So excited to have happened upon this small "hole in the wall" ramen bar. Parking was easy with a plenty of spots right outside the restaurant and there was plenty of seating indoors, although we did arrive for a late lunch on a Friday. We ordered the Chasu ramen and spicy black garlic chasu ramen with the karaage chicken. The food came out quickly and very hot; I love my soup very hot, haha. The chicken was crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. It was seasoned perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the sauce but the chicken alone was just enough! I loved my chasu ramen bowl. The homemade broth was so tasty and savory; I finish my whole bowl included all the broth because it was that good. The soft boiled egg was nice especially since they gave you the full egg and not just one half. They gave big pieces of meat which was nice and a lot of goodies in the bowl. My husband got the spicy black garlic chasu which was also good. The spice hits you in the back of your mouth and throat with that warm and tingling sensation all the way down to your tummy versus just spicy on the tongue which is nice. Looking forward to coming back and trying the tonkatsu!

This was our first time coming here. It's at the end of a strip mall behind a Greek restaurant and down the way on in the same strip mall as a Cosmetology store and a sushi place. Parking can become an issue during peak times, but luckily we went on a Saturday for lunch and got a spot close by. It's a small restaurant They have 8 tables/booths. The table we sat at was in the middle and held 8 people. It was the only one open when we arrived. There is a cold draft when people open the door so that was a bit chilly. They have a single bathroom labeled customer on it. It was clean and spacious. There is a glass cases by the cash register. The cases on the left held drinks of all kinds including sake and beer. The case on the right might of held desserts, I wasn't close enough to see. Service was good. They came by several times to check on us and to refill our water glasses. We both ordered R1, Chasu Ramen for $13.99. It was delicious. It's the best Chasu I've every had, It was meaty and not too fatty like most of them are. My husband was going to order another Ramen, but was informed that the pork was fried so he opted for R1 with me. The broth was fabulous. My husband said that with out a good broth you don't have a good Ramen. The broth makes the difference. The noodles were fresh and plentiful. It also came with bean sprouts that gave it a crunch, mushrooms, and a egg. I recommend this place for there good ramen and I will be back. I do suggest in the winter time dress a bit on the warm side if you sit near the door.

This was my first time coming here. Typically I avoid restaurants in this area, because parking has been terrible in my experience. Thankfully when I did come a few weeks ago, parking was not a problem. I ordered the black garlic chashu ramen. The broth was fantastic! Great flavor and the ramen was perfect on a cold day. Our server was very nice and great at refilling our water.

Their ramen was filling and flavorful. We got the spicy and they were kind enough to make one less spicy. Food was fast and friendly service.

Wow so let me say I found this gem through someone's video randomly on some social media site so I bookmarked it - I wanted a banh mi but was feeling like some good soup and hadn't had ramen in a while! Am I glad we came YES YES AND YES!! This place is the bomb and if you love ramen you have to check it out! Walking up I saw two ladies and asked have you eaten here? Both said oh yes all the time - the older proceeded to tell us her daughter was home from college and they always have to come! She names several menu items she loves and then said but everything is really good! Ramen: it was the first one on the menu upper left and let me tell you it is amazing! I wanted more - the pork belly so flavorful and tender loved the cabbage and bean sprouts and black mushrooms! The flavor was perfect and the noodles on point. Couldn't have been happier! Green onion pancake - fluffy and yummy! Good simple sauce Bao pork bun - pretty standard and nothing wow but still good (should have tried the tonkatsu sandwich!) Chicken karaage - lightly battered and cooked perfectly- sauce could have been a little smoother for my taste but it worked well with the dish! Yummy stuff! Beef and rice - this is a winner just like the ramen! We wanted the pork but they were sold out so we went with the beef! Ironically it was the dish the lady suggested as we walked in! Oh my it was AMAZING! The beef was delicious and the rice perfectly cooked with just a little of the sauce from the beef on the bottom and the broccoli was crunchy and delicious. Favorite was this and the ramen!!! Thai ice tea was also note worthy not super sweet or thick but great flavor! Lemonade - tasted homemade fresh and yummy!! The restaurant is chill with no frills but super cute and you know they have good food by the amount of people who kept coming in!! Great staff very friendly and tried to keep up with the crowd! It got crazy busy for the small establishment but we never felt ignored so that was good!!

We ordered chashu ramen and spicy chashu ramen. Both ramen bowls taste flavorful. The chashu was delicious and easy to bite. The noodles' texture was okay. The shop has some seated tables. The plaza has limited parking.

Straight to the point, no frills, absolutely amazing ramen location. Cannot recommend Soku enough (especially compared to other competitor locations). The ramen is absolutely amazing, and the noodles are amazing. Their veggie ramen is the best in town with a delicious and flavorful broth. The service here is always amazing. Quick, efficient, and always friendly!

Chicken katsu ramen, tempura shrimp and tonkatsu sando.

Little bubs and I needed to find lunch on my day off, so asked her what she wanted to eat. "Noodles! Ramen!" So I looked up ramen near East Sac and landed on Soku. I was interested as well because of the sando pictures. We ordered tempura shrimp, chicken katsu ramen and the tonkatsu sandwich. The ramen was very good. I don't normally like the flavor of should broth because I've had really bad versions of it, but this was excellent. Great balance of salty and umami. The noodles were nice and chest and katsu was nicely cooked. Tempura shrimp were good too. Tempura was not heavy or craggy or too much batter. And the sando! Whooo so happy. Bread so soft and pillows, perfect ratios of filling to bread. And the tonkatsu was cooked nicely as well. Happy we found this spot, next time I guess we will bring the husband along haha

I've been seeing this place around my neighborhood for a while and always told myself I'd try it eventually. Finally had a craving for ramen, so I decided to stop in and I'm glad I did. The vibe inside was chill and inviting. It wasn't super packed, but there was a good flow of people, which made it feel lively without being loud. I ordered the spicy ramen and a poured goju to go with it. The food came out pretty quick. The ramen was flavorful with a nice kick to it, and the goju hit the spot. Nothing over-the-top, but definitely solid and satisfying. Service was simple and efficient; friendly enough, no complaints. It felt good to finally check this place off my "local spots I keep saying I'll try" list. I'll probably come back again to try something different next time. Overall, a good experience--worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for ramen.

We like coming here for our ramen and/or katsu sando fix :) the staff is friendly and the food is delicious! I usually get their spicy Romen and hot tea (only comes in green). The spicy ramen gives a nice kick. It's a really good size (I would say it's a shareable portion) and hits home especially on a rainy day. The egg is perfectly runny and there are plenty of toppings. I really like the animated tapestry on the wall and they have very subtle instrumental music playing in the background. Their bathroom needs some TLC but other than that super cute place. Definitely coming back agai

This review is only for to-go orders. When I'm craving a Japanese sandwich, I come here and order one to go. I've never eaten inside the restaurant, but it looks clean when I come here to order and wait for my food. Service is excellent and they always greet you and take your order in a timely manner. I usually see other costumers dining in and enjoying their food. I've only had the chicken Katsu sandwiches from here, and it is good. I enjoy it and it fills me up. You can go a la carte sandwich or with a side of fries. They also have ramen and a few other dishes, which I still have to try. Parking is a bit tight, but you can always do street parking if the lot of full. Will have to try other items on the menu.

I was pleasantly surprised by the good food. I started with the potato cakes that were delicious followed by the black garlic ramen both tasted really good. Service was great my server never let my water get low. Its a casual place in a small plaza.

What a quaint restaurant. I had the tonkatsu sandwich and it reminded me of how it's made in Japan. 9/10. I personally would order it with less mayo in the future but the tonkatsu was spot on. It was perfectly fried and the inside was juicy. I additionally had the black ramen 8/10. It was flavorful but could have been stronger.

Do they serve alcohol? If not is byob allowed?

Yes they do have alcohol. I think they have beer and sake

    Is the tofu ramen vegan?

    Yes there is .

Do they have a gluten free noodle option?

No, called today, 1/16/2023, and definite "we are a ramen restaurant and not gluten free". So no arguing that, sigh.

    Are they still close?

    Open now for dine in!

What vegan options do they have and are their staff knowledgeable about what can be made vegan?

The menu had a veggie ramen that came in a vegan broth. There was also a tofu ramen that I'm sure you could ask to have the vegan broth subbed in.

Is this place still open? Just stopped by and restaurant is closed but their hours of operation, say open.

I thought they are closed Sundays and Mondays
