Our lunch - 1.5 lb Korean BBQ CHICKEN
Marat S.

A True Taste of Korea in the Heart of Sacramento There are restaurants where you simply go to eat, and then there are places where a meal becomes a memory. This Korean restaurant in Sacramento was definitely the second kind. From the moment the food started arriving at the table, you could feel the care and tradition behind it. The table filled up with beautiful Korean banchan--different flavors, textures, colors, and little surprises in every dish. Fresh vegetables, savory sides, spicy and sweet flavors, and that unmistakable Korean balance between comfort and boldness. The star of the meal was the sizzling Korean BBQ. Tender, juicy, beautifully seasoned meat with that smoky, slightly caramelized flavor that makes you immediately reach for another bite. It was the kind of food that doesn't need to be complicated--it just needs to be done right. And here, it was done right. We also had noodles, rice, and all those little side dishes that make Korean dining such a special experience. Nothing felt rushed or careless. The food felt generous, authentic, and made with the kind of attention that you can actually taste. What I loved most, though, was the feeling around the table. Korean food has a special way of bringing people together. You share everything. You reach across the table, try something new, laugh, talk, and keep discovering another dish you didn't realize you needed. This wasn't just dinner. It was one of those meals that reminds you why food is so much more than simply filling your stomach. Food carries culture, memories, family, tradition, and emotion. If you're in Sacramento and looking for Korean food that feels soulful, generous, and satisfying, I absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Good food. Good people. Great memories. 10/10 -- I'll definitely be back.

SOOOO GOOD! Probably the best Korean food in Sacramento honestly! We got the seafood pancake, soy garlic wings, galbi dinner pot, Tteokbokki with noodles and eggs. The service was so good and the food was fresh, all my friends and I were so happy we got to meet up and try it together. Go check it out cuz it's still fairly new and the waitress was so sweet and attentive. 100/10 experience.

I want this restaurant to succeed soo much! This restaurant seems like it's run by mom and pop. The decor is not that great, the ambiance inside is not that great, but something with the vibe gives you a feeling you get when you visit Korean mom and pop shop in LA or in Korea. Seafood pancake is a highlight for sure, and when we were there, all the other diners are speaking Korean. this is how you know it's authentic.

So happy to find this little gem. Great lunch menu! Portions were generous, much like dinner except with affordable lunch prices. Banchan (side dishes) came with our meal (which is pretty standard for Korean restaurants). They were all super yummy, which I don't normally experience. So worth it. Will def be back!

Came to K kitchen because we saw it was a newer place, and I'm glad I did. It's a smaller restaurant however the portion sizes didn't disappoint. We came during dinner on a Sunday so the place was already pretty busy. They've got a grand opening event going on so they've got some amazing deals for food everything on that page is 9$. They seem to be working with limited staff right now so I would recommend if you go to be a bit patient because our waitress was also our host/busser, she was doing it all. Not only that but she was extremely nice. Once the food started rolling out everything was delicious, from the side dishes to the fondue. If I were to recommend anything it would be the seafood pancake, at 9$ you can't beat the value, and the Korean fried chicken, it was only supposed to be 4 for 9& however the staff hooked us up because we had been waiting for a while but we didn't mind. I would 100% come back and try more of their menu as it is very extensive. TLDR: great food, great prices, support your local mom and pop shops

Walked into K Kitchen and it was packed so I almost left. I noticed there was like 30 Korean Grandmas eating lunch so I knew it was about to be legit. Food was really good. Probably the best Seafood pancake and Korean Fried Chicken I've had. Staff is nice and friendly and the space is clean. Highly recommend trying.

Truly authentic Korean food if you're in the market for it. Ate here a couple of times already and the quality never changed. Waitresses are kind and attentive. Interior is pretty cozy as well. Food is fresh and delicious.

Bimbimbop (+ coworker gave me her hard boiled egg)

My coworker saw this new restaurant opened and wanted to try them out for lunch so 4 of us went. It's a small place but nice and clean. Their menu is Ai so it's confusing cuz the photos are so unrealistic lol but if you're familiar with Korean food you'll have an idea of what to expect. We ordered the seafood pancake to share family style and then we each got our own main dish. Two of us got their Bimbimbop lunch special, another got the stone pot Bimbimbop lunch special, and then finally the Bibim-naengmyeon. The prices are very reasonable and the lunch specials are a great deal. You get water and some banchan for the whole table. All of us really enjoyed our food. Really nice flavors for everything. I will come back for the Bibim-naengmyeon!!

We eat Korean food regularly, and I am leaving a review. I've recently heard this place is relatively new place that they opened. We visited this place last week, and definitely, much improvements are needed. - Beef soup with rice. Taste rating: 3 out of 5 Menu's pic and the actual food looks very different for the soup (photos attached). The soup was actually spicy (little less spicy than Shin ramen) and decent. - Korean chicken wings (I ordered as sauce on the side; sauce: sweet hot). Taste rating: 0.5 out of 5 As you can see in my attached photo, the fried chicken came out burned and it was bitter. It was actually my least favorite Korean chicken I've ever had. I recommend them to change the batter, make thinner batter, and not overcook. Also, I recommend to change the sweet hot sauce to make it more like Korean yang yum chicken sauce. As I really hope this place improves as they go, I am leaving the additional feedback: - I appreciate the good prices from the "special menu" that they are currently offering. Also, their ban chan (complimentary side dishes) were surprisingly good. I believe they are tad better than Pine Tree house in terms of the taste (even though this place offers less types of ban chan). - I believe they need to update the menu to make it look close to the actual foods they are offering. - The Korean female worker needs to be trained on knowledge of the foods they are offering. She was not able to answer questions about how's the food that they had (she was not aware of the taste of the foods they were offering).

The food was so delicious! Definitely authentic Korean comfort food. It's a mom and pop shop and the service was so friendly. I could not stop eating the banchan. They had an eggplant banchan that I'm still dreaming about. I also loved their version of Seafood pancake. It was so tasty and crispy. Everything I ordered was so solid. Dare I say the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had! We are definitely coming back.

King Beef Galbi Fondue

This newly opened Korean restaurant offers delicious food. I eagerly awaited its opening and visited as soon as it was ready. The inside was clean and appears to still be getting their décor set up, but the food and service were great! We indulged in a feast by ordering the king beef galbi fondue for two. The fondue itself was incredibly flavorful, and even the accompanying sides and salad were equally tasty. The friendly and attentive staff made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to explore more of the restaurant's menu.

Banchan (sides)

I stopped by K Kitchen after their grand opening and wanted to leave an honest review because they received a negative review before they were even officially open. I ordered the Korean BBQ short ribs and the beef tofu soup, and both were absolutely delicious. The short ribs were tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The tofu soup had a rich, comforting broth with great flavor and tasted fresh and authentic. I also wanted to mention that my experience was nothing like the review claiming the restaurant smelled like urine or had rats. During my visit, the restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I didn't notice anything like that. Don't let one review keep you from giving this place a chance. Judge it based on your own experience. Based on my visit, K Kitchen is off to a great start, and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Congratulations on the grand opening!

Soy garlic and original wings
Jenny W.

You can always tell if a Korean restaurant will be good by the quality of their banchan - so believe me when I say that K Kitchen has some of the best Korean food in Sacramento! The banchan had a great variety with a mix of the typical items you might see at other nearby spots, and some more unique items like the spicy braised eggplant, egg fried tofu, and pan fried zucchini. I am still thinking about the eggplant dish! The Korean fried chicken was perfectly crispy without being oily, and the soy garlic sauce was a good balance of savory and sweet. The seafood pancake was also delicious - almost like tempura with crispy batter and filled with a ton of shrimp and squid. I was pretty full by the time we got to the galbitang soup and entrees - the galbi and bossam were especially delicious, and the latter came with lettuce wraps, pickled radish, and three different sauces. The galbijim also came with with an option to add fondue cheese, which was really unique compared to most places that just torch mozzarella cheese on top. There were even different options for fondue including a spicy option! Can't wait to come back and try more items. I definitely recommend coming with a large group - the portions are generous and the menu is pretty extensive, so being able to share family style is great if you want a variety of dishes.

The egg was raw in the center of the rice and everything cooked well when I stirred it in the hot stone pot. There were a lot of banchan (side dishes) and the server checked a couple times to see if we needed refills. The number of banchan dishes were more than most Korean restaurants in the area. Service was good as the workers were helpful and friendly. There is a $0.50 charge per to-go container. The containers are not special and are standard plastic containers. Most restaurant distributors sell these containers by the case for less than $0.25 each. I found it absurd that this restaurant is profiting off selling to-go containers at a significant markup.

It comes with beef, kimchi, and a variety of other toppings in a hot stone bowl that crisps up the rice. I also love their Soon Du Bu (tofu soup). First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

Best way to eat it is to pick it up and bite into it like you would a burger to get the full effect.
