Kana Moo Grob

Late Night Door Dash. Boyfriend hadn't eaten dinner, and it was getting late, so we ordered him some food. He got the Kana Moo Grab with extra pork belly. He said it was a bit salty, but the Chinese broccoli was good. Got delivery, so can't speak to ambiance, but food came quickly and it did the job.

Came here for some late night eats to wrap up date night and per usual this place did not disappoint. We ordered reverse happy hour pad Thai and bbq chicken skewers. No alcohol but we both got Thai tea; I went with regular and Mr Man opted for lemon. Kind of jealous of his drink. Both were delicious and glad we opted for the large. Overall we had a great night music selection was great and the food was tasty. Mr man said to get the papaya salad next time so we will definitely be back for some more late night eats

Not the best Pad Kee Mao I've had, but the noodles were cooked perfectly, and it had a decent flavor. The Tom Kha I'm soup was just OK The papaya salad was good not the best I've ever had The satay chicken was OK. The peanut sauce was very boring. This is a restaurant that you would come when you want to just walk up and order and not have to split a bell with a bunch of people doesn't have table order service but they do deliver your meal to your table after they give you a number. It's self serve water, ice and they do have lemons for the water. This restaurant is located on the super busy 16th St. three lane to get downtown one way road which is very hard to park and if you do get a parking spot it's a busy street. One good thing about this restaurant compared to other Thai restaurants is that it's opened in between lunch and dinner. Most of them seem to close by 3 PM and don't open until 4:30 or 5 PM so this is one of the few that you can hit up anytime a day.

Palm Juice & Thai Tea

My best friend and I visited Thai Canteen during the early dinner time on a Saturday. I was so hyped to take my bestie who visited from San Diego to Thai Canteen because from my memories, this was one of the best Thai foods I ever had in Sacto area a while ago. The restaurant has indoor, outdoor tables, and a mini bar section. You order your food at the counter, pay for it, then grab a number and place it on your table. Food arrived pretty quickly and the service we received was alright. We ordered Thai Tea, Palm Juice, Pad See Ew with Beef, and Pad Thai with Chicken, all the staple food people usually order at any Thai place. The price is decent, portion is quite large, we ended up need to pack some leftover home. But for the taste, I would say it was pretty mid, not as good as I remembered. Pad Thai taste was just average, the noodle actually a little bit too soggy for my taste, and it had a very strong tomato/ketchup flavor instead of tamarind. Pad See Ew lacked that wok smoke flavor and was quite salty, but the vegetables still had a crunchy texture, and beef was tender. Thai Tea was alright, I wished it could be a little bit more creamier but the Palm Juice was definitely a unique and refreshing drink, think of it like coconut juice but more dense and have a nice fragant of natural sugar. Overall, it was an okay experience. Maybe they changed the chef or the sauce, honestly i dont know, it just not as great as how I remembered it.

Me and a friend came here after the CARDI B concert at Golden one center. We initially chose this place because it was super late and who doesn't Love Thai Food! I got the Papaya Salad and pork skewers and everything was so good. The place was clean, customer service was good and I definitely will be coming back. I love their late night hours. On the weekdays I believe they're open until 1am and weekends 3am (I believe). Everything was so flavorful and I will be coming back. Check it out next time you're looking for a late night snack!

Ive been here several times, tried multiple dishes, and the food is always good! I like how you pay before sitting down and there are plenty of seating. The only downside is finding parking but it is in downtown so I can't really complain. The green thai curry is my favorite but the pad thai is a close second. Would recommend if you're looking for a new thai spot!

We came to Thai Canteen on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy, which was a nice surprise. You order at the register and serve yourself water, and then they bring the food out to your table. I got the Pad Gra Prow. The flavor was really good and had a nice kick, but there were definitely more veggies than chicken, which was kind of a bummer. My friend ordered the red curry. It was on the sweeter side and served in a small bowl with rice on the side. Overall, we really liked the vibe and would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. I've also had their mango sticky rice before and it's really good. Great spot if you're looking for casual Thai food with quick service.

Food: the food is delicious. I got the pad Thai and one of our faves the garlic rice with pork belly. Definitely recommend! Service: the service was great. We were greeted with smiles by the staff and was very helpful when ordering food. Ambiance: casual restaurant

I love Thai Canteen so much! Came here with a group of my coworkers for my belated birthday lunch. I always look forward to coming here because the food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the Pad See Ew medium spicy with a side of white rice and also try the Thai green tea. And everything was AMAZING! Service was friendly and wonderful. We went around 1140am. Got a big table for our group and it's always a great place to chat during lunch time. I was so happy I was able to try a sample of the Thai green tea and I loved the cute little shot glass it came in. Thank you for the wonderful lunch. Perfect place for a late bday celebration! Love bringing new folks that have never been too!

I've been here twice now and omg the food is bomb! I've had both the noodles and rice plates, baked mussels, pork skewers w sticky rice, garlic mushrooms and everything was delicious and came out quick. The good food plus the friendly, proactive staff who always pre bus the tables so you don't have empty plates just sitting on your table while you are eating. Also they definitely have way more sake choices than I remember last time. My sister loved the chicken pad thai. Also the restaurant was clean and a pretty spacious place, we love sitting at the long tables because we order 4-7 plates of food everytime we come in. Highly recommended!

Tom Yum Veggie Bowl. Chicken pad Thai. Chicken wings. Thai Ice Tea.

Ordered 4 items for a total of $60. Small Tom Yum Veggie Bowl $14. Chicken pad Thai $18. 6 piece Chicken wings $14. Thai Ice Tea $5.50. Have only had good experiences when dining in, but takeout portions are a rip off. The sizes are equivalent to that of leftovers when we dine in. May have caught them on an off night. The food was still cooked incredibly well. Will only be dining in from here in the future. 5 stars when dining in. 4 for the takeout experience.

pork skewers w/ sticky rice

I love TC! This is my favorite place to go to before you go out, and even after the night ends. Their food goes great with the beers and soju/sakes. The cashiers are always pretty kind as well, they all have great personalities. It can get pretty packed in here, and it can get loud too when it's busy. But they got a good amount of seats, especially if you're a bigger party, they have a big table in the middle of their restaurant. I always love getting their thai tea soju shots. It's so delicious, you don't even need chaser. I tried their pork skewers with sticky rice (from their happy hour menu) and the pork was so tender and juicy! For $12, it was pretty worth it.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Sacramento! The food is always fresh to order and delicious. Today, we kept it simple and ordered Thai fried rice and fried shrimp. Our server was Kaylin, she was so sweet and had a great suggestion on food items. The ambiance was nice. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunny day.

Pad Kee Mao- I bite into eggshells cutting my gums! And this dish doesn't even have eggs in it. Dangerous and tasteless.

The woman at the front who took my order was very nice. I've dined in before and the tables are fully set up with all the necessary condiments, but today I just needed to get home and hope the food could do its thing. I ordered the pho gai, which is lighter and cleaner than the typical Vietnamese beef pho. The broth has a slightly fermented, deeply umami flavor, probably from fish sauce, along with lemongrass, chicken broth, chicken breast, and ginger. Perfect when you're stuck with a cold. It was packaged really well with chili oil, jalapeños, celery, lime, and the noodles on the side. There isn't a ton of chicken if you're looking for high protein, but I didn't care. It was so good and soothing. Nothing like sweating over a bowl of herbal soup while sick. I also ordered the Lao sausage, which has a great blend of aromatics, especially lemongrass. It comes with a sauce I'm not totally familiar with, but it's bright and limey, likely fish-sauce based, with something like charred pepper or tomato that almost reminds me of a Mexican salsa. So good. This place is awesome. I've only ever gotten soups here, but I definitely need to branch out and try more of the menu. Prices are very fair too. The soup alone was just under 1.5 liters so great bang for your buck.

Location changed!!!…read more They're now located at their Tea House on: 3620 N Freeway Blvd Suite 300, Sacramento, CA 95834 Would've been nice to know this before going here and wasting our time. The website and Yelp page were not updated as on 12/2/25. Despite this, my husband and I did enjoy making our own ramen experience. Seems like the transition just happened so there wasn't a list of menu toppings or instructions on how to use the hot water machine.

I really like the concept of selecting your own dry ramen / noodles packets , then choosing proteins, toppings to be added to our own bowl and cooking it ourselves over a timed induction burner. I appreciate the vast selection of noodles choices but the price tag is a bit steep for what it is ( instant noodles) . We also had some dumplings such as Hargow , it was not good , looks and tasted like the ones i buy from the freezer at an Asian grocery store. The edges were dry and hard it seems like it's put in the microwave. I did asked the young lady if the hargow were microwave , she stated it was steamed . She did offer to bring us something else to replace. We opted for the korean mondu , it's at least soft and comes out warm . I honestly wouldn't come back when I am in the area again. I can't see myself spending $ for low quality dumplings.

I will tell you, I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the staff, and given a menu to look at the food options available. While waiting for the person in front of me to finish placing their order, I looked around and noted the atmosphere was nice, the floors and tables were clean, and the staff matched in their uniform shirts. (Cleanliness is a BIG plus for me.) Once I got to place my order the woman at the register made it a note to advise that while the menu didn't list it all, they did offer traditional dishes other Chinese restaurants offer. I ordered, Chicken Chow Mein, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef and BBQ Pork with their Chicken Egg Rolls to go. Once I got home and served it to my family for dinner, when I tell you all of us were pleased, I mean it! This place truly is a hidden gem. The flavors of the chow mein was impeccable. The peppers and onion taste of the Mongolian beef even better. The rice, fresh, not hard or stale, but perfectly cooked with even amounts of everything. The chicken egg roll. was a delight! I love egg rolls and it's hard to find a good one. Theirs is GOOD. So, I say all this to say, that if you're looking for a good restaurant when you're craving Chinese food, give this place a try.
