I'm so surprised this place doesn't have more reviews because when I came with my family there were other people dining in and a lot of take out orders being picked up. This restaurant is unassuming because it is in a shopping center by other restaurants and stores, but I definitely recommend trying it. My family and I got their family dinner option ($20-$22 per person depending on which dishes you choose). It came with so much food that was delicious! Their hot and sour soup is one of the best I've tried, the chow mein was chewy and flavorful, and the meat (chicken and pork) we ordered was cooked perfectly. Have dined in for lunch a couple of times in the past month. The service has been all business and not very friendly. The food comes out fast and the prices ($44 for three lunches, no drinks) are steep especially considering the amount of food has shrunken over the years. The quality of the orange chicken has changed with different owners over the last few years. Prior owners the orange chicken was horrendous. It was tiny cube sized chicken that was tough as beef jerky, not exagerating. The current owners make outstanding orange chicken. The chicken chow mein and egg rolls are awesome too, though I get my egg rolls at the grocery store anymore because 10 bucks for 4 egg rolls is too much. Those are the only things I ever ordered. They always have it made in about 15 minutes. Would be a 5 but like everywhere prices are a hair on the high side, especially if you order all 3 items which is close to 45 bucks with tax, which I don't do anymore. We were looking for chines close by and found China house. We ordered the sesame chicken which was amazing and chicken fried rice that was just ok. The egg drop soup was not that amazing but just ok. The egg roll was yummy, so if we ever order again I dill stick to just the sesame chicken and egg rolls! I might try other items but not sure I want to take the chance. I have had many people tell me to come and eat here at this restaurant. My bride and I came here for lunch and I will rate this as good but not a great experience. There was not amny peopole in the restaurant and i must tell you that their air conditioning works because before I received the menu from our server I felt hypothermia kicking in and at one point I told my wife I cannot feel my face. It was very difficutlt to communicate with our server. I was requesting beef and snow peas and she simply could not understand what I was attempting to tell her. They our serve began to speak to the cook very loudly and aggressively and we were able to hear her. In terms of Asian cuisine the food was bland and very little flavor to me. It took me a good ten minutes to get her attention again to have a to go box for our leftovers. My expereince was okay but the atmosphere was a little funky to me. Here is the big deal for me and that is was the restrooms clean. It could of just been that day but I walked into a restoom that was hit by the conditions of nuclear winter. Furthermore, the vegetables looked like they were overcooked and very slimy. So I rated this place good but not a place I will frquent often. read more

Have been looking for the best Chinese food for about three years now. Have tried quite a few but finally found the hidden gem. We have been there 3 times now and every single item has been so fresh and delicious. We have tried orange chicken, sesame chicken, walnut prawn, chow mein, chicken fried rice, cashew chicken , lemon chicken, mixed vegetables, chicken and broccoli and maybe a few other items. Visited this place since I was looking another locally Chinese restaurant to order from. The ambiance is small local start up restaurant that is just getting started. The service was friendly and during the pick up, everything went well. Now for the food. The sesame chicken was the best I've ever tasted. Nice and soft and full of flavor and it appears they use dark meat instead of white meat and white it's more juicy and flavorful. The chicken fried rice was average but ok. The hot and sour soup was more watery than I'm used to and less flavorful than I'm used to. The egg rolls were delicious and the crab Rangoon was ok and not as sweet as I'm used to. Overall it was good. Not sure I would order from here again. I have my favorite place in EDH but was looking to give this place a try since it was 5 mins closer to me. Do not eat here around closing time unless you like throwing your money away. Nothing we ordered was hot, not even warm. All the proteins were extremely soggy and not even what we had ordered. We literally threw $60 worth of food away and didn't get to eat at because it was that bad. Such a disappointment. read more

We were truly disappointed when our favorite, Shanghai, closed it's doors. The short-lived Mr. Ma didn't fair too well, and now we have China House. We came for lunch today, our first visit, and had a wonderful meal. Had the lunch special, my usual, and thought it was delicious. The ambiance is nice...even some soft Chinese orchestral music, and the staff efficient and very pleasant. Reasonable pricing and a widely varied menu.
