Sesame chicken, lemon chicken, dinner b I did eat one piece of each chicken before this pic
    John D.

First time trying this place. I had the dinner b. It's seasame chicken, lemon chicken, fried rice, and chowmein for 13.93. I tipped an additional 2$ and went carry out. The service was friendly. The restaurant is small and old. The chowmein was very salty and the chicken was poor quality. I will not be coming back here again. The great Yelp reviews they have definitely fooled me. Maybe they had a bad night when I went, I don't know.

Came back to this place after a while.. I remember how good everything was. But today all I can say is that I'm Really UPSET with my experience I ordered the following: Kung pao chicken had nothing but veggies!! Chicken fried rice bearly had pieces of chicken. Chicken chow mein w maybe 3 pieces of chicken... Shrimp w lobster sauce. With about 5 shrimps. All this was about $50.00. I don't think I'll be coming back to this place.

If you are looking for service, this isn't the place. Believe the other reviews that say they are not real friendly. They are very accurate in my opinion. I got my "dine in" food dropped off in a to go container and nobody ever returned to check on the food, or see if I needed anything else. Also, since the main entree of Kung Pao chicken was a very small portion, it was a total bummer that almost half of it was green peppers. Yuck! Oh well, it really wasn't that good anyhow. Very, very salty too. They claim no MSG, but they definitely make up for it with the salt shaker! I am kicking myself for not driving a bit further and eating at Fortune Garden. Best Chinese food this area has to offer.

Awesome egg rolls, house fried rice and szechuan chicken! I wasn't a huge fan of the house chow mein but the rest of our order was great!

We arrived a few minutes after 3 pm, when the restaurant opens for dinner. As you can imagine, we were a large group who were all hungry and ready to eat. We decided to go with the family dinner (special B) option that gives you the choice to select about a dozen menu items to share family style. This option also comes with soup, pork fried rice, egg rolls and fried shrimp for $18.50 a person. The ambience was quiet and similar to many other Chinese restaurants. They have booths and tables for smaller parties and larger rounded tables with a Lazy Susan for larger groups. The service was great. I was surprised how quickly all of the food came out. One plate after another, and suddenly the table was packed with hot food ready to eat. Everyone working was friendly and attentive, filling our cups with water, providing extra napkins, and checking on us frequently if we needed anything else. Oh, and the food was so good. I particularly loved the fried rice, broccoli beef, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef. To be honest, all of the food was delicious, but those stood out to me from the other plates we ordered. There was so much food that we couldn't eat everything, so we had plenty of takeout boxes to take food home. For the price of the family dinner options, you can't go wrong with a great price and the amount of food you get. It's very much worth it. If you are with a large group of friends and find yourself in Cameron Park, I highly recommend coming to China City to eat. You won't be disappointed. It's a hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall off of Highway 50.

The kitchen is very accessible so you can literally hear and probably watch them (if you choose to look) prepare your food which I thought was pretty cool. There's no reheating here; all of the food is prepared on demand. My daughter and I each ordered a special combo: one Mongolian beef and one orange chicken. They were both delicious and the portions were very generous so we ended up taking some home. I strongly recommend supporting this restaurant. The food was great and service was very efficient and friendly.

Iron Wok was special, then the pandemic hit, and the dream started to fade. Well the new owner has challenges, I had to send my Orange Chicken Lunch plate back. It simply was not edible for me. The chicken was rubbery, perhaps a fact of too much heat in the cooking process. It felt like I was eating a ligament, not a piece of white meat chicken. My wife's Kung Pao Shrimp was nothing great but edible. Service was acceptable, place was clean. But the food won't have me coming back. The fine art of great food is a gift, some have it, and some don't.
