress came over and frequently asked us if we needed anything. Great service and great food! read more
