We've eaten here before and have come as a pack. This last time there were about 15 of us and much to our astonishment, the three tables, which were all connected, all ordered a variation of Orange chicken. I ordered lemon chicken and the 3rd table ordered Honey chicken. It would have been helpful if we had discussed who was ordering what, but that's ok, it was good. Someone else ordered curry chicken, you would have thought we were avoiding beef but weren't doing that at all. The only thing that was off was that the shrimp egg foo young came out deconstructed, that's a no-no because we want the big, fluffy egg patties with brown gravy. We only eat authentic Chinese cuisine. Also, everyone seemed to get the same fortune out of their fortune cookie but that's minor stuff. It was something like - "you will meet someone interesting today."

My fam ate the Shrimp fried rice, said it could use a bit more shrimp but other than that it was really good.

Normally I'd give Sunny Garden 5 stars. I pretty much order the same thing every time, which is Salt & Pepper Fish & Green Beans. I messed up tonight by not checking my food before I left and they sent me home with salt & pepper pork (I absolutely do not eat pork!) Unfortunately, they were closed so no way to get help with my order, no email on their website either. My green beans were perfect per usual and my fam liked the shrimp fried rice & cheese wontons. The steamed rice was good too. I'll be back but not leaving without checking my food. Everyone makes mistakes but this was a big one for me since I do not eat any types of pork - the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. The staff is super nice tho. I'll be back in the future when I have another cheat day.

Phenomenal Chinese food! One of my favorite places and you can't beat the price. The older gentleman that works here is also so kind.

Sunny Garden is a Chinese restaurant in suburbia Folsom near the The Parkway subdivision. The menu is typical Cantonese and Americanized Chinese food. It is a solid contender with all the neighborhood Chinese restaurants. What stood out for me was some uncommon menu items not found in most of the typical restaurants around there. They had crispy skin chicken. It was pretty good considering I am in Folsom! But they do not serve it with Szechuan pepper salt. It is served with a soy ginger sauce that had a bit of a spicy kick. Plus I was hankering for some vegetables. The woman I spoke to while placing my order said to ask because sometimes they have Asian vegetables that are not on the menu such as gai lan, pea sprouts, and bitter melon. Most Chinese restaurants in this part of the Folsom 'burbs do not have these as menu items. Besides the gai lan and crispy skin chicken, I ordered the sampler plate and white rice. The sampler plate had 6 riblets of bone-in char sui pork and two of each- chicken skewers, fried vegetable egg rolls, fried prawns, and fried cream cheese wontons. Mmm. The chicken was pounded to a paper thinness. The rice was fresh, hot, and fluffy.

This place has been around for years. There's always the same gentleman there and he's friendly and gives good service. Granted the interior could use an update but hands down I would recommend this place to anyone who visits Folsom. The food quality is top notch. I've been to many places where the meat is nasty. This place delivers when it comes to quality. The service is quick and food is always prepared to my liking. The pricing in this economy is amazing!

Consistently good food with good prices. We usually get the Family Dinner B for two for takeout but there is enough food for 3.

SoCal and the Bay Area are where it's at for Asian food... and Vancouver!! Okay, sorry, I'm rambling now. Anyways, I'm glad I ventured a little farther out to Folsom to grab some delicious food. Their orange chicken is super flavorful, and I loved that they used real oranges. The Kung Pao chicken is amazing--they include a variety of veggies and squash, which I loved. The beef chow mein was on point as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the chow mein was a little too soft (though the flavor was there), and the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Three orders for $60--eeep! I miss the good ol' days when a whole plate was filled to the rim and overflowing from the to-go box for $12-$15, but it is what it is. Anyways, if you've got the dough, I'd spend it here. Have a great day!

Listen, on a real bad day, I'll pour some bourbon neat. But on a regular bad day? Banana cream pie from Fats will have me forgetting my problems real quick. Then here comes the young man at the front, asking if I've tried their strawberry pie. Sir... stay focused. I said no, asked if he tried it, and if it was actually worth betraying my original order. He said he liked it. That slice of strawberry pie made it into my order. Y'all, he didn't lie. That Strawberry Cream Pie? A solid 9/10. Had me questioning my loyalty for a second. The tea was amazing and was great to enjoy while perusing the menu. It's been awhile since we reviewed our go to Chinese restaurant so we set out to try some new dishes as well as old favorites for a fresh rating: Hot Tea - 10 - Lemon Black Tea from a special partner in China. Wonton Soup - 8 - Good flavor in a clear broth. Wonton tastes good but could use more flavor. A solid version of Wonton soup without the frills. Chicken Fried Rice - 8 - Needs a touch of soy sauce amongst other flavors Chicken Chow Mein - 9 - Almost perfect version of the dish. No flavor needed but always room for some pizzazz. Sweet and Sour Pork - 8 - Oerfectly sweetened sauce but the chicken could use a little more crisp and it could use more charred onions, bell peppers and carrots. Honey Walnut Prawns - 9 - Perfectly crisped prawns and toasted candied walnuts (and I don't like walnuts) but slightly over-sweetened sauce. Almost perfect!!! Chicken and Mixed Vegetable Stir Fry Medium Spicy - 7 - Perfectly cooked vegetables and tender chicken but the sauce amd chicken were on the bland side. Great service throughout the dinner but they do tend to stay in the back of the restaurant servicing DoorDash orders so grab their attention when they walk past! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food I honestly don't think they raised prices through COVID / inflation. I'm bumping them up to 4 stars...keep cookin!
