We came in for lunch and we had about 30 min until the restaurant closed so the person that walked us in said we'd have about 10 minutes to order, which we understood completely. Two minutes after being seated she came up to take our order and we felt extremely rushed. We ended up ordering a papaya salad and a pad se ew, everything non spicy because we don't like spice. The papaya salad came out and it was very very spicy, my partner eats spicy and even he felt like it was extremely spicy. We let her know and she said that's just how they made it and that they only added a little bit of spice. I've had papaya salad several times y different places and it was never spicy. Why wouldn't you warn your customers that it would be spicy? Even when we let her know and she saw we didn't even eat it, she didn't do anything about it. We ended up leaving after having a really bad experience and don't think we'll ever be back which is a shame cause we saw so many good reviews.

Some of the best Thai food I've had! Such a good spot for Thai food! The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and has a good amount of seating, for any size group or solo Very nice inside with a bar if that's something you're looking for. The staff were super nice and friendly and helpful for everything! The food came out surprisingly fast so that was very nice! The food itself was amazing! Everything was so fresh and delicious and had the perfect amount of spice. The noodles themself were so delicious the seasoning and sauce used was great We tried a good amount of variety on their menu and off that alone can say there is probably not one thing that isn't amazing on there Can tell the care they put into their dishes and it shows ! This is a must go to spot for anyone in the mood for Thai food! I will be coming back And can highly recommend it! Great spot

Mango Sticky Rice with Ice Cream. AMAZING!

I never even knew about this place, my co-worker took myself and a friend and he loved it also! The chicken Thai basil came out hot and fresh, veggies were crunchy and delicious, chicken was tender, flavor was slightly sweet and savory. But my favorite - the mango sticky rice with that deliciously sweet coconut ice cream. Blew me away! Loved the sticky rice texture, the sweet fresh mango. It was all just delicious! Our waitress was a treat, such a sweetheart. Quick fast service, which I loved!

Absolute yum! Recommended by a coworker, I promptly brought my mom in for a nice workday lunch when I was stationed Downtown. We were greeted, seated, and given water right away. Place was packed with (I'm assuming) state workers. Nice interior and clean bathrooms. Mom and I both ordered the yellow curry (our fave); she opted for the standard mild with white rice, I bumped it up a bit to medium with brown rice. Food was quick (without being suspiciously fast) and really tasty. Medium had a nice kick and the brown rice was in a perfect little cone. Overall, great work-lunch spot and can't wait to bring my husband in for a meal! Ps. The Thai iced tea was also bomb!

I wish this spot all the success and more. From welcome to goodbye, service and experience is wonderful. I was surprised I hadn't left a review yet with the number of times I've gone and brought friends or came solo. This location is great for a quick lunch or dinner and gathering with friends/fam/colleagues. Nice date night option too with the lighting and ambiance. There are TVs if you need that extra stimulation. The food is so deliciously prepared. I've had many dishes, most recently, the chicken satay, dong dong noodles, and tofu spring rolls. Everything is so fresh too! Spice levels are true to definition. The owner runs a great friendly-like-family operation. Not pictured but I highly recommend the angel wings and Penang curry (any protein). Yuuuummm!!! Add some noodles and the spring rolls and you have a well rounded meal there! Cheers!

This restaurant was recommended by my friend and it was exactly what I needed but didn't know. Is located on 10th street so street parking however, it was worth it. The food was excellent and the ambiance was classic asian style. The waitress was attentive we didn't have a reservation and was seated immediately. I would definitely be coming back to try more of their cuisines.

I had a lovely lunch with my partners close to 2pm. There were only a few people in the restaurant so it wasn't busy. We had a wonderful service with attentive staff. Everything seemed so clean and there were a lot of options on the menu. I wanted to try everything! We decided to get garlic fries, crispy tamarind tofu and potstickers as starters. For the main course, I decided to go for the Pad Thai Supreme. The other main dishes were the drunken chow mein and a pumpkin curry. The flavors went really went together. Everything was so delicious and super tasty!! It made me want to go back and try other items in their menu.

If you love Thai food, you NEED to try this place! The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with the intent to impress. One of my absolute favorite Thai restaurants.

I love thai food and it was my girlfriend has never had it, so we went with my parents cause they had been wanting to have lunch with her for a bit. It was very good, I had pumpkin tofu curry. Also a vegan curry with roti, very good i will say.

My favorite sauce, chili in fish sauce

Street parking only. Food and services was okay. They get quite busy during lunch due to the close proximity to downtown. The food was okay, I felt the food was more cater to the American taste and not as authentic.

In order of disappearance: coconut salad, pork belly pad see ew and pad Thai, sunset curry with tilapia
    Leo R.

Thai time Owner and Recipe Wizard Thammasorn Lau has created something that feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's home -- assuming that someone's home happens to have amazing Thai chefs, incredible spices, and food that makes you immediately start planning your next visit before you're even done eating. We did our best "research project" and ordered everything our table could justify: Thai iced coffee, coconut canopy salad, pad see ew and pad Thai with pork belly, sunset curry with tilapia, and mango sticky rice with ice cream. For science, obviously. Thai Time should put a warning label on their Thai iced coffee. One sip through each layer and the conversation stopped. We woke up. The taste buds clocked in for work. The brain sent out the announcement: "Cancel all distractions -- apparently dinner has plans for us." Good thing we listened. Thammasorn then proceeded to take us on a full Thai flavor adventure. This wasn't just dinner. This was a carefully organized attack on our ability to say, "No thanks, I'm full." The coconut canopy salad started fresh and bright, the noodles brought the comfort, the pork belly brought the celebration, the sunset curry with tilapia brought the "wait, everyone try this" moment. And the mango sticky rice with ice cream showed up at the end like a victory parade. I always read the bad reviews because I'm fascinated by the rare human ability to find sadness while surrounded by curry, noodles, and people being nice to you. They are to be safely ignored. Our experience? Five stars out of 10. Beautiful flavors, warm service, and that special energy you only get when the people behind a place actually care. Thank you, Thammasorn and Thai Time. Sacramento is lucky to have you.

    Spicy Bamboo (MEDIUM SPICY)

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing ambiance!! On our visit we ordered : - Spicy Bamboo - Tamarind Shrimp - Tom Kha soup - Green Thai Tea The spicy bamboo dish was my favoriteee. If you love spicy food, make this your next dish. The portion for this was pretty big and I ended up taking basically half the plate home and made it my dinner. The tamarind shrimp was very surprising! I loved the flavoring and how crispy it came out. The shrimps were huge!! The owner and waitress were super sweet and attentive. I loved the inside of those place. It's spacious, with a clean modern design and I love that they have plants in this place. It adds to the feng shui.

    Ginger fried chicken

On this visit, I dined in. I love the fried Thai Roti with the curry dipping sauce. Unfortunately, I am quite disappointed with the ginger fried chicken. The chicken is very dry and not tender like it was from my previous visit. I was hoping the batter would still be crispy instead of soggy as I am dinning in. I am disappointed that the batter is mostly soggy. I decided to try the Rad na with tofu. It was just okay. I prefer my noodles dry so I will stick with drunken noodles. No complaints on the crab fried rice. Service was excellent.

I'm not sure if management or chef has changed but their food is not what I remembered from years ago. We initially ordered their tofu pad thai and gai yang and immediately noticed how pricey their menu was. They have a wall of specials and I remember being shocked that their orange chicken was $24. I didn't mind paying more than what I was used to for my pad thai because I remembered their food was delicious but I was shocked when my pad thai came out. It was literally drowned in sauce and looked like it was a bowl of noodle soup. I was still optimistic hoping that it tasted better than it looked but it just tasted like sweet rice noodle soup. I was hesitant to bring it up to the waitress after two bites but so glad I did because I would have hated myself if I left without saying anything. The waitress was kind and offered to remake the dish. Instead, I opted for something else because I was afraid to be disappointed again. I ordered their tofu drunken noodles since I've gotten it here before and remember it being tasty. I confirmed that the drunken noodle was going to be a dry noodle dish and thankfully it was. It was good but not the best I've ever had. My boyfriend had their gai yang which is a marinated grilled chicken dish. He said it was pretty dry without the sauce on the side but the sweet chili sauce provided was pretty tasty. It's probably not worth $26 given the how dry the chicken was and he said he would never order it again. Overall, the customer service was great and portions were good. I had to deduct 3 stars from my previous review as the food quality has significantly gone down in my experience and doesn't justify the high menu prices in my opinion.
