Onigiri Tuna Rice Ball
Nathan Shawn T.

I have been wanting to try this place for so long and am thrilled I finally got to try it. It's located right next to the hidden dumpling house in midtown. Probably depends on the time of day, but I was able to find street parking fairly easy. The cafe seems to be more of a grab n go type of vibe as it is pretty small. It's clean and cute but only has two tables for customers. I imagine on busier days it could be pretty crammed. They have an assortment of food and drink. I ordered the hojicha hazelnut latte which I found so tasty! It was definitely a drink on the sweeter side so if you don't enjoy that I might stray away from it. For all my people w a sweet tooth, you gotta try it!! The onigiri was pretty standard; it had a tasty tuna flavor with a kick and also seemed like something I could've made at home. I'll def be back for the drink and can't wait to try other flavors.

Quaint market with both drinks and quick meals for purchase. we ordered the tuna onigiri which was pretty good -tasted like I expected. There was a lot of rice and it was slightly hard but overall decent. We also got the chicken Katsu sandwich. There was some in the refrigerator, but upon request they made us a fresh sandwich which was served warm. It's a fairly simple sandwich with chicken sauce, lettuce, and onions. The service was quick, and the cashier was super friendly. He even offered us two Vietnamese coffees that were never picked up. The coffee was very strong and delicious. Inside there's two small tables, but it's more of a pick up and go place. Overall, I like their concept - simple, quick food options to go. I am interested in trying their drinks as there's a lot of options.

Love this spot! Super cute and great quality food items. This time around I got the dirty matcha and the katsu Sando for myself! Both were delicious. The matcha with the extra kick kept me awake and full of energy the rest of the day. The flavor was solid, very earthy and a great mix of bitter but sweet. The sando had great flavor and was PACKED. Not pictured I also got the spicy tuna rice balls. Even the rice was packed with flavor on those and they were quite spicy! Just as good as the first time I tried them. Parking is only street parking for this area so you will have to walk a little if it's busy. Service is great though! Super friendly and chill. Can't wait to come back for more!

I LOVE ONIGIRI AND EGG SANDOS. SUE ME!! We were so hungry, we ordered almost half the entire menu for two people. Thank GOODNESS the case was 50% off! My friend and I had a great experience! Onigiri was sooo good and completely filled to the brim with filling. I like that the spam musubi comes with egg! Although it might be a little bit too much rice for my liking. I thought the sandwiches were perfect. Soft bread, fluffy egg salad filling, and the piece of Katsu was big and held its crunch, despite being sauced down! CEO Spam Egg Sando was good too, but that's closer to something I could make at home, so I would pass on ordering this again. We enjoyed our drinks too! Keanu took the time to ask for our preferences with the drinks. I told him I don't like my matcha too grassy, and he obliged Here's what we ordered: - Onigiri Tuna Rice Ball ($8.50/2pc) - Spam Musubi ($8.50/2pc) - Seoul Whipped Dalgona ($6.50) - Thai Matcha Tea (I forgot LOL) - Egg Sando ($9) - Chicken Katsu Sando ($14) - CEO Spam Egg Sando ($11) Only ONE person is working at the store at any time, so if there's a lot of customers, you'll have a longer wait! Also, a friend has come 4 separate times and said that her food never looked like mine, so I think it's a hit or miss of whose prepping your food and how much they'll spoil you

I tried Market on 28th on a weekday morning and found street parking across from the business. I ordered the Hojicha Hazelnut Latte and Matcha Cloud w/oat milk. (There is an additional charge for dairy alternatives.) The Hojicha was not something I'd order again, but I like to try hojicha options whenever I see it on menus. The hazelnut syrup was subtle, which I personally prefer since I dislike overly sweet drinks. Also, it seemed a little chalky to me for some reason. The Matcha Cloud is a new drink that's not yet listed on their menu. It has a coconut milk base with a whipped matcha cream on top. I much preferred this one. Good service. Small area. Two tables inside. Bright, white interior. Would return to try a couple other drinks.

Such a cute spot! I came in for onigiri and it was super delicious -- warm, fresh, and so comforting. Definitely the highlight of my visit. I also tried their matcha coffee; it was okay for me, about a 3/5, but I'm excited to try more of their drinks next time because the menu looks interesting. The space itself is adorable, but it is pretty tight with limited seating, so it's more of a quick-stop or grab-and-go kind of place. Still, the vibes are great and the food really hits. Overall, a really charming spot with tasty onigiri and lots of drink options I can't wait to explore!

We visited this cute little spot on a Sunday. We got there when they opened since I knew they only had a couple tables inside. This ended up being a good idea because they were so busy the whole time we were there. Clearly, this place is popular. I think they were unexpectedly shorthanded but the person behind the counter (I think he was the manager) handled it professionally and with grace. Great service. We got the spam and tofu musubi, katsu sando, Taiwan dried fruit flower tea, and Thai tea matcha. I loved the dried fruit tea and would get that again. Both musubi had the classic flavors I've always loved. My friend liked her matcha but preferred a little more thai tea flavor, and was offered by the manager to add more flavor if she wanted. I ended up taking the sando home (which heated up nicely) and I also got the hojicha oatmilk latte for the road. I liked the roasted flavor of the latte. I plan to come back to try more things, and I especially want to try that coconut dessert on the menu. Weekends appear to be crazy busy so try to go early or try going on a weekday.

Quick service, great coffee, great people! Keanu was upbeat, quick and friendly with his service! Coffee is strong and delicious. The egg sandwich was perfect. The Taiwan Dried fruit tea was exceptional! Sesame balls were great as well. Highly recommend to all!

This spot is so cute! The employees are the sweetest and so kind! We got the vietnamese vanilla iced coffee and it was delicious. Next time we will come back and try the food.

Super kawaii tiny little spot! Very limited seating since it's more of a grab and go spot. The barista was kind and patient while i debated on what to order. ended up getting the Vietnamese coffee and it came in the cutest cup!! I was so obsessed with it that i even decided to keep it lol. As for the coffee it was strong and sweet. I had to drink a little at a time but it certainly did give me the energy i was looking for.

I used Yelp to look for nearby cafes to try and decided to come try this place. It's my first time here! The cafe is really tiny, fitting only about 5-7 customers inside before it feels crowded. I love the simple and cozy atmosphere and design of the cafe. All the walls are white, and the front of the cafe has a giant glass window, allowing sunlight to come in. The tables are situated next to the window, giving you a nice view looking outside. The staff was kind and friendly! They welcomed me when I went in and were kind to provide suggestions of their popular menu items! The wait wasn't too long, 10-15 minutes as I was lucky to have ordered before a rush of customers came. I ordered the katsu onigiri and matcha latte with oat milk. 9/10 Matcha latte with oat milk: I liked this drink! It had a good balance of matcha and oat milk. It didn't tasted watered down, it was good. Wasn't sweet either. It's a standard matcha latte, so it was overall okay. I'll need to order the latte again with the cream! 4/10 Katsu onigiri: This was one of the secret menu items I asked about and ordered. I didn't like the rice and the katsu. There was mostly the katsu's tempura skin but barely any meat was present. The rice was not the right texture and it was hard. I was disappointed. I'd come back here to give it another chance as maybe I just got one bad order. I'll try the tuna onigiri next time.

I have an obsession with Vietnamese coffee and it turns it out this place makes it very tasty! It's right next to Wynn park and I love how walkable the area is so it's perfect for a coffee-and-morning stroll type of vibe. It's a small coffee shop but very cozy inside. The barista was very nice and helpful when it came to all of the different drink options they have. They are priced very fair! Honestly this is the type of place that I would frequent every weekend. It's that good!

Andrea M.

Cute lil spot! They're co-owned by Hidden Dumpling House next door. We tried the two matcha drinks, the Tokyo Dirty Matcha and the Matcha Cloud (not on the menu yet) and both were delicious. They have super cute designs on their cups and service was great. Quick to order, and they make your drink right there, we were even asked if we wanted to customize the sweetness level which was nice. Not a whole lot of seating but that's fine, next time we'll try some of their food. Come check this place out!

The Italian roots and flavor are everywhere in the walls in decorations and antiques and the service. The deli was super busy and we had to wait a bit even though we ordered online but that is worth the wait. We came like at 3pm so can't imagine this place during lunch. Packed with people and the variety, freshness and quality is impressive. I had an egg sandwich....i know a little weird but it was delicious in a Dutch crunch. Bread was crunchy but soft just perfect. Wife had an Italian sandwich which was so full of meat and peoperocinis and other stuff she could only eat half. My daughter and husband shared a chicken parm sandwich and the Corti special which you pick bread and veggies and they put whatever meat they want. Kids loved their sandwiches and next time I am in Sac area I will definitely get the parm sandwich which was delicious. Very cool place and excellent service and the cost of the sandwiches???? What a neighborhood gem, so jealous!

I found out later, you can also either call your order in, or you can order pick up or delivery through DoorDash. I came back on the following Monday, and the place was still busy, but not as busy. They have a decent number of cash register stations taking orders. They have an extremely large menu. I counted 18 different Banh mi variations, and lots of other things For my starter, I wanted to try the. Pate chaud, which is pate in a puff pastry, but unfortunately, they were out. Instead, I got a mini steamed bao bun, with fried chicken in the middle. For my banh mi, I ordered the egg, sausage, and pork loaf, but instead, I got the grilled pork and egg. I'm not going to take off any stars or anything, because hey, misunderstandings happen, and it was still an amazing sandwich. They gave me a number, and it was a short wait for my sandwich. Between the registers and the people making the sandwiches in back, it's like an assembly line operation. They are quick, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The sandwich was very large, The bread was still warm. I took the sandwich home, but I ate the bao bun on the way home. It was very good. The bun had a good consistency, and the chicken was excellent. Seasoned well, just the right amount of breading, and tender on the inside. When I got the banh mi home, that's when I discovered the mixup. But I enjoyed it just as much. The egg was fluffy, and the pork was excellent. . It was a little bit sweet, like a Char siu. The pork was also very tender. The veggies were fresh. There was generous Portions. I was only going to eat half, but it was so good, I ended up eating the whole thing. I will definitely be back when I'm in South sac. Heck, that sandwich was so good, I would drive down from Rancho, just to get one. Thanks!

Were these chips hand-carved by artisans somewhere? Blessed by monks in the moonlight? I'm genuinely curious. I ordered the club, and I swear there was maybe one slice of turkey and a single, lonely piece of lettuce in the entire thing. The bun, however, was enormous, so the overall experience was like eating a fluffy bread pillow with a whisper of sandwich somewhere in the middle. Honestly, the sandwich felt a bit like a mime, the idea of a sandwich was there, but the substance was invisible. I even wondered if maybe the fillings weren't hungry themselves. By the end I felt less like I had eaten lunch and more like I had participated in a sandwich-themed illusion. Sadly, it looks like I'm Togo's-bound from here on out. I always root for unique local spots, but this felt more like a "Shamwich" than a sandwich. Tough times when the hungry leave hungry. Poor sand-wich-ship indeed.

They open at noon instead of being open when I was ready after church My husband and I walked up a couple blocks, looked at all the different restaurants, and I've seen this sandwich spot many times, but I've never tried it My husband said it was catered at his work one time, but it was the cold cuts and he said he liked it However, I walked in like the inside it was clean. I needed to use the restroom. The only thing I would say is the music in there is extremely loud in the bathroom that is. They only have one restroom, so hopefully you don't go with the group of people and everybody needs to use the restroom at once For both of us to eat it was about $30. I did get chips and a soda with mine. My husband just got the sandwich I got the. "The Damon Bruce" holy moly. This was so delicious. I only eat 1/2 brought the other half home. My brother was here and he ate it and he said it was so good too so it comes with onion ring steak and they ask you if you want to put any vegetable vegetables in there so I added the tomato the lettuce and I also wanted red onion in it. Let me tell you this is my new favorite sandwich place. I'm a little bummed that there's not one in Natomas! However, I'm really glad to know this place exist.. My husband got a steak sandwich. I don't know the name of it. He said he has never had a hot sandwich before and it was so good. He doesn't give vegetables and stuff, but he did get jalapeños in his and I seen him scarf it down so he must've loved it. They got barbecue chips ate a few of them. Their bags are a little bit different, but it was good. They didn't have root beer for soda that's my only downfall. It's one of my favorite drinks however I shouldn't be drinking soda anyways, but I did have Pepsi. This made for a great afternoon after church and I will make this one of my regular stops every month The only thing that was negative was the music being too loud in the bathroom and the girl that handed me the bag of the food, but I've learned that teenagers young people these days they are not like we used to be when we were young so it's kind of like just a handoff and I don't wanna say it was rude because I think this is just how teenagers are these days. 10/10 say you must try!

I'm likely in the minority in my opinion, but bear with me. I'm torn between a 3 and a 4, and…read moresticking with a 3 because this shop just didn't measure up ... to me. For starters, Ike's has its own way of doing things: plain mayo is not their thing. Only way to get plain mayo on a sandwich is to get lucky that there's a smidgen still left in a jar in the fridge after they prepare their house spread. They mix GARLIC and gawd knows what else for spices to make their Ike's sauce, so allergies beware. They offer plain mustard, but not plain mayo? For seconds, the sandwich bread is not up to the challenge of holding together the mountain of fillings inside. Pics prove my point. I want to eat a sandwich with my hands, not a plastic fork (or a shovel). And I don't want to wear it, not in public. Proportions, people! One size does not fit all. Now, in fairness, the meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato were fresh, chilled, and flavorful. However, IMHO $2.00+ to add equivalent of half an avocado is robbery when a whole avocado is $1 in the market. Fortunately I arrived when there wasn't another person in the store so I was able order up a plain ham and cheese sub with L, T, and A. The counter person was patient as I attempted to navigate the menu board. I communicated my wish for a simple sandwich and it arrived, albeit ridiculously overstuffed and above my budget expectations. Props for kindness and understanding. My first visit to any shop is always testing how well they do basics. So far, I'm not an Ike's fan. I'm no newcomer to sub sandwiches. At 82, and being a Massachusetts native, I've been a sub girl for at least 75 years, ever since I could wrap my fingers around the perfect sub roll. For more adventurous sandwich people, go for broke! This is your place!
