Everything about this place is amazing. The ladies are soooo nice and the food tastes all homemade. We always have a great time here and get plenty of food. They were super busy on Sat and couldn't be more happy for them and their business. Will continue to support them!

Been my favorite Korean restaurant in Sacramento since my first visit over a decade ago. Love the short ribs (galbi) here and the banchans. Every time I come, it's different side dishes and it is so fun to eat. Love the new Doshirak Box where you can choose 2 mains. Pictured here is the beef bulgogi and chicken teriyaki. The cold noodles are a must during the summer. Can't wait to come back and try more things. I like the kimchi pancake I got this time too.

One of my go-to Korean spots in the Sacramento area. It is always a solid choice. I recently came here with some girlfriends and we ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi, seafood pancake, marinated raw crab, bossam, and O Sam. The raw crab and O Sam are my personal favorites. I also appreciate the wide variety of banchan that come with the meal. If you are in the mood for Korean food, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I recently visited Pine Tree Korean Restaurant in Sacramento and overall had a good experience. The food was good and the portions were generous. You definitely get a nice serving size, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. It's not super fancy, but it feels welcoming and well kept. One thing to note is that if you're not familiar with Korean food, it can be a little tricky ordering. You might have to point to the menu to make sure you're getting what you want. Some of the dishes and side items can be confusing if you don't know how everything is meant to be eaten. Thankfully, one of the ladies came over and helped us by showing us how to eat it properly, which I actually appreciated. It was a little awkward at first, but also kind of nice because she made sure we were doing it right and enjoying the meal the way it's meant to be eaten. So it's good and bad in a way. Overall, good food, clean place, and a solid spot if you're craving Korean food. Just be ready to ask questions if you're new to it. I'd come back again. I thought it took picture of all our dishes but omgosh I guess my camera didnt even captured anything.

This was my first visit to Pine Tree House. I came here with my older Korean friend who hadn't been in a while and thought it would be a decent spot for us for lunch. It wasn't hard to find, and there were a fair amount of parking spaces that were filled up. We arrived a little after noon on a Monday, and although it was busy, we were seated pretty quickly. The ambiance is pretty casual-- very much that traditional neighborhood Korean restaurant vibe. Nothing particularly modern or trendy about it. It felt comfortable enough, just maybe not somewhere you'd necessarily go for a special occasion -- more of a practical, everyday meal kind of spot. They brought out about 12 complimentary sides and some cold tea. The sides were good, and they kindly provided more when we asked. We often had to ask for water refills though. I ordered the cheese "dduck bok gi" and the seafood (dolsot) "stone pot bibimbap." My friend ordered the Soondae Guk (listed as Spicy Soondae Soup), which is a traditional Korean blood sausage soup she grew up eating. I was initially looking for sundubu-jjigae and felt a little silly when I couldn't find it on the menu -- turns out it's listed under soft tofu soup -- but I skipped it because I already had more than enough food. One small but very real gripe: the chopsticks. They gave us flat metal chopsticks that were SO uneven it was genuinely hard to pick anything up. We ended up asking for the cheap wooden takeout chopsticks just to eat comfortably. Food-wise, I enjoyed my meal. The cheese pull from the spicy rice cakes was satisfying, and once I mixed up my bibimbap, the crispy rice at the bottom was exactly what I wanted. They gave me gochujang on the side (I love adding a lot), and I was huuungry so I finished the entire bibimbap and even took some "dduck bok gi" home for my kiddo. The main hiccup came with my friend's soup. Before ordering, she specifically asked the waitress how many pieces of blood sausage came in the soondae guk, since some places tend to skimp. She made it clear she wouldn't order it if the portion wasn't right. When the soup arrived, it only had two pieces. She brought it up, and an older staff member (possibly the owner) came out to explain the soup to her personally. Unfortunately, it came off as though they were assuming she didn't know what she was ordering, which didn't sit well with her -- especially since she had already clarified her expectations. After some back and forth (which I witnessed in Korean and could pick up from tone and context), they corrected it and provided the minimum amount they initially stated. She was satisfied in the end, but the whole exchange was a bit tiresome. Overall, the food itself was good. Nothing was bad, and the dishes were enjoyable. But nothing really stood out compared to other Korean spots, and with service that felt just okay (and a slightly awkward experience), it doesn't strongly incentivize me to return. It's fine for a casual meal -- just not particularly memorable (in a good way).

If you're looking for place to get some Korean food, you should visit Pine Tree House! This is also a good place to go with friends and family because you can share many dishes. I've been coming here for a few years now and they do not disappoint. When entering you're greeted by kind aunties that seat you quickly so you can get started with your meal. The restaurant is quiet with a simple layout, and it feels like home when I visit. They start with bringing out side dishes like any other Korean restaurant would, but I think their's is the most special. I enjoy their kimchi, spicy salad, fish cakes, and steamed egg. Also, they recently started to serve barley tea and it's very refreshing when you're eating something hot and spicy. The menu is easy to read, and I typically go for the stone pot bibimbap, spicy cold noodle, or stew. Recently, I decided to try the spicy beef noodle, and I was really surprised by the flavor and spice! After placing the order, I waited about 10 to 15 minutes before the food came out, which was quick for the amount of people there at the time. The noodles had the perfect chewiness to them and the broth had a rich beefiness to it. If your side dishes are running low, they ask if you would like a refill and there's no additional cost! The staff are so sweet and make an effort to have a conversation with you. They ask if the you're enjoying the food and frequently come by to check on you, which I appreciate! Overall, Pine Tree House is a fantastic Korean restaurant in Sacramento that deserves more attention! I definitely recommend the spicy beef noodle or stone pot bibimbap if you decide to visit!

Order everything on the menu. This app is stating my review must be at least 85 characters but I literally have nothing further to add everything was unbelievable.

This is my favorite Korean restaurant. Nice family owned place that seems to be very popular because it's always busy whenever I come. They are generous with their banchan, which are numerous and full of flavor. I always get the bip bim bap. I think it is best as veggie or with chicken. They marinate the chicken so it has great flavor. And I don't know what their secret is but their bip bim bap just tastes better than everyone else's. And the portion is just right, though I never manage to finish the banchan, but we take it home and enjoy it again later. Service is always friendly, and they make quite a lot of things like their special sauces in house. Definitely come and enjoy this great little place!

My parents took me to Pine Tree House for my birthday, which has been on my list for a while, and I was thoroughly impressed! We got the kimchi pancake, the cold noodles, the Kalbi, as well as the tofu soup. Everything we ordered surpass my expectations! I loved how they had so many banchan options; my favorites were the kimchi radish as well as the japchae. Entree wise, my favorite was probably the galbi. I could tell it was marinated very well, and the meat was very tender. It's hard to impress my parents, but they loved everything we ordered as well. I'm excited for the next time I go back to order more items! Service was great as well, as the workers helped give some recommendations which was helpful. I wish the restaurant was closer to me, but I definitely wouldn't mind the drive.

Holy moly this was out of the way for me but it was worth it!!! There were so many sides that I've never tried before. They also gladly refilled on our favorites. Everything was spectacular. One thing that surprised me was the chicken soup, it was so hearty and perfect for after snowboarding. I was so full after this meal, I would definitely come back!

First time here , service is great and they are very welcoming! Food is great! I have no complaints and will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu! The portions are great for sharing and our server asked us if we would like any refills on any banchans which we really appreciated, we didn't need any refills other than the kimchi. We were stuffed! 10/10 will recommend!

This little place ran by a bunch of amazing ajummas was delicious! They're so fun to ask questions with.. half the time I don't understand what their answers are but they're too cute to worry about what they said lol .. we went as a group of 4 and had ordered the O Sam bulgogi and 3 bulgogi tofu soups.. the spread of banchan was amazing! So many different side dishes to eat with our meal. The o sam bulgogi is great! It's spicy pork with lots of veggies in a savory sauce .. It's cooked in a pan right at the table .. and as soon as you finish about half the pan .. they mix in rice and kimchi to make a kimchi fried rice with the rest of the leftovers to make a second dish out of the order for you. The bulgogi tofu soup is a must for cold days! It was deliciously savory! I asked for extra tofu in mine! This place is a must for delicious Korean sit down lunch or dinners..

It's only been a week since coming back home from Sacramento, and one of the restaurants I fondly remember is Pine Tree House. My cousins and I were hungry and we ended up ordering a lot (which we wiped out completely by the way). Seafood Pancake - the pancake was so thick and FULL of seafood! It was very crispy, and out of everything we ordered it was my absolute favorite. Spicy Raw Marinaded Crab - it was spicy and flavorful. The crab meat was fresh, and paired perfectly with rice. Spicy Rice Cakes with Cheese - A great classic Korean dish. It almost had a rosé vibe to it (as if a bit of cream was added, but it was likely from the cheese). Super delicious. Soondae (Korean Blood Sausage) - This might not be for everyone, but I love blood sausage. This was really stuffed with rice so each little bite was hearty. Sesame Chicken - Great flavor for this one. Pairs perfect with rice as well. Also have to mention that all the side dishes provided were so fresh and flavors were on point. Everything just tasted so good, I could not believe I was eating such high quality food here. Our waitress (I think her name is Ko) was also super sweet and friendly. Pine Tree House is a must visit!

They have a variety of different fusion flavors that all tie to Korean cuisine. A must get is for sure their Booty Booldak; other than the fun name lol, it's served with crispy taters and cheese melted on top. I also tried their Kimchi Karbonara for the first time! It was good, but I wished there were more noodles, because we were left with a lot of bacon bits in the end. Our server, Sierra, was so sweet! She was welcoming and friendly, and we even had great conversations with her. She was also quick at serving us and getting what we needed.

Apparently that night was their 3 (?) year anniversary, so not sure if this is always the case but they did have a whole live DJ on the main floor. When we arrived there were a couple other tables dining. There isn't much seating inside, and most of the tables ended up being blocked off for bottle service lol Me and my girl were there to eat so we ordered as many dishes as our tiny table could handle! Kimchi Carbonara - TBH this tasted like spaghetti... with some kimchi and bacon. It wasn't bad, but it tasted exactly the way I described it. They should just take the carbonara out of the dish's name completely. I wouldn't order it again, just cause the bacon flavor was really smokey and strong. Spicy wings - These were actually really good! Served with pickled jalapenos, pickled radish, and a cabbage salad! Just make sure you get some rice on the side. The wing sauce was spicy! Not overly, but just enough. It was sweet but not too sweet. I would recommend! Mandu- Decent. Not spectacular, but a good side to round out your meal. The dipping sauce was yummy, a nice sweet soy. Pink Venom - The flavor was so good. Tasted like a pink starburst. If you like sweet drinks, this one is it! Didn't taste the alcohol at all though. Parking sucks so bad, we had to park a couple blocks away and cross some train tracks but we made it! The waiters were so nice and checked up on us even with the whole party going on. The bouncers though didn't pass the vibe check and I didn't really like that we got IDed so many times. We're in our mid 30s lol.. be frr. The whole vibe is fun, they have a full bar and apparently in the back room, it's another bar/lounge scene. It wasn't that type of night for me, but I would come back to eat and hang out if I was in the area. Keep in mind though, the crowd is early 20s!

First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

The bone broth soup was so good, there were a few times when I just got a large/double order of that to go. Service was always friendly and great, and I heard that the owners are moving out of state to be closer to family due to illness. Sad to see them go. Wonder what will take its place, until then Natomas only really has the chain Bonchon left for Korean food.

I'm really sad to find out they are closing in two weeks! FYI they're called Manna Bunsik, not…read moreTtobongee. I don't know why I waited so long to come here. The food is very tasty and the portions are nice. Service was very friendly too. They were so busy today they ran out of beef bulgogi but offered us a generous alternative as an apology. We finished very full and had lots of leftovers. KFC boneless: crunchy with nice strong sauces. Too salty for our palates but very tasty. Banchan: large scoops were given, our favorite was the broccoli, beef bone broth and japchae. Chicken bulgogi set and tofu soup set: both were fabulous. Chicken had a nice char, soup had large pieces of tofu. Dumpling soup: the pork mandu were very yummy. It's a large portion soup. I'm gonna try to come here a few more times before they close. I think the prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants in the Sacramento area, maybe a little cheaper.

There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

I will preface this by saying I should come back and judge based off their main menu offerings,…read morehowever they offer a separate brunch menu and that is what I had for my visit at fuji sac. We orderd the loco moco and breakfast fried rice with scrambled eggs. The eggs were deliciously scrambled. The fried rice was ok. The big concern was my burger patty was really burnt. The consistency and flavor of the gravy was interesting. We were the first visitors of the day so I'd say while it eventually filled up, not sure the reason behind burned food. Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.

Yum! Was unsure about lunch one day so the husband brought home Kindred Seoul. He swore by them…read more(he's a state worker nearby the restaurant and has had them many times before). I ordered the beef cupbop and it hit the spot! All the flavors I could've asked for: sweet, salty, umami goodness. The rice was perfectly fluffy, the japchae nicely cooked, and the beef was so tasty. Great portion and was a nice, warm lunch on a cold day. If you're a state worker and haven't tried them yet, you need to! Delicious Korean food that's fresh and filling!

Located in the Allenby Building State building in Downtown Sacramento. They have a vast eating area…read morethat you can bring your own lunch if you choose, you don't have to order from Kindred Seoul to eat in the building. I've only eaten here once, but it appeared that was plenty of seating for many more people. When we walk by it's never been packed. Parking is mostly street parking with some parking in local garages. They have 2 very clean unisex bathrooms to the right of the counter. You order at the counter and then they call your number. We arrived a few minutes after Noon. There was only 1 person in-front of us and 1 person behind us so we thought it would be a quick lunch. As it turns out several people went through the line before us and the wait was around 15 minutes. Kind of an excessive wait for a counter lunch. There was one girl holding her baby taking the orders and one girl filling the orders. She was going as fast as she could, but it still took awhile. It got really backed up. I ordered the BBQ Beef Cupbop. I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out the bottom layer is white rice, next is a layer of glass noodles, then comes the can corned, a mixture of cabbage, and topped with the BBQ Beef. It was very tasty. A little on the spicy side, which made it just more flavorful. It wasn't mouth watering or eye tearing hot. It just had a little kick. The consistency of the meat reminded me of ground beef. It was very finely chopped strips. Overall it was really good. Very filling for the amount you get. It's more than we usually have for lunch. My husband had the chicken soy ginger. I had some and it was really good, but fried, so probably not as healthy as the BBQ Beef. It doesn't appear that they cook to order any food here, but they do scoop to order. From what I could see they sell a variety of Cupbop flavors, including a vegetarian option. They also sell sandwiches, salads, and a burrito. They have an ice water dispenser at the end of the counter with water cups. The vibe was interesting. You are surrounded by state worker from all different agencies all minding their own business. Many groups of 2-6 were eating together. There were less singles than groups.
