This was the first time I've seen smores at KBBQ along with a ramen station where you can make your own ramen. Even though, I didn't get to try the ramen it was still crazy they had it on top of everything else. For everything they offer, the price was cheaper than a regular KBBQ down in SoCal or a Gen so points for that. This was an easy go-to Kbbq spot, short wait and food was good but over the years it started to lack a lot of things. I came here frequently because they offered a mini course, which is such a good deal if you don't want so much for kbbq. I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon now. The service I received this one day was probably the worst service ever. Server was not attentive at all and did not follow any of our orders as simple as getting us water when asked multiple times. We barely got to order our rounds, we maxed at 3 rounds with just two bowls of meat each round because we waited so long for our server. The sides have gotten more bland and not as flavorful. They have different tier AYCE menus that you can choose from, and your food is delivered by a robot. They have a decent selection of meats and items you can choose from. The buffet area also had a small variety of food, along with a sauce station where you can DIY your own sauce to your liking. And if you want to take a break from the meat, you have your options of sushi and even a ramen station. The bad: although there was a decent selection, the quality of the food felt lacking. Disappointed by the entire experience. I was excited for the metal food trays and the seaweed rolls, pork skin, chicken gizzards that I saw in the Yelp photos but it seems they got rid all of that. Metal food trays would be been so much more convenient grabbing the banchans than individual tiny bowls. That would've made this place stand out amongst other kbbq places, it's too bad they got rid of it. The customer service was also very lacking, they barely checked on us and we had to flag the down every time to order more food. Last visit was in 2023 , same AYCE with more options like sushi , hotpot , instant ramen station where you can pick your own ramen flavor and make it. The Banchan walk up bar is still there with a few changes but still have your basics and soups and rice. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner. I wanted to try a kbbq place that we both have not been to before so we decided on Bullta. The place is nicely decorated and felt perfect for our date. Unfortunately, I started knocking stars down within seconds of walking in. There was no host in the front. Staff saw us but completely ignored us. We were standing in the front with no acknowledgment for a good 15 mins. Finally, the host showed up. No apologies. I asked how long the wait was. She said it will be quick as she just needed to seat the 2 groups ahead of us. Another 15 mins have gone by and we were not seated. The host was in between her station in the front and in the back doing other duties. While she was in the front, she ignored all the other customers that came in after us. Again, no acknowledgments or informing customers that she will be with them shortly. She definitely lacked in proper customer service. We were finally seated. The menus were really dirty. Water cup had lipstick stains. Our server was nice and pretty attentive at least. He explained how it works since it was our first time there. We selected the Bullta Course. Meats are order through the server. Banchan, appetizers, sides, some sushi and utensils are all self serve. There is a instant ramen station as well. The meat quality and flavors were alright. Bullta just keeps improving since they first opened! I like to see these positive changes. The inside is fun and welcoming. I do love this about this location. There's a few AYCE options and the higher priced items also include ordering fresh, made to order sushi and other delicacies! The first few times I've been here, the bar where you get all your fixings and items such as sushi rolls was not as fresh as I would have liked. This most recent experience had fresh items and the bar was well stocked! I love to see these improvements. They do have your DIY Ramen station which I love too. Customers need to pay attention to the ramen making instructions when they do this on their own. Like with many Korean BBQ spots, this place also has a robot to assist with serving and making the customers happy. I do recommend this place when you want a fun environment for Korean BBQ! If I had choose one KBBQ place to go to, it will havbe Bullta! I've been going Bullta since they first opened and I believe it's the most consistent kbbq restaurant I've ever been to! The restaurant is huge, and when you first step in, you're greeted with loud K-pop music and the host. I typically go for dinner on weekends and it can be busy during that time. Once seated, the server will ask you which option you would like, and I always choose the family course. Every time we go, we MUST order the corn cheese and steamed egg, and I think they have the best in Sacramento. As for meats, my go-to's are the marinated boneless shortrib, beef belly (my personal favorite), brisket and thin cut pork belly! You are allowed to order 3 meats at a time and however many sides you want, but we try to limit that to get our money's worth. After ordering meats, you can go to the self-serve bar and get some side dishes. My plate will always have the meat sauce, house spicy sauce, some raw jalapeño and garlic, cucumber kimchi, pink daikon, and the julienned green onion. The tender and delicious meat in combination with the side dishes is so good, and the acidity from the sides helps with not getting tired of the fattiness. The food gets served by robots that follow paths around the restaurant and will stop in front of your table with your food and will have a receipt on it for verification. I prefer being served by people as the robots could get in the way of people and may bump into them. As for the grill itself, I like that it is constantly sucks in the smoke as you're grilling, rather than having a vent hang above you and honestly those don't work that well. I do miss the metal trays that had before that had little sections for side dishes, now they have round dishes that don't hit the same but still do the job. Our servers are always coming by to make sure we received our orders and offer to put in more if it looks like we're finishing up, which is nice. They also put an effort into talking with us and answer any questions we have about the menu or certain items. I like to end my meal with getting a spicy cold noodle with some pork belly which is something everyone should try! Came here for AYCE KBBQ and it was super good! The interior is beautiful and this setting is great for both families and hungry college students. Sushi was really tasty, gimbap was a little disappointing though. Kimchi jiggae was pretty good. The fruit was outstanding (pineapple, green grapes, oranges). I also really liked the mung bean salad and cucumber kimchi. Whenever something ran out, someone on staff was immediately wiring the kitchen about it. The beef brisket was delicious, not too much fat on most pieces even when some plates looked like 50% fat before cooking . I tried one round of beef belly and it was just gross how much fat there was, so we went back to the beef brisket and preferred its flavor. The service here was amazing especially given that we were a party of like 50+ (reserved). Orders came as fast as possible and they were slicing meat as we ate. The older Korean woman who served our table was especially great. When I forgot my Invisalign and came back for it, she found it in the kitchen and rinsed it for me before handing it over and she was so sweet and nice about it. We got the Bullta all you can eat option. I got to try large intestine for the first time, and it was great! I would say the meats are pretty standard. Our waitress was efficient and kind! For me, the downsides were in two areas. First, the sides (which you get yourself at the buffet) were below my expectations. The cucumbers were not crunchy, they didn't offer fish cake, and overall none of the banchan were very flavorful on their own. The rice was also self-serve from a huge rice cooker and was not piping hot. The other area was the drinks. I got a margarita. The flavor was fine but I could not detect any alcohol in it and didn't even get a nice buzz. I felt like I had spent $12 for a fancy water. Maybe I should have ordered a bottle of soju. They also have a "Bullta" course for $39.95 which includes more meat selections like wagyu, pork jowl and prime steak. They have a sauce bar, salad bar, and banchan bar that is self-served. I wished there was more banchans to choose from. Some meats we tried include, brisket, beef bulgogi, boneless finger rib, beef belly, boneless galbi, thin-cut pork belly and pork shoulder. I liked the brisket, beef belly, and boneless galbi. The boneless finger rib was too chewy making it hard to eat. The thin-cut pork belly was a bit too thin for my liking. The bulgogi was on the sweeter side. We got the corn cheese and steamed eggs to try from the appetizers. We loved the corn cheese! The meat and appetizers were brought out to us by a robot. For dipping sauces, I like the one that contained ponzu sauce with garlic and jalapeño or just a simple mixture of salt and pepper with sesame oil. The interior was decorated pretty nicely, it gave a karaoke or club vibe and the bathrooms were decorated with a lot of bling which was pretty cool! This past weekend, after driving by it so many times, we finally gave Bullta a try. We were in the mood for some KBBQ and said let's "give it a shot". We got there at roughly 4:30 pm and it wasn't busy at all. The host immediately sat us down and got us waters shortly after we sat down. The whole staff was very attentive and was frequently checking in on our table which is always GREAT. The dining area is also quite spacious and very modern looking with TVs almost everywhere around. BULTA offers both KBBQ and hotpot for those craving both, this time around we only chose the KBBQ mini course. The mini course has a variety of options for pretty good price. Included in this all is the ramen bar as well as the salad and hot food bar. The meats are brought to you by a mini robot and you just take and the robot goes away. The Cajun meats were all well seasoned but if you want different flavors for your meats they have a lot to offer in their salad bar. The food at the hot food bar was pretty good and tasted fresh. They have different sushi rolls and fried noodles as well as other mini bites. Their ramen bar has a variety of different buddak noodles and different broths as well. Despite our waitress coming by to ask if we wanted more food, she didn't clear our empty meat trays. We ended up having to stack them ourselves on the side of the table just to make room, which stood out since neighboring tables seemed to be cleared promptly. Regarding the food, the meats were okay, and the side dishes were decent. However, their kimchi (which I consider a staple for any KBBQ spot) was not good. We also had one order of their marinated boneless short rib that arrived chopped up into pieces with a noticeable gray discoloration. The lack of freshness was a major red flag that immediately killed our appetite. Due to the poor service and quality of the meats, my partner and I stopped eating after two rounds. On the positive side, their self-serve bar for rice, side dishes, DIY ramen bowls, and sauces was a great feature. You also cannot go wrong with Melona icecream bars as well. However, for the value and quality, it was definitely not worth it and does not currently measure up to other local favorites, like Blue House, Daikon, and Oz. This was our first time here, we had a large group and the service was so-so. The server was very kind but didn't seem to check in as often as other Korean BBQ places we have been to in the past (mainly OZ and Daikon). I asked for a soda when we ordered and did not receive it (although the rest of the table received their drinks) I had to ask two more times before it came. Others at our table had already finished their first round of drinks by the time I received mine. We loved the appetizer/sushi bar and the DIY ramen. Since they first opened, I've eaten here more times than I can count. At first the Happy Birthday song tradition was cool, but it started to get annoying because it's extremely loud and not an enjoyable loud but more obnoxious. Recently every time I go back, the bonchons are lacking in variety and taste and the service....has gone downhill. Our server also told us that there's a new chef, which now makes sense. My last visit was on a Tuesday night, it was not busy at all. We (a party of 3) were seated immediately. Our server, Crystal, was not attentive. From the start, we asked for 3 waters and she only brought 1. We ended up asking for more water cups and she only brings yet 1 again. The third person in our group just stuck to their soda but did want water too like we originally said. Throughout the meal, she would take a long time to come back to give us another round of meat and by the time she came, our grill was burnt from having nothing to cook. Most of the time we just sat there and ate our side dishes and tried to get her attention. We asked for water refills for our two cups and she goes to get the water pitcher but pours the waters into the grills instead at two different table. We had ordered another round and the robot server came out with nothing to our table. We explained to a different server that there was nothing on the robot and we are still waiting on our last order. Because of the lack of attention to serve, we were more full off waiting around than actually eating. Our server also had the audacity to look over our shoulders as we were signing our tab, as if she was looking for a tip... This is an updated review. It's been a while since we went to Bullta, and there have been a lot of changes that we were quite disappointed about. They no longer have their awesome lunch trays, which was so convenient. The plates they now have are pretty small. With the banchan, it's not easy to get sides that don't mix together (not ideal). Also, we were quite sad that the banchan bar is now so limited. Where are the gimari?! Bring them bacccck! While the gimbap option is great, they go SO fast and aren't refilled fast enough. You're lucky to get one piece. Also, I got a simple Coke to drink and it was gross. They skimped on the syrup, so all I tasted was carbonated water. Also, the service has definitely gone downhill. We had our son with us and were sat at the back area at the very corner where the bar was. This meant that we were neglected. We had to flag down our waiter several times, but he didn't really check on us until towards the end of our meal when we were already tired. And, I suspect he was only checking because they wanted to clear our table. The other thing was that the staff cleared our table only twice, so we had a bunch of dishes stacked and in the way. I could tell our waiter was a bit annoyed that the bussers weren't clearing the table, but he never said anything. No one came. Alas, he himself cleared the table. Bullta is currently my favorite k-bbq place in Sacramento! I love how they offer so many different sides, meats, and provide cute Korean lunch trays! They also have a make your own ramen station. You can add on any toppings available such as eggs and scallions. My favorite sides would be their pickled radishes, cucumbers, and bean sprouts because I need to have some veggies with all that meat. Our server was very friendly, and always came at the right time help us place another order and to change our grill. There were times when we had to wait a while for the meats to come to our table. We saw stacks of meat being put out by the kitchen workers onto a counter, but some staff would walk past it and not put it onto the robots for table delivery. We would get excited whenever a robot travels in our direction. I went with my significant other, and together we ate 5 rounds of meats! It might have been our highest record, and we were able to eat so much because we liked it that much! We also ordered steamed egg and corn cheese a few times because it is so delicious! I recommend carefully mixing the steamed egg right away and to not scrape the bottom because the bowl is so hot that it burns the egg. After we were done eating so much meat, I got us some sweet pineapple and melon for dessert as a refreshing way to finish off the meal. read more

One of the better Korean BBQ experiences I've had in a while! My partner and I decided on the "Bulta Course," and thought the menu showed plenty of options we could order. However, our waiter showed us a AYCE custom ramen bar and AYCE hot bar (including sushi, kimbap, etc) included with the tier we chose. We were happily delighted with the service and quality of all of the food prepared for us. I'd absolutely recommend Bullta for someone who loves Korean BBQ or trying for the first time. There's no question, I'll be back when I'm back in town and will happily recommend Bullta to my family/friends! read more

Came here on a Thursday night and the place was very chill with a few tables being served. The interior is really nice and is a nice ambiance with all the lights. Our server was very nice and friendly. The ayce option has a good selection of food and the buffet option has lots of good side offerings. The speed of service and food is a nice addition. We enjoyed the quality and taste of the meats as well as the side offerings. I really enjoyed my visit at the kbbq restaurant and would definitely come back and recommend. read more

The food was great and price is reasonable. No complains there. But you need infinite patience to eat here. First of all, we made a reservation for 7:30. We arrived at 7:20 and didn't get seated until 8:00. The servers were friendly and nice but seemed to be understaffed. Servers didn't come to our tables frequent / often enough for Korean BBQ place. The meat are served with robots, but there were two times the robots came to our table with empty tray. Other tables took our meat. The server also messed up our order but it was toward the end, we just let it go. We had a birthday boy at our table, which we already informed the server, but they never came to celebrate it until we reminded them. It ended up being 3 hour visit, including the 40 minutes wait to get the table. read more

Came with a party of 5 during a Friday at opening and it was empty! Server was super kind and explained how it worked. We did the mini course option at 25$ which was enough for all of us and had many great options to choose from. Server takes order of the meat options, and then food is delivered from a robot. You get to pick sides at the food bar they have (all you can eat sides). Honestly my favorite, great variety of sides to choose and sooooooo yum! The meat itself was good, but personally I felt could have been more flavorful. This is what I think could be improved here. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and pretty. We came here with a party of 9 for a family holiday dinner and had a great time! This restaurant is mainly a Korean BBQ all-you-can-eat spot, but it has started expanding its menu options. While others might not like the variety, we actually sought it out for our younger, picky eaters (children!) who might not necessarily eat the KBBQ. The other options include a Ramen bar, sushi, french fries, and a ton of other sides and bon chon stuff to enjoy. Our kids also loved the cool, autonomous robot waiter that would bring out our plates of meat! Our server was a really nice Ajumma lol...very helpful and kind with a funny sense of humor.
