For appetizers I usually get the seafood pancake, so I ordered one of those to share in addition to my cheese soondubu and my companion's kalbi. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when the pancake came out; it was like a foot in diameter and PACKED with squid and other goodies. The consistency was crisp yet fluffy. There were also about 12 different banchan, so something for everyone's tastes. The kalbi came out sizzling and was well seasoned. i enjoyed my tofu soup (medium spicy!) a lot, and the waitress was kind enough to crack the egg in for me. If I had to nitpick, the beef in my soup was a bit tough, but the flavor was excellent overall. Service was great! They even chill the little glasses for makgeolli for you. The lady helping us and the waiter were both pleasant, and I saw another lady who I think might have been the manager coming out to discuss recipes some of the other diners which was very cool.

I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather.
