Inside is very small with 3 tables but feels very cozy and inviting. The service was great! We stepped outside to wait for our drinks and The guy working there actually went out of his way to bring it out to us. The drinks we well made. You can taste the richness of the matcha. The coffee was very strong. It was a good experience. The musubi we got was so thic and filling. 10/10!
I tried Market on 28th this weekend and had such a great experience. We ordered the katsu sandos, Tokyo dirty matcha, Uji matcha latte, and the Taiwan dried fruit tea--and everything was really solid. The katsu sandos were delicious, and I loved the sauce, honestly would go back just for that. The drinks were also really nice. My favorites were definitely the Tokyo dirty matcha and the Taiwan fruit tea. Next time I'd probably ask for the tea a little less sweet, but I'd 100% order them again. They even surprised us with a complimentary Seoul whipped dalgona drink because it was our friend's birthday, which was such a sweet touch Shoutout to the gentleman working on a Sunday afternoon, he was so, so kind. The entire shop was run by just two guys, which made the hospitality even more impressive. The seating situation isn't amazing, but since it's in a downtown area, that totally makes sense. Overall, great vibes, great service, and really tasty food and drinks. Would definitely go back!
I liked it more than I wanted to. I didn't have high hopes for this spot. I wanted something small and quick after my nail appointment. Ended up here just to knock it off my list of places to try. I got their viet coffee and chicken katsu sandwich. Downtown parking is always a B! There is like two small tables to sit at. Its more of a pick up and go spot and right across from the park. Cute little day date.
Quaint market with both drinks and quick meals for purchase. we ordered the tuna onigiri which was pretty good -tasted like I expected. There was a lot of rice and it was slightly hard but overall decent. We also got the chicken Katsu sandwich. There was some in the refrigerator, but upon request they made us a fresh sandwich which was served warm. It's a fairly simple sandwich with chicken sauce, lettuce, and onions. The service was quick, and the cashier was super friendly. He even offered us two Vietnamese coffees that were never picked up. The coffee was very strong and delicious. Inside there's two small tables, but it's more of a pick up and go place. Overall, I like their concept - simple, quick food options to go. I am interested in trying their drinks as there's a lot of options.
Amazing service!! Healthcare workers also get a discount. The egg sando reminds me a lot of the one I had in Japan, and the dalgona coffee is very strong!! It will keep you up LOL but very delicious! Only one person is running the shop so please be patient! Would 100% return here to try the matcha. :)
Love this spot! Super cute and great quality food items. This time around I got the dirty matcha and the katsu Sando for myself! Both were delicious. The matcha with the extra kick kept me awake and full of energy the rest of the day. The flavor was solid, very earthy and a great mix of bitter but sweet. The sando had great flavor and was PACKED. Not pictured I also got the spicy tuna rice balls. Even the rice was packed with flavor on those and they were quite spicy! Just as good as the first time I tried them. Parking is only street parking for this area so you will have to walk a little if it's busy. Service is great though! Super friendly and chill. Can't wait to come back for more!
I LOVE ONIGIRI AND EGG SANDOS. SUE ME!! We were so hungry, we ordered almost half the entire menu for two people. Thank GOODNESS the case was 50% off! My friend and I had a great experience! Onigiri was sooo good and completely filled to the brim with filling. I like that the spam musubi comes with egg! Although it might be a little bit too much rice for my liking. I thought the sandwiches were perfect. Soft bread, fluffy egg salad filling, and the piece of Katsu was big and held its crunch, despite being sauced down! CEO Spam Egg Sando was good too, but that's closer to something I could make at home, so I would pass on ordering this again. We enjoyed our drinks too! Keanu took the time to ask for our preferences with the drinks. I told him I don't like my matcha too grassy, and he obliged Here's what we ordered: - Onigiri Tuna Rice Ball ($8.50/2pc) - Spam Musubi ($8.50/2pc) - Seoul Whipped Dalgona ($6.50) - Thai Matcha Tea (I forgot LOL) - Egg Sando ($9) - Chicken Katsu Sando ($14) - CEO Spam Egg Sando ($11) Only ONE person is working at the store at any time, so if there's a lot of customers, you'll have a longer wait! I tried Market on 28th on a weekday morning and found street parking across from the business. I ordered the Hojicha Hazelnut Latte and Matcha Cloud w/oat milk. (There is an additional charge for dairy alternatives.) The Hojicha was not something I'd order again, but I like to try hojicha options whenever I see it on menus. The hazelnut syrup was subtle, which I personally prefer since I dislike overly sweet drinks. Also, it seemed a little chalky to me for some reason. The Matcha Cloud is a new drink that's not yet listed on their menu. It has a coconut milk base with a whipped matcha cream on top. I much preferred this one. Good service. Small area. Two tables inside. Bright, white interior. Would return to try a couple other drinks.
We visited this cute little spot on a Sunday. We got there when they opened since I knew they only had a couple tables inside. This ended up being a good idea because they were so busy the whole time we were there. Clearly, this place is popular. I think they were unexpectedly shorthanded but the person behind the counter (I think he was the manager) handled it professionally and with grace. Great service. We got the spam and tofu musubi, katsu sando, Taiwan dried fruit flower tea, and Thai tea matcha. I loved the dried fruit tea and would get that again. Both musubi had the classic flavors I've always loved. My friend liked her matcha but preferred a little more thai tea flavor, and was offered by the manager to add more flavor if she wanted. I ended up taking the sando home (which heated up nicely) and I also got the hojicha oatmilk latte for the road. I liked the roasted flavor of the latte. I plan to come back to try more things, and I especially want to try that coconut dessert on the menu. Weekends appear to be crazy busy so try to go early or try going on a weekday.

Quick service, great coffee, great people! Keanu was upbeat, quick and friendly with his service! Coffee is strong and delicious. The egg sandwich was perfect. The Taiwan Dried fruit tea was exceptional! Sesame balls were great as well. Highly recommend to all!

Probably depends on the time of day, but I was able to find street parking fairly easy. The cafe seems to be more of a grab n go type of vibe as it is pretty small. It's clean and cute but only has two tables for customers. I imagine on busier days it could be pretty crammed. They have an assortment of food and drink. I ordered the hojicha hazelnut latte which I found so tasty! It was definitely a drink on the sweeter side so if you don't enjoy that I might stray away from it. For all my people w a sweet tooth, you gotta try it!! The onigiri was pretty standard; it had a tasty tuna flavor with a kick and also seemed like something I could've made at home. I'll def be back for the drink and can't wait to try other flavors.
This spot is so cute! The employees are the sweetest and so kind! We got the vietnamese vanilla iced coffee and it was delicious. Next time we will come back and try the food.

I have been wanting to come here for literally YEARS and it absolutely did not disappoint! We came in for lunch after driving in from Reno. It is a very small shop and the owner is the only one running it, yet everything came out very quick and was insanely fresh! We both loved the Egg Sando as well as the Katsu Sando. The bread was soft and fluffy and all of the flavors hit the mark! My matcha was literally perfect, so excellently made and not bitter at all. My husband also loved his coffee. We already cannot wait to come back and are planning it for the next time we are in town! read more
The shop is small and adorable. I came here for the sandwiches and it did not disappoint. The chicken Katsu had really good flavors and my husband who doesn't like sauce on his sandwiches said it was tasty with the sauce. The service was very friendly! Would love to come back and try their coffee since they use coffee beans from SoCal! read more
Market on 28th is a very cute coffee shop with a charming aesthetic. The space is very small with limited seating, so I wouldn't recommend it as a work or study spot. It's definitely more of a grab-and-go kind of place. I ordered the Vietnamese Vanilla Iced Coffee, and it was delicious. Super strong (as Vietnamese coffee should be!) and it came in the cutest cup. I'd definitely go back to try another coffee and maybe even one of their sandwiches next time. Perfect little stop when you want something quick and quality. read more

I used Yelp to look for nearby cafes to try and decided to come try this place. It's my first time here! The cafe is really tiny, fitting only about 5-7 customers inside before it feels crowded. I love the simple and cozy atmosphere and design of the cafe. All the walls are white, and the front of the cafe has a giant glass window, allowing sunlight to come in. The tables are situated next to the window, giving you a nice view looking outside. The staff was kind and friendly! They welcomed me when I went in and were kind to provide suggestions of their popular menu items! The wait wasn't too long, 10-15 minutes as I was lucky to have ordered before a rush of customers came. I ordered the katsu onigiri and matcha latte with oat milk. 9/10 Matcha latte with oat milk: I liked this drink! It had a good balance of matcha and oat milk. It didn't tasted watered down, it was good. Wasn't sweet either. It's a standard matcha latte, so it was overall okay. I'll need to order the latte again with the cream! 4/10 Katsu onigiri: This was one of the secret menu items I asked about and ordered. I didn't like the rice and the katsu. There was mostly the katsu's tempura skin but barely any meat was present. The rice was not the right texture and it was hard. I was disappointed. I'd come back here to give it another chance as maybe I just got one bad order. I'll try the tuna onigiri next time. read more
Super kawaii tiny little spot! Very limited seating since it's more of a grab and go spot. The barista was kind and patient while i debated on what to order. ended up getting the Vietnamese coffee and it came in the cutest cup!! I was so obsessed with it that i even decided to keep it lol. As for the coffee it was strong and sweet. I had to drink a little at a time but it certainly did give me the energy i was looking for. read more
I have an obsession with Vietnamese coffee and it turns it out this place makes it very tasty! It's right next to Wynn park and I love how walkable the area is so it's perfect for a coffee-and-morning stroll type of vibe. It's a small coffee shop but very cozy inside. The barista was very nice and helpful when it came to all of the different drink options they have. They are priced very fair! Honestly this is the type of place that I would frequent every weekend. This was my first time coming to this spot. I've passed by it plenty of times on my usual route home and always meant to check it out. I finally had the time to stop in. It's a small, relaxed coffee shack that's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Once you're there, the vibe is very chill. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee. Nothing too fancy, but it was solid with good flavor and no complaints. They also serve food, and I've seen in the reviews that some of their dishes are pretty popular. I didn't try anything to eat this time since I had already eaten before stopping by. Next time, I definitely plan to come back and try one of their dishes. Overall, it's a nice local coffee shop. If you're in the area and haven't tried it yet, it's worth stopping by to support a neighborhood spot. read more
Cute lil spot! They're co-owned by Hidden Dumpling House next door. We tried the two matcha drinks, the Tokyo Dirty Matcha and the Matcha Cloud (not on the menu yet) and both were delicious. They have super cute designs on their cups and service was great. Quick to order, and they make your drink right there, we were even asked if we wanted to customize the sweetness level which was nice. Not a whole lot of seating but that's fine, next time we'll try some of their food. Come check this place out! read more

The dalgona coffee was too sweet for me but honestly that is how it probably should be so I would still say order it if you like a creamy sweet caramel type coffee. I would come back and try other drinks for sure. The onigiri was really good as well. It was clean and comfortable inside but very limited seating. The worker was very nice as well. read more
Cute little hole in the wall spot. Definitely easy to miss. Came on a Friday and parking was pretty easy to find but it is street parking only. The shop itself is small but cute. Only two tables inside so mostly take out orders. The person who took my order was very sweet and made suggestions for what to try. Got the iced matcha latte with vanilla and the chicken katsu sando. The matcha was balanced with the right amount of sweet! The sandwich however was not my favorite. Flavorful but the chicken was a bit hard. It was also on the pricer side, in my opinion. However I've heard some of their other menu items are worth the try so I'll be back again to give those a shot. read more

Market on 28th is cute little market that offers Asian sandwiches, snack, and drinks. Their egg sandwich is delicious at a reasonable price $9. It's essentially a Japanese mayo egg salad in Japanese milk toast. They now also offer coffee and other milk tea drinks. The service is always friendly and fast as well. The place is very small, they have two small tables inside, definitely more of a to go model place. Highly recommend. read more
I was very excited because there were a lot of positive reviews for this place but I was greatly underwhelmed by the food. I came by at about 2:30pm on a Thursday and they had most of their entrees out of stock so I couldn't try the beef guydon bowl. I ordered the unagi roll and the spam masubi. Only the eel roll was made to order, but it wasn't too impressive. The rice tastes and feels too sticky. The spam masubi is pre made and he grabbed it from the warmer so the rice feels and tastes a bit crunchy from being dried out. Also a lot of rice for the spam ratio. Could've put a bit less rice for the masubi. Inside is very small and cute. Aesthetic vibes. Overall not impressed. read more
This place is sooooo adorable! It's EXACTLY like a place you'd walk into in Tokyo. The walls, decor, tidiness, professionalism, dual translated menu, music, food taste, small seating area, etc. They even have Japanese drinks & ready made finger foods :) the vanilla latte, chicken katsu roll & chicken katsu sandos were delicious!!! 10/10 recommend!!! The only difference between here and a cafe in Japan is no time limit for the stay & no wet napkins ;) Can't wait to come back! read more

I haven't been this disappointed in a long time!!!! I was super excited to try this cute shop based off the pix, reviews and videos that have been circulating. Sadly, the disappointment started with the sandwiches (egg and spam) what a sad excuse for a sandwich! I understand it's Japanese/korean influenced but OMG the blandest sandwich I've ever had in my life. Literally just iceberg lettuce (whack) one fried egg and a sliver of spam. The spam was the only flavorful thing and that's because of its own flavoring. $11? An absolute joke...this thing should be $5 tops!! The Vietnamese coffee I just wasn't a fan of the bean/choice of espresso they used and my boyfriend's vanilla latte was also mid. All in all, the best thing I received from this visit was the cute one time use cup. They are located off of a busy street, but street parking is possible if you circle a few times. Two small tables inside with great people watching views. Service was ...OK. I left feeling like I wasted $38...I wish them well. read more
Pretty new hole in the wall spot serving up traditional, authentic Japanese dishes. Located on 28th and P street in midtown Sacramento. This place is maybe 1000 square feet altogether but that's what makes it cool. The family working here put service and quality of food before flashy and bright decor, and also before an expensive menu. The prices here are moderate compared to other similar places in the area. I tried the chicken katsu sandwich and brought it home to share with my girlfriend. We both enjoyed the crispy chicken. The soft bread make each bite feel light. The sauce on the sandwich is delicious. Loved the fresh ingredients like lettuce, tomato and onion. I would definitely order this again. I can't wait to go back and try their gyoza and spam masabi. The young lady working the counter took my order and then got to making it herself. She packaged it up and charged me with a big smile, it felt good supporting a new startup. In the competitive market of restaurants I hope this family owned place thrives. It's a really nice addition to the midtown area. read more

Cute logo = I go. :p Verrrrry soft opening, so much that the shopkeeper had to leave the place unattended (no other worker here) to prepare my chicken katsu sando "next door" (I assume at Hidden Dumpling House lol). One potential customer came into the shop and left after I informed him that the shopkeeper had been gone for a while. Eventually I got my sando (shopkeeper told me upon me ordering it that it would take 15 min to prepare but it ended up being more like 25). For reference I was here at 10 am on a weekday. Worth the wait? I dunno..... Sandwich bread needs to be changed because the sauces in the sandwich were soaking well into it. Had one bite with a thick raw onion slice. Crispy chicken crust but the meat was on the dry side. I also had a matcha with cream. Menu really should specify that the cream is *salted* because I wouldn't have added the cream (not a fan of salted cream). The matcha taste itself was nicely earthy though. Primarily a grab-and-go spot as there is only one small dining table in the shop. Finding general street parking wasn't too difficult at the time and there are a couple of 15 min street parking spots right out front. read more
