First time trying this place. I had the dinner b. It's seasame chicken, lemon chicken, fried rice, and chowmein for 13.93. I tipped an additional 2$ and went carry out. The service was friendly. The restaurant is small and old. The chowmein was very salty and the chicken was poor quality. I will not be coming back here again. The great Yelp reviews they have definitely fooled me. But today all I can say is that I'm Really UPSET with my experience I ordered the following: Kung pao chicken had nothing but veggies!! Chicken fried rice bearly had pieces of chicken. Chicken chow mein w maybe 3 pieces of chicken... Shrimp w lobster sauce. With about 5 shrimps. All this was about $50.00. I don't think I'll be coming back to this place. read more

I am always happy with the food from Fast Wok. It is always hot and delicious. They make it very easy to order. I can call up my usual order (which is their Dinner Special, priced at almost $11) and it is ready by the time I arrive to pick it up. And they always give me the soy sauce and chopsticks to go with it. I also recommend their paper wrapped chicken. Oh, so absolutely delicious!! If you are looking for service, this isn't the place. Believe the other reviews that say they are not real friendly. They are very accurate in my opinion. I got my "dine in" food dropped off in a to go container and nobody ever returned to check on the food, or see if I needed anything else. Also, since the main entree of Kung Pao chicken was a very small portion, it was a total bummer that almost half of it was green peppers. Yuck! Oh well, it really wasn't that good anyhow. Very, very salty too. They claim no MSG, but they definitely make up for it with the salt shaker! I am kicking myself for not driving a bit further and eating at Fortune Garden. Tried two lunch plates and they were not even close to the quality of other places like China City or Grand China. The food was way too greasy-fried and lacking taste and the chicken even tasted fishy like the cooking oil is being re-used. I love this place!!! Anyone saying the owners are rude is wrong. Not true!! They are such a cute and sweet couple. I admire them and love to patronize their business. I called an order in at 8:55 one time and they stayed open, past closing for it! Everything here is made fresh to order, so having to wait shouldn't be a big deal. Not sure why there are so many positive reviews. My fiancé and I got take out last night from here and I am now extremely sick. After just a few bites I knew something was wrong. The house chow mein had a thick, and VERY salty sauce, the chicken in the chow mein and rice tasted like fish and was rubbery, the fried rice tasted like they poured several jars of onion powder in it. I got sweet and sour pork and it just was strange. Some pieces were so crunchy I couldn't bite into them, while other pieces were soggy. The only positive was my fiancé got the sesame chicken, which was good. After just a few bites I didn't eat anymore. TMI, but I have been throwing up excessively since. This has got to be my #1 go to for Chinese food in not just the Cameron park area but all of el dorado County, not only is their's the best the owners are both so friendly each time I go in. I usually make the same order but it's always way more food than I can finish in one sitting, I can usually get 2 days out of one combo meal. I avoided trying this place for two years due to how sketchy the place looks. I was feeling spontaneous and daring recently and gave it a shot. Ended up being the tastiest Chinese food I have found in the area. Way better than shanghai or china city. The couple that runs the joint is indeed grumpy as hell -but it had no affect on the level of service (I got it to go). Perhaps if more people give them a shot it won't look like it's been out of business for 5 years anymore. Go for it! read more
