I like orange chicken, and the Singapore rice noodle. Very pleasant over the phone taking my order. It's nice spot that's usually quiet but recently seen a packed house more often when Kathy picks up.

Jade Garden is one of my go to spots for Chinese food in Sacramento. They serve you fast as soon as you come walk in the door. It's always a calming experience when you dine as they have the TVs playing and it feels like you're eating at home. As for the food, the portions are always amazing to see. They do not ration over here. The quality of the food is also really great compared to other restaurants. I tend to eat General Tsos chicken at every Chinese restaurant to compare the quality of food, and they really do a great job here. Not too spicy and very delicious. This place has the Dyllan Guarantee!

Let me start this review by stating about 20 years ago I got serious food poisoning at a Chinese restaurant. It made me not want to eat this cuisine at all. Well that has changed!!! I was cruising through Yelp and came across this Chinese Restaurant close to my work. The pictures showed some really good looking food. I decided to try it. I called in and placed my order for Mongolian Beef lunch special with Chicken Fried Rice and Chow Mein. The lunch included an eggroll! I really enjoyed the food. Nice portion too. I like Chinese again!! I will definitely be coming back!!!

Ambiance: Your basic Chinese restaurant interior. Service: Staff was very friendly and actually made recommendations. Food: I got the Orange Chicken combination. It was hot, fresh, and very yummy. You cannot go wrong with this place. I drove all the way from Rancho Cordova.

    Family Meal A

Your search for dinner should end here. My god this food is too good. This is the second time i've gotten it and everything is just cooked to perfection every time. I am a texture person, and these lovely people make me feel safe. 10/10.

5/5 , great price, quality, taste and vibe. Going to come again. Best crab Rangoon I've had.

Orange chicken and Sweet and Sour chicken combo plates

Rating is based on service alone, very sweet ladies. Food looks good, but was sub par at best and tastes like I was eating someone's leftovers. Soup was flavorless and very thick, almost like mucus. Didn't finish our food, took it home because I felt bad for wasting so much. To top it all off, our fortune cookies were without fortunes inside, completely empty.

    Won ton soup

I can confirm this was one of the best won ton soups I've ever had. Tasty broth, lots to eat and fill you up, flavorful won tons. It was terrific.

First time experiencing the menu outside of Dim Sum. Here are my notes:…read more Special Fried Rice in Claypot - Refreshing fried rice due to the addition of the cilantro. You can taste the umami from the roe and other ingredients that I am not entirely sure are but taste familiar. I enjoyed and loved it. Mapo Tofu - Firm Tofu and good sauce. Although I do enjoy more of a Sichuan-style spicy mapo tofu (with the very numbing taste), I still found this mapo tofu delicious as you can taste the flavor of the pork and sauce coating the tofu. 2 Entree BBQ Platter: Roast Duck and Empress chicken - I'm biased towards roast duck. I love roast duck so any roast duck is good to me. Not a lot of comment on the duck. However, the Empress Chicken is nicely seasoned with the whatever broth they cooked it in. One of the few Empress Chickens where I can enjoy it without the scallion-ginger oil, but the scallion-ginger oil still elevates this Chicken to a higher level. Congee with Pork and Preserved Egg - Comforting and triggers a lot of nostalgic feelings for me. I didn't have to add too much additional soy sauce or chili sauce because the congee has a great base flavor. Preserved egg and pork weren't too chunky, rice was not too "mushy", and the overall congee was in a good thickness to create a nice mouth feel for each bite. Will visit again to try the other dishes.

Drinks aren't rated, as they don't sell house cocktails (though they sell a small selection of beers and wines). All-in-all a solid menu. The dilemma is that we generally felt unwelcome. We came by on a Sunday evening at 6:30 pm (and paid and left by 8:20 pm which is 10 minutes before closing). We were a party of 8 with diverse backgrounds, and with exception to one server (a woman wearing red who was maybe a manager), the staff just weren't friendly toward us. I will say that one woman in red was so kind. She made sure to say "bye" as we left. I will add one of my friends mistakenly tried to take a pair of chopsticks (as they are set on the table in a paper slip). She didn't realize they were store owned/reusable vs throwaway. She quickly apologized, but that became the final straw of awkwardness with the staff. The food was genuinely great with appropriate prices, so I may give it another shot down the road as a date night option.

A great spot for a solid Chinese meal--and surprisingly, an amazing banana cream pie!…read more The service was friendly overall, although our table wasn't checked on very often since it was so busy. That said, the food more than made up for it. Our favorite dish by far was the Spicy Calamari with Basil. It's something I'd absolutely come back for--the calamari was tender with a great texture, and the sweet, savory flavors paired perfectly with everything else we ordered. The Garlic Chili Green Beans were another standout. They had great flavor and still retained a nice crunch instead of being overly soft, giving them the perfect stir-fried texture. The Vegetable Chow Fun (with beef added) was decent but a little dry for my taste, so it's probably not something I'd order again. By the end of the meal we were completely stuffed, but we couldn't resist trying the banana cream pie. It looked huge when it arrived, and we honestly didn't think we'd finish it--but it was so delicious that we ended up eating the whole thing. Definitely don't skip dessert! I also appreciated that when I asked for hot sauce, they brought out several different options to try, including what seemed like a garlic chili sauce, chili crisp, hot mustard, and sweet and sour sauce. It was a fun touch that let us customize each bite. The restaurant also has a lot of history and character. We walked in casually without realizing it was a more upscale sit-down restaurant, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. If you go, the Spicy Calamari with Basil and the banana cream pie are absolute must-orders!

My goal is to come here during dine downtown week in January to try that menu since I hear it's worth it. For parking, it's either street parking or you can do valet parking in the garage right next door. There is no self parking in the garage. Street parking is self parking. The restaurant itself is like a long, large hallway. When you walk in, your greeted by the host desk. Then you walk towards the back and pass a bunch of booths, tables and the bar area to the right. It's built like a Craftsman style layout. When I was here recently, it was for a friend's birthday and there was a group of 10+ of us. They only do family style food so our group was split into 2 tables and each table ordered their own entrees and meals to eat family style. I was at a table of perks I had just met that night, but we had no issues sharing plates. This may not be for everyone, do you can still order your own entrees, but there won't be much variety if you don't have a lot of people. The food was good. We ordered wallet shrimp, Buddha's delight, the curry noodles/chow mein, garlic green beans and chicken chow mein. All three good was good. I would say it's above average and comparable to Din Tai Fung, but a bit cheaper. I liked the walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and buddhas delight. Service was decent. It could've been better, but could've been worse. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. I'll be back when dine downtown rolls around.

On my latest visit it was a very busy Sunday, but I was able to place an order for take-out and then wait in my car for the order to be ready. I ended up ordering the pork steamed rice noodle roll, the beef and cilantro steamed rice noodle roll, the garlic long beans, and the beef and mixed mushrooms. I saw a couple of other Elites dining in when I was ordering, but it was so busy I couldn't properly say hi, so "HI DAVID AND EVA!" I'll have to keep an eye out for their next review, because whatever they had looked delish! I waited in the car for a bit and then when the order still needed a few more minutes I popped into the dollar store next door to kill a bit more time. Before I knew it my order was ready to go. They packed everything really nicely and we served it up as soon as we got home. Their rice noodle rolls are so flavorful and I love the sweet, salty and savory sauce that comes with it. The noodles are really filling, and the dishes we got would be enough food for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. We ate the rice rolls right away and then had leftover green beans and beef and mushrooms for lunch today. The green beans were fresh and had a great garlic flavor, without it being too much. The Beef and Mushrooms was great, the beef was tender and flavorful and the mushrooms soaked up all the sauce. There were also green beans in this dish, which was a perfect addition. I really need to dine in soon for the full experience, but take-out has always been a win for me.

We decided to try a little bit of everything and here is what we ordered: hot and sour soup, potstickers, spicy cucumbers, BBQ pork, BBQ pork fried rice, Mongolian beef, and honey walnut shrimp. The food came out fast and piping hot. Pretty soon our entire table was covered with dishes. We started with the hot and sour soup, which we both felt was lacking in the flavor department. It didn't have that spicy tang that you look for when you order hot and sour soup. The potstickers were fried crispy, but the dough was a little too thick. The spicy cucumbers had no flavor to them at all. And the honey walnut shrimp was not memorable. We both felt that the two best dishes were the BBQ pork fried rice and the Mongolian beef. The beef was tender and had good flavor. The prices were extremely fair and the portions were large, but all in all this was not my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area.

We came in as a group of 7, we were sat in the very back of the restaurant and it was hot as all get out! We order a ton of food from egg roll, cream cheese won tons, beef chow fun, tomato beef chow mein, bbq pork and shrimp fried rice, sweet and sour pork, walnut shrimp, garlic greens, and Salt and pepper tofu. Everything was spot on and absolutely delicious so, why the 3 stars? There is one thing that never changed from my last review. The lack of customer service. It took forever for a waiter to even come to bring water or take our order we waiting at least 20 mins and that is unacceptable. When we did place our food and beverage order we were never check on anymore. The crazy part is my friend had to consistently get up ask for us to get more water which took another hour and asking multiple times, the other issue some of the people at our table asked for silverware instead of chopsticks that never happened at that point one of the people at our table did the job of the wait staff and grabbed silverware and napkins herself... that is ridiculous! After we where done eating we wait a long time to get the bill to the point sane said friend had to get them to come and bring the bill. Will I come back?
